I can highly recommend this restaurant. I was here alone, without a reservation. They have many single and double seats, as well as larger tables for several people. I had the udon noodles. They were very tasty, and the service was really fast. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, they have no opportunity to sit outside.
Very good ramen :) Thank you guys.
Food was delicious and served at perfect temperature. Staff didn't smile once, I blame management because the poor guy was alone doing everything! Table service, preparing deliveries and charging customers. All in all, he and the chef provided great service considering the conditions... Ambience was nice but the seats are cramped and uncomfortable after 10m. You guys can copy and paste a (mostly) boilerplate response to this review like you did for all others, but the truth is if you want 5 stars reviews you need to invest in more staff or pay these guys more!
Not the best food. Service is good.
There was a significant ingredient missing From the soup. Which is ok, sometimes happen. But when i ask the lady to add to my order, she was rude, not cared about my problem. Finally i Could succeed to get it, she made the situation uncomfortable for me.
It seems Udon is the McDonalds of Asian food. It's a nice looking place, and the servers were friendly, although they probably needed more staff as we waited a long time to order (food came quickly though). The food was very unimpressive. My noodles were covered in a weirdly sweet sauce -it seemed like just packet noodles with a supermarket sauce poured over it. Every dish seemed to have this same sweet bbq-ish sauce on.
Nothing came close tasting like Japanese. Everything tasted sweet!! OyakuDon, a very common dish came with fried chicken n dark sauces n the sauce was tangy & sweet. Our first n last time but the staffs here are super friendly & accommodative.
Alas, a very mediocre experience! Normally, we love eating in Ramen chains when on vacation and are rarely disappointed, but we will not go to Udon again... Just compare the pictures of the sad looking ramen I received with the advertised bowls on the menu, I'm afraid that it also tasted like it looked, uninspired and bland. The service was unsynchronised and most likely squeezed in between take out orders.
Bad! I never leave negative reviews, but in this case, it's different. Waiters were friendly, but the food is not recommended at all. You can eat better anywhere else in Girona. I returned the chicken and salmon rolls and left the PadThai untouched...
I wouldn’t recommend to go there: The atmosphere is quite nice, I liked it. However, the quality of the food and service can be significantly improved. I’ve ordered a chicken curry udon with coconut milk that had vegetables in the dish. Yet, there were almost no vegetables (picture is included). When I asked to add some vegetables in my dish and offered to pay extra for it I was blindly said “no” without any explanations. Also, even though I like spicy and salty food, it had so much salt that I could hardly eat it and had to leave the food almost untouched.
Why bother listing 7pm as your opening time if you're still closed at 7:30? Is this some kind of charming local tradition among Japanese restaurants in Girona, or just your own special twist on hospitality?
Meal: Worst Phad Thai I've ever eaten! Noodles were soft and soaked in sweet sauce, barely chicken in it (maybe 2-3 little pieces, more soy sprouts than everything else). I assume, Chef doesnt know how to cook Thai. Store: looks nice from outside, but it's a trap! Chairs with no backrests, very uncomfortable! Plus, loud music is playing. Service: Employee brings food without cutlet, you have to stand up and get one! Price: meal is too small for the high priced dish. Result: Came hungry, left hungry! Couldnt finish the meal, it was disgusting. A meal should make you happy - unfortunately, I was frustrated.
