Dining Commons Hayward Reviews
Can’t complain this price in the Bay Area. 12.99 if paying cash or credit card. Not crowded at all. For a typical college buffet dining experience. You will get the classic chicken tender, fries, pizza, salad and coffee. Also you will have some gourmet dishes and some vegan choices. The food is fresh and tasted great actually. The staff are friendly and the interior looks newly renovated and kept clean. Plus you get a great view of the bay if you sit on the south corner of the building.

Nice big place, overall healthy food, I think they do not use MSGs which is good. FYI is is not only for students anyone can go and it is just $10 all you can eat.
Always a good meal!
The cheapest buffet you can find nowadays. A broad selection of food, suitable for vegans and non vegans.
Today I got to meet an amazing person today. The executive Chef Mecca is such a pleasing person with an amazing personality. She’s very welcoming and makes East Bay 100x better!
We went there for our field trip like 2 days ago. It was really fun the food was really really good I really want to go back

Not the best food but it's not bad. There are many variety of food and they change often. Also it's cheap so it's perfect for college students.
Very good food, Flatrate (and you can take also some food with you), but not good for vegetarians or sober eaters.
The food is better than people said it would be. They have options fot everyone (vegans, vegetarians and international choices). I am only giving it 4 stars though because the quality of the food could be better.

Best food on campus, but really that's not saying a lot. Good hours, fills you up, and has healthy options. I might recommend the meal plans.
Morning menu is garbage lunch is okay never experienced the dinner
Average buffet style food. They ran out of plates and cups during service so they switched to paper. The roast beef was tough like beef jerky. The mashed potatoes were good and so was the broccoli.
Food is alright. I've heard horror stories like rats and roaches here, but I think I enrolled here after those things happened. The food is adequate tasting, and they could do better with variety. Cookies are LIT though :)
Okay place definitely have to be careful with what you get since you can get sick. Sometimes aren’t the nicest of people but it’s okay also I don’t trust the salad anymore since one time I found a small caterpillar in it

My bunless double cheese burgers (2) both were half cooked !! I took it back to the Kitchen and they gave me another one and yet again the meat was pink... One of the Chefs are Rude and make comments like.... You know your meal is now over 1000 calories, when asking for more yogurt, you’re always eating up all my food, when i asked for beef on my nachos, and the last thing which was Nov 30th 2020 oh you’re eating light today when i only got chicken and tater tots... One thing he doesn’t understand is his food is NASTY and seasonless... So when i go i know exactlyyy what I'm going to eat... Ms Lisa, Syd, and the Night Shift are all so kind and Make going to the DC at night wayyyyyy better...
The bathroom sinks don't work, the workers pick food off the floor and don't wash their hands, the management makes up rules whenever they feel like it. They also don't cook the meat all the way through, they consider cheese pizza a "vegetarian" option. But the salads are okay.
Overpriced, overcooked, and over it. The food here ranges from chewy and rubbery to hard and possibly an actual rock. I think you're better off cooking for yourself if you can or waiting for the food trucks to come if you really need to spend money on something.

Pathetic food. They'll keep good food during tours to show people that they have variety but once the semester begins they make that Zuccini squash, day in day out.
Dark skinned Guy(employe of dining) wearing red shirt in his 40s was very rude. He should learn good manner and also learn to be polite. It’s also not good for him to harras/bother students who eat in dining hall. Students go to dining hall to eat food and he was bothering me. He came to my table and kinda disrespected me. That guy is not cool.
There was a fly in the mayo, They have had roach infestations summer of 2015, they pile oil on all the grilled items, (Items because it shouldn't be eatable), My chicken sandwich wasn't fully cooked, and they had an ecoli issue a while back. oh and your stuff might get stolen every now and then, no biggy. This place is run by aramark by the way.
