!!!Authentic!!! I went for breakfast and it was awesome! Now admittedly it's not fancy but you go there for the food; and the food is outstanding the service is great and as you can see from the pics below it looks just as good as tasted. Now I was just passing through from Austin and got lucky to find it, on my way back to Austin I tried to go there again but it closes in the afternoon which is the only draw back because if it was open for dinner I'd be having dinner there too. And word to the wise I asked her for the spiciest sauce that they had and boy did they deliver so watch yourself, but I Like It Hot!!! They have drive-thru but I opted in.

Must try’s: flan with the toppings, queso, any of the burritos, pastor and barbacoa tacos! Update Get the tacos! Just look at them! The barbacoa and pastor ones are amazing. They are rather big and full of flavor; especially because they add the grilled onions! The Caramelized onions brings a sweetness while the regular onions provide the crunch. Try their queso! It’s a white queso that pairs well with their super crispy chips. If you haven’t tried El Tacote, do yourself a favor and go get you some burritos. They have the best prices in town and their banana pudding was perfect after brunch. My wife orders a flan every time! Their desserts are just as good as their tacos/ burritos. My favorites are the chorizo egg burrito add cheese and the machaca plate. They actually give you meat with their egg burritos, It’s not just egg! The burritos at el Tacote are always made hot and fresh and have plenty of ingredients to pick from to build your burrito the way you like it. Everything is fairly priced compared to the rest.

We've bought food for takeout a few times and dined in once. All experiences were great. The food was delicious and the folks working there were super nice and professional. Prices are reasonable too! Oh yeah, We also got a dozen tamales and they were very tasty.

I had a chorizo, egg and cheese burrito with some red and green sauce. That thing was ready quick and tasted delicious! You get a pretty good sized portion for what you spend and the service is friendly and fast. Also, I really loved the red sauce. Something set it apart from other restaurants I've tried.

This restaurant is the perfect example of don't judge a book by its cover. Doesn't look so hot on the outside, but the food inside is amazing. Breakfast plates, pancakes & burritos were spot on. Family of 4 ate for $30. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

Everything that I’ve eaten there has been flavorful and fresh. My favorites are the street tacos-all of em’, breakfast burritos- all of em’ and the carne guisada. Don’t even get me started on that green salsa! I could eat it by the bucketfuls. Their customer service is on point which is sorely lacking for a good many food establishments in Hillsboro and Whitney. Come hungry and try a little of everything. You won’t be disappointed.

These guys are top notch. Exceptional service. Small wait, but totally worth it. By far the best carne asada fries I've had. The portions are epic.

Very small unassuming location this food was absolutely amazing!! The salsa, the street tacos, and the chips all clearly homemade! I will definitely be back

El Tacote is a hidden gem!!! Please give them a try, you won't be disappointed. I bought a mix of chicken and brisket burritos and tacos on the perfect corn tortilla with all the trimmings for lunch for my awesome framing crew. The food was outstanding and reasonably priced-the crew was very pleased also! Ms. Diana and the other staff were so professional, thoughtful, and kind. They even let me borrow their cooler to keep everything fresh-that extra step!I We will return and have been telling others. Thanks again!!!

Very small indoor seating, seemed the greatest part of the business was drive through/take out. The best quesadilla I've ever had!! Yum.

Very friendly people with good service. Queso with meat is delicious, weird flavor though.. maybe lime? Green sauce is one of the best i've ever had in my life. Cilantros across the city has a comparable sauce. I did not like the chicken tacos it was dry, the brisket was amazing though. The tortilla soup was ok. Most food desperately needed massive amounts of salt to taste anything.. as if it has not been seasoned with salt at all. Once I did salt the soup the flavor was a little flat, no real depth to the broth. Chicken once again was dry.

Drive thru was so slow and there was only 1 car in front. There are no menu's posted outside. Service is too slow and messy. My plate was given to me upside now. No sense of urgency, two people at registered talking to other clients looking at pictures.
