A truly special place: as soon as you walk in, you immediately feel at home. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and the people treat you with a genuine smile, something rare these days. The food is excellent, authentic, with that homey feel that immediately reminds you of an old-school mountain trattoria. Highly recommended!

Charming little family restaurant for 50 years in the Ayas valley, formerly a family of clog makers, warm welcome, excellent family cuisine, friendly place and a friendly family who will explain their journey to you for 50 years, nice

The restaurant is decorated in a typical mountain style. Excellent traditional dishes, perfectly cooked. The family atmosphere is evident and palpable. The service is courteous and fast. Good value for money.

A homey atmosphere in Champoluc. Welcoming and attentive service. The cured meats and cheeses appetizer is excellent. The Valdostante crespelle are a must-try, and the pappardelle with hare ragù is also very good. On a positive note, it's one of the few restaurants open in the area at the end of April. We'll be back!

Excellent place, with plenty of parking and bus parking. The service was very fast. The order was quick; within 10 minutes, they had already brought our cheese and cured meat appetizer. The lady was very friendly and made sure we liked what she brought us. We had an appetizer for two, two main courses, a small bottle of local wine, and a homemade amaro...total €50. Everything was very good. Recommended!

Very authentic vibe outside the main part of town with locals and tourists. Best meal we had while in Champoluc. Service was also lovely. Definitely go here if you’re staying in the area and you want honest, local cuisine!!

Le Sabot in Champoluc offers a cozy, rustic ambiance with traditional Aosta Valley dishes like polenta, fondue, and carbonada. Ideal for families, it’s open daily with seating for up to 70 guests.

For years I've driven past it, saying I wanted to try it, and today I finally did. Le Sabot isn't huge, but it's warm and welcoming, all in wood and decorated in typical Valley style. I had the exceptional pappardelle with hare ragu, but others also tried the wonderful risotto. The mixed cured meats and cheese platter, eaten as a main course even though it should have been an appetizer, was also rich and flavorful. The desserts didn't disappoint either, and the cakes—a sbrisolona with Nutella and a lemon and meringue cake—were delicious. I also recommend the lemon sorbet and licorice liqueur! All homemade, of course! The best touch? The incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming staff who treated us wonderfully. We'll be back... and soon!

Excellent. Two nights in the town, and we went here both nights. Family ran restaurant since 1974, with the front of house currently a hilarious and caring Mother and Daughter duo. Serving the best hare ragu, excellent wine, and a great take on Tiramisu.

The owner immediately realized we were both foodies. :) The gnocchi with fondue (fontina) are wonderful, but what will always stay in my memory is one of the best hare ragùs I've ever eaten. Everything is fresh, you can taste all the spices, the homemade bread and the wine are delicious. Then, the carbonada and fries, and you'll be left wanting for nothing. 🤣 Even though it's a little further from the village, it's worth coming to try these typical dishes of the area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had a divine lunch; everything was excellent, from appetizers to desserts, and the best lard I've ever eaten. Modern prices, generous portions, and friendly staff; we'll definitely be back. There's also outdoor seating, with loungers for sunbathing, and plenty of parking with a view of the greenery.

If you want to try authentic Aosta Valley cuisine, this is the place to be. This restaurant is located just outside Champoluc, easily accessible by car or with a gentle uphill walk from the town center. The restaurant features typical mountain décor and a menu with a wide selection of local dishes, all beautifully prepared with quality ingredients. The portions are generous. We ate from appetizer to dessert, and everything was delicious, especially the pasta dishes and the polenta concia. The staff was exceptionally friendly. The price was fair. Recommended.

Very friendly staff, delicious local cured meats accompanied by honey and homemade jam, and a creamy and delicate mushroom risotto with a sweet fondue cream for the first course. Special! For dessert, an excellent berry panna cotta. Excellent value, definitely worth a visit. A homemade digestif is also offered.

Very friendly & helpful, great Italian / alpine cuisine - big car park where we were able to park our motorhome.
