Dania Beach Bar & Grill is a modest, informal beachfront restaurant with live music, especially on weekends. The atmosphere is generally pleasant, though it can get crowded. Some find the prices high relative to the ambiance.
Tip: Visit on weekends for the live music.
Easy traffic (don't go A1A through Hollywood Beach as it is under construction, will it ever be finished?) (take US1 to E Dania Beach Blvd), easy parking $2 hour, VIEW of and easy access to THE BEACH. It's all outside seating, friendly, ATTENTIVE staff. Burger was good because MARBLE RYE was buttered and toasted to delicious perfection!
Great bar & restaurant on Dania Beach 20 feet from the ocean. Live music, pet & kid friendly. Large selection of beers (draft & cans). Parties of all sizes welcome. Bar and wait staff are some of the best around, a most stop if you're at the beach. (If you come once, you will be back)
Great bar food, awesome service, awesome live band and really nice location a fee steps back off the beach. Definitely going back!
Great crowd of people Awesome food and awesome service. AND the beach.
Fantastic bar & grill! Good food, tasty drinks & a friendly staff. Live music four nights a week. Right on the ocean, would definitely come back.
Great place to see live music, has an awesome location, friendly staff, delicious grub. Right next to the beach, playground and pier, good for the whole fam
My FAVORITE beach dive. Excellent fresh food and the live reggae is legit! Oh, and super dog friendly 😃
Great food, not normal bar food, great service, live music, a steps away from the beach.
The best chicken wings we've ever tried!!! Service is great, people are very nice! And the prices are just funny!!!
OMG Kell-Bell is a amazeeeee af!!!!!!!!! He’s also just swell at running errands before holiday parties. 10 out of 10; would recommend.
Food is great and how nice it is to be able to go to the beach and then finish the day with awesome food and good music right there on the beach!!! 💕🏖️🌊🌴🐚🍔🍺
Nice place to relax people are nice the girls there are really helpful Coca-Cola is free refill was nice I was riding my motorcycle so it was nice to get two or three food look really good I didn't eat lunch but it looks really good
Walking down the beach stopped in they were closed but still served water, tea and coffee....awesome staff....BTW keep the parking meters full
Great outdoor place to drink a cold beer and listen to live music on the weekend. Bartenders have always been friendly and attentive (Abby, Theresa, et. al.).
It's a great place it's the last of the crummy little beach bars. That has really cold drinks great Bohemian bar food, dog friendly you must go before it gets torn down and it will get torn down.
Liked it alot, reasonable prices. Outdoor seating , straight from the beach , have some cold beers, the conch was very good, better than LeTub(conch).
Best Beach Bar in So Flo! Great location and yummy food. The Staff is friendly and good bands on the weekends!
Monica is such a sweet server. We had the Baja chicken tacos. Love to ride our bikes up here and stop for lunch.
Cool little spot right on the beach. The bartenders were friendly and social, the food was good and the ocean breeze felt nice.
Best outdoor Dive Bar in Dania Beach! Live Music and $2 for 16oz. Narragansett Lager. Right Next to the Beach!
Absolutely the best kept secret!!! Loved the band and how the bartender took care of us. Will recommend and visit again
Good food, good price for the location. Service was excellent. Also, there's a cat that hangs out near the trees.
Greatest little hangout by the beach. Amazing Fish sandwich and biggest selection of beer! Absolutely the best little shack.
Great wings but too big!!! The atmosphere is excellent , good music awesome spot. Service is fast .
Cool place, a local hangout on the beach! A little out of the way but that is probably why it is still cool. Wear a hat, it can be a bit windy
Love this place home away from home great atmosphere great food people that work there a fabulous can't say anything wrong about this establishment right on the beach great entertainment at the evening home away from home pure Paradise
Loved my Hawaiian sandwich!. Good attention and nice music. I'll be coming back soon!
Great food, atmosphere anf real friendly staff. The menu could offer more items to choose from.
Staff and Food are amazing and everything is reasonably priced! They also feature Live Music all the time!
Cute little place next to the water and beach. The band was awesome and the bartenders are very nice
This is the best place in town. Right on the beach plenty of parking. Just chill and enjoy the fish tacos some cols beer's and the owners will take care if you. Great bands and great people make this a special place to have to visit.
A perfect beach bar stop for a cold one or some good eats! Loved the laid back vibes and all service was very friendly. One of the employees dog was just chillin and that's how it should be in this environment☺ Reminded me of a beach bar on an island somewhere. Cool set up!
The music is sweet. The atmosphere is fun. The service is friendly. The food is...well bar food so its only ok. If you like burgers apparently they have an awesome one, my friend loved it. I just don't eat beef. All in all great.
The food here is fantastic and it also has an amazing view of the beach. Coming here during sunset they will have a band some days and it is great to relax and have a beer or two. The staff are also very friendly and overall this is my favorite place to come when I am visiting the area!
This place is AMAZING. Food is fantastic and so fresh. Service is great as well. Being from Indiana and not a local, the service still was perfect- no one changed how they took care of us versus locals. I highly recommend this location.
Great place for food and craft beer! awesome service. Also great entertainment through out the week! If you haven't been you should definitely check out Dania beach bar and grill!
Nice food + you may use this place for a dinner after playing with kids on the great play garden nearby. Serves tasty chicken wings + chips at moderate price. Live music sometimes. Great service.
My aunt and uncle took us there last sunday night to hear Iko Iko play with special guest Jersey Julie on sax and vocals and Her husband Olivier Mas on guitar and vocals! Food was great , ambiance was great, music and musicians were fantastic and everyone there had a blast and were so happy. Staff is so friendly and great service! What a vool place to hang out on the beach and near the beach!
This is my absolute favorite beach bar. The service is friendly and speedy, food decent and beer ice cold! Mostly a local crowd and only a few Canadians to ruin the vibe. Can I give it 6 stars!
One of my favourite spots in Broward . Great music ocean view. Outdoor venue. Food is decent. Beer is cold and 5 to 7 happy hour every day
The staffs here are great for the job they all do a very nice job I must say dat..very nice. Thanks for dat and da environment is pleasant no bad vibes just good vibes and they do have live band playing reggae and more every Wednesday is my favorite night....and the chef is a great guy...great cook and in persons a good man...well good vibes on y'all visit..peace and love.. Rock star 🌟
This was the first place in Florida I ever visited, the first time I ever visited Florida. My girlfriend Nancy and I flew from Detroit into Ft. Lauderdale Int'l on the afternoon of January 3, 2005--a warm, breezy day in the low 80s and parked in the adjacent municipal lot. The fish sandwich I had was heaven, but that has a lot to do with the magic of that day for me. It's a charming, low key little place and that's what's best about it--we ordered from a little window facing the deck and they call you when your food is ready. I'll be going back for another fish sandwich and an ice cold beer, God willing, but without my beautiful girl who passed away in 2013.
Great place to relax with some great music and a good selection of beers and food. Unpretentious. Let your hair down and have some fun!
A hidden gem! Wonderful place on the beach to get a cold drink or a full blown lunch!!! I normally would not want to tell anyone about this sweet place, but I don't want to see them ever shut down either, so go there get you bathing suit on and splash around on the beach then come over the dunes to grab and icy cold drink and a hot juicy lunch before jumping back into the salty ocean waves. Perfect location, fun people, can not find better views...on the beach baby!!!
We were visiting from the Jersey Shore, so this was a little taste of home for us since we frequent beach bars in our warmer weather. It was very CLEAN and the bartenders were extremely friendly and loved to have conversation! We visited early afternoon. The gator bites with wasabi sauce were a great mid-afternoon snack before our flight as well! Perfect location, great prices, and awesome staff!
A bit of a dive bar where locals mingle with passers by. The menu isn't extensive but the food is pretty good. Lots of options for beer lovers. The crowd can seem a bit rough for the timid few but they're harmless and rather friendly. There's almost always live music which is what sets this bar apart.
LOVE THIS PLACE! BEST BURGERS IN TOWN!!! FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS! SERVICE IS AMAZING & LOVE THE AREA AND LOCATION! Loved the live band, must of been blues night when we went which was ok but would love to hear classical rock or any other music besides blues. But LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE AND ALL THE STAFF WAS INCREDIBLE!
We were visiting from Nashville and found this place by "googling" good fish sandwich on the beach. We decided on the fish tacos however and they were so GOOD. They are hands down the best either of us have ever had and the staff was awesome too! We HIGHLY recommend it. Can't wait to go back.
Great location! My husband and I love this little beach bar! Food is great. Fish dip and a Chicago burger is the way to go. No liquor but cheap beer! we enjoy going on reggae night! pet friendly as well. AND it is 30 feet from the beach! I highly recommend this place. staff is great. sometimes there is a wait on food but that's normal when its a busy night. I choose Dania beach bar and grill over quarter deck any day!
Nice location, great view of ocean, close to beach! Not a lot of food options and a little pricey for what you get. I subbed a salad instead of fries and got charged a $3.50 up charge plus 50c for ranch! What the heck! I paid $17.00 for a ham sandwich and salad!?!?!?
Great vibe, live music and practically on the beach, what more can you ask for. Wouldn't plan for dinner here though..
Nice outdoor setting on the beach. Cool atmosphere, good food and great music. Always a nice environment to enjoy life's simple pleasures.
Fun and friendly! And on the beach, a rare thing in South Florida. No high brow, no fine dining, only beer and wine, but still a great experience
Great place for a beer and a bite after the beach. I wrapped a towel around my bathing suit and sat looking out at the beach. Fish dip was outstanding.
Nice little place right on the beach good beer prices friendly service band that was playing was good would definitely return and I have since them twice.
Great atmosphere. Cool little bar and grill with live music right on the beach. Really laid back
We went on a Wednesday night which is reggae night. The band was pretty decent. The food is good, but overpriced.
Had a burger here that tasted less than average, but the view of the beach was nice and the staff were friendly and provided me with lots of water.
Some of the musicians are good and some of the musicians are just very odd but overall great experience can't wait to go again
I love this sweet laid back bar right on the beach. Have caught sone great music there on Sunday afternoons!
Great little bar and grill steps away from Dania Beach. Food was good, a few things on the menu are popular and they run out. Good selection of craft and other beers. Outdoor seating live music ocean breeze - great afternoon. Plenty of seating and parking (meterehd $). Hidden gem... Oh and it is cool that they filled a screen from Iron Man movie here =)
Not a large menu, but the prices are good, the food was good and the service was better than average. If you are looking for a regular local spot with some live music and nothing fancy this is a great choice. I live here now and make this part of my regular places to go and eat, 4 stars.
Went there with family in a layover. Food was great. Had the fish tacos with blackened mahi mahi and the crab cake sandwich. Both were delicious. My kids also loved their fries said that they tasted like mc donalds
Great food. Perfect view. The picnic tables close to the bar can get loud with people's radios (Cuban music of course haha). I had the make-your-own burger and we tried the coconut onion rings (would've added a little more coconut, but good).
Outdoor bar. Small bar, some covered space. Not much to guard against the breeze/cold as its very open. Did not try the food. Beer selection was OK, not great. Some regional micro brews on tap. Great place to stop casually during or after a trip to the beach though! Geared towards being fun and friendly. A local dog was on hand to greet everyone who walked in. Other dogs came along with people and were friendly. Not far from the marina and the beach.
Nice location at the beach, we had a coffee here. 3.50$ for coffe is not cheap.Since we only wanted coffee, the lady was not very attentive
The food was ok. The gator bites were extremely salty but had an interesting taste. The Chicago Burger was ok.
Overpriced beers, and not very friendly. We used to love this place, been going there for 12 years, but is not what it used to be.
Cool place, great food, super nice service and free WiFi! If you're in Dania Beach I can only refill stopping by that place!
The band was great. The server we had poured waterr on my cell phone then giggled about it. She did not check on our table enough either.
The food is okay, don't get the Chicago Dog. If you like live music, you might like it. The bugs are horrible. For that reason alone, you might want to skip it.
We love stopping here for conch fritters. Unfortunately, they were out of then. This is 2nd time it happened. Call ahead to see if they have them.
It was just average. To read all these disappointing reviews and the management not assisting is disappointing. Sure there's two sides to every story but there's a lot of stories and a lot of sides here.
Stopped in for a late afternoon drink as we couldn't get in at the Quarterdeck. The place is "rustic" but is popular with the locals. Good views of the beach and we could see the departing cruise ships which had been our objective. Lots of seating outdoors on tables that should at least be painted if not replaced or repaired. There is also a substantial covered area. The bar offers a large selection of draft and bottled beers. We had Yuengling at $4.00 each. We also enjoyed a basket of chips and salsa at $4.95. The chips where homemade and hot out of the fryer but the small amount of salsa was inadequate for the amount of chips . The washrooms could use some attention. Good beachside hangout.
The food was good and the service friendly. But there were many little things that hurt our experience. It was very sunny and they did not have enough items to provide shade, plus the small umbrella they had for the table was in terrible even dangerous shape. In top of that we learned that a number of the items we ordered were not available. It looks like it is more of a night place than a restaurant.
Went for lunch on Tuesday and they were out of some beers, lemons, limes and some items on the menu. Usually have this issue on Monday. Thinking something else is going on. The salad was warm. Cold would have been the proper way to serve it. Bar stools need repair before soneone gets hurt.
The place is nice but the food is not that good we had burgers and the meat was very dry menu is small so there is few options this was about 3 months ago.. the ambiance is what makes it nice to go for some beers after or before the beach
Lindo restorán de playa, informal, con música en vivo y buena atención. Los.platos son abundantes y los baños sucios
Es buena pero no tiene espacio para caminar. Un sitio muy familiar
For the record this is a Bar and Grill in name only as they do not have a liquor license. Outdoor seating only, great atmosphere with a view of the beach. The band Electric Arrow was amazing. For a small place they had a nice menu and everyone at the table was very happy with the food. The wine on the other hand tasted like it came from a box. The biggest downfall was service. The waitress took forever for everything. I had to seek her out to order. She spilled water on my date's phone then giggled about it. Finally, she handed my debt card to other customers. When I spoke with the manager about it he said he would talk to her immediately as Dania Beach Bar & Grill is all about service and walked right past her. She handed me my copy to sign I asked her why she gave my card to the people at the next table. She told me it was because both cards are red. The manager then stepped in and sent her away. I told him that she didn't do her job correctly and needs to know. He told me that I need not be "so vocal" about it but did nothing.
The service was great. The food was decent. The location is perfect. Everything is a bit overpriced for what it is, but to be expected with the location. But the fact that a beach front place uses that many disposable products is insane. And styrofoam, are you kidding me, it's 2017!!! No wonder the beach is littered with little pieces of styrofoam. I would refer this place if they used more bio-degradable products. But a business on the ocean front that doesn't put in the effort.... sorry guys.
Decent ocean side dive bar. The beer was cold. I had the turkey sandwich. It reminded me of something that people would prepare for your child's lunch box. They served all package goods, probably from the local Publix.. There was no live music at the time I was there. The bathroom was super small and had a temperature that felt like it was 110 degrees in there.
This place was a 5 to me before. They have the BEST conch fritters. However, the last time I went in with my husband the bartender had the biggest attitude for no reason. No manners, just said uh-huh to everything with the look of an alcoholic frat boy on his face. He also had some traumatic, unhygienic looking wounds on his face. My husband manages a restaurant and said he isn’t allowed to work with open wounds like that in his face. It was gross.
I went there for chicken wings but the bartender told me they ran out. So I asked for a beer after waiting 5 minutes for the lady to comeback from the kitchen then 5 minutes more to get it. The only time she came right away was when I asked to pay for the beer. I'm giving an extra star for the location. Not coming back.
I've been here about 20 times. The music is nice when it's playing and the food isn't bad. BUT the staff ALWAYS has this attitude that they're doing you a favor by waiting on you. Not only THAT, but on more than one occasion, the waitress took away our plates while we were still eating! What's up with that? Take a chance, but don't expect too much...except for expensive burgers.
Lovely Beach Bar. I hope we caught it on an off night. We sat for 15 minutes before getting acknowledged by the wait staff. Food was not that appetizing. Beer per the waitress was cool at best. and the band.....omg.....the band.....was awful. Worst singing and music playing I have ever experienced in a bar setting. As a former bar owner, I know it hard, but I would have paid them after their first set and sent them home. Better to have no music at all than to listen to that. I will give another chance in a couple of months to be fair. I hope the management reads this and takes the constructive criticism.
We were traveling from Chicago and we stopped by here for quick eats. Ordered an app on menu but was out of stock. Ordered a diet coke. That's out of stock as well. We ordered ahi tuna(13.99), bermuda onion rings(9.99), baja fish tacos(15.99), and conch fritter(9.99). Below are pics of full portion dishes before we even started eating. Conch fritter was good. The tuna was more like a medium-well done although the menu said seared. Onion rings were okay but not worth 10. Fish taco is definitely not worth 8 each.
Less then one star if i could. Waited 15 minutes to not even get seated. Then i witnessed a guy who had a gray hoodie on. Possible manager or something. Yelling at his waitresses then Witnessed a waitress get pissed and throw a plate to the ground behind bar area. So many other choices in the area. So dont cheat yourself. .
I got there early one other customer ordered wings so greasy I couldn't hold on to them 1 piece of carrot 1 piece of celery I had to ask for another drink after my cup sitting on the bar for 5 minutes the girl that waited on me acted like she did not have a clue, I won't be going back there to eat it was not a pleasant experience
after sitting at a table for half an hour without being acknowledged, I decided to go to the bartender and ask for menu, I asked if she can take my order she told no, someone will be there with you shortly, half hour after that I decided to walk out, thank you for no service, if I could give you negative 5 Stars trust me you would have got it
Food is pretty bad, beer prices on the high side for a setting like this. Nice people there but the manager is a douche bag deluxe. Hopefully they will get someone in there that knows how to run a business like this and get it back on track. Nice setting although parking can be a nightmare and they are fast issuing tickets. If they had competition they would fail quickly.Find somewhere else to hang and your time and moneywill be better spent.
They are right off a beautiful beach. Unfortunately, they serve frozen fish. Such a shame. My family and I used to go there for years. Not anymore. We ordered drinks, got the bill, then left after our waitress informed us that the fish is frozen.
WORST PLACE EVER... stay away! We've always been intrigued about this place until we finally we went this weekend.. and oh boy.. what a disappointment.. from start to end.. we asked the waitress for food menus and she only came back to out table about 15 minutes after, took our order and then another 10 minutes went by to ask if we wanted some to drink.. by then a lady on another table was very frustrated and started complaining that she's been waiting for her check for 20 minutes.. finally our food came.. worst wings i ever had.. old chicken floating in bbq sauce.. then the 2 burgers came.. we asked medium well with mushrooms and avocado.. both came extra well done with bacon.. and the waitress goes.. sorry we are out of mushrooms.. then another 15 minutes to get the check.. $60 for 2 burgers 2 beers and wings.. and guess what.. she was charging us for the mushrooms..Obviously management does not care about quality and customer service in this place.. not worth it.
So, yea. This place. It should be a lot better than it is. Location itself should make it better than it is. And, sadly, it's the locals who bring it down. It's for sure a 'dive bar'. LOTS of locals who are already severely intoxicated came in and were served when they should not have been. I had to push one drunk man off of my girlfriend after he bumped in to her and dropped cigarette ash on her food. I'm too old for bar fights but luckily I'm still big and really ugly. Also, while I was there I saw: 1 - a dog walk behind the bar. 2 - a toddler walk behind the bar while everyone laughed and thought it was cute. 3 - an older woman who, based on how deferential the staff was to her, had to be an owner or manager not only pet the dog behind the bar but then serve herself from the ice bin and soda wand w/o washing her hands. We won't be back.
Obviously, you don't go there for the quality of the food nor for the environmental friendliness of the silverware & plates. Plastic plates, plastic silverware, plastic straw and Styrofoam cups that people can "safely take to the beach" and of course dump there, ending up in the sea... Unsafely polluting and killing animals. Staff is nice but so much waste on the beach coast is a pity. Even if they do their best to recycle, they should lead the way towards protecting our beaches and shores.
I have been a regular customer at the grill for over 5 years having a antique business on US 1 for 20 years, and eating at the grill on a regular bases, I have just had the worst experience there since going to eat there, we order our burgers it took over 1and a half hours to be served, other people orders came as late as ours they had their food wrapped and walked out. A bartender friend of us that had been working at the grill a long time, we just found out quit. I could be wrong but maybe the grill has changed ownership and that might be the reasoned for its lack of service and attended ship to the customer.
Just stopped in for a beer after a power walk this Monday evening around 7:30 and the bar tendress was aloof and uncaring. She obviously has been there too long and seen it all and I respect that but she still needs to be nice and listen to new customers. Just turned me off. Not a pleasant person at all and she needs to be re assigned! Just got the B...tch treatment. Who needs that when all I need is a beer in a pleasant atmosphere. Unbelievble! Had a tip sitting on the counter but after her last remark I scooped it up. What do you think this is Honey? You wonder why you never get anywhere?!!! F...this place!
