Last night I had stopped around 9pm to get myself a chicken sandwich, because for the most part every other location has had the best sandwich (imo). The chicken is always juicy and perfectly crisp with a warm soft bun. Last night was not the case. The chicken was hot but very difficult to chew, the bun was hard as a rock, my fries tasted like old burnt oil and corn. Which I can honestly say has never happened before at other locations. They were also out of Sweet Tea, which being an hour till close kinda sucked but I can understand that part. The woman at the window was at least very sweet. I stopped here with an hour left to drive home having driven about 20 minutes away, turning around last night wasn't an option especially since by the time Id get there they would be closed. Maybe it was a bag night for them, who knows. But check your food before you drive off to avoid disappointment.

It was about 50 degrees inside. Employees can't adjust the thermostat. It was miserable. But the food was good and hot thank God. We had to get blankets out of the car to tolerate the cold. And it's July...in Texas. Get it to go.

Where to start?! This is the first time my family and I have tried Golden Chick. We ordered online, which was easy. We live 20 miles away, but that wasn't a problem. We went, picked it up and brought it home. We were missing one family side. That's our fault for not checking at the store. Grab plates and start portioning out the food. Cons: Chicken was crispy but flavorless. Mashed potatoes were soupy and tangy?! The gravy was thick, lumpy, and tasted of flour. Pros: The shrimp and coleslaw were good. The sweet tea was fresh and perfectly sweetened, not overly sweet like some places. Would I go back? No, not at all. It was not worth the cost or drive over. Kinda glad they forgot the Mac and cheese, I would have been totally heartbroken if they messed that up too. I usually try not to leave bad reviews. Always try to find good things, but this time the bad outweighed the good and spending $75 on bad food is not something I do twice.

Their soft drinks had a burnt plastic aftertaste. Chicken was below mid average. I don't understand what's golden about this place... Maybe after trying Bush's Chicken no other place will ever tast the same.

Badd attitude and it’s always like this in this restaurant. People come from work tired wanting some food and with these young boys giving attitude you basically loose your appetite. Manager should take actions or train these employees properly especially with attitude and no AirPods while working. Giving attitude in any business is unprofessional and should consider applying were they shouldn’t deal with customers.

Was one of the worst experience I ever had the teenagers they have are rude as hell nobody smiles. Nobody says welcome. Nobody says thank you whoever is the manager needs to teach him to have respect for people and get rid of these teenagers if they don’t wanna work then why you have them in there I am tired of attitude. Y’all need to manage that probably be the last time I’m ever gonna go local people in this town like to go eat out of town because the situations like this zero stars.

So I got a spicy chicken sandwich with mashed potatoes and the sandwich is good drink good but the mashed potatoes were really liquified and tasted uncooked just wanting to let yall know so it won’t happen to anyone else.

ALWAYS check your order before leaving. I have ordered several times and every time, something has been left out of the order. For the amount of money the food costs, everything should be included. Spending $50 on a meal, things should not be left out. This has happened with drive thru ordering and online ordering.

Very disappointed. Went through drive thru, ordered 8 piece family meal and a large UNSWEET tea. Had to repeat the order twice, is the menu that difficult for order takers? When I got my order, the tea was too sweet to drink, asked for a small gravy and got 2, got this huge order of okra which was overcooked. Chicken was cold and dry. Cashier was not friendly, acted like she didn't want to be there. Won't go back.

Extremely irritated. I have NOT been here for a while, mainly because the value of the product is not on par with each other. This time, after a long day, I figured hmmm, chicken for dinner (wrong choice). I got strips that were ok at best. The rolls were OLD and tasted weird. The green beans I knew would be okish. The dirty rice tasted like it was actually dirty. The nice lady at the window asked if I wanted anything else sauce ketchup, etc. I said, "Just the cream gravy, it's in the bag right." she said, "Oh yes, it is". IT WAS NOT!!! I get home now. I'm tired and at home and... NO GRAVY. I highly, in the highest way, seriously doubt I will be back

Literally chicken jerky! Not only Is this jerky , but the roll is a burnt hockey puck. Of course they don’t answer their phone ,they are too busy over cooking the food.

Absolutely horrible location service slow slow slow workers are disorganized and constantly stepping each other, I ordered Buffalo chicken burger and had smallest splash Buffalo sauce where seen, pictures is uploaded to verify. People who ordered after me got their food before me. Burger was luke warm fires were hardly luke warm, raspberry lemonade was all raspberry and no lemonade. HVAC system beats on you as in lie to order more flow out of 2 vents than blower in jump house for kids. The location is not very clean. HVAC vents full dust, celining fans are covered in dust as well floors sticky, bathrooms were not clean. Trash of a place that serves food. Heath inspection needs to look into this location and handle accordingly workers not wearing gloves, touching hair faces, then food more considered with talking Spanish and joing around than they were to service quality meals.
