Tumble 22 Cedar Park Reviews
Tumble 22 in Cedar Park continues to improve their service. And the food is great, as always. The shoestring fries are back! After an issue with their fry vendor, I’m happy to report things are back to normal at Tumble. Management is working hard to hire quality people, and I received great service today. Head on over to the Tumble 22 in Cedar Park (or Burnet or Round Rock) and enjoy some delicious Nashville hot chicken!!
My husband and I love dining here! Food is always on point and service is super fast. Nick and Jessie are the best servers!!! Everyone makes us feel at home ❤️
Food was incredible! We ordered Deviled eggs to start (fantastic), an O.G Sammy, and 3 piece tenders. Ranch sauce is out of this world ! Jayden was our server and she was amazing. Thank you!
Good food, even better service. Came in Friday for lunch with the guys from work, then brought my wife for dinner on Sunday. Both times I was fortunate enough to be sat with Jess. This kid works hard, said she had worked doubles all weekend yet still remembered what I was drinking. Wish I could give a bigger rating honestly.
We love coming here and asking for Share. Her customer service skills are amazing and when I come to enjoy the vibe she always makes it ten times better! My son loves it here too!!!!
Being in the restaurant industry for 20 years I know a good server when I see them. Tonight, Marcelo, was above amazing! He was hosting, serving, and running food. He never skipped a table, asking if they wanted refills or needed anything. He was courteous even when you could see he was all over the place. Made our experience so nice. Somebody needs to give him a hi five and I dare say a raise! ;)
Jessie has AMAZING service skills. He is extremely attentive and makes sure everything comes out quick and correct. He never lets our drinks run empty before bringing us refills. Tumble 22 has a star on their team and his name is Jessie!
This location is the best. Chicken is hot and delicious and Marc our server was prompt, friendly and gave great recommendations. Great service and food was fast coming out, not to mention their pie! I highly recommend for a great dinner!
First time going to Tumble 22. I had a great experience from the start. The host was prompt and seated me and the environs was clean and simple. The hostess, Amanda H was pleasant, engaging and was very quick to get the order. The food was hot and spicy as I liked it. Portions were good. Enjoyed the experience. Amanda was attentive and worked with a smile. Met with the manager , Travis and informed him of the good quality of food the service with a smile approach. Felt like I traveled back in time. Nice place. Will come back again. Travis stressed the hospitality training that the wait staff go through. Thumbs up!!!
Jessie makes you feel like you’re in your home kitchen. He’s awesome. Love this place and love having him as a server. Wonderful takeout experience.
My first time coming here to Tumble 22 excellent food the chicken fries, mac & cheese everything tasted so good. Our server Marcelo was so awesome and friendly. We definitely will be coming back!!
Excellent chicken. Only had the tenders, but I’ll be back based on them. Fries are standard, so maybe the other sides would be more impressive, but the chicken shines. Had the dang hot which was a decent burn (spice tolerance is on the higher side). Tenders also are huge! Excellent serving and thin and crispy batter. I’ll be back.
we had cher as our waitress and she was so nice and sweet! we loved her so much it made our experience amazing! great food and fun atmosphere
I've never been disappointed by a Tumble22 chicken sandwich. I always order extra pickles x2 because these folks are as good at pickles as they are at fried chicken. But, a bit stingy about the pickles! I also always order a couple kid's meals for the pups as this is a rare treat for all of us. They prefer them over Chick-fil-A kid's meals which are massively overpriced anyway. I only have two disappointments: I swear their fries used to be parmesan encrusted or something. They were the best fries ever, but now they're just good, nothing special. And their white queso seems to have been replaced with some ick yellow stuff, so it's no longer included in our order. I'm not removing a star, though, because this place remains tied as one of our favorite local restaurants.
I highly recommend this establishment. The restaurant is impeccably clean and boasts a pleasant atmosphere, complemented by the exceptional service provided by the friendly staff. It is an ideal location to socialize with the community, fostering a relaxed environment for conversation. I plan to return. The customer service is outstanding; the staff ensures complete satisfaction and provides a welcoming experience. Marcello, in particular, exemplifies this exceptional service, going above and beyond by providing complimentary beverages. The food quality is equally impressive; my chicken tenders, fries, and mac and cheese were delicious.
Ladies and Gentz... I met my match. If you know anything about me, you'll learn that I love spicy food. Almost everything I eat has some type of kick to it... but this was our first time trying this place and it was delicious! I got the chicken sandwich (Stupid Spicy) with a side of dirty mac and cheese. BEWARE - I quickly learned that the Stupid Spicy is made with Ghost Peppers 🌶!
Just moved to Austin and I’ve been here twice in to weeks! This place is soo good I highly recommend it. The chicken is juicy and just the right level of spicy (I get mo hot). The service has always been great, but exceptional last time. Shout out to Rodrigo v for his help 🥳. I can’t wait to go back.
This is my first visit to Tumble22 Chicken. I am a Chicken and Seafood guy so I have been looking forward to eating here. I was very happy with the quality of the food, their delicious way of differentiating themselves from the KFC, Popeyes and the Church's Chickens of the world, and their super friendly servers and management.. I ordered the boneless Jumbo Chicken Strips because I enjoy eating meat instead of chewing on bones. The chicken was FANTASTIC! I was amazed at so many options for spicy heat. Full disclosure...I chose the lowest, WHIMPY option. The chicken had a light and crispy batter that was the perfect complement to the meat. It was not too much batter and most importantly there was NO GREASE. It was fresh and hot but not too hot to eat. My Arnold Palmer even had a little twist to it that was really enjoyable. It tasted like they used lemon or lime concentrate to make it a little bit more tart than the thousand other Arnold Palmers I have drank. The tartness really went well with the fried chicken. The side order of beans was also a pleasant surprise because it wasn't overly meaty or sweet. They had a delicious Mexican bean flare to them. I chose their very unique house sauce that is like thousand Island (without the pickles) and a touch of horseradish. Wow! Both ingredients are favorites of mine. Then, the final touch...sweet pickles! So good I asked for extras. Good music, bright atmosphere, super clean, and fantastic Chicken.
Share served me and deserves 10 out of five stars. She brings southern hospitality to the next level. My first time here, she helped explain the menu, helped me decide an outstanding meal! Wonderful all around. Would recommend to everyone; come see her and try out the amazing food!
🐓 If you don’t like really Crispy amazingly flavored Chicken then this ain’t for you 🤣! I was stunned by how good everything was. The bean’s, the Slaw, the Mac and Cheese, the Pickle, the Bread, AND THEN THERE IS THE CHICKEN. Perfectly Cooked and packed with flavor. I order the mildest Spice level for my meal, then another Wing at the highest level. That Wing was Hot, but it really intensified the flavor and it wasn’t uncomfortable to consume. I wanted more! I’m going on record that this is the best Fried Chicken I ever had to date. Sorry KFC, you lose. Tumble 22 is the Real Chicken Deal!!!! Come here.
My favorite restaurant in the Austin area. The food is amazing and the service is 10/10. We were attended by Marcelo, who was very kind and made sure we had everything covered (and he spoke perfect Spanish, which was great for us).
The Tumble22 Spicy Chicken Sandwich is a bold, flavor-packed offering that delivers on both heat and taste. The star of the sandwich is the perfectly fried chicken breast, which is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The spice level is noticeable but not overwhelming, providing a nice kick without masking the flavor of the chicken. The sandwich is topped with a tangy, creamy sauce that complements the heat and adds a smooth balance. The fresh pickles add a crunchy contrast, while the soft, lightly toasted brioche bun holds everything together without overpowering the flavors. If you're a fan of spicy food, this sandwich hits the right notes with its satisfying heat and well-executed ingredients. However, for those with a lower spice tolerance, the heat might be a bit much, so be prepared! Overall, Tumble22's Spicy Chicken Sandwich is a must-try for anyone who loves a bold, flavorful chicken sandwich with a good punch of spice.
Just drove away with a happy tummy and experience. Jesse was our server and was wonderful from beginning to end. He took care of my family and went above and beyond with his customer service and attention. Thank you Jesse for making our first experience so wonderful. We will definitely be back. I had the half Cobb salad with Korean Style OG chicken. Soooo good. 🤤
Brooks was absolutely the most incredible server I’ve ever had, tumble 22 is one of my favorite restaurants. I got the OG chicken sandwich. Chicken sandwiches are my favorite, but Brooks made this experience phenomenal. I would highly recommend anyone who would want to experience the full capacity that tumble 22 has to offer to ask for Brooks as he is one of the best servers I’ve ever had in my entire life. Highly recommend you coming here to dine
AMAZING customer service, especially from a young man by the name of Marcelo. He always makes sure our order is brought out correctly and within a timely manner and ensures that our table is good when it comes to our food, refills, and service. 10/10 experience every time I highly recommend bringing friends and family here!
I was met at the door by Share and her excellent service. Management knows how important first impressions are clearly. I was having a tough day but the smile and attitude brought me right out of it. Food was good as always. Overall perfect lunch experience for a challenging day. Thx!
My partner and I always come here late into the night after she gets off work, and it's really nice to have a place to dine in at that has really quick service, good food, and good drinks. Jayden has been our server for the past couple of times we've come, and she's always been on top of getting our food and drinks out and making sure we're happy!
If I could give 10 stars for Jessie’s amazing service I would, (by far my favorite server, always asked for by name!) My order got mixed up somehow and Jessie didn’t even sweat it, swooped in dropped off the correct order and took the wrong one without even making a fuss, I barely noticed it! Drinks never emptied smiles all around. 10/10 love it! See you soon Jessie!
The food was amazing. We got two chicken tender reals (three pleces) along with a side of fries and macaroni. The first order of chicken tenders was "painless" which means there were zero spices on there. This is a really good choice for those who don't like any spicy, the tenders were larger, juicy, crispy, and very filling. For the second order of tenders, we got "mo hot" which was three out of six on their heat scale. The tenders had plenty of seasoning, had a nice heat and kick to them. Will be trying the next heat level next time. Regardless of the spice level you get, the tenders were really good. The kids enjoyed the 12-piece chicken bites and was plenty of food for two kids since they enjoyed the fries and macaroni as well. The fries were really tasty and crispy, the macaroni and cheese (was cold) were really delicious, and the kids loved them. There was plenty of parking and seating inside the restaurant. The service was really good. Definitely will come back to try the bone in fried chicken and boneless chicken thighs.
First time visiting and our server Micah is prompt and attentive to listen to our questions. The fried chicken taste great and crispy. It comes with a piece of bread underneath the fried chicken. Top with two slices of pickled cucumber, it is an unique presentation. The chicken come with spiciness level ranging from 1-5 and non spicy too. Server said that 5 is hottest, spiciest as compare to the Thai hot chili. So that’s for the brave heart’s taste bud 😜. First time visitor is surprised with a complimentary dessert pie ( blueberries, pecan and etc) and a $5 voucher from the house. Felt surprised and welcomed. Will visit them again. Thanks for the delish treat.
We love coming to this location! My family and I come here so much for Fridays happy hour. We always sit at the same table and are always super happy with our experience. Jessie, our server is super attentive and awesome! The food is always delivered quickly and is the best chicken, fries, and mac and cheese we've ever had anywhere!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had a great experience at Tumble 22! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The customer service was just as impressive—everyone was friendly and helpful. The manager super cool guy and making sure guests were taken care of (I didn’t catch his name, but he was awesome!). You can tell they care about their customers. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to!
They have really tasty chicken. Please 🙏 bring in sweet chili sauce as a dipping sauce for the food. I tried a free pie once but I didnt like it because it was cold. If it was warm, I would have probably enjoyed it more. Other than that, the chicken here does not disappoint.
Yall, Share was our server and IMMEDIATELY sat us and she had nothing but AMAZING service! I’m from out of town and she gave me the run down! Explained the spice levels, and gave us samples of their sides to try out! And since it was my first time here, she got me a FREE slice of pie! The chicken plate I got, the CRISPINESS was elite and the chicken was so juicy! Those fries!!! To die for!! And she even brought me a side of their seasoning so I could sprinkle it on my fries which I 100/10 recommend! She was the STAR of the show! Her attitude was so amazing and her vibes were TO TIER! I would actually go back JUST because of her!! So make sure when yall go and try it out, ASK FOR SHARE!!! She made my first time experience the most incredible time!! Loved her soooo much!!!
You can tell when someone genuinely enjoys their job and what they do. Jesse really is good with customers. Superb customer service and he is very knowledgeable about the menu!
Popped in for lunch with a friend and we were early before the restaurant actually was ready for service. Staff was wonderful to allow us to sit and Meghan came right over and got us drinks while we waited for the kitchen to open. She continued to check in on us and make sure we were happy with our food and even took time to talk about the menu. Highly recommend coming in for some delicious chicken and ask for Meghan!
I don't normally make reviews but I gotta say that this place is great. Props to my waiter Jayden for being so friendly! The food was delicious and extremely well priced! Would recommend for anyone looking for a great meal.
We had a lovely experience at Tumble 22 last weekend. Quick service, great options for kids, delicious hot chicken. We also loved the Szechuan fries - great appetizer with delicious flavors going on. The macaroni and cheese is legit and a great option if you have picky eaters along. All around a solid family option for a good meal.
My family and I visit this place for the first time. The staffs very nice and welcoming. They gave us free taste of their chicken and sides. It was good! Their foods is absolutely delicious. The one that attend us his name is Marcelo he’s such a sweet person and we are very satisfied with him.
Chicken was juicy, wonderfully cooked. Our server, Nick, made sure to take care of us the entire time & even gave me a complimentary slice of pie for my birthday.
Loved the food. We got the O.G sandwich and the chicken tender. The chicken was very delicious. Marcelo was our server and he was so professional and friendly.
We love coming to Tumble 22 in Cedar Park! The food is always consistent, fresh, and full of flavor every single time we visit. It’s hard to find that kind of reliability, and this location really delivers. We especially want to recognize Gabriel, who has waited on us multiple times. He is always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. No matter how busy it is, he makes sure we’re taken care of and checks in with a great attitude. Service like his is a big reason we keep coming back. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for great food and even better service!
We’re new here, and Jesse was so welcoming! He was super attentive and made sure we had a great first time. The waiter gave us some pies to try, and they were amazing. The chicken was incredible! We’re definitely coming back. Thank you Jesse!
I love their food but I don't love their drive thru, its awkward and somewhat inconsistent. Sometimes there has been someone taking orders at the drive through entrance and I picked up at the window. Other times I had to go to the window to order, then was told to park in a certain parking space # only to finf another car parked there. I hope they will invest in a regular drive thru setup if they haven't already. I usually just order my food through a delivery service now. I love the chicken bites and the huge bag of delicious fries that come with them!
We went to Tumble 22 in cedar park tonight and were very impressed. It was our first time and even our kids loved it. The star of the show was our server Jesse though. He was one of the best servers we’ve had. So knowledgeable about the menu, was so kind and even gave us complimentary pie. We’ll definitely be back!
First time here was amazing! The food was great and everything was made in house and you could tell. Our waitress Share was phenomenal, made our first time experience great. She was helpful with what to order and overall had great customer service. Please ask for her next time you stop in.
We were driving by on the way to Austin when my boyfriend and I noticed the sign. Since it was lunch we decided to give it a try. First, I really need to give a shout-out to Cher. We looked lost as we walked in and apologized for taking a long time to order. She asked if it was our first time. We said yes and she immediately began explaining a bit about the selections, brought us our drinks while we thought about her recommended meals after bringing us a few samples from the menu which was really awesome! (sorry about the run on sentences 😬) Seriously though, great food. We ordered and enjoyed the music as my waitress (Cher) tempted me with desert 🤪 which I ordered the Keylime pie. I hide in my room later that evening. I've been accused of being greedy, but ask me if I care. The sides are very good and the strips along with everything else were fresh and tasty. The mac is divine, but I probably won't order it again as it is very, very, heavy and feels dense after its cold. I'm certain there are customers that like it that way. I highly recommend the coleslaw and broccoli sides. The beans and greens were good too. I really want to try the chicken salad next time cause it looks great. Those pumpkin seeds were really nice with the broccoli. We're returning with the kids soon. Highly recommend this establishment. Thanks Cher and see you soon!
I always enjoy eating at Tumble 22. The food is delicious. I got the dirty mac and cheese (large size) and it was a great portion, very filling, and an incredible price. My friend got a bloody mary and said it was an 8.7/10, and one of the best he’s had in this area. The service was great! Our server was very attentive and fast!
My first experience was amazing this evening!!! The staff was genuinely friendly. I had the most exquisite bloody mary!!! Not sure who made it but wow that person has skills!!! The chicken was served hot and crispy, it was juicy and flavorful. Jessie was freeking cool. He has some really good people energy. His cs skills.... chef's kiss!!! He made the meal experience top tier!!! We will remember this and be back soon!!!
This place is amazing! My family and I just came here for dinner while in the area and are super happy with our experience. Jesse was our server and he was super attentive and amazing! The food was amazing, good quality, and fresh. Since this was our first time, he offered us a free slice of pie on the house. We got the chocolate moose pie and it looks amazing. We will definitely be returning!
Eclectic casual chicken joint, really enjoyed our whole meal experience with Jessie as our waiter / culinary guide. He helped us choose the right meals and made sure we tried all their home made sides and sauces. We sat outside and enjoyed the picnic tables, nice weather and our friends. We ordered two OG’s and two quarter dark meat Plates one with Korean BBQ sauce. The chicken breading is crisp and never got soggy, each dish’s heat is customized to your tastes. Everyone loves the mains and our favorite sides were the broccoli salad, potato salad, Mac and cheese. We finished with a shared slice of Key lime pie. Thank you Jessie and Tumble 22 for good times.
Update; We have been here a few times and most recently, October 17th for dinner. Everything is always awesome! Great chicken sandwiches and service. We will definitely keep coming back! We came here for the first time today, April 8th and had dinner. We were super impressed with everything! The chicken sandwiches were larger than expected and tasted really really good. The same with the loaded French fries. We also got dessert and it was great. The service was really good. Our waitress, Niki, was very friendly, informative and attentive. She deserves 10 stars. You want great chicken? Make this place your default chicken sandwich place to eat.
EXCEPTIONAL!! This place is downright legit! We grabbed dinner here while in Austin with some friends and were super impressed by the food. The menu is much larger than you imagine and they have a truckload of items. I had the two-piece mild (lowest heat point). It was INCREDIBLE!! Such a great combination of flavors and spices without any real heat. Wonderful food. I also had the Mac and cheese which was very good as well (a lot of places screw this up somehow). We had the trash fries also and they were killer good. I highly recommend this joint!!
My husband and I visit this place for the first time. The staffs very nice and welcoming. They gave us free taste of their chicken and sides. It was good! Their foods is absolutely delicious. I love what we got last time and still coming back soon. I recommend to all who are always cravings for the best fried chicken.
We had heard great things about this restaurant and we finally got the chance to try it. We were instantly sat and greeted. Chelsea was amazing, she was very knowledgeable, suggestive and her pickle earrings were so awesome. It was our first time and she went over everything with us. We ordered dang hot and man! Was it tasty! Lots of flavor and the chicken was moist and tender. The sides were savory and the whole experience was enough to bring us back again. We got a complimentary pie for our first visit and coupons for our next. Can’t wait!
Great chicken and menu overall I just wish the prices offered more value They used to family family picnic deals and the drastic price increases have pushed us from coming here once every two weeks to a couple times a year Yes everything’s pricey these days… but most menu items are 20% higher than where I’d say the value really should match the price.
Food is pretty good, for fried chicken. Atmosphere is lacking. Service was fair. My daughter loved it. I thought it overall was just ok.
Nut allergy friendly, I didn't even ask. Review is for take-out. We ordered the O.G. Sandwich (Painless level) and Dirty Fries. It was ready pretty quickly. O.G. Sandwich (3/5): A huge, decently flavorful sandwich. I'd normally say it's a 4/5 - just too much mayo, but otherwise it was big enough that we split it among two people. However, we found some browned lettuce in it that didn't seem so fresh, which didn't help my enjoyment. Dirty Fries (4/5): A hefty amount of shoestring fries, pulled chicken, two pickles, and queso. The menu online notes that it's hot chicken but it certainly was not. There was a lot of queso, making the fries soggy very quickly. Overall, 3.5/5 rounded up for the value.
So delicious and the spice is truly authentic. Definitely exercise caution when choosing your spice level. The chicken was crunchy and well cooked and most notably they have deviled eggs! They were very delicious. I definitely recommend if you love deviled eggs and also try the sandwhiches!
I've been to the RR location several times, and it's excellent. Today was first time at Cedar Park location, good was completely different, if the first time I went to Tumble 22 the food was like what I got at CP, I wouldn't have come back, the star of the show, the chicken thighs, dry-overcooked. The RR location has much better chicken. I will say that the staff at both locations is excellent. I will keep going back, but to the RR location.
Waitstaff was great. Our appetizer was cold, but our chicken sandwich sandwiches were somewhat warmer. Waiters were in intensive and quick. Definitely will be going back to give them another try.
The food was delicious. My son got the stupid hot and damn it was hot! I got the mo' hot, still spicy but not bad. The salads were awesome! Lots of food! We shared the buttermilk pie, it was good but not as good as mine. Service was excellent!
Our first time here and we were welcomed by the staff on entry. They were extremely attentive and made sure our first experience was a good one. The waiter gave us pies to try and they were awesome. The chicken was good but could use more sauce and be more moist. We will return for the pie.
OG sammich is legit. You need about 4 hands to hold the entire thing. Their regular bone on chicken from this location is dry and flavorless and expensive. Popeyes has better flavor. However, the quality of chicken is solid. No fatty bits. Their cheese sauce is great. Their macaroni and cheese is always mealy. Do not order this. They always keep you waiting if you order online and do pick up. I would recommend the drive thru to save yourself time.
Picked up the Mac-n- cheese dirty. Mac was really good, creamy. Chicken pieces were at least 1 to 2 days old. Really dry, stale tasting, not hot at all. Very disappointing.
Tumble 22 is one of my favorite restaurant chains. On my first visit to Cedar Park, I thought I had found the best location. I will still say that the food may be the best. But after three visits, the service is worse every time. Today it was laughable. When we walked in, we asked if we could be seated at the nearest tables to the door. We explained that because my wife was on crutches, the height of the booth and proximity to the door would be helpful. The hostess said she could not seat us there because it was a 4-top. This occurred at 2:30 in the afternoon when the restaurant was slow. Before being seated, we had already discussed not sitting in the bar area. On our prior visit, the bartender was unable to keep up with her bar and section while the manager offered no help. The bartender today was not in the weeds but unprofessional to the point of being impolite. While we had a sense of humor about it all, I will not dine in again. You will not find better Nashville hot chicken outside of Nashville. They offer the best fried chicken and chicken sandwich in the Austin metro area. The OG or little OG are the way to go for chicken sandwiches. The specialty or limited edition sandwiches are overkill with too many ingredients smothering the chicken.
This place is pretty good in you are craving spicy chicken. The original location is much better; however, this will do to satisfy the craving. I was surprised to find grape soda on tap! The fries are very crispy and addicting. The chicken bites were not evenly flavored. Some were spicy and some bland. For a busy Saturday lunch I was in and out quickly which is a plus. Overall it’s worth a try.
This was our first time trying Tumble 22 and we showed up around 11 am for an early lunch. Definitely a chicken place, and overall, the chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Even the breast meat tenders were juicy and not dry like you get at other places. We ordered the O.G. Chicken Sandwich, the 1/4 Dark Korean Style, the 3 Piece Jumbo Tenders, and the 3 Chicken Bites Kids Meal. The chicken sandwich was large, and the toppings did not overwhelm the chicken. We got the chicken "Mo' Hot," and it was the perfect balance of flavor and heat. There is no doubt that it's a large sandwich, but it does cost $11.95, and if you want fries, you have to pay an additional $2. Same with the chicken tenders. Three tenders will cost you $11.29, and you again have to pay an additional $2 for fries (or another side). The tenders are on the larger size, but are they really worth $4 a piece? You add in a sweet tea or soda for $2.75, and each meal is up to $16 or $17. I'm sorry... I know there are some great reviews, and I agree that the chicken is good, but I can't get around the cost. I'm glad we tried it, and if cost isn't a factor for you, then definitely give them a try.
Tables were very sticky and utensils were filthy. Food was okay. Went during happy hour (4-6PM) for 2 lil O.G. sandwiches (dang hot and stupid hot) $5 each. Dirty fries and dirty mac n cheese also $5 each. Plus a side of slaw $3. Totaled out to be ~$25. The chicken sandwiches were ok, def. not made to order as the chicken was dry. Good portion, def not as lil as I thought. More regular sized. The dang hot spice level was mild until the very last few bites? not sure how it got hot all of a sudden. For reference Fiancé said the stupid hot was less hot than Buldak (korean stir fried instant noodles). Sandwiches were dripping in oil. The dirty loaded fries and mac n cheese had very dry chicken. Tasted like they sat there for a good while and smothered in queso (fries) to hide how dry it was. The mac and cheese, you can just visually see how dry the chicken was. Best item was surprisingly the slaw. Not overly fatty heavy mayo, had some kale? and purple cabbage. Service was ok. Our waters were never refilled when we went at 4PM. Not many people there. All in all, would not visit again as the place felt very unsanitary. Outside looks nice but the dining table and utensils were just absolutely disgusting. Even wiping everything down with water didn't make a difference, seemed like years worth of grime caked on and old utensils...
Service was great, consistent with the name, but unfortunately the food was sub-par at best. This location really misses the mark compared to others. Based on this experience, it’s simply not worth returning—this one just isn’t it.
We've been to other locations of Tumble 22 and have always had great food. First time here and sadly it was just not good. Deviled eggs were a really off color and tasted strange, dirty fries were drown in runny queso with a few random chicken pieces on top, do not believe the good looking pics you see like I did. The chicken sandwiches were pretty good that my family got, thankfully, and our server was really great. Maybe we came on an off day? But all the food seemed not very fresh or not much care put into it.
Been to this location twice now. Definitely the worst one I've ever been to. Food is terrible, always cold and been under a heat lamp that's broken. Chicken is dry and just plain rough. When we ordered spice, only one side had seasoning. Staff are mid and enjoy standing around instead of serving tables. Rule of thumb. Always have drinks brought before food. It also doesn't hurt if the food is at least fresh. Won't being going a third time cause then that's on me. The location on Burnet is like a completely different restaurant. There food is always on point and staff is just better. Oh and they charge for a drink when it comes with the kids meal.
I truly love the food and usually enjoy the service, which is why this is so disappointing to write. I drive 30 minutes to get here and regularly spend $60+ per visit, only to keep running into the same issue something is missing from my order. This has been the fifth time this has happened to me. I understand that things happen, but this should not be a consistent issue. This last time, when my food was handed to me in my car, I specifically asked the waiter if the bag had been checked. He looked me in the eye and said yes. Unfortunately, when I got home, I found a side missing, along with the extra sauces I had paid for. After multiple experiences like this, I’m really disappointed to say I’m done and won’t be coming back.
My recent experience at Tumble22 fell short of expectations. The chicken leg, unfortunately, was not just undercooked but had a distinctly unpleasant odor that was hard to overlook. The salad, meant to balance things out, featured tomatoes that were clearly past their prime – a disappointing combination. The overall quality of the meal has made me hesitant to revisit Tumble22. It's a shame when a dining experience is marred by issues like these, and I hope the restaurant takes steps to improve its food quality.
Ordered the Korean chicken sandwich on 5/9. We placed the order online at 7:18, with a pickup time of 7:30. When we arrived at the drive-thru at 7:40, we still had to wait another 20 minutes to get our order. Once home, we discovered the chicken was raw and uncooked. We called the manager, who seemed indifferent to our complaint about the raw meat. Despite this, we decided to give them another chance on 6/12 because we enjoy their food. Unfortunately, the same issue occurred. We ordered online with a pickup time of 8:05 but waited until 8:30 while the staff ignored customers waiting for online orders. It wasn't until we asked for a manager that we received any attention. We will never return to this location.
I never leave reviews for food, this may be my first food review but I felt compelled after this previous experience. I typically order pick up on the weekends, my son gets super excited because he loves the chicken, he calls them dragon bites. In the past they had been wonderful - large portions, great taste. However the previous three times have been disappointing. I wanted to think it was an isolated incident because of my family's love for the place, but after this time I now think differently. I ordered my son the 3 chicken bite combo and what he got was beyond rediculous, the smallest chicken bites I've ever seen! Smaller than the nasty popcorn chicken from Sonic. How could this even be considered acceptable? They are literally the size of a nickel, see the attached photos. All three lined up are smaller than a ketchup packet... I get it, sometimes restaurants skimp on food, but to do it to a kid's meal is absolutely pathetic. It infuriates me.
I’ve always enjoyed Tumble22, and since moving from Round Rock to Cedar Park, I decided to place my first order here. However, I noticed that the sauce portions were smaller than expected, and the chicken was a bit dry. Additionally, the Sichuan fries were missing cilantro and green onions, which I usually enjoy.
Jumbo tenders?? Really?? 3 piece Jumbo, and 2 piece jumbo... I thought the first time was a fluke, gave grace on the second time, but this is the third time. Paid over $50 for this... These are the same size as tenders as you get from bushes chicken, but for the price you get 20 of them there. This is false advertising calling these jumbo. I won't be back. It's not worth it, a complete rip off for some half seasoned chicken, and I mean that in a literal sense, only one side of the chicken was seasoned, the 2 piece wasn't seasoned at all. I've attached photos so others who stumble on this review can save their money. Also, we never received the fries. I should've checked before leaving, but you should really try to ensure your patrons get what they paid for.
used to love this place, but the quality has gone down significantly recently. We ordered to-go and it was a complete disaster. The sandwich was literally pouring oil, making it inedible, and the fries were incredibly dry. Worst of all, the chicken was not cooked well. That is a major safety concern. It feels like they just don't care about the food quality anymore. It’s sad to see another Leander business potentially going under due to lack of standards. I won't be recommending this spot and will not be visiting again
