Definitely one of the best chicken quesadilla I ever had. Was just walking around and found this place. The quesadilla was extremely juicy with a bunch of sauces, and had a nice kick to it. Never had pickles in a quesadilla, so liked that touch of it. The chicken was also tender and plenty. It came with two sauces but I did not get to try them. The quesadillas are huge so that’s sufficient for a meal. There’s a nice public place to sit close to the truck, so there’s some place to sit and eat.

Awesome tacos, the corn tortillas and carne asada was amazing. My wife loved her el pastor taco and actually went back for another one. The guys running the truck were very kind and accommodating. Highly recommend.

I stopped on a whim walking home from work tonight and got the veggie quesadilla with chips and pico de gallo. It was DELICIOUS!! Huge portions with fresh veggies. Spice level was just right. Also the staff was super friendly! Great spot, cant wait to try more from their menu.

Wow. I just got 3 carnitas tacos from the El Grillito truck at a street fair for $12. Generous, lean portions of tasty carnitas, quality toppings and sauces. I was prepared for, and probably would have been satisfied by, a lot less. But I was really impressed. I'll keep an eye out for this truck now so I can try some of their other dishes.

So good I inhaled these tacos before I could take a pic! As a taco connoisseur from Los Angeles, I’ll admit these are some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Their handmade tortillas were off the chain. Had the birria and carnitas tacos. Wish they were open the weekend so I could have a round 2!

Do you want to have a good meal, made with the love and passion of being Mexican and sharing ones food? Then I highly recommend that you eat from this Mexican taco truck, the hard work that these people go into preparing their meals should not go unnoticed. The Pollo taco, which is unorthodox from the same Grilled chicken taco that you see everywhere is FILLED with so much flavor (believe or not, LOVE), and the Elote is like anything you ever tasted in your life. I was promised an amazing Horchata by the owner, and when he finally had it in his truck...... Dude........ There are no words.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Give these hard working people a try, you will fall in love with this food truck.

Ok - when I say best NYC Mexican food of my life I really mean it! I don’t even know where to begin, I got the quesadilla flan & churros and wow! The meat is amazing, flavors are great and their salsa verde is also really really good! I wish I had photos but I ended up eating it too fast

Yesterday was my first time trying the food at this truck, I must say WOW! Exceeded all my expectations. I grew up in Mexico and let me tell you the tamales took me back to my childhood in Guanajuato. The taste, smell and consistency made each bite a true delight. You can tell the food is made with love. I’ll be going back every time I get a chance if I’m in the area.

Wow. This food truck was the talk of the evening at an event. Clean and shiny this Foodtruck delivered on the tasty delights coming off the truck. Shrimp tacos with homemade corn tortillas More more more!! The birria quesadilla was hit, gooey not messy… delicious. Chicken tinga marinated in spices authentic to their family recipes And sopes carnita. Homemade, slow stewed meat, beautiful and filling. I’m going to follow where they go cuz I want more.

Order placed on September 28 at 5:00pm. The truck was located around 40th and Madison for a food festival in the area. Ordered Torta de Al Pastor. For the price of $14 including tax is average among the nyc area. The portion is less than expected for the price but that is a personal preference. The sandwich is well balanced. The additional hot sauces are helpful to add a kick of flavor for those who love spice like myself. The cashier that day was young white female she was welcoming. The small staff was very efficient to execute the order within less than 5 minutes. So much appreciated of the team for overall quality.

long after human civilization ends and the robots, zombies, etc take over— i hope that simple tacos’ influence on modern society is recorded in the annals of history for extraterrestrials to understand a pinnacle of human achievement. anyway, the tacos at the El Grillito truck are quite good. there’s nothing quite like enjoying made-to-order tacos after a ferocious workout. got three tacos: a carne asada, a carnitas, and a chorizo. none of them disappointed. flavor and spices in every bite of the double tortilla-ed tacos. if you’re hungry and in Cooper Square on Wednesday to Sunday then you can’t go wrong with these casual food truck tacos. they also make a bunch of other things like burritos, tortas, quesadillas, and more. the owner is friendly and the truck takes cash as well as card. currently, there are a lot of things that are disappointing in NYC... thankfully this is not one.

The best carne asada burrito of any food truck I have had. The orange or reddish sauce I have clue what it is but it is spectacular. The dude at the register is always really cool too. They have the pure sugar cane coca cola in the bottle which is a favorite of mine when really cold. I highly recommend this truck. I haven't had anything I dislike from there every

Very disappointing. I pass this truck every day, as it's parked a block from my house. I finally found occasion to pick up some food. I ordered a burrito, which was terrible, and a $14 cheese quesadilla. It wasnt bad but certainly not worth that price tag. Even the salsas were terrible and unlike any flavor profile I've had before--and I eat a lot of Mexican. Avoid.

Do yourself a favor and do not eat here. I got a birria burrito which with a soaking wet tortilla that primarily consisted of gooey rice and stale meat. The churros lacked sugar and the horchata was honestly the best thing I got, yet nothing to write home about.
