Jack in the Box Dayton Reviews
Amazing staff, great food, and the restaurant is mostly clean. And there’s a drive thru! I recommend the “sauced and loaded tiny tacos”, they’re delicious!
The food was fresh hot and delicious. Only critique is I expected the new bbq fries to be more like a dry rub not so oily.. but they were still fresh and tasted good. Employees were friendly.
I get off work between 5:30a-7a, so I get the pleasure of being jack in the Box's first customer of the day on the way home! The staff is always polite, and I never feel as though my 7:15am dinner order of tacos, egg rolls, cheeseburger, and soda are rushed. The staff does great work, and I certainly recommend this place as early morning snack location!
The food is ready good, and they are one of the cheapest fast food restaurants out there through the inflation we are dealing with. The service is not bad they do their best but because they are young adults and are starting out to try to be a successful person in society they sometimes forget to give you a receipt but you just have to be courteous and remind them for one. And never the less they have a very clean and tidy atmosphere.
Good food, could use more sauce on some burgers like the bacon one and the double jack, but it's still good just ask for more sauce. Haven't dealt with any rude employees. It's your typical Jack in the box. My only complaint is that sometimes the soda, specifically the sprite, has a slight taste of cleaner. Other than that, I don't mind going here when I'm out in town sometimes.
Got my order completely wrong, order a munchie meal an all I got was my burger not my two tacos and fries. They stuffed my two orders of tacos (4) in the munchie box. My order was all wrong.
They messed up my order and then blamed me. Manager, Mauri, says what I asked for was something else, even though I ask for and get the same thing every time. I asked for a replacement and an extra for my inconvenience. She said basically, I was lucky to get a replacement at all since that’s not what I had asked for. After I asked for her name for a review, she changed her tune real quick and gave me it. 45 minutes in the drive through to deal with it, now the rest of my family’s food is cold. Thanks Mauri.
My family would go to jack in box once a week atleast, before we moved to Dayton. Now it 1 time a month maybe unless out of town to go to another location. This location just CAN'T prep an order the way it's placed. My family orders the same thing everytime. Sourdough burger no tomatoes, they put tomatoes on it, 6 jumbo jacks with cheese no onion, no tomatoes, no pickle- All six come different but never what's ordered. So basically any custom order they just can't get right. The frys are usually cold or forgotten. Then when you point any complaint out the employees usually get shifty about it. I just normally have the expectation that it's going to be wrong and most employees can't read or follow direction and leadership in the building allow it to be that way.
I placed a pickup order through the app and spent about $50. When I arrived at the drive-thru speaker, I gave my name and was told there was no order. I double-checked that I was at the correct location and had my order number ready, which only took a few seconds. I confirmed it was for this location, but the employee continued to say there was no order. At that point, I tried to place the order again at the speaker just to move things along, but I was ignored. When I pulled up to the window and explained that I was the one with the online order who had been ignored, the employee then responded with “we don’t have an order”, slammed the window and walked away . Another employee came to the window and said they had just received the order “20 seconds ago,” even though I had placed it about 40 minutes earlier. I understand technical issues happen, but the communication and attitude were unprofessional. They were taking out their frustration on me. I was then told to pull forward and the window was shut abruptly. After waiting an additional 30 minutes, no one came out with my food or provided any update. Overall, the service was extremely unprofessional, poorly communicated, and frustrating. This experience was unacceptable, especially for a prepaid pickup order. They definitely need some new managers .
The lady was being mean because she messed up our order and didn’t want to give us the right order.
Got food poisoning from you guys have been so sick the last few days so done eating here
I sat in the drive through for over 45 minutes today. My son REALLY wanted jack in the box and since he's sick and not eating much, I'm here waiting or I would have gone somewhere else by now. This 45 minute wait is FOLLOWING almost 30 minutes in the lobby of being completely ignored. Two of the employees were in the back gossiping loudly about someone named Mack, on their phones, while several people were in the lobby waiting on food or waiting to order. At first I thought, maybe they're just overworked and understaffed. The gentleman in front of me very politely asked the two chatty kathies if someone could take his order; finally they came up to the counter and, rolling their eyes, continued their conversation while slamming buttons on the screen to take this man's order. I finally went to the drive through, thinking maybe I would actually be served faster and with some respect- nope! I finally got up to the speaker and whoever was on the other end was very rude; so I backed out and left, told my kiddo what happened when I got home; and transfered some money into his bank account so he could DoorDash whatever he wanted. Of course, he ordered jack in the box, and 2 hours later it showed up. The dasher was wonderful, but she was "waiting for order" for almost an hour. I don't eat a lot of fast food; but I will not be going to this place ever again, and I'll make sure to tell all my friends how awful it is and how rude the employees were. The food showed up cold and limp. Next time I'll make the drive to Carson. It'll take less time and I'm betting they're probably nicer.
I was going to eat here. Went into the washroom and it was so gross I couldn't even think about ordering food. This was at 10 in the morning and there wasn't a clean surface in there.
Brooke Is literally the worst and very impolite and entitled. Please for the sake of the company, correct her actions and rudeness
Just came from the Dayton location Service was bad and got home and opened my order and was short my order, spent $27 got one egg roll and one hamburger. They forgot the rest of the order. Very unprofessional and I will never stop there again. I recommend that everyone check bag before leaving because these people can't get it right. Gives JacknBox a really bad reputation
On this evening I went in to pick up an order, I know I stood there for about 10 minutes awaiting to be acknowledged. There were two young men making burgers and sandwiches, another on the fryer. No one ever said welcome in, someone will be with you. Then a young lady with greenish hair came walking through with money in her hand, ok cool, probably counting down a register or something. Another came through with the headset on. Then an older Hispanic looking woman came walking through from the back as if she had come off break, did not speak, just kept minding the business she was tending to. Finally I spoke up and asked if anyone was going to help me or even acknowledge me. Green haired lady came and said we will get that order out as soon as possible. Once the order was complete she just sat it on the counter, no thank you, apologies for the wait. What made it even worse is that fine, maybe you think because I am a food delivery driver (my side hustle) I don’t matter, but two other young men came in behind me and no one acknowledged them either. It is unfortunate that customer service is in such decline and that customers disturb you, but this kind of rudeness cannot be tolerated. All it takes is we will be with you shortly, something.
No food, no atmosphere, no service. Pulled up to the drive thru. Noticed there were 2 cars parked in front and no one on the drive thru line. Waited waited waited finally after a while a female voice came on the speaker and she said "give me a minute" - that was it........never heard from anyone after that. After a while I decided to go somewhere else. Crummy visit.
Definitely not a positive visit. First the sign says drive through closed at 10. Got there at 9:30pm and wasn't sure if it was open since all the lights are off but cars kept pulling up. All I asked was if they were open and this old guy who looked irritated just screamed were closed and tried to act tough like he wanted to fight. They need to work on the staffing and service here. Not much options open late in Dayton but everyone that left went to taco bell!
