Hole in the Wall Eureka Reviews
Pile High Deli absolutely lives up to its name — the sandwiches are stacked and seriously satisfying. The bread tastes fresh, portions are generous, and the ingredients don’t feel skimpy. Staff are quick and friendly, which makes lunch rush a lot smoother. It can get pretty busy around midday, so expect a short wait. Overall, a solid go-to spot when you want a hearty sandwich that’s worth the price.
Best deli in Eureka and our favorite place to eat when we go there. Huge sandwiches with fresh ingredients and friendly service.
The muffuletta isnt a traditional muffuletta but it is delicious. I was excited when I saw it on the menu this far away from the gulf coast. The food was delicious though.
I seriously love some of the staff here. Mikayla and Jay are always so pleasant. This is always a lunch treat for myself and the sandwiches never change in consistency, SO good! $ Worth it for me because I can only eat half the sandwich at a time and the other half I’ll eat later for dinner.
Might be the largest sandwich I've ever had and was delicious. No seating inside but we went to the nearby boardwalk.
I just moved here from New York, and this place reminds me of some of the better Delis in Brooklyn, Manhattan and the Bronx. Everything's fresh and the portions are big. Well done!!
Very good subs that remind me of the quality Togos used to have with even better options. Excellent execution and very filling sandwiches you wont be disappointed.
Was recommended this place by a coworker. The hot pastrami on sourdough was the best I've ever had. Super polite staff and the prices were more than reasonable.
Great sandwich place. They are large in size and very loaded. Super tasty, definitely worth the cost. We liked there were plenty choices for pop/energy drinks along with assortment of chips and ice creams. The guys working there seemed new but that did not affect our experience and service was very good. Visited on Sep 26 - 3pm.
We were driving through on our way to Oregon summer of 2025, stopped for a sandwich. It was the most epic sandwich ever! I wish it was in our hometown. We are vegan and had an amazing custom sandwich that was true to its name, piled high with sprouts and avocado and they didnt skimp on Avocado like other places giving you a quarter or a half avocado we got the full avocado plus. The bread was fresh and delicious, had sprouts, and pesto. It was an epic sandwich and I love sandwiches. After we got our food and were in the car eating them we turned around and went back in and ordered another round of sandwiches for the road. When we go back to Eureka, this is going to be a destination we wont miss.
My husband was going fishing on a charter boat the next morning. We bought the sandwich and sides the night before. He said the sandwich was delicious even after waiting overnight to enjoy it. Will go there again on our next trip!
I drove past the Pile High Deli and knew right away that's where I was going to eat! All I had to do was drop off this Diddlyfiddler to Hank Cherchiff and his little stab, Sherry. Sherry, sure will like using that Diddlyfiddler, once she gets the reverberation set just the way she likes. Good old Hank will be able to do what ever he wants from now on, he's a lucky man. The Pile High Deli sure is a great place, my roast beef sandwich was Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
The best sandwiches in the Northwest! The sourdough rolls are to die for, and when piled with veggies, avocado, cheese, etc they make a sandwich that makes others pale in comparison. Big enough to share unless you are very hungry, they are also a bargain. :) Definitely a must try if you like sandwiches.
I have been going there for years for the best salami sandwich!!! Until last week. They changed salami and it was horrible. I couldn’t finish the sandwich. So bummed as I don’t know of anywhere else the rolls are sooo good. 10/2025. The owner reached out to me. They had run out of their regular salami and used another brand. They had several complaints. The owner gave me a free sandwich and it was DELICIOUS. I am so happy my favorite sandwich shop is back in my #1 favorites again.
I love this place, but today went to get my turkey and avocado on brio roll and the brio roll was stale. So disappointing! I think they should ask if a day or two old stale roll is okay before providing it. Yuck!
I’m sure it’s tasty but they took the tofu off the menu so we didn’t end up eating here. Just making this review to update the other vegans and vegetarians. I wish they would add it back !
Excellent sandwiches. Pricey but enough to split or have 2 meals in 1. Would prefer they slow down and provide more friendly customer service, rather than rushing orders to get us out the door. The tone and mood was off putting and uncomfortable.
It’s been about a year since my partner and I stepped inside of pile high deli. I remember the prices being steep but the sandwiches were good quality so that didn’t bother me. We decided to go back today but little did we know that was a grave mistake. We didn’t know what we wanted before stepping inside so as we walk up and stutter, our sandwich artist was immediately turned off. He wasn’t overtly rude but he didn’t make our visit pleasant. My partner and I are often indecisive but try to be more hasty when it’s busy. There was no one but us inside. I understand employees having a bad day but this guy was giving us a rude tone the whole time and made us feel unwelcome . We ended up getting two sandwiches. The bread was undercooked and gummy. Not necessarily their fault but made our sandwiches almost inedible. For almost 50 dollars the bad service and overlooked quality of ingredients is unacceptable. Looks like we will be going to hole in the wall or literally any other deli with fresh bread and better customer service for sandwiches next time.
