I've been coming to this Panera Bread for years, and I have not had any major issues. When its busy, it gets crowded and not a lot of seating, especially if a single person is taking up a whole booth where that could be used for 2 or more people. Personally, there should be more booths or more comfortable seating where they can sit more people, but have that comfort aspect of sitting in a booth. Overall, food is great as always, drinks are great too, but when busy.. see if you can bear it, order in instead, or go to a different panera bread location.
I’ve always enjoyed Panera, but lately, I’ve been using their delivery service, and it’s been a fantastic experience! The delivery is quick, reasonably priced, and much easier than dealing with pickup, which can sometimes feel a bit convoluted—especially with the pickup location inside changing. The food is consistently delicious, and I can’t get enough of the new baked potato soup—it’s amazing! Overall, Panera’s delivery service has made enjoying their food even more convenient and enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Had an a problem with my order and Eric the manager made sure to make it right. Came back the next day and offered me 2 free bagels and coffee. He handled this situation in a perfect way.
The coffee is good and food is good. Panera has better coffee than Starbucks has better food. Service is good and plenty of seating

I am writing to share my recent experience at your East Meadow location (2501 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, NY 11554). Today, I ordered the Smokehouse BBQ Chicken sandwich. Unfortunately, the chicken was served cold and the bread was soggy. I have previously enjoyed this sandwich at your Rockville Centre location (313 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, NY 11570), so I was quite disappointed with the quality of my recent order. I hope this feedback is helpful and that steps can be taken to improve the consistency of this menu item.
First off let's start by the way I was greeted and treated I walk in there I order one thing the girl seemed nice but when she brought my order to me she clearly sees my hand out but insist on shoving it to me on the counter rather than actually put my order in my hand! Actions DO speak louder than words. The menu and the atmosphere especially the food remediocre at best I will definitely never be back in this location again
Staff has changed so much, not what used to be. I ordered a chai latte and got some kind of coffee, when I went back to tell them they made the wrong order, they gave me. A Look like I was wrong; they thought I chai latte was a coffee with milk. Finally they made me the chai latte but it was bad, it tastes like rotten wood. This place is going down. Not coming back.
Place looks decent. I ordered through a kiosk but couldn’t find the option for something I wanted on a drink. I used a cashier to place my order and was this person rude and horrible attitude( the transgender cashier yes you) sad because I approached this person with a good attitude and they had no smile no people person personality. Very dissatisfied. Bagels were cold and hard, the only good thing was the coffee. Definitely not coming back to this panera ever again, you’d think with the prices they charge, they would invest in training their staff more accordingly. although good service should be had at any price point.
I have been ordering from this location for some time now, and my wife and I typically stop in at least twice a week, but going forward will go to the Hicksville location instead. We both ordered a soup and salad combo. Hers was fine and my soup was great, but the half-Greek salad was really a half a third salad (see photos). It was not what I receive when I've ordered online over the last 6 months. I then got in my car, drove to the location, explained the situation and showed the manager Oscar the salad. He looked at me and told me that the way I was receiving it prior was incorrect, that the workers were measuring with their hands, not the scale, and what I what I received was the correct amount. He said he was sorry I wasn't happy and that if I like he can add some "romaine" to it. Highly subpar. Romaine? Really? I was hoping to get a new portion altogether but instead what I got was a manager putting the blame on his workers. Perhaps two stars is a bit harsh considering we've always had good service at this location. So this review is entirely based on the manager's unsympathetic response to a steady customer who frequents this establishment as often as we do. Will avoid this location entirely.
I placed an order for two pick 2 for dinner and my husband went to pick it up they did not have the cookies I ordered and they replaced it no problem but when he came home one of the meals were missing I called the store and they said that the doubled checked the order and it’s there and if I have an issue to contact customer service It was sad how they handled the situation I always went there at least once a weak I don’t know how I feel about the east meadow Panera bread I wanted to mention that they also tried to give the customer service number missing the last four numbers!! This Panera location is the worst for customer service. The staff have no personality. No one smiles. NO ONE. Doesn’t even ask “How can I help you?” Whoever is at the counter will just look at you waiting for you say something. I go here because this is the one closest to me. I’ve overlooked the customer service and abad atmosphere here because of proximity. But today is the last time I’m ordering here. Everyone that works in this location needs to be retrained.
This was one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I’ve had at a Panera Bread location. I made a simple, polite request for a cup for coffee and was met with clear attitude and disrespect from an employee (Amy). There was no provocation or reason for the tone I received. I asked to speak with the manager, expecting the issue to be addressed immediately. Instead, the manager responded, “I’ll speak to her after her shift,” which effectively dismissed my concern and showed a lack of leadership, accountability, and customer care. Customer service issues should be addressed in real time, not brushed off. This interaction reflects poorly not only on the employee, but on management’s standards and training. Panera positions itself as a customer-focused brand, yet this location failed to meet even the most basic expectations of professionalism and respect. I strongly encourage corporate leadership to review the management practices at this location.
The 1 star is only due to the horrendous parking lot they have. Potholes EVERYWHERE. It's been months and no fix. It's a shame, u gotta decide whether u get some food or pop a tire. Please fix the parking lot this is outrageous.
The soup was ok on 11/7/25 visit but the sandwiches was all bread not the first time ,u charge so much u should at least add what suppose to be in a sandwich
Extremely poorly managed restaurant. They seem to ALWAYS be backed up with the mobile orders, and even after you can see on the screen that your order is ready for pickup, they just leave the order back there in the kitchen knowing that you’re waiting for the order. No sense of urgency or care whatsoever. Not to mention it’s impossible to get an employee’s attention because they’re all always hiding behind the kitchen, avoiding serving anyone who’s standing at the counter. It’s like trying to hail a cab in midtown Manhattan, and failing. Either this restaurant is woefully understaffed, the employees are poorly trained, or both. It’s evident that the manager is terrible at their job and should be replaced immediately.
I ordered barc cheddar soup they gave me squash soup I ordered it online and found wrong item when I reached back in left msg online no body contacted me back wish I can give them 0 srar
Waited over an hour for a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup. The employees were rude and let my boyfriend’s food get cold and served him the wrong sandwich. This service was terrible the food was terrible the prices were terrible this experience was terrible.
I had a horrible experience with the staff and Manager Karl at this store.Inspite of being their loyal customer for years,they treated me with utmost unprofessionalism and extremely rude behaviour.They messed up(gave me a completely different sandwich)my online rapid pick up order and when I called in to enquire,this guy Karl said he couldn't even find my order and wasn't even willing to listen to my concerns.No apologies whatsoever,only this pathetic entitled behaviour with undertones of racist attitude! Really deplorable behaviour for a guy who works for this establishment and is too lazy to admit mistakes to their customers.Never coming back here.There are plenty of restaurants around that respect and treat their loyal customers kindly in this country!This Panera store is not one of them!!!
Helpful and patient staff. Good service. Clean location with a lot of seating and parking. Great for a quick lunch or a small business meeting. **UPDATE - From 5 stars to 1. I Hate this location now. Staff couldn't care any less about the patrons. It's a complete mess with trash everywhere. The "kitchen" looks at you sideways when asking for water or butter... not one person at front to take order - is all computerized. The staff is too busy giggling with each other rather than working. My food was cold (I got a sandwich), but the soup was nuked too hot. Huge fall from grace. If anyone wants to combat me on these remarks and updated review... take a gander at the video I posted along with this. Thumbs down. Let me know when you clean house and clean house. ***Also - I DID let someone know about the mess and that there weren't any clean tables, I was told that the "dining room" people weren't in and they'd clean a table for me... spoiler alert... they didn't.
Panera Bread pricing has gotten out of control. $21 for a half a sandwich a bowl of soup and a fountain drink. All the Paneras are so beat up and dated. The East Meadow location is falling a part. They better step up there game before it is to late. The North Babylon / Deer Park location went out of business recently. FYI all the comments about waiting on line with one cashier is true. They have one person at lunch. You spend your hole lunch break on line.
I did my order kios and picked everything. They had my notes and everything but looks like they prepare orders the way they want it. I wasted my time and my money.
