We found Grounded Coffee House while driving home from San Diego and taking the scenic beach route — so glad we stopped! Their decaf espresso was strong and delicious, just what I needed for the drive. The staff was super friendly, and I loved their cute logo so much that I bought a sticker to remember the visit. A charming little coffee stop — we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!

Stopped in randomly after a long beach day...Needed some caffeine before jumping in 2 hours of traffic. Had no idea what to get, the chick at the counter was very helpful and patient. Ordered 4 different drinks and they all were Excellent. Birthday cake latte was a hit with the kidos....Like the Terminator, "I'll be back"

My favorite local coffee shop, hands down. Beyond the amazing coffee the staff is always so pleasant. Brittany the owner is a true gem. Not only will you leave caffeinated but your spirit will be heightened from the beautiful energy of the shop.

Grounded Coffeehouse in Newport Beach is a hidden gem! Had a great experience with Abby and Nick as well as its founder (Brittany). I was displaced from the LA fires and they offered me a discount. I had their Matcha tea with a shot of espresso, and it was absolutely incredible—perfectly creamy with a rich, earthy flavor that was so satisfying. The cafe itself is stylish and inviting, with a laid-back vibe that’s perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. The staff are friendly and efficient, making the whole experience even better. If you’re a Matcha lover or just looking for a great coffeehouse in Newport Beach, this place is a must-visit!

We had a nice experience at this coffee shop. We were looking for a local coffee shop to hang out at for a while, and this one was nice. The coffee was good however the atmosphere when we went was a little loud, but we didn’t mind too much. The staff was also lovely and accommodating.

We were looking for a good coffee shop while in the Newport area. Well we found an amazing coffee shop when we found Grounded Coffee. The Bakery items (at least the cookies) are made in-house. The coffee was amazing and we even picked up some beans. It was the only coffee spot we went to all week (had to go back each day),

Stopped by Grounded Coffee for a mid-trip delight; pictured is an iced Mocha latte that’s light on the flavoring, intentionally, and a confection of Cookies! My wife got the no-sugar Paleo along with two normal OG chocolate chips! I went for the peppermint hot cocoa cookie to compliment my beverage and they paired well together. The staff here are super friendly and made the experience well worth it; easily earned a return visit for that alone!

4.5 stars. Cool lil spot in cdm. Had some time to kill before a rehearsal at 5 crowns. I got the house coffee and blueberry muffin. Both were excellent and employees were top notch. Friendly and knowledgeable. Would def come back again. They have a restroom behind the building. Great vibe. Thx Grounded. Y’all rock!!

The cookies and pastries were just okay at best. I had hoped they would be somewhat fresh, even if only a couple of hours old, but it felt like I got leftover pastries from a buffet after an entire workday. I can only wonder what the coffee tastes like at the same hour.

Came here on a weekend morning and ordered a latte, the breakfast burrito, and some cinnamon roll pastry. Everything was pretty disappointing. Latte was incredibly mediocre. Burrito was honestly pretty bad and definitely not freshly made (over-baked tortilla, filled with primarily tater tots and one overcooked egg; also it was super small). The pastry (which the cashier recommended) was whatever. At least the service was friendly and the outdoor seating is nice, but the stuff is way too expensive here to not taste better.

The space is nice with a convenient location and decent service. For the location and price point I was excited to try some high quality coffee from Laguna beach. It may have been the worst espresso drink that I have ever had. No flavor, lowest quality flavorings, and overpriced food. Please go somewhere else that cares about quality.

This is the 2nd time this week I've paid for a DECAF and got caffeinated. I even confirmed with the barista because there was no D on the cup (like there normally is) and he said yes. Now that I'm going to urgent care, he must've been too lazy to remake it. Barista was the same guy as last time too. Some people order decaf because they cannot have caffeine. Not a simple mix up!!
