First time there food was really good service was the best

I love coming to this restaurant when visiting my mom, my kids n I just enjoy the food always great.

Great place for breakfast! Good coffee, good food, quick service and plenty of seating.

Maxcy's Grill on Monroe St. In Indio, CA. ...ol' Ed Lanning & I had breakfast....after church service. I had an bacon omelette with fresh avocado...it came with a generous helping of hash browns w/wheat toast...and now for the rating....the food was delicious...!!! Didn't have to wait long...and the restrooms were clean...and no charge on beverage refills. I was content. Thanks Maxcy's...!!!

Love Maxcy's on Monroe. We go there almost every Sunday after church and meet friends. It's our home away from home. I was there today to get a gift certificate and a to-go carne asada burrito. Delicious!

Whether its on the go, or dining in. The several times we've had food from Maxcy's A Family owned Grill its full of flavor. Tacos, Double cheeseburgers , Avocado bacon cheeseburgers , Menudo, Eggs n Bacon pancakes . It's been all Delicious .And we keep coming back when we're passing thru in the area.

Visiting from Arizona and have been here for dinner and now breakfast. Amazing food, friendly staff and I cannot say enough this place. Here for 2 more days and planning on coming again. A definite place to eat

Chile Verde Special or Chile Verde Omelette (not on the menu, but I asked if they can do it because I love their Chile Verdi!) I haven't try much of anything else because the Chile Verde is so awesome!

Just like "home cooked" only better because someone else does the cooking and cleaning! The pancakes are so good and the eggs are always cooked right.

Bacon cheese burger is great. Better than In-N-Out,Sonic,& Farmerboys. Monroe Maxys is the best location in my opinion. Try it,you will be glad you did,honestly.

Straight up one the best burritos I’ve had in the valley.

My pastrami sandwich was delicious. Treated my spiritual parents, to a nice lunch, they enjoyed the steak and sandwich.

Their menudo on the weekends are great! Great food overall and great service. My wife and I love coming to this spot.

I have breakfast at four in the morning, but six am was ok this time lol. I got at Maxcy's at six am, they were open. I ordered the Machaca, beans and hash browns and a coffee, it was delicious. I will be returning another day.

Whenever I am traveling I strive to find locals favorites. This is one of those! I was here for breakfast, and they had many wonderful choices between breakfast burritos omelettes and standard pancake breakfasts. The coffee bar is self-serve and the pots are always full If you're hungry and looking for some good food it's a great place to stop in. I will definitely look them up when I'm passing this way again. Cheers

My favorite diner in the Coachella valley! I have been going here since I was a little girl, the burgers and seasoned fries are delicious! Breakfast, especially the french toast are to die for! Now I enjoy the delicious food with my own child. I hope this business continues to run for many years to come! Staff is always so attentive and friendly.

We are breakfast diner snobs. We reject trendy places that say they are "diners." We LOVE Maxcy's in Indio. Sweet people serving great food at a reasonable price. Good coffee, too!

Quick service. Great selection of food menu. Smiling waitress. Attentive Busboy even assisted in a "to go" container for us. Great warm smooth farmer brothers coffee was the best. Customers all seemed happy and at home.

Been to this place for 15 years and the food has always been great (especially the Mexican food.) On Lunch Sundays the people there are lively as well as the workers, they make the food a bit faster than other restaurants and are really nice people.

Food alway delicious . I always call ahead during lunch hour , never disappoint my food always ready. My favorite dish is the fried chicken dinner, chicken is crispy not oily , comes with a side salad , bake potato & fries or onion rings

This is my hubby's go to for a quick breakfast or lunch. It's a hole in the wall and could use some updating, however, the food and staff are outstanding! It's an old school greasy spoon.

If there was a downside at all, it would be the unavailability of some of the condiments in an area where customers may help themselves. Instead it often seems like they're hiding the salsa behind the counter and doing whatever they can not to give it out. Which honestly is kind of silly because I love their salsa and I could drink it is nothing but a compliment. But that's just how I saw it. Hope this helps highly recommend.

When you look up you will see a huge menu board as well. I ordered the Ortega omelette with hash browns and toast and added chorizo to my omelette. At first the cashier said they could not do that, but then the cook said they could. Glad they did as it was very tasty! My hubby got the avocado bacon cheeseburger combo. He stated the hamburger meat was pretty tasty and the ranch was nice to go with it. However, his fries were barely warm and dark and colors and did not taste very good. Later, we did notice customers next to us got fries and they were bright colored and looked fresh. Little disappointed on the fries, but my omelette was delicious. The hash browns were the perfect mix of toasted top and soft inside. Very very tasty. We will definitely be back again to try the other food here. The place is clean, and in good condition. Definitely recommend trying it.

The hash browns were just the way I like them--crunchy on the outside and soft in the center. Eggs were cooked to order. Coffee was just a little weak, but at least there was plenty of it. The cashier/waitress was efficient, courteous and friendly. Restrooms are very clean and plenty of convenvient parking right out front. Easy acces off Monroe. Definitely will go back as I want to try the chili verde dish.

I am visiting Palm Springs for a tradeshow this weekend and dropped in to Maxcy's Grill for breakfast. From the omelets to the French toast, everything was on point. I lobe the atmosphere of all the retired veterans. We were lucky to get there right before the crowd. You have to order first and then sit down so there could be a line right when you walk in, but it moves really quickly. We got the Ranchero Omeltye and the French toast special with eggs and bacon. Overall, it was a fun little greasy spoon, and I would come back.

Omg, bomb food. I am from LA and this May be the best place for chili cheese fries in the Coachella Valley. Great food, clean place, with amazing customer service ! My new burger spot! My husband and I highly recommend.

There were alot of people, we called out order in about 15 minutes before arriving and ask had to wait another 25 minutes. On the upside the food was very good and piping hot when we got it.

A local’s spot! Great diner that serves traditional and simple American & Mexican food. Great prices! The staff is friendly, and the place is always clean. Regardless of how busy it gets, it never feels like it’s too noisy to have a conversation with the people at your table.

Delicious pancakes and coffee good value for a breakfast

We got there just before closing. I think they might have preferred that we go elsewhere, but politely made our food to go. Burger was very good. BLT had PICKLES on it which made it pretty weird and not as good as it could have been. They don't give a list of ingredients on their sandwiches, so a good idea to ask i guess. In 71 years, I've never had a BLT come with pickles, so never thought to ask.

My sister took me out to eat for my birthday, Ave I choose Maxcy's. I love the service there, they are fast and friendly. It's such a welcoming environment. And the did is fantastic!!!

I order takeout from here all the time, (sometimes over the phone, sometimes in person) but the last several times I’ve had bad service—ordering (The quality of the food is fine but it results in the order being wrong). And it always seems to be from the same person with the AirPods/headphones in while they’re taking my order that things get messed up. I hate to point out an individual, but this is at least the 4th time it’s happened in the last couple months and it’s just frustrating to have asked for something to not be put on (for dietary issues/reasons) and it ends up on the meal anyways and you know it’s because of misheard communication because the focus wasn’t 100% there.

It was hard to fully rate this restaurant. The food is mainly why there's 4 stars. I also appreciate the fact that they have a "tip the cook" jar. The service is ... meh. The servers aren't friendly at all my husband and I are in here a lot and they still aren't just... blah. But I do have to say that I prefer this Maxcys more than the rest throughout the valley. Better prices better food.

This is not a fancy restaurant. It is a burger joint that has apparently been here since 1948. If you are craving a straight up charbroiled burger then this is the place for you .They have a condiment bar where you put all of the fixings you prefer which is nice . Your burger ends up tasting like you barbecued it in your backyard . The service is good, burgers and fries are good , shakes are great . You get what you come for here :)

The Gyro sandwich had a lot of meat & sauce, but not too much onion, like other places I've been to. I'm also use to gyro having peperoncini peppers on the side, but the pickles were a good substitute.

Very hot in the dining area but there were lots of people in there, which is a good sign. Almost couldn't find a seat! My breakfast burrito was TASTY! Great service, very friendly staff, restaurant is just very dated looking but it was nice and clean inside.

Good food at a really good price. If you're looking to grab a good meal at a typical diner you won't go wrong here. As an added bonus, they do Mexican, as well.

I got the taco salad it was mostly lettuce could of had more meat and maybe beans as a filler I guess it was more of a salad lol price was fine

Mexican breakfast was OK but definitely not spectacular. Waitress was lovely.

The service was good the waitress is very friendly. But I didn't see a lot of people in there. The food is very good, but you have to ask yourself why are there more people in there. Maybe it was just the wrong time of day I was there but I like the place.

Love this place. I always get the country breakfast or the corn beef hash with the salsa on the side, good with a bite to it, spicey. Had the french toast and was disappointed. Haven't had lunch or dinner here so you're on your own there.

I was disappointed to buy some French fries and chili cheese fries. They were staled. I saw the cashier mixing stale fries with new fries. They added excessive amount of salt and the old fries were mixed with the new fries. I can’t believe they did it in front of me. They should follow the safety and healthy rules in order to prevent cross contamination. They should mix staled fries at all no matter their reasons.

Stop by at Maxcy's for a bit to eat. Ordered a chorizo burrito and basically I got a bean and hashbrown burrito with cheese. Quite disappointed. Place was clean, music playing. Service was good sorry I can't say that about the burrito. Note: visit was on July 1st 2024 at around 830am
