I got the mangorida Margarita and it’s super yummy! Margaritas are only $3.50!

After getting sick from a restaurant down the street, my husband took me here to get something plain. I ordered their bean and cheese tacos, and they helped my pregnant tummy feel so so much better. The tacos/beans were really fresh, the queso and chips were very yummy and even the regular sized cup is pretty big. For just under $7 it was a heck of a deal. The service was also friendly, especially considering the fact that we did go in close to closing time. Over all, the food was great, service was great, and it saved my tummy from feeling worse. Thanks Taco Cabana :) I will definitely be back

Don't bother if you cant go inside. I've gone about 7 times in 8 months. Never have i obtained the things I ask for. I get it, you make a very low wage, however the fact that there is no attempt to pay attention means that you will never make more. It is astonishing how I can order the same thing every time, and repeat multiple times what I want, cabana bowl, chicken, and black beans, salsa ranch and jalapeno on the side. Yet EVERY TIME I am missing jalapeno, and salsa ranch, or black beans is refried. Today was different, I ordered exactly that and inside the bowl was 1 piece of chicken and I had to tap the glass to get jalapenos and salsa ranch. It's not my business but when you invest time and attention to the company who hired you, you become more valuable to the company, therefore worth more. For heavens sake, at least act like you care. Edit: 2 months ago I left this review,and I was there on location to buy my wife some lunch 3 days ago. The ABSOLUTE TURN AROUND in quality, staffing, attention to detail, care in making order correct, and communication, has made me true believer. After decades of being a loyal customer at various locations, I stopped going to Taco Cabana because of the drastic change in service, as well as the limited hours. I went from going twice a month to pick up office treats to maybe once every 12-18 months, simply because it was becoming more and more upsetting to receive such poor service. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited this location in Galveston. Jeremiah was friendly, polite, professional, and prompt. So much so, I returned the next day. There, I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful associate who I learned was the District or Regional Manager. Lydia, and Daniella were so sweet and helpful that day that I may start giving TC a try again. Thanks for elevating the customer experience back to what it needs to be. For once in a long time, they didn't seem like they didn't want to be there -- this location is clearly operating with a great leader and team, and as a customer, I really appreciate it!

We were so grateful for the hospitality and service at this location. Mrs. Lydia was amazing and everyone that helped us were wonderful. Totally stop by and enjoy this location during your time in Galveston!

Not being from here, I wasn't sure if my expectations. However, they can't have a million locations if they're terrible, right? Our order was taken by a very kind and patient lady. We didn't wait long, and the food was great. What started as a curiosity has now morphed into a weekly ritual. Kudos to the staff here for giving us a nice experience.

This place has the best employees I have ever had the pleasure to meet! Everyone is so pleasant and helpful! I’m telling y’all. I go out to eat often and I compare the level of service here that I receive from popular, high end cantinas. Terry was very helpful at the restaurant and took care of my special requests perfectly! Not only is their service top notch, I am highly impressed at the quality of food! This is the Beyond Beef taco and let me tell you, I ordered even more to go after my dine in! I will definitely come back each time I visit the island which is almost every other weekend!

First and foremost the staff were so kind and inviting, the people will always make or break a restaurant experience and they MADE MINE. The food was fresh and made to order, they even delivered it to my table and my husband helped because we weren't expecting it. The restaurant was so well tender to without a crumb in sight and the bathroom was sparkling with a fresh scent. This was my first time there, but I know it won't be my last!

Went through the drive thru at 9:45 at night and ordered 24 street tacos on a whim because that’s what the family wanted to eat. The drive thru lady, Kiara, I’m sure I killed the spelling, and the manager Tracey were phenomenal. They didn’t complain asked how I wanted them made, if I wanted sauces on the side, they got it out very fast as well, very sweet ladies. I just moved to Galveston and this is my second time to this Taco Cabana and it was just as amazing as the first time a few weeks ago. This was my first time at a Taco Cabana. We're from out of state and we don't have one where we live, so I wanted to see what the hype was about. Not bad for fast food. The cheese on my enchilada was perfectly melted (queso style) and I really loved the carne asada on the street tacos! It reminded me of great taco trucks back home. My husband wasn't impressed with the cheese quesadilla's, but I liked them, especially with the salsa. Overall, really good food if you want to get something quick through the drive-tru! Speaking of drive-thru, as convenient as it was, this experience was not great. The lady taking my order was all over the place. Not only was she hard to understand, and she struggled to understand me for some reason, she'd say "go ahead," and I told her what I wanted, and then she'd immediately stop me and say "hold on" and there would be a loooooong pause until she'd come back and ask me to repeat what I had said. This happened a few times. I only ordered 4 things, it shouldn't be that difficult! She also messed up several items while reading back my order. I refused to move on until she got it right, which I'm sure aggravated her, because when I got to the window to pay, she was less than friendly. Maybe she was new and training? I dunno. I didn't see anyone else with her at the window. It was just bad timing for a rather long line of cars behind us too. Either way, the food was good!

The lady at the counter was very rude. The bathrooms were nasty. The dining area was clean and the food was good.

We stopped going to this location for awhile due to mediocre food and subpar service. There is a new DM in town and she is making CHANGES! The food this last visit was hot, flavored well and was tasty but the service ... 200% better! I was met with a smile, everyone was friendly and it was an all around pleasant experience. If you haven't been in awhile, give them another try! Remember, change takes time so give them grace but they are MOST DEFINITELY headed in the right direction!

Check the bag before you leave. I didn't get my tacos. The food was great otherwise. The flautas and quesadillas. And to go margs after 6 hours in the car with my kids was much needed

Picked up fajita chicken bowl and peach margarita to go. The drink was good, and the bowl was good and the portion was generous but kind of missing a kick compared to other restaurants. The service was friendly and quick.

We went for a later night dinner and were able to sit at the patio under lights. We waited about ten minutes for our order. Service was neither friendly nor unfriendly. Food was good, but not great--although the pico was great. A little disappointed there was nothing to add a little picante.

I have been going to TC for over 40 years! This is a Texas favorite for Tex-Mex fast food with homemade flour tortillas. My daughter will stop on her way home from work just to have fresh homemade tortillas. They are very consistent with their food. Very good tacos, quesadillas, and Mexican plates. My husband likes the chips and queso with his food. They do have frozen margaritas, beer and wine, along with Coke products and sweet tea. This is a convenient location right off IH 35 in New Braunfels. The new rewards program is a plus. I just got a free breakfast taco. Stop in for a quick snack or a meal.

Ordered for delivery. The food was cold despite us being 5 minutes away and the driver being quick. The food was poorly prepared in that it was slopped everywhere and did not seem fresh.

First you have to get past the little cashier up front that looks like an owl with all the eye makeup, who-who got persnickety when I started my second half of the order. 25 minutes later I get my fajitas, they are cold and dry. I am then told I need to wait an additional 5 minutes for the side fixens, and you could tell it was really a bothersome chore for this particular girl. The other half of our order was also cold, cheese obviously melted under a heat lamp. Upon informing them of these mistakes, we were blown off, and nothing was done until the complaint was registered with the manager 15 minutes later, and not by the employees. Carolyn then did everything in her power to make things right which is why they're getting three stars instead of just one. Literally the only thing the children got right were the tortillas that they had to make fresh upon delivery. This place needs to ditch the lazy, entitled children that they have working there and hire some experienced people with a brain, as it is usually a very pleasant experience when visiting this location.

Ordered via Uber Eats at 11:15pm as they were one of the few places still open. Ordered a steak fajita combo, bean & cheese burrito, and Cabana bowl with crispy shell. Steak fajita arrived completely plain. No peppers, no onion, no salsa. Also, there was no drink (I ordered a Dr. Pepper). Overall the food was okay, but very bland. Will not ever order Taco Cabana via Uber Eats. Maybe I will go in person where I can verify the order is correct, but tonight's late night dinner was a bit of a disappointment. The only saving grace was that it wasn't overly expensive.

In the amount of time that it takes to write a Google review, I have stared into this drive thru menu waiting... and waiting... for any sign of life. I’m almost certain there is no one in this place and it is in fact an elaborate hoax. UPDATE: Drive Thru just spoke to me! Asked if there is any behind me. I think they are experiencing some major technical difficulties in the kitchen. I will add one more star, as I understand these things happen.

I wasn't quite sure how to rate this restaurant because everything was okay. On the Google reviews a 3 is okay. So, I rated them a 3. The manager asked me why and it's because of the liquid cheese they put on my nachos. It would be much better if they used shredded cheese that has been used traditionally to make nachos ever since I can remember. If they just used real shredded cheese, it would be much better.

I got the mixed meat fajitas and they were pretty tasty, but had no salsa or pico de gallo until I asked. The fajitas were tasty, especially the beef, which was better. A bit over priced IMHO. I got the nixed taco lunch special that came with chips and queso and a drink.

I spent most of my teen years enjoying Taco Cabana. Brings back many memories. Sadly they no longer have the sour cream enchiladas I used to love. The food was subpar, dry and they forgot to provide us with sour cream. The drive through hostess was very short with me and rushed me through the process. Made me feel like I was a burden. They have definitely gone downhill from years prior.

Food just as it has always been except we ordered items with guacamole and wasn't informed that they were out. Service was horrendous. I literally had to scream my order for the woman to hear it. There was no seating inside, so we sat on the patio, only to be locked out. Several other patrons informed them that the patio door was locked and they still had yet to unlock it when we were leaving. 30 minutes later. The woman taking my order acted as if she was inconvenienced by me eating there. Lots of sighs while taking my order and yes I'm screaming it. Not a fun or delightful experience at all. This has made me and my family only want to eat at locally ran restaurants where we have be treated nicely. How is it I spend $50 at your restaurant and the lady behind the counter sighs like that to my face? Is she not understanding that people eating there ensures she has a job?

The customer service is horrible. And awful lot of attitude in tone of voice and the drive through and at the window. Also smart remarks when they said “I already said that.” When they did not when taking about what was on the menu. They also closed the window multiple times while talking. They ended up getting the order wrong and that made the employee working even more frustrated. How is that my fault? And she grunted multiple times through the whole encounter. Thanks to the young guy working who was very nice when he gave the chips that she forgot.

The food was somewhat acceptable. The lady who took our drive through order was rude, impatient, got our order wrong,, barely able to understand the items we ordered, and made us wait about 10 minutes after she took the previous order. The order was incomplete, missing three items. I appreciate that they serve Beyond Meat Burger Tacos but $4.99 for a tiny taco?!? Probably won’t eat here again.

Well this location is just strange. First, they won’t let me pick up my online order through the drive through. Second, once inside when i ask for some salsa ranch, they tell me to just get it from the bar myself. Last, i have 3 drinks, they get them ready and leave it on the counter with a drink holder so i can put them in the holder myself.

Breakfast here is really good. However today we went for lunch, we got a taco, New brisket Taco and a New Brisket melt. The taco shell on the taco was really good and flaky but no flavor inside on the meat or anything. The brisket tacos were so small and didn't come with BBQ sauce as stated. If your going to have a brisket taco don't be stingy or take it off the menu. Also the chips on the chips and queso for 4 bucks is so puny you end up with over half the queso left and no chips. 30 bucks wasted

Now, I know everyone is raising prices right now but $7 dollars. That's too much. And what's up with the Salas Bar??? It's STILL empty! Guys, covid is over. Get yourself back in order. Food is decent quality. None of the fountain drinks worked. They weren't busy when we got here but got busy quick. Took about 30 minutes to get our foodand some items were wrong one of the guys said that we confused them with the order and took no responsibility. Tyne floors also felt dirty. I am so sick and tired of the laziness and the attitudes of the employees at this establishment! Why is this even allowed or acceptable? We are new to the island and where we come from, Taco Cabana has great food and excellent service. Not this location - they are always out of stock on something, they are LAZY and they have bad attitudes! It's people like us that allow them to have a job and to receive a paycheck! Where is management? We have gone there several times and have hoped for better service each time, we are always let down! It's stores like this that need to be closed down! Oh, and let's not forget, they will often close the drive thru because of the laziness, do not go here! Pick another spot that will actually give you good food, great service and who don't look like they are miserable and hate their jobs! They need a complete re-do and we will NEVER go there again! Ordered breakfast Tacos, tortillas falling apart and the eggs were HARD. I opened them up and lost my appetite. Almost like the portions of ingredients for the tortillas was... off? Like a cup too much flour and not enough of anything else. Every piece of bacon was burnt, and they threw in shredded cheese into the Tacos. I specifically said no cheese, lactose intolerance makes this dinner a waste of 24$. Overall just seemed like nobody either knew what they were doing, or didn't care. Never had an experience like this at any other taco cabana.

So just about anywhere else I’ve been taco cabana is awesome. I love the food and usually very good people handling it, but this place is absolutely disgusting. Walked in. Stood at the registers for 10min, got looked at and flat out fully ignored. Walked out and went across the parking lot to Schlotsky’s. Turned out for the better, as their restaurant doesn’t look like the cleaning has been also ignored.

We came into this location excited to get our usual meals while being on vacation, when we walked in, there were only 2 other guests in the building that were either already eating or just waiting for their food so it wasn’t busy at all. We weren’t greeted or acknowledged at all, we stood in line/at the register for roughly 10 minutes before someone finally came over (and seemed very annoyed with having to take our order). After we placed our order we chose a table outside to enjoy the morning breeze and we had our table number sitting on the table as in our experiences in the past, they bring you your food when it’s done. That didn’t happen here. We had another customer have to come outside and tell us our food was done. Last thing, was that there was no salsa bar available and they said they were out of all the salsas which I found hard to believe but I know things happen so that wasn’t a huge deal to us. Overall, I would choose a different location if you’d like actual customer service.

Oh goodness! Where do I even begin... The quality of the food this particular day was disgusting. The service was horrendous. I have never met so many people in a restaurant that truly hated their job and actually vocalized/showed it. The ONLY person that was even helpful was the manager, Daniel (I believe his name is). He was beyond amazing! I felt so bad for him, because his help/employees just weren't beneficial for him. Being in THIS particular location, they're busy quite often. The food turn around time should be quite fast, or faster than it was. We will NOT be back. I have called their 1-800 number. Although it was a major complaint, I did put in a nice word for the manager.

After spending 26mins in the Drive-through, they got my friends burrito wrong, noted all I asked for on the burrito was black beans, rice. And guac, then open my tacos and was very disappointed... also they tried to over charge, let's just say I will not be giving them my Business any time soon

I came to order 2 meals and a drink… sat there for 5 minutes with one person already at the window, waiting to order. I was asked to pull up and sat there for another 5-10 minutes. The lady came out with half our order and then had to wait.. AGAIN. Then a guy came out to go over our order again and sat there.. AGAIN. And one of our meals didn’t come with all the topping it was supposed to. Get back to the hotel to realize.. there is no utensils and I ordered a salad… there was nobody else ahead or behind us.. this is ridiculous..

Why do they have to be so rude? Sunday at noon, not too busy, ordering most expensive family Meal, and they act like our order is an inconvenience. Treating my employees to a meal today. Glad I did not send one of them to order it. Food is always good, but employees are always so miserable. Such a shame. Even management. Maybe time for a management change in this location. Cashier especially rude.

Y'all, no....just...no, just don't. Lots of signage about "hatch green chili month" starting on the front door, along the counter, & on the menu itself. As a fan, heck yeah, I'll have 2 large green hatch chili tacos please! The other option was an order of 3 street tacos. As I'm ordering I'm asked the difference??? Told the cashier 2 of the large tacos, not 3 street tacos, she understood, my fiance ordered the same, so 4 large tacos, all good! As we're waiting on our tacos we hear cooks asking the same thing as the cashier, which tacos. I hear the cashier explain to the cooks as I did to her & all seemed good. We get our tray to the table & oh boy...see pic. Tortillas were from the fridge, no meat, & a half slice of lime IN THE TACO, like rine & all! Haven't been to a TC in years & I remember a salsa bar being a great thing to have. This location had the bar but it was completely empty. Maybe they've done a way with it, not sure. Some of the fountain drinks were out of syrup so just spewed out carbonated water. Seating area was cleaner than other restaurants I've visited lol. Overall, I think company management needs to provide more training to local staff. Clearly they didn't know about the promotion of hatch green chili items that were advertised nor did they know how to make said items. Customer service overall was good, just confusion about a company promotion.

We ordered taco cabana for delivery. Two tacos were missing from our order, we didn't get any of the extras we added on to our tacos, no salsas, and almost all of our breakfast tacos were without eggs (just meat and a tortilla). We will not be ordering from here again!

If I could give no stars I would. I ordered from Taco Cabana (it was recommended as we are on vacation here in Galveston) and they forgot my 4 sauces and the extra ones I paid for. I opened up my smoked chicken fajita quesadilla, pulled it apart to eat a slice and there was literally hair poking out of it 🤢 Super disappointed, and still hungry 😒

I ordered a Cabana bowl thur the drive thur. The Cabana bowl had no refried beans and no guacamole. I'm disappointed.

Not very good food, very heat and serve. There isn't any service here. You place your order at the counter, pick up your order, clean up your trash.

Usually a good chain to stop but this Galveston location is lacking a lot asked for the nachos with jalapeños on the side. Wait staff rudely informed me “it don’t come with jalapeños” this would be the first nachos I have ever seen without jalapeños. What I got was refried beans some ground meat cheese and a few tomatoes the garbage can loved it. Glad I had a extra 10$ to throw away

Customer service sucks. When dealing with customers, it's not professional to cut them off mid order in the drive through or have attitude. It's also unprofessional to purposely ignore the customer or the manager to be dismissive of trying to fix the problem. This is why I haven't been to a taco cabana in a while and will not be coming back.

The food didn't taste right ,made my stomach hurt afterwards. There were no drinks in the fountain drinks machine but yet they let me buy a drink,but then there was nothing to drink so I just had a cup. The workers there were nice 👍

Worst taco Cabana ever! When we drove up we didn't know it was open because no cars hardly in parking lot....I found out why, register operator couple barely put order in computer, the salsa bar was empty, bathrooms smelly so bad it was disgusting, the food sat on the counter top till it was getting cold because no one brought food or to our table, got locked out on patio because no one unlocked them. Told the assistant manager who just said "ok." Lol he could care less, I thought the place was maybe this way because there was no manager on duty. Finally the food was terrible, the brisket was dry out like jerky, the steak fajitas was chewy like leather straps... I'll never be back! And I love taco Cabana! Owner please fix this location! Disaster!

Ordered some tacos and chips and guacamole. They came to the window with some queso and told me they were out of guacamole. I told him I appreciate it but we are vegan so I can’t eat the queso. The guy just stood there staring at me. I told him , listen I don’t need queso if you don’t have guacamole please just give me a refund. At which point he walked off ssying “whatever that’s fine” and then the manager came up and said they do have guacamole and he apologized. He said he was going to give me the large guacamole which is funny because that’s what I paid for.

Dont waste ur money on those DRY brisket tacos...they aren't worth the price, not even buy one get one! What a WASTE! Worst brisket and no toppings come on it. It's laughable

They need to agree about selling margaritas. Two weeks ago, my husband and I bought two margaritas, and today I decided to go back and use the drive-thru to order a margarita, and they told me I had to buy food with it. Last time they didn't even mention it, they girl just sold us the margaritas without any problem.

Seriously the most blan worse Mexican food I have ever had lol……. Seriously…. Not trying to be dramatic but the queso tasted like saltless watered down bean soup….. and for $30 I’d expect A good portion of fajitas….. instead got a tiny portion of flavorless morcels….. Wife and Kid were still hungry after so walked across to Randall’s to get them more food. Ended up getting a TON more more with way more flavor for half the price…. Don’t know what happened to taco cabana….. Saddens me 😔

I went in with my family to have a nice lunch. The first issue was the smell of sewage that hit us in the face when we walked in. Our second issue was that they had no working ice machines, and they failed to tell us that until after we placed our entire order. This alone makes the drinks unenjoyable and should be something mentioned before you place an order. The restaurant was also filthy and there were no clean tables at all. I went to the restroom to wash my hands and it was also filthy and smelled bad. Once we got our food, the chicken was so gross that no one wanted to eat it. The only things good were the beef burrito and beans and rice. We are outside on the patio and there was a dead bird that had obviously been out there for days. That tells me that they either don't care or just don't go out there at all. One of the employees caught an attitude when we didn't receive the sour cream we ordered. We will likely never return to this location unless it goes under different management, because it was pretty obvious that no one here cares about their job.

Would give it 0 stars if I could. Filthy. Waited well over 20 minutes for our order and it was wrong 3 times. Soup was barely warm, flauntas were greasy and had been sitting, salsa bar was empty, everything was dirty, employees looked unkempt, trash was overflowing inside and out. A kitchen staff member left the restroom without washing his hands - at which point we abandoned our uneaten food.
