Tandoori Bites Eureka Reviews
Consistently delicious and well priced food. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly. One of our favorite places to eat in Humboldt.
The waiter was so cute and very attentive. We ordered a bunch of vegan or veganized stuff and everything was great! Will definitely come here again next time I'm in Eureka. Oh, there was a hobo out front when I went in, asking for change, I didn't have any but I did give him an orange, I'd planned to give him some of my leftovers, but he was gone when I came out.
Very good food and great service. I had unwisely asked for a korma with hot spice, but ended up finding it too spicy. When I asked for the korma to be redone, the staff were super kind and re-did the korma in medium spice, free of charge. Highly recommend Tandoori Bites if you want great Indian food with high quality service in a great atmosphere.
Wonderful Dining Experience! We had a truly enjoyable meal that went above and beyond our expectations. The kitchen did a fantastic job customizing the spice levels—our child’s dish was mild yet flavorful, while ours had the perfect kick without being overwhelming. It’s clear that a lot of care went into making sure every plate suited our preferences. The Roti and Naan were soft, warm, and delicious—just the way they should be. The Paneer Butter Masala and Vegetable Kadai were rich, aromatic, and full of vibrant flavors. The Dal Tadka was especially comforting, with a depth of taste that made it stand out. The service was equally impressive. The staff were kind, humble, and attentive throughout our visit, making us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for. All in all, a fantastic experience with flavorful food and heartfelt hospitality. We’ll definitely be coming back!
The food came out really quick, the assorted appetizer is an amazing deal and you get to try 4 things. The lamb curry was so spicy and delicious with the rice and onion kulcha (like naan) 🫓. Ended the meal with a chai ☕️ and gulab jamun which means purple rose 🌹 and yes sometimes they use rose water in this dessert here.
EDIT: I was excited to bring a family friend here who is of retirement age and has yet to discover Indian food! I'm familiar with Tandoori and was feeling like they may have a table or two finishing up at that hour. A quick order of veggie samosa with mint chutney, and a snapshot together would have been an amazing way to see her off. It was 20 minutes until closing, I even conveyed the above sentiment to the gents, but we were unfortunately turned away. She and I have worked largely in the restaurant & bar service industries ourselves, so we do understand all and all, but it was a bummer. You're still the best, but next time take our money. We'll clean up after ourselves and turn that open sign off after locking the door. I'm sure you guys had a really long day. Next time. I'm pleasantly surprised with the many updates in atmosphere and aesthetics after having moved away for some time! It could be under new ownership -new servers were lovely. New colors, soft music, more art. I saw that they had put effort into even little things I adore, such as the little chutney spoons. The dishes themselves the actual physical dishes are beautiful. It just looked clean and simple but nice. Our waiter was very gentlemanly and our food came out incredibly fast. He eats meat while I order vegan dishes to share, all fantastic. I will most definitely ask for my food to be more spicy next time. To remedy that we doubled down on the mint chutney, perfect. Vegetarian samosas, veggie China Masala and the potato and cauliflower. There's no sign up and it's not stated on their menu but on Fridays or Saturdays they're open till 1:00 a.m. for a limited menu so that's awesome to know, will be taking advantage of that.
Got the Chicken mughlai soup, and Garlic Nan. So good, smells delicious and taste so good! The soup doesn’t have any strong ginger taste, you mostly get the tandoori chicken. And the garlic Nan comes with two big pieces! Very yummy on its own, subtle garlic, and great for dipping in soup!
The service was good, the waiter didn't have a high volume so it was a little hard to understand but super polite. The food was good for a first time, though not quite what I was expecting it was still really good. Over all four stars
I have only ordered out a couple of times from this restaurant. And to be honest I am not a huge fan of Indian food. However each time that we did order, the food has been very delicious!! I have not had the pleasure of trying their buffet yet but it's on our agenda. Try them you won't be disappointed. Except for the parking. It's kind of limited and they do get quite busy.
We got in late and we're glad to find something good still open. A cool find if you love Indian food! Service was good, and my partner and I really enjoyed our meal. One star off cause we got the paneer Tikka masala and it was kind of lackluster. I've had good, rich, flavorful Tikka masala, and that wasn't it. Sauce was too runny and not very flavorful. The paneer was also bland. Was disappointed with the Tikka masala, however, everything else was really good. We both especially loved the Korma with the shrimp. That sauce was so good. Loved the green chutney a lot also. Was happy to find the place
The good news first; this is the only place in Eureka where you can get a hot meal super late at night. More good news: the fresh naan is great!! The not-so-good news: the menu is very limited after 9:30PM, the food is served in takeout containers and the cooking is uninspired. I’ve had far better meals served in some of the poorest regions of the Asian subcontinent; so, my guess is the cooks are unhappy at having to work such long shifts? 🤷🏼♀️
Visited this during our visit to Eureka. Nice vintage vibes to the restaurant in dim lighting. We liked it. Also definitely check out the murals around the restaurant. Coming to the food. Firstly, they took forever(more than an hour) to get the food. We ordered dal makhani, paneer butter masala, bindi masala, kadai chicken and assorted nan. It came with two small bowls of rice as complimentary. Dal makhani and paneer butter masala were okay. Bindi Masala had bindi undercooked. Kadai chicken was a no no. Naans were excellent. Rice was good too. Note that Curry and dal quantity is less. Overall we had tummy full Indian food. If you’re in the area and craving for Indian food, go for it.
While on vacation, we found this restaurant open late at night. We arrived around 9:15 PM, but were told to wait until 10 PM for the night menu to start. The wait was long, with no proper management or guidance for customers. When our food finally arrived, it was served in to-go boxes, and the quantity felt like leftovers. The quality was disappointing, with chicken tikka served as shredded chicken. I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you must go, arrive before 8:30 PM to enjoy proper dine-in service.
Who knew actual Indian cooks could make such bad Indian food? The worst I had. The meat portions were so tiny. The meat itself is almost non-existent. The taste? Bland. The texture? Watery And why does the food come in foam container if i’m dining in? Zero thought both the environment and the presentation.
After 9:30 service is awful. Extremely unapologetic staff. We were tired from a long trip so we just put up with crappy no service. No welcome nothing. Treated like to go menu. Served in plastic to go containers. Very small quantities. Bad food. Bad service. Made a mistake on my order and did not offer an apology or did anything to compensate for mess up. Avoid this place.
I had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant. The food was absolutely disappointing—bland, poorly cooked, and nowhere near authentic. For the price they charge, I expected at least decent quality, but what I got was completely unacceptable. I’ve attached a picture of the food they served me during dine-in, and it speaks for itself. The presentation was sloppy, the portion was ridiculous, and the taste was even worse. On top of that, the service was slow and indifferent, making the whole experience even more frustrating. I strongly do not recommend this place. Save your time and money—there are plenty of better Indian restaurants out there. Avoid this place unless you want to waste your money on subpar food!
