Serious Brewing Company Cobleskill Reviews
After our tour at Howes Cave we were looking for a place to eat, we went to Perrone’s ( huge subs btw) & took them to Serious, we sat in a corner with our food and delicious ciders, what a great find. Love the vintage beer trays, taps, & bottles that decorate the bar. The father/ son team along with their dog were so nice and welcoming. We tried some beers and they were very good. We had a relaxing afternoon before getting back on the road, we will be back!
Stopped in after visiting Howe Caverns and The Iroquois Museum. Great find! I started with the Black IPA and it was delicious! Whenever I see a black IPA on a menu I try it and this one was extraordinary. It was balanced and had a great hop flavor but also left a creamier mouthfeel than a regular IPA. It was easy to drink and left me wanting more. My boyfriend ordered the red ale and it too was remarkable. I wanted to drink his too! The malty, but clean ale left you wanting more after every sip. Since I wanted to try another beer from this excellent brewer I tried the Serious Pale Ale and it was good, well-balanced and very easy to drink. I will definitely be back for the red ale and the black IPA! Don’t skip this brewery if you are in the area and go out of your way to visit. The owner was engaging and fun to talk to!! Overall great visit!!
Total hidden gem right outside of Howe's Cavern. Father son team brewery. Beers are seriously good. The Lager and Apricot ale were great. Big rustic interior. Wines, cider, and spirits also available here. Not much in the way of food. If you go to the caverns, make a stop and drink local
Family-owned and operated brewery occupying what looks like a former firehouse. A nice selection of brews ranging from blondes to stouts of higher proof. Only snacks available, but on hand is a menu to a local restaurant which delivers to the brewery. Clean facility, with al fresco section next to the unpaved parking lot. Very friendly staff. Various merchandise on sale, including small-batch distillates.
Extremely comfortable and welcoming brewery with a good selection of beers ranging from light bodied ales to stouts and flavored seltzers. Customer service is top notch and the brew master even took a moment to say hello to us. Really love the vibe of this place and it is close to Howes Caverns which is a well known tourist spot.
This little place was awesome. The food from JoJo's kitchen was delicious and the beers from Serious Brewing company was great! I recommend the Sour Cider. 😋🍻
Great pit stop along the road if you’re passing through. Enjoyed the IPA #4 and root beer. Took some to go! Bonus scritches for the good-est pup. Father-son team running the place were friendly. Following COVID guidelines to a t. Would return.
Fred and Bill are cool guys to talk to. Great place, great beer, everything about this place is great!!!! Easy to get to, hard to leave! Have a pint or ten, you be happy you did.

Really good beer served by a really nice father/son pair. They have a great selection (not all IPAs) and the people who run it are splendid. Plus they have to go cans, not just growlers - what a great idea! The dad showed our kids how to can the to go beers. Note that food is separate and must be ordered/picked up at the counter. Highly recommended for a visit if you are in the area.
More than meets the eye. Wide range of in-house brews and other local beers on tap. I enjoyed the IPA most. I'd suggest planning on eating here! We came after eating elsewhere and regretted it as Rub n Butts BBQ looked amazing. Definitely coming back next time we're in town.
The owners were great to talk to and gave us great ideas on other things to do in the area. They have plenty more than just beer so even if you're not a beer drinker I'd still recommend stopping by.
Was passing by to see a tourist attraction. It was closed 😡 decided to drown my sorrows with beer. 😁 I'm so glad I did! I had the chance to meet the owners and a sample a traditional lager. Excellent! If your in the area, good place and nice people.
Great beer and great hosts. Very cool establishment. The men behind the bar offered great conversation and hilarious jokes. We had a great visit.
Huge shoutout to Bill, who not only gave us great beer but also gave us a tour of the facility. Great experience all around. Highly recommend the Apricot and the Schoharie beer. Also, very pet-friendly establishment! We had the chance to meet the owner’s beautiful dog, who was one of the sweetest I’ve ever met. I’d definitely come back when in the area.
Wow! What an awesome place! Their beer and ciders are top notch but its the Owners Bill and Fred that make the beverages go down so smooth and easy! We thoroughly enjoyed our time at their place! Made my wife and I feel like regulars. Great location near both Howes Caverns and Secret Caverns. Make sure you stop if your in the area. We look forward to our next trip!
Great staff and beer! We had a great visit!
Great beer, nice building, friendly service. Session was really good! Have simple snacks but can also order food for delivery to there it bring your own food in . We had a great time, it was nice to have some locals drop off some fresh vegetables to share with us to! Would recommend to others! Also, it’s close to the caves!

Stopped here after a visit to Howes Caverns. The bar area was a little small but there was plenty of general open seating. Nice varied selection of beers on tap and local ciders available. Having the BBQ joint in the same building made for a nice lunch.
Very nice little brewery. Glad to see that they had a good amount of non-IPA offerings on tap. All the beers we tried were very well crafted and the flight prices are a good deal. Will be back again if we are in the area.

Friendly staff near Howes Cavern. Nice beer decor. However brews not that impressive. No food on premises but you can order in from local places.
