El Rio Bravo Culver City Reviews
Fantastic 100% authentic Mexican food! Wo derful service and vibes. The tacos de pescado were absolutely delish. Highly recommended!
There were 11 of us, service was fantastic and the food was hot and delicious! We were visiting the area and just popped in on them and they said no problem! This little place is a gem! Drinks, food, service A+++.. we'll make this a stop every year we are in town.
My first time, for lunch, no waiting, but parking , there are oy 3 spaces, then you need to look for street parking, this is a mom & pop restaurant. The food was tasty, so I would definitely return again
If you want authentically delicious Mexican food - this is the spot. I highly recommend their Carnitas Plate - very savory, very tasteful, cooked well texture-wise. They are generous in their portions and the refried beans are good (and I’m not a big fan of beans). My partner enjoyed his Enchiladas + Chile Relleno as well. Our server was courteous and professional - thank you!
Have been driving past this place on my way home for a while decided to give it a try. It does not look like much from the outside but once you walk in it's cute. The waitress that was there that day was amazing we really liked her . The food was delicious but what I loved the most was the chips and salsa especially the green salsa it was spicy with an amazing flavor. Prices are not too bad you definitely get your money's worth . I would definitely recommend this place. They also have great specials during the week cant wait to go again...
This was exactly what my sister and I were looking for. A place that brings chips and salsa to the table to snack on before ordering. Very much a family operated feel. Food was great, we both got the chicken fajita. The flour tortillas were amazing!
I went there on Sunday with my family and I have to say that I am greatly surprised with the place. The food is great and the people who work there make you feel special. I definitely recommend this place. They have tv, so my hubby can watch his sport games.
The food is amazing. I love it. I forgot the name of the dish. It was so much delicious. It was not too spicy & hot. I preferred to have it with soup than salad. I could not believe that I finished the whole dish at once without sharing it into portions like usual. After finishing it, I was so full lol. Minus is the price is kinda costly. $34 for 1 dish & 1 horchata. It might be because of the place. But anw, once in a while, I’ll come back.
Great neighborhood eatery! Chips and salsas are delivered to your table as soon as you are seated. This visit I strayed from my favorite carnitas and ordered the shrimp fajitas. My friend enjoyed a healthy taco salad. Portions were generous and both dishes were delicious. Looking forward to going back soon and enjoying the excellent food and service.
The food is definitely made with love here. Everything that I've had tastes fresh and authentic. Just like momma used to make it. My favorites are the Carnitas Plate, the Chile Verde Plate, & the Chile Relleno Plate. They used to have Mariachi Pre Covid, and I'm hoping it comes back soon. They also have a great selection of seafood as well as a cozy place to sit outside. This place is definitely a winner!
Classic "cantina" Mexican plates restauarant. Come get your enchiladas, rellenos, and fajitas here! Also delicious spicy Chile Verde and other classics. Just like what I grew up with in the 90's - early 2000's. Excellent chips and salsa! Especially the chips. Which I usually dont eat much of, but here.... 🤤

Have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything is good. It is not Standard, but their strawberry waffles are excellent. I love their albondigas soup. Their tacos and enchiladas are some of the best I’ve eaten.
Omg. OMG - the absolute best Barbacoa I have EVER EVER had. The service was friendly and impeccable and the food was divine. Place is spotless and staff are delightful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My husband and I found this absolutely quaint Mexican restaurant by accident. While using our Maps in CarPlay, we looked at the restaurant suggestions near us. I looked them up in Yelp and decided to try it out and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious, the milieu was relaxing, and the service was great. We one thousand percent recommend it. The food tastes homemade, it just doesn't get more authentic than that. I had the Sopes and they were by far the best I've ever had. Their Sope itself was soft but lightly crisp on the outside. My husband had the Enchiladas de Mole and the face he made when he took his first bite was priceless. I could tell it took him back to his younger days. This will be our new go to spot whenever we're in the area.
El Rio Bravo in Culver City totally hit the spot for a casual, flavorful Mexican meal. I stopped in for dinner and ordered the carne asada plate with rice, beans, and tortillas, and everything came out hot, fresh, and packed with flavor. The steak was tender with a nice char on the edges, and the beans had that comforting, homemade taste that reminded me of old-school family recipes. The salsa bar was a nice touch too—plenty of heat and variety without being overwhelming. The place has a laid-back, friendly vibe, and even though it was busy, service was fast and super welcoming. It’s not trying to be fancy—it’s just good, honest food served by people who care. I left full, happy, and already planning to swing back next time I’m in the area.
Been coming to this place since they opened years ago, moved to Tennessee and every time Im in LA I try to eat here very good stuff.
Oh my god, this place is amazing!! I just took a chance on this spot because it’s a 5 minute walk from my gym and I was blown away by the food and service. The rice is heavenly and the chips are fresh. Highly recommend the enchiladas! Thanks!

Very good , came from Dallas to LA for my first time! Good food! Very satisfied!
It’s a cozy restaurant with good customer service over all. The food tasted fine. However, the shrimp cocktail lacked flavors. The juice tasted like ketchup water. It was missing that extra kick. Even after I added lemon juice and hot sauce and salt .. it didn’t hit…
Great menu and food. It is small and cozy. Parking is available behind the restaurant and also few cars on the front side. Serving is good. Outdoor seating ambience is nice. Overall, a good experience.
