Tous les Jours Flushing Reviews
Ever since I discovered this cake, I never bought another one again. Yogurt is so much healthier than all cream and best of all, they make this blueberry yogurt cream creamy but light and perfect sweet and sour enough to taste better than all other cream. It is usually lower in sugar and even lower in sugar for the one I go to in flushing union street. That means perfect fluff and more health friendly! By the way, blueberries? Like and sweet? Omg perfect choice! Don’t expect customer service to understand the products and its contents though, I like my blueberry cake with the caking white instead of the blue they have sometimes but the customer service never know what’s inside and don’t understand what I’m saying.
A cozy spot with amazing coffee and a welcoming vibe. The drinks are rich and well-crafted, the pastries are always fresh, and the staff make you feel right at home. A must go when you visiting New York City.
Tous Les Jours is a wonderful bakery with a clean, cozy atmosphere and beautifully displayed pastries. Everything is always fresh, soft, and flavorful. The bread has the perfect balance of sweetness and texture, and the cakes are light and not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. The staff is friendly, efficient, and always in a good mood, even during busy times. I also love that they toss whatever they don’t sell at the end of the day and bake fresh bread the next day—it really shows their commitment to quality. It’s a great place to grab dessert, coffee, or a treat for a special occasion. Highly recommend!
Andea Lizeth was phenomenally sweet and amazing at what she does. Especially with her personal testimony on which cake she favored more helped me with the decision on the cake I purchased for my boss birthday! Keep shining Ms. A Lizeth it truly shows and Thank you again for your outstanding customer service- Nina Č.
I always enjoy my visits to Tous Les Jours. Their beverages are consistently crafted with care, and my recent experience with the new Iced Butter Pecan Cloud Latte was exceptional—creamy, delicately sweet, and perfectly balanced in flavor. It had such a comforting richness that I’m already looking forward to trying the warm version next time. One suggestion I’d love to offer is to expand the cake slice selection. While the existing options are delightful, it would be wonderful to see a broader variety of classic vanilla and chocolate cakes, perhaps with creative twists that showcase Tous Les Jours’ signature style.
Very convenient. Right next to Q28 bus stop and block away from Main Street Flushing 7 train station. Munchies are fresh and tasty. On this trip, they didn't have my favorite mango smoothie so tried the peach which was good too. Also, tried their new olive pizza bread which was excellent. Busy day today and their cubby hole was full so I couldn't stop and eat in. It was fortunate as the bus was filling with passengers. Time to leave.
I went on a Saturday morning and the cafe was only half full. I didn’t have to wait too long on the line. The employee was knowledgeable and processed my order quite quickly. I took my items to go, but I’d probably eat here if I had the time. There was ample cafe seating and even a cute toast mirror. After arriving home I sampled a slice of a castella cake and green tea Swiss roll. The castella had a nice vanilla flavor to it and a slightly richer feel compared to a regular Chinese style cake. I did find it to be slightly dry right out of the package. I had a slice the next day and found it had picked up some moisture from being stored in the refrigerator, so this is a rare occurrence where it tasted better the next day. As for the Swiss roll it was excellent right out of the package and a couple of days later. The green tea flavor was at just the right level and the texture and moisture level of the cake was perfect. The cream was smooth and slightly salty which contrasted well with the cake. A small core of red bean was at the center of the roll which was a welcome addition.
A visual pleasure! Lovely display cases and nice interior layout and design. Thought I was in Paris ( in Flushing )! The offerings were fresh and colorful. Enjoyed a Strawberry cream cake slices and an apple- topped pastry. Ordered a $45 Blueberry Yogurt cake. Was delicious and ready on the morning we pre- ordered it. Can't wait to return. Associates very friendly and ultra helpful. Thank you!!!
I really love the place, the variety of bread and desserts that they have it’s amazing, everything looks so good that you’ll want to buy at least one piece of everything!, and the cakes?. Those cakes are amazing. I really love the creativity that they put into everything. And let’s not forget about the customer service, they are super nice and sweet; and the best? They are taking the best measures so that the client takes care of their health and that of others, they have a hand sanitizer when entering the business and gloves for the customers to use!
I like coming here when I’m the mood for something sweet. The macarons are great and any other dessert I tried. Maybe the sandwiches need improvement and maybe the service a little. Also, there should be a rule on how long people can dine in for. I had to wait a very long time to get a table when some people were sitting without ordering anything or long after they finished their coffee.
Not bad of a place considering all the hype I heard regarding this franchise. They have more then 1 store and the other one I know is near queens center mall in the middle of the block this one kind of sits in the corner. You go inside and the ambiance is pretty good. There are a couple of workers in the back preparing the food or tending to the customers with 2 registers at a time but other than that it’s usually self service. Take what you want sort of thing. You browse around and find all different types of deserts and pastries. I tried a couple things I have never seen before and I was pretty amused by the experience of it all. Still depending on how you see spending $15 on a couple of 1 time snacks maybe a bit on the far end. They do have sandwich meals and other lunch time options but this is mostly for cakes, drinks, sweet items etc. The menu sometimes may not be so clear but other than that no other complaints about this place. Plenty of space to sit around, eat and have conversations on the intricacies of life.
I want to preface this review by stating that I will continue to come here as I think the coffee, cakes and pastries are all above average. The staff overall is fine but there is not enough staff at the checkout counters. There are only 2 cashiers and I've been in here hundreds of times and over 80% of the time there is a long line. I understand there may be a cost factor here but I've observed a lot of people leaving the line or people with very annoyed faces. I waited for 10 minutes this morning for a cup of coffee and I feel that if management added a cashier or perhaps came up with a system where the staff would be more efficient it would greatly help.
Great cafe for a quick coffee break or breakfast. A wide variety of Asian inspired and French influenced pastries. Although some buns and pastries need no additional sugar coatings as it is already filled with very sweet fillings. Service is acceptable but the ‘wait lines’ to the cash register are very disorganized. Benches and padded cushions on chairs are VERY STAINED AND DIRTY. Restrooms are always dirty. Bad sign of the maintenance and management skills. A clean bathroom tells a lot about the establishment and how their pastries and cakes are served.
It's been a couple of years since I've been to this location and I'm disappointed in the decline in service. My coffee order was incorrectly taken and the barista didn't make it right when correcting the order. I didn't realize the order was wrong again until I left to head to work. The baristas from a couple years ago were so wonderful.
The cakes were nice the line was pretty quick. Went in line mostly to buy some drinks, the guy at the counter seemed new as he was taking his time finding the items on his screen, he also messed up a few times when we said iced versus hot. But the drinks, same guy went to make my drinks, he was really staring down at recipes they had trying to find the drinks I ordered....ordering 2 iced honey lemon teas does not mean they should be warm, without any honey, and made together because the second cup literally has the paper from the teabag of the first cup. Even if they were asked to remake it, all they did was add ice, still no honey and still with the paper soaking at the bottom of the cup... Also, the more complicated drink that was ordered as made right. New hires should be monitored, not left alone.
It might be unfair to give this 5-star review but based on the sliced bread that I was bought by a friend yesterday, the quality was top-notch. I have to change this to 1-star because after interacting with those cashiers (non-Asians), they need serious training or just quit the job. Sorry.
They don't know how to treat customers. They should be educated. They were so rude and ignored what I've said. I was in the right line and I was first but manager ignored and did not apologized. Terrible!
Although I love these cakes and have been a loyal customer for years, the service has become incredibly unprofessional. After being sold an unfresh cake from the back, I began requesting cakes specifically from the display window, but this has led to hostile encounters and staff members yelling at me. Most recently, an employee named Alexandra intentionally misled me by switching a display cake for one from the back while boxing it up. The staff's dishonest behavior and dismissive attitude have made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. It is disappointing that such a great product is paired with such poor treatment, and I hope management addresses these issues immediately.
Reply : We received two calls from the police, who instructed us to notify the Better Business Bureau. However, your establishment claimed we finished the food before requesting a refund or exchange. As evidenced by the attached picture, the food was barely touched when we returned it to your manager, who was rude and unprofessional. Furthermore, your establishment failed to declare food ingredients on the container, which is a violation of law. According to legal standards, if food quality is subpar, it should be recooked and provided correctly. Your actions appear to be a scam, and attempting to threaten us is unacceptable. Instead of threatening customers, you should focus on enhancing your service and food quality. We paid for our meal and did not request anything for free. Your business practices are questionable, serving undeclared food, which is both illegal and unethical. We expect professionalism and courtesy. ….. ….. Today we visited this store and encountered a rude manager, Yoon. Subsequently, we contacted 911 and the police arrived. This incident exemplifies their service standards. Customers are compelled to seek external assistance due to the subpar service. The entire experience was absolutely ridiculous and the store's service was the worst. Exercise caution when dealing with them. This incident occurred approximately at 3 pm. Don’t go.
