Stopped for the night in Etna, CA on our recent road trip. What a wonderful surprise. The staff was very friendly and the food was excellent. The place was packed, and now we know the reason why. Would definitely come back when in the area. The tri tip was cooked perfectly and the strawberry/rhubarb pie was a great way to finish the night. Fantastic bar as well.

Denny Bar is a Hidden Treasure... spectacular food, great drinks and friendly outgoing people...Took a trip to Etna for a music festival and quickly realized that the Denny Bar is the kind of food and drink experience you only see on TV...by that I mean world class...worth the trip to Etna just for the food and drinks they have available...first class five stars all the way....make this place a box to check on your bucket list....simply amayzing

Dinner at Denny Bar was extraordinary. The chicken sandwich - soup combo tingled my taste buds with every bite. Their friendly staff and quiet atmosphere made my visit even more pleasant. 5 stars.

Excellent food and service. Drinks also were tasty and reasonable. The setting was perfect with the backdrop of the distillery. The tour of the distillery was an added treat. Karen, our tour guide, was pleasant, informative and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous gorgeous place atmosphere food and the servers such warm and friendly place to dine and the specialties such as their own whisky selections they make on the premises..we have quit a few !! Call ahead is a must for a table !! They even greet you at your table with a little note ! We grew up in siskiyou county so anything this special here is sooo Devine !! If you need to entertain out of towners or spend your special occasions some where…what a impressive place to go to… thank you Denny bar for making such a beautiful place for us all to enjoy and spend time !!!

This place is a Gem! Tucked away in the quaint town of Etna California, people take the drive from out of town to experience this restaurant and I can see why! The staff had great energy on the phone and in person. The Denny bar has their own distillery, tasting room, inside and outside seating. I recommend making a reservation to promptly get in if you don’t want to wait. Like I said people are driving here because they know this place is amazing! When they seated us they had a personalized card welcoming us. They had a great selection for drink flights. The only problem was trying to narrow down which flavors I wanted to try so we got two flights! I would say choosing what to eat was just as hard. The waitress kept checking in with us to see if we needed anything and how everything tasted. If you get a chance this is definitely a must to check out.

Amazing food and atmosphere! We enjoyed all the items on the menu the many times our motorcycle touring group stays in Etna. The chef has created many great selections from the kitchen and the pizza chef, Kay, has mastered incredible pizzas from their wood fired oven. If that wasn't enough, the bar and on-site distillery makes amazing spirits and cocktails. Liz is a great bartender and the wait staff are all great too! I HIGHLY recommend Denny Bar Co. when passing through or staying in Scott Valley. It's worth the drive!

My life will never be the same anymore. What an amazing place! We started off with the Burrata - which is an experience in and of itself. But then *drum roll* we had the Wild West Burger. A mix of elk/bison/wagyu and wild boar meat and let me tell you…. I wasn’t ready: the heavens broke open, angels literally descended down upon me and my mouth had an other worldly celebration. The Chrysalis mocktail was some sort of glorious sorcery and it tasted so good. By far the best food ever. The staff was absolutely amazing - we talked about the area, they were excellent with recommendations and overall such a pleasure. 12/10 recommend and will be back. Thank you Denny Bar Co!

Update 3/24/25 Food is still fantastic! Service with 2 older women wasn't the best, the one didn't write down anything we ordered, party of 6 and she had 2 come back twice because she couldn't remember our orders? If she wrote everything down in the first place instead of trying g to go off memory, things would have been smoother. She also messed up our seeprate checks and had to come to us twice to fix it. Another older waitress was rude when I asked for 2 ranch for my pizza, she stated "there's one right there" and pointed to my friends 2 ranches that he had ordered for himself. I stated " those are his, please get me 2 of my own" snd she huffed and puffed away and was rude after she brought the ranch. I get it, we all have things to deal with but it was a simple request. So the service this time wasn't spot on like I stated in my other review. But the food is still gooood! Mediterranean pizza was acidic due to the olives and pepperoncinis, but other than that it was good! Fish and chips were bussin! Highly recommend! Firecracker Shrimp appetizer was very good, should make shrimp tacos with that shrimp! Super good! Ribeye was fantastic! Pricey but worth it! And the burger with 4 different meats is always great! Definitely coming back! Food- the food here was excellent, kind of pricey but it's understandable being a small, very small town! The western burger in the Brie and jalapeno burger or extremely good and highly recommend! Pretzel bun, with a side salad hid different! Also got the artichoke dip with the flatbread, for an appetizer this is extremely good and highly recommend getting this and I will definitely get this the next time I'm there. Service- are waitress was very nice, helpful, attentive and had a smile on her face the entire time! I don't know her name but she was younger with glasses and very nice! It was lunch time, wasn't busy but there were people there and she made sure to check up on us roughly every 5 to 10 minutes Atmosphere- first time being here I didn't know it was a distillery, the place inside is very beautiful, the atmosphere was chill, no loud music and everyone else eating there was not loud at all! The bar and Distillery layout with the restaurant was well put together. They have souvenirs or gifts you can buy right at the front counter I live about two and a half hours from here, definitely will go there again! The place overall was enjoyable, the staff was wonderful, the food was great, not me but my friend got a old-fashioned and he said it was great as well!

Had a tour of the distillery and tasting of their spirits with Sara, who was so informative and friendly. After the tour, we had lunch and the food was delicious, especially the bacon dill pickle pizza! Restaurant was beautifully decorated and everything seemed clean. Side note, we called to make a reservation for the tour and had some difficulty there but after 2 calls was able to get that accomplished.

Went there for lunch on a Friday afternoon right when they opened. Burger was phenomenal ( it was the one with the candied bacon jam). Drunken pot stickers were also excellent. I didn't take a picture but the lavender lemonade was really refreshing. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Good ambiance and I bet on a weekend night it's pretty lively.

My wife enjoyed the ribeye dinner! I would highly recommend this restaurant if your near the Etna area. We drove an hour from our hotel because of the highly recommendation from our friend.

Amazing Spot – Highly Recommend! Don’t even know where to start! The atmosphere is great, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. They have a nice variety of food and drink options, and their homemade lemonade is some of the best I’ve ever had. Definitely worth a visit!

The cocktails were amazing. Very inventive and also just delicious. The elote app we got was also just ridiculously good. Great ambiance. Burger was pretty good. We were psyched when the waitress asked us how we liked our burger cooked. We said med rare and it came out more like well. Which is fine, it was still pretty good, just got our hopes up. Pizza was also pretty good. Our server was super attentive and checked in with us often. I did specifically ask for our dinner to not be brought out with our app since we were trying to celebrate and have a date night- but the food still came out within a few minutes of our app. Not night ruining, just annoying. Overall, solid 4 star experience. A gem to have in such a cute small town. Would visit again.

As an added bonus, Denny Bar is an active distillery and most of the mixed drinks on the menu use alcohol produced on-site. If you're visiting Siskiyou County, Denny Bar should be on your list of things to visit.

This place would benefit from some acoustic panels on the wall, the echo inside is insane. The chairs need some plastic sliders on the bottoms for those people that don't lift the chair and instead slide then across the floor, it's like nails on a chalkboard. Burger was so-so, tap beer was semi warm.

If the service had been better than half a$$ it would have been a lot better. Out first waitress sucked, but I guess her shift ended so she never came back. We were waiting for our soup for over 20 minutes and probably wouldn't have received it if we hadn't notified the hostess that we need assistance. Once the other waitress Jessica greeted us and brought our soup and pizza it was a good meal. We got the soup of rhe day which was potatoe, leek, and chicken. Very little chicken and not super flavorful. Also got two pizzas. Which were alright. Kind of soggy. The drinks were good however. The watermelon vodka is amazing. I will probably ho back in hopes of a better experience.
