Highland Noodles Frisco Reviews
The waitstaff serving us today were super nice helping us by explaining the dishes and noodle types and how to order through the online website. Another waitstaff noticed us struggling to separate some of the super long hand pulled noodles so they brought us some scissors to help cut up the noodles. Service was amazing and the food was really good. I recommend the shredded potatoes appetizer dish. It was so good. The portion size was good too and we probably could have split a bowl between a couple people
The food was amazing. They have fresh hand pulled noodles. We got the chicken fried rice, chicken/corn dumplings, and the Oily Noodles. The food was phenomenal! I wish their soup dimsim didn’t have pork. :( Thank you Gary for the awesome customer service. We will def be back! 🤤
I absolutely loved this place! I ordered the beef wide noodle dry pot, and it was out of this world. The flavor was amazing, the portions were honestly huge (definitely enough for 2-3 people) and you can taste the freshness in the noodles. I also tried the char siu buns, which were amazing. The dough was incredibly soft, fluffy, and moist, and the filling had that perfect balance of sweet and savory. Highly recommend if you're looking for great comfort food!
Lanzhou Hand Pulled Noodle is an absolute gem! Their lunch special is super affordable and such a great value. It comes with side dishes, and we picked the tea egg, extra meat, cucumber salad, and chili shredded potato salad — everything was delicious. The noodles were perfectly chewy, the broth was rich, and the sides complemented the meal so well. Friendly service and fast, too. Definitely one of my new favorite lunch spots! Highly recommend.
Everything is made fresh daily and it shows!! So delicious! We had Char Siu bao, custard bao, and taro bao - excellent all three. Shrimp, vegetarian and pork dumplings were so good and made fresh. The star was Mongolian beef with hand pulled noodles. The sauce had a complex flavor profile with chili, red onion, and lemon grass. We loved it! Customer service was so kind!
Great restaurant for many noodle options! Their hand pulled noodles are chewy and delicious. For hand pulled noodles, we had the Beef w/ Tomato Soup Noodles which was delicious, and the Mongolian Beef Noodles which weren't quite as great, but still good. I've also had the Braised Pork Noodles which were great. The pork was well braised, tender, and flavorful, and the noodles were also chewy and delicious. The green beans are the crunchiest and best cooked green beans I've had in the DFW area so far. Which is super impressive because green beans are the hardest vegetable to get right. The flavor is also great, I just wish infused the dish with more of it. Is also recommend their Shrimp Dumplings. Although they don't have soy sauce at all tables despite having many dim sum dishes. Would recommend having soy sauce at the tables.
What a delicious meal! I stumbled across this place while traveling and I was surprised by this hidden gem. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The food was just as amazing. I tried the dan dan noodles, cucumber salad, and caviar siu mai and recommend all 3. Don’t forget to pair it with the chili oil on the table. It wasn’t too spicy but but still had all the flavor. Honestly, I will make it a point to visit next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend! (:
We got the Lanzhou hand pulled beef noodles in flat, the oily noodles, green beans and eggplant, crystal dumplings, caviar siu mai, and char siu bao. The beef noodles are a must order; the broth flavor and the noodles are perfect! While the caviar siu mai wasn’t the type of caviar I expected, the siu mai were one of the best I’ve had. You could probably just order the normal siu mai in that case. Will definitely be coming back for the beef noodle soup!
Absolutely incredible dining experience! This Chinese noodle and dim sum restaurant is a hidden gem. The noodles are perfectly chewy and full of flavor, and the dim sum is freshly made with delicate, delicious fillings. The dumplings are a must-try—juicy, tender, and bursting with authentic taste. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant. Every dish we ordered, from the steamed buns to the hand-pulled noodles, was prepared with care and authenticity. Prices are reasonable for the high quality, and the portions are generous. If u love authentic Chinese cuisine, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again! Highly recommend!
We ordered the Lanzhou noodle soup, oily noodles, beef stir fried noodles, and sesame oil tripe. I love the different noodle options and the oily noodles is my favorite! Spicy chewy delicious. My son (3yo) loves their tripe. I dip in my broth to rinse some of the flavor off for him to eat. Love eating here.
Fell in love with this place! Super delicious and would definitely go back. I really enjoyed their hand pullled noodles, which they make from scratch, I believe. I got their Oily Noodles, the noodles were the best I've ever had and the spice level was really spicy which I really loved! I also shared dumplings at the table, pork steamed dumplings and soup dumplings. I will say the soup dumplings didn't have much soup in them but the meat is really good. The service could of been a bit better. They did come by, refilled our water, and asked if we needed anything else, which was good, but if you haven't been before, you just need to scan the menu yourself and order everything on your phone. But overall, good experience and I'll definitely come back!
I recently tried Highland Noodles and ordered the Spicy Beef Hot Pot and Sweet and Sour Pork—both dishes were absolutely delicious! The Spicy Beef Hot Pot had a perfect balance of flavors, with tender beef and a rich, savory sauce that had just the right amount of spice. The Sweet and Sour Pork was crispy on the outside and wonderfully tender inside, with a sweet and tangy glaze that made each bite addictive. The portions were generous, and the service was prompt and friendly.
The dumplings were really good and definitely the highlight of our meal. The soup was comforting and flavorful, especially on a cold day. Service was decent and the food came out quickly. Overall a solid spot if you’re craving dumplings, and I’d come back to try more items.
Overpriced food. Clear beef noodle soup was ok. But the scrambled egg pepper is a total joke. It’s hard to believed they priced this the same as the other noodle. Don’t order this. Chicken feet is mediocre.
I have to say the garlic ribs showed in the picture were not pleasant at all. They were too big and fatty. We paid then tried to tell the manager about it. We are not seeking any discount or compensation because we already paid. The manager tried to ask us to separate the big the chuck. He has no intention to solve the issue. Of course we are not coming back. BTW, if you order tea they offer the tea bags. So bad. Do not recommend.
