Awesome place... People there are very helpful and if you're food for some reason is not cooked to perfection they will do it again for you to make you happy customer and services number one with them I highly recommend this place if you're going by it or you're a local and you want breakfast or sweets they have everything going on atmosphere in the places also great....

This unsuspecting 50's retro dinner is probably the best restaurant I have been to in a long time! The food was excellent with pancakes, the size of a plate and bacon then just perfectly. It was well worth it. We had a great waitress and the prices at this place are really hard to beat. If you get a chance when you're coming through Fishkill New York stop by and give them a try. I think you're going to really like them!

Wow!! We accidentally stumbled across this gem of a diner. Don't let their name fool you thou. Their menu is very extensive, super reasonable for the quality of food and desserts served up by attentive servers (ask for Ashley she's the sweetest and so efficient) We thoroughly enjoyed the open face roast beef plate with very generous amounts of roast beef and mashed potatoes and homemade gravy, homemade cup of cream of turkey soup which was served in a bowl sized portion and the most delicious lamb burgers (2 fresh made) juicy lamb burgers with Greek salad. WOW we got much more than we bargained for. Cutest diner in tip top shape and clean as can be. Say hi to the owners George and (Pete?). Nicest people, been there 48 years. Just off I 84. Go and enjoy!!

This was probably one of the most quality restaurants I have been to in a long time. We were thoroughly impressed! The food was delish and the portion sizes were ginormous! There was no way we could have finished all that food in one setting. So, we had to take to go containers. Our waitress was beautifully stunning she looked like somebody I've seen on TV. For some reason this restaurant give me the feeling that "Stars" have eaten here. The music was amazing it kind of took you back in time listening to the hits from the 70s. It had a nostalgic atmosphere. It was huge on the inside. Although it's a diner it gaves the atmosphere that it was an eloquent restaurant. The servers were all dressed in black which gives it more of an upscale type restaurant. We felt welcomed 😊 it was pretty nice how everyone smiled and said hello. A customer even smiled and waved at us. This place was so lovely, we have a late lunch. My husband was talking about having dinner there the next day. Since we were at the Quality Inn behind the restaurant. Everything was big... The food, the pastries, the slices of cake and pies. You get what you pay for. The prices were very reasonable too. I'm smiling the whole time I write this review because I loved my experience at the I84 Diner 🥰

Food is tasty, Service was good, but nobody ever seems happy and / or has a personality. The place is very pretty and unique and clean which is important. The place has personality as you see the NYC murals and such. It would be 100% if staff went along with the theme of the diner for a full dining experience. But would definitely go again!

Stopped by this diner recently with a group of friends, and we were all really impressed. The outdoor seating had a relaxed, breezy vibe—perfect for a summer brunch. I ordered the French toast with strawberries and whipped cream, and it was easily one of the best I’ve had. Thick, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. Service was quick and attentive even though we were a larger group. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals—from omelets to breakfast sandwiches, everything looked fresh and well-prepared. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for a solid classic breakfast with great atmosphere.

My husband has never been to a true diner and has always wanted to eat at one. The I-84 Diner in Fishkill NY is amazing. Our waitress, Delilah was so much fun. We had the chicken & waffles (20 oz of chicken!!!!), grilled chicken and Greek salad with chicken noodle soup , and fries. The entire staff was polite and friendly. We even got some apple turnovers to go. Each turnover is about 10-12 inches long!! The case with the pastries and cakes looked amazing. If you are in the area stop by. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommended!!

Traveling through and stopped in to the i-84 diner. The food was fantastic. Generous portions and reasonable prices. I tried the gyro platter with a Mythos beer and a gimlet. The menu is huge and has a great selection of different foods, something for everyone.

With a 4.5 rating, this diner was the perfect lunch stop on our road trip. This bustling diner seated people quickly and handled a large volume of customers quickly. Our waitress made great recommendations and helped us make choices from a few options from this very large menu. All the dishes at neighboring tables were filled with a ton of food and many people were taking leftovers home. We ordered the Corned Beef Benedict and the Americana Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. The corned beef was very tasty with the eggs and the side of potatoes was large. The large burger was excellent with a fried egg, cheese, and 2 slices of bacon. Alas, the fries weren't hot, but the rest of the food was good. The baked goods enticed my husband and he loved the Black Forest Cake, which was incredibly flavorful and moist. All in all, I'd recommend this popular diner. 4.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I hadn't been here in years and while I was early for an appointment decided to stop in on a Sunday afternoon. I was seated quickly and my pleasant and polite server came over immediately to get me started. I ordered the turkey club with fries. Man, that's a huge sandwich! And a bucket of fries to go with it. I loved the fact that the cold condiments were not crammed onto the plate with hot food. Everything about the order was exceptional. Now to the atmosphere. The whole time I was there I heard loud yelling coming from the kitchen and it was incredibly annoying. Even if it were in English it would still be annoying. For a good part of the time there was a group of three servers who were complaining about this and that, mostly about work with one person in particular being very loud about it. The other two seemed to not really be interested in joining in. The only other downer was the sign posted outside of the men's room (why not the lady's?) declaring the bathroom private property and demanding that it not be vandalized. All in all a pleasant experience, the noted negatives notwithstanding...

I used to come here often but have not been back in at least 10 years. The service is stressed, not enough people working the floor on a busy Saturday 1130 08/30/2025. Our server Destiny, was being rushed about - catering to the entire floor, and attending to a large group in another room. Observed manager barking orders at the older lady at the cashier counter, young man and younger second female server barely contributing to helping the floor service. We ordered eggs/biscuits and gravy and eggs/hash. Both meals were cold except for the eggs. Potatoes were under cooked and hash was burnt/overcooked. Also portions are too large. Observed many tables with too much excess food going in the garbage- waste of money to the restaurant. Why have I said all this? I am a former restaurant service person. If a restaurant understaffs the help and food is not hot, it will be a revolving door of new customers but no routine customers. I do not recommend coming here.

We were hoping to have a great meal since the parking lot was full. Atmosphere was nice. I had the chicken fajita and it was so spicy that I couldn't eat it. My throat was burning. Waitress was nice and asked if I wanted something different and I got some soup instead. It was okay. Hubby had an open face roast beef dinner and his roast beef was raw. The whole meal. Very disappointed.

Standard diner fare with an extensive menu. Service was good but slightly rushed. An elderly man (perhaps the owner) stared at us as we arrived and as we left, mouth agape and unblinking. Very weird and very uncomfortable. The staff huddled together behind the counter complaining and/or gossiping about customers non-stop. The food was decent with generous portions and reasonable prices. Summary - visit once then never again
