Lodge Bread Culver City Reviews
Great place with delicious sandwiches and fantastic service. I had the BLT and I added an egg to that. My bf had the pastrami melt sandwich. We absolutely loved the bread and everything on the sandwich was super fresh and tasted great. Very generous portions and we were both super full after! Really recommend this place.
Lodge Bread in Los Angeles is such a cool spot! 🥖☕ The vibe is relaxed and creative — the kind of place where you instantly feel the LA energy but still want to stay for hours. The food is excellent, especially the freshly baked sourdough and their amazing toasts and sandwiches. Everything feels wholesome and made with care. And the coffee? Absolutely incredible — rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed. Whether you’re coming for breakfast, lunch, or just a quick coffee break, Lodge Bread is one of those places you’ll definitely want to come back to. Grtzz from Amsterdam 💛
Possibly my favorite bakery in LA. Rivals the like of Gjusta, but way less posh. The cashier shared that they will be expanding into the next building, and I’m so excited to see what they make with it. Lodge deserves its own footprint. I always make sure to grab a loaf and some pastries for home, when I stop in for a bite. This has been one of my go to meeting spots for many years. I only wish they did dinner! I guess a take home pizza kit will have to suffice. Heads up, no WiFi! So you can work from here if you have a hotspot. Dog friendly outside, and easy street parking.
One of my absolute favorite breakfast spots on the Westside! The breakfast sandwich is out of this world—fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The vibe is always welcoming, and the staff is super friendly. Whether you’re grabbing something quick or enjoying a slow morning, Lodge Bread never disappoints!
The sourdough cinnamon roll here is massive! More importantly, it’s really tasty. Definitely enough for 2 people to share at least, plus you get a big container of icing on the side. The icing has a nice citrusy taste and isn’t too sweet. I also tried the bread pudding which was also excellent. It was moist with a nice texture on the top. We were able to park in front of the building when we went, but that can fill up. If so, you may need to pay in an adjacent structure.
Came to this place after we landed in LAX ! It opened up at 8 and luckily we got there at 7:58 and people were already inside ! The line did not stop all . There’s seating only outside . There are a lot of workers inside and bakers baking bread . 🥖 we ordered a cappuccino a latte , baked eggs and shakshuka.. let me tell you- that breakfast was amazing !!!!! It was so delicious and the fresh bread it came with was absolutely fresh and delicious we had to take a loaf home : the coffee was decent but not our favorite . But the food was so good we will Definitely coming back ! Oh yeah and the croissants were amazing 🤩
This is one of the best restaurants/bakery that offers gourmet bread made fresh daily! I have been here twice and have ordered a loaf of bread with rosemary and other herbs, and another loaf with whole wheat and covered with rostered sesame seeds that are so fragrant! They also have a decent lunch menu but you need to order food at the counter. The line can be a bit long during lunch hours but the service is fast. We ordered a few salads and Italian sammies they were fantastic!
Seriously good bread based food 4.8 / 5.0 The bread here is legit, it's delicious and hearty bread, made properly. There are a lot of varieties of bread, pastries and dough. The pita was by far the most moist and tasty pita I've had in my entire life. The turkey sandwich was very good and the pita sandwich was excellent. All the right flavors and lots of textures and colors. Prices are very fair for what you get. Coffee was delicious. Staff very friendly and attentive. The only reason this isn't a 5 for me, which is nearly impossible is that parking is a little difficult along Washington street and all of the seating is outdoors, which can be less than pleasant in bad weather.
When it comes to croissants, Lodge Bread is my favorite in LA. It's not an easy pick, since the competition is fierce; and it's a pretty personal choice. I prefer Lodge because their croissants are made with sourdough. Oh yeah, delicious, mouthwatering sourdough. Lodge's sourdough croissants have a crunchy crust and the bottom part doesn't get soggy, the texture feels hearty. Lodge's croissants are huge, heavy, filling, and the aromatic sourdough gets me every single time. I visited Lodge Bread in Culver City four times and tried all four croissant variations every shop makes: butter, chocolate, almond, ham and cheese. I gotta say the plain one is still my favorite, for the pure sourdough taste. I also like the chocolate croissant since sourdough goes pretty well with dark chocolate. The ham cheese croissant, on the other hand, doesn't stand out with its caked cheese, cold ham and 6.5 price tag. Lodge Bread offers a lot more than croissants. Its pastry menu includes cinnamon roll, banana and coffee cakes, bread pudding, monkey cake, and cookies. Moreover, it has a full menu of wood fired pizza, toasts, and sandwiches. Last but not least, it's called Lodge Bread for a reason: it makes delectable sourdough bread: country, seeded, olive, baguette, as well as a rotating menu of daily specials. I once had an onion & fennel loaf, and relished the unique flavor.

This place has a buzz, busy and for good reason. Food is delicious and coffee is too..wish we had gone there earlier in our stay to try different things
The bakery surely impressed me by the rich varieties of bread and pastries they carried. Not only that, even the brunch menu gave abundant selections to pick from. The place was always busy with long lines and you could see even tons of pickup orders bags stood there at the counter. They had mini patio right in front of the bakery where you could enjoy the dishes, but highly recommended to place order ahead for the bakery items as they're sold out uber fast. The turnaround was relatively fast as people were chilling under the sunlight but typically doing quick meal. I tried their Jambon Beurre, which came with cheese as well. Before it was served, I thought it's kinda pricey but when I saw it, the giant size made it totally worthy, especially with the super generous stuffing. The baguette itself was doubtlessly on point with perfect texture and so enjoyable. For sweet option, I tried their Ricotta and Jam toast, which was also decadent. I could totally get it why people loved their bread as this one was pretty simple yet also turned out so good with great quality bread. As you could see from the pic, royal amount of lightly creamy ricotta, well balanced by the sweet fruit jam. Would come back to try more, and have been eyeing their croissants and cookies!
My first time here I dined in, I got one of their massive cinnamon rolls. Was so delicious, but couldn't finish it as 1 person, Also had their avocado toast which wasn't amazing as it looked, the bread was a bit toastier and mb a little burnt on the underside. 2nd time I thought I'll try one of their pizzas and another cinnamon roll to go. I enjoyed the pizza I had the mushroom one, definitely a healthy pizza. As for cinnamon roll I thought it least it would be warm, was a little disappointed to get a cold cinnamon roll. I know I probably could just heat it myself but was that the purpose of getting to go food?
Lodge bread is a bakery who puts bread first. They really make excellent baked goods, and whenever we come here we pick up a rustic Olive loaf to take home for later. Their menu features a variety of sandwiches and pizzas. Prices aren’t cheap but the portion sizes make up for it. I have not been disappointed by any sandwich I’ve tried here. The star of the menu is the Shakshuka, which they also sell to-go so you can easily make it yourself at home later (just add eggs). The food is pretty good and the servers are diligent. Seating can be limited and you’re right next to the street (indoor dining is not available). The coffee is just mediocre.
The bread is to die for. My baked egg was okay--there wasn't a ton of flavor and I think it would be easy for them to season it better. The cinnamon roll was bananas yummy--and as big as my head. Ha! My friends enjoyed their Shakshukas, but again, not the best they've had. The service is good and there's a good amount of outdoor seating.
Great spot to have brunch. Ample seating and dog friendly. Willing to come back to try more things here and take a loaf of bread home. Shakshuka was great. Definitely recommend. Sourdough cinnamon roll was enormous! Very good frosting; it had a bright, lemony taste. Half the edges had a nice caramelized taste, the other half was burnt and unedible. Took home an olive bread and it was delicious. Not my favorite of all time, but definitely up there, and I would get it again if I am nearby.
Cinnamon Roll 10/10. \n\nCoffee 1/10, ice coffee was not it ! Hopefully they can spark the flavor up soon, they have an awesome set up

The sourdough cinnamon roll is huge and comes with a side of some really nice whipped icing. I think it’s more of a fun idea than delicious though. You wouldn’t know it’s sourdough, and it’s kind of dry and plain. Not at all unctuous and sinful like I was hoping. The toasts are good but come on a very heavy and thick wheat bread. You definitely get your fiber with these options. Also tried the breakfast bun, it was hard hard on the outside, with a couple yummy tender bite on the inside. Over all an ok experience.
Honestly my first visit was a bit disappointing… this was highly rated and was on my top places to go but the breakfast Sammie I had was okay. The brioche was what made the mass majority of it 3 stars… it wasn’t fresh and tasted a bit chewy and stale. I thought it’d be freshly made, so I feel like this sandwich isn’t accurate of how their other foods are — I was debating on getting a pizza which I should’ve because those look good. The sandwich is good if you’re hungry, it’s loaded with arugula, and I got it with over hard eggs bacon. It comes with cheese and mayo. Average sandwich. If I gotten something else in the menu my rating probably would’ve been different. The parking situation is okay - you can find it around the block if not out front. There’s enough outdoor seating but no indoor. Would definitely come back to try the pizza though!
Their prices are very steep and frankly unreasonable. Their cinnamon roll is massive and looks delicious....but sadly it was very dry and underwhelming. It's mainly dry bread that tastes even drier…

Metal spring inside cookie!! What’s worse is that I’ve tried calling multiple times to just make the location aware but their phone line seems to be messed up and they continue to hang up on me. I’m not sure how this got passed quality control.
