Hunan Noodle Flushing Reviews
Really great Hunan noodle spot! The food is flavorful and very affordable. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. The restaurant is also clean and the atmosphere is nice and comfortable. Definitely a great place to grab a quick and tasty meal. 🍜✨
Home authentic food, every time a must to eat in flushing. Staffs are like your moms and sisters. Very friendly and take well care of you. Very affordable too.
Forever favorite and affordable authentic hunan dish in NY. Staffs are super nice too. Visiting here Every time!
I got the beef noodle soup with flat noodles and chilis, it was pretty good! Fast service. The noodles were chewy and absorbed the flavor mildly well. Nice level of spice and the broth was pretty good too, not a lot of depth of flavor but tasty. The beef was particularly good though, well seasoned and moist. The real value of this meal was in the price. At $10.50 for a sizable bowl with lots of noodles, you can't find much better in Flushing. Would certainly come back and try more.
Excellent authentic food. Affordable and white rice was free refill. There was a condiment/topping station too (including peanuts, chopped beans, and pickled veggies, among others), which was so good. We ordered beef, pork and fried rice with pickled veggies (came with separate broth), all of which were really good. The pork we expected it to be less fatty, but it’s alright. The flavor palette was very consistent among the three meals, transporting us back to China. It’s not your typical Cantonese, Shanghainese, or Sichuan food. There are some common thread but if you’re adventurous, give this place a try. You could order from the iPad too. They speak very little English, but remained very friendly and professional. All the food was cooked fresh to order. Other patrons were not loud, so that’s a plus.
We’ve gotten takeout here before and were impressed so decided to visit in-person. The food here is delicious and the portion sizes are big. This time, we got the stir fried hot and sour potatoes, preserved pork and pickled radish - which I highly recommend for its smoky salty flavors - and tomato beef noodle soup as a main. The tomato beef was pretty good but my favorite is still the hot and sour rice noodle - it just scratches an itch for the sour flavor profile that isn’t too common. Try their homemade yogurt too - it comes in a cute lightbulb bottle and offers a nice contrast to the spicy dishes
This restaurant might be one of the most authentic Hunan eateries in Flushing. Although named Hunan Noodle, they offer a wide range of Hunan snacks. From the familiar flavors of Hunan-style rice noodles and stir-fried beef to the less common steamed meat with rice flour, marinated dishes, and stinky tofu, their selection is extensive. Additionally, their kitchen is open, allowing you to see the clean and active cooking environment and the freshness of the food being prepared on-site. They also offer self-service condiments, unlimited refills on noodles, and exceptionally attentive service. Highly recommended for those looking to explore Hunan cuisine.
Love love loved this place. The food was great, wonderful portion sizes and amazing flavor. The noodles were bouncy and smooth. My personal favorites were the tomato and egg, wood ear mushroom, and the pickle vegetables fried rice. Their customer service was very hospitable. The prices are very affordable. Will for sure visit again! 😋 Tips: 1) $0 extra noodle (Dine-in) 2) Promotional 50% off of semi-cooked noodle soup
When you arrive you just sit at an empty table and order from the pad and the food will be brought to you. The food itself was okay, generous portions and came out very fast. There’s a toppings bar where you can get an assortment of pickles, chilis and vinegar which help boost the flavor. Really enjoyed the sticky rice meatballs and duck gizzard. The small dishes were pretty affordable so it was fun to try an assortment. Looking forward to trying a different set of apps next time! Employees are also very busy but super nice.
Free noodle refill if I dine in. The dishes are free to refill as well. It’s clean as I see the staff also takes from the jar to add to their meal. Taste great, very affordable price. Most authentic stinky tofu so far in NY. Done in adds 15% tip by default. They kindly reminded. They offer rice tea and table service. So much better than the minimum 20% tip placed. Will definitely come back.
Amazing food with good portion, just enough spice to get you in a comfortable hotness (mild level)!
This was such a great experience! Although there is definitely a language barrier with the staff, they are really helpful and pump out tons of dishes in minutes! Although my dish was really tasty, I wish it had more protein. Overall, though, prices are amazing, and the food is really tasty!
Food here is amazing and the pricing is good. We will be back. Docking them one star for automatically adding a 15% tip when they do NOTHING. Very common for Chinese places to want a tip even though there is zero service. It is expected that in the USA a tip is automatic and not earned. Wish this wasn't the belief but unfortunately most of Flushing operates this way.
