I love the app for letting me know what's new to try. I almost always get it right away to try. Also anytime half price drinks are the best you can't beat that.

So I was just there and ordered a bunch of sonic blasts and the bellhop was the sweetest and I did not catch their name... Manners where amazing I hope they see this and know even though we waited for a very long time we appreciate the good service.

It is our favorite place. The whole family like to come and enjoy the cheeseburgers with fries. I usually get the route 44 Coke with redbull. Recommended 100 %. Very fast service.

Occasional mix up on orders but quick response on the drive in. Great staff and clean facility.

The quality of the food has improved a bit. Service is great and employees always helpful and respectful. Has gotten better since you can receive the drinks at 1/2 price if using the app. Only suggestion would be if tha app would allow you to pay with cash upon arrival as well.

The food quality is average when compared to other Sonic restaurants, but the service is very slow and I'm never greeted with enthusiasm. Before I even finish giving my order, they are ready to hang up, and never do they recite back my order nor the total cost. Location is easy to get to and it's not usually busy, but again don't be surprised by the slow service.

Good food, excellent coffee, but lousy music ; it sound like somebody in pain no tone, just screams. What happen to the music?

Drink was wrong. The person taking order was confused and took a long time. Not very friendly staff. At least it looked clean.

Sonic was okay. We had ordered an extra long cheese coney but it came in 2 buns instead of 1 long bun, perhaps they were out. At any rate the food was okay and of course sonic drinks take the cake with their crushed ice!

The service was reasonably quick and the order correct, but the burgers were disappointing. I know these places cook them to "done", but ours were closer to desiccated. Usually I enjoy Sonic, but I'm disappointed to find this doesn't quite rise to the same level as others I've enjoyed across the nation.

This was mine and my family’s #1 go-to! Especially because the hours are a little later than most fast food restaurants in our small area. The online ordering through the app is pretty convenient, and I love that they always offer happy hour as long as you order through the app. The reason for the 3stars however is because it seems the waiting period for the mobile order(through app) has been getting longer and longer. Usually when I order online it’s due to the limited time frame I’m working with, so waiting another 20/30+ minutes only to have them apologize for “forgetting” to take the orders out not once but a handful of times is a little frustrating. If they sped things up a tad bit,and didn’t forget when we were at the stall waiting for our orders, I’d definitely move it up to a 4. 🙂👍🏼

The last few times we've been here there were issues when ordering ice cream. One time there were no spoons and I ordered a sundae. They brought it out and then apologized for not having spoons. It was completely melted by the time I got home and created quite the disaster in the car. The next time they barely put snickers into the blast. My main goal when getting Sonic's is getting to the ice cream so that was disappointing. Wait times seemed a bit long, but we got hot pretzels and food so that was worth waiting. **If you are concerned about servers wearing masks while serving/cooking your food then do NOT go here. Several of the servers don't wear masks 90% of the time or only pull them up when handing your food to you.

I use to love, Sonic but something has changed. The chilli cheese dogs aren't as good. The cheese is different and so is the hotdogs. And the prices have gone up.

Went specifically for a featured item: the ice cream sandwich and they were out. Also it took forever for just a cherry limeade. Sad

15 mins. To get a corn dog. There were only 5 customers there at the time. I asked for mayo when I ordered and did not get it. Ordered unsweet tea. I got sweet tea. And every time I have gotten cheese sticks I ask for marinara dip and always have ask again because they never bring it the first time.

We went to sonic today and ordered 2 large unsweet teas. About 25 to 30 minuets. My husband pushed the button again and they told us he had not placed an order. He told he had ordered two large teas and she told us they had not put it in.

Order was not completed correctly. 2 of the 5 meals had something wrong with the order. No condiments were offered or provided. Also 2 napkins were provided for 5 meals.The only reason for the 2 stars was that the food we did receive was hot and fresh.

Ate at this location a year ago and it was good, yesterday the tater tots were soggy as well as the cheese sticks were nasty tasted like the frying grease was old and burnt. The carhop had some questionable hygiene as well lots of dirt/grease under fingernails

Most of the stalls were not working so every time I drove up to one, I had to move to another. I did an online order for 2 burgers and a slush. It took over 10 minutes to bring our food. That was after I pressed the button and asked if my food was ready.

I've given this place several chances to prove me wrong, but this is the slowest "fast food" restaurant in town. Even the Mexican food place provides faster service . If you're wanting something quick, don't come here even if you're the only car. Even app orders are roughly 15 minutes waits.

Never seem to get online orders correct. Even simple drink order of 2 Dr pepper with easy ice. One was coke and both had more ice than a normal drink would have. And every time we stop here is passing through so by the time we realize the issue we are already out of town.

This will make the third or fourth time I’ve attempted to order a meal at this location. The lack of communication skills and lack of general knowledge of their own products possessed by the microphone operator is so overwhelming, I had no choice but to drive away again. These are day one words that most people do not have trouble understanding, but for some reason, some employees at this location, most certainly do not understand. It also seems to me that the price of everything keeps going up, while the customer service and ability to get me what I paid for, diminishes. I do not recommend stopping here unless you are ordering exactly what they offer. No changes whatsoever. They apparently cannot handle any additional information.

Everytime I go, something is wrong....shake machine broken, burnt food, cold food, order ahead on the app and it still takes 30 min to get my stuff, always out of something especially tea if it's after 9pm.

The worst service in Hondo! Called in an order, arrived 20 minutes later to pick it up, and sat in the parking lot over 20 minutes waiting for our order. When we buzzed the second time, about our order, we were told they were defrosting the burritos! It wasn't even busy. We ended up leaving.

These jokers forgot half the meal, all the sides, and a drink. Probably the worst SONIC in all of Texas service wise. I don’t know if it’s the waitresses can’t write, or the cooks are too lazy to make the rest, or management is too cheap to give people what they asked for, but something is going wrong here.

This location is horrible. They don't even know how to make a proper slushie. Everytime I've gotten one it's pure syrup with NO ice. I wasted $4 this morning on one and it just tasted like juice. I'll never return here again, maybe y'all should train with the Sonic in Castroville, at least they know how to make a proper drink.

Honestly idk who I spoke with this afternoon but it really inspired me to leave this review and hope the worst for this location. We found a deal saying the super crunch chicken strip dinner is now available ALL DAY, EVERYDAY. We called the manager to show her, and it was not showing when she came out. We once again found it and took a picture. Her co worker showed her the picture, and she refused to come outside. Very unprofessional, the least we expected was for it to be honored.

Went to this Sonic passing through town. Not impressed. They didn't have my Sonic fav the New York Dog even though its on the menu. Got a chili cheese Coney instead.Ultimate chicken sandwich my husband got was cold precooked. Never stopping here again. Very bad.

Went to get 2 Chili Footlong Combos, very little chili (less than half of normal amount) & tots where barely filled, service was way too slow, kept sending the car hop back to get what was missing- ketchup, plastic knife, receipt, took an 15 extra mins once I got my order to finally leave. Waited today for 10 minutes and they never took my order. There workers where outside and messing around on their trucks instead of working. This is the most disorganized Sonic I have ever been to. My local sonic has me in and out in under 10 minutes on a busy day, but this location never took my order. Do not come here if you don't plan on waiting 20 minutes for food.

I was just at Sonic in Hondo the 705 location and this chic ring my order up incorrectly and when I asked her the prove for a from she said 7.00 . I don't know any Sonic thst has a drink for 7.00 , so i.asked one of the workers to let me speak with the manager as she opened the door speaking with them , the manager rudely said he busy, and the worker said it also. So I replied I'll take my business else where. Where do you guys have unconcerned and rude folks working for Sonic. They just proved to me they don't like there job

The Sonic in Hondo, Texas is horrible. Staff was impatient because their machine must’ve had a poor microphone. The guy loudly sighed “oh my gosh”. Fix your machine up, instead of getting frustrated with your consumers. This completely ruined my day. You have a job to do and being respectful should be a known trait. You’re dealing with many customers throughout the day and it might be their first time and you might’ve ruined it for them. Shake my head on this place, get new staff ASAP!

Ordered 2 drinks, slushes, but instead of receiving limeade drink (which is green in color, I got a red drink. Waitress was adamant it was the correct drink but after some discussion I got the right drink.

Took 15 minutes to get the person taking our order to understand what we ordered. 4 super Sonic double cheeseburgers. That's it. Get home and the order still wasn't right.

Make sure to pay with exact change. Kadejha served us and kept our change after we paid. This is not the first time nor is this the first employee at this location to do this.

May 7, 2021, stopped for a drink and ice cream at 6:00pm. Sat for 20 minutes waiting and was ignored. Bad customer service. One employee was too busy petting a dog outside. Will not be back to this location.

There were so many errors to mine and my boyfriend's orders. There was no relish on my All-American dog, wings were hard and tasted old, the breakfast burrito had way too much salt, fries were given instead of tater tots and they were cold, no mints in the bags. This was pretty disappointing considering there were only 2 other customers there at the time.

I ordered the bacon sonic burger. About halfway through, I took a bite and there was hair! Looking at the burger there it wasnt just a hair, it was a glob of hair!! It had to have been dropped on the floor with the amount of hair in there. I looked at the tots I ordered and there was hair in there as well. How does that even happen?! Disgusting!!

Ordered on the mobile app yesterday at 7:26 pm while picking up food down the street. Arrived at Sonic and I am not sure what time we got our food. We drove to the next town over where we live, dropped off the food to our girls. My husband and I went out and my daughter texted me at 8:54 that my 4 year old daughter’s hotdog was grey. My 4 year old eats slow and she doesn’t know that a hotdog shouldn’t be grey. I called Sonic at 8:59 pm and the nice young man took my info and said he’d let his GM know. I stopped by tonight to get the hotdogs replaced and he said his GM said because it took me 2 hours to call there was nothing that could be done. This is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! We do not live in Hondo and can be home within a few minutes. My 4 year old didn’t know to say something about her hotdog. We ordered another hotdog and my daughter said it was grey too. It didn’t even take me 2 hours to call and let them know about the hotdogs. We will not ever go back to this Sonic. We’ll drive to Castroville or Uvalde before going back.

The woman said there was no happy hour which everybody knows happy hour is from 8-11 and also 2-5 pm. That wasn't even the problem she kept swiping my card and charged at least 3 fees on my card and when I called I simply asked for my money back and she REFUSED. I didn't catch her name but she works morning shifts. This is the worst Sonid I've ever been to. I'll stick with going to lytle and Devine sonic.

We stopped to eat at the Sonic in Hondo worst place ever to eat don't spend money at this eatery. ..the root beer float was..we'll the root beer was flat the soft serve ice cream not cold had a sour taste to it my sister ordered a foot long coney and ate a fourth hot dog was gross rubbery and cold my mom's Hamburger was served cold if your employees don't want to work the holidays it was 4th of July also staff told us he could not give us our monies back he had a wife two kids and he would be fired they asked if they could offer to remake the food but the 2 ND shake tasted sour and soft serve was warm they would not give us a refund we left dissatisfied and hungry if your employees don't want to work holidays the owner should be closed will be following up with the health dept and employees should not be afraid of getting fired...if we could rate it a zero we would.

Very recently I visited this location, and can honestly say I've never seen a location that is worse. We ordered only two drinks. A sugar free mango slush and a coke slush. We asked for both to have real cherries added. They came out wrong or poorly prepared. My coke had very little flavor and no cherries. I called for the server to come and get it so it could be fixed. While this was happening my wife realized her slush was also incorrect. They had made hers with cherry flavor. I never saw mine again. Hers came out with 1 cherry and no flavor. We asked to speak to the manager and I can honestly say she was the rudest person I've ever seen in food service. She interrupted when my wife tried to explain the issue. She continuously interrupted. When my wife asked if she could explain the issue the manager rolled her eyes and said "what?". I know my wife started to raise her voice, but the manager was combative and clearly escalated the situation. It was not pretty. Especially when she threatened to call the cops on us. There was absolutely no reason for this. It was a pure threat tactic. Here is the takeaway. 1. The sugar free mango is not sugar free. Diabetics beware. 2. They can't guarantee a Coke slushie will taste like Coke. People who enjoy flavor beware. 3. Real cherries are a precious commodity, and should not be expected to be included if ordered. 4. If you complain you may have the cops called on you. 5. If you say thank you as you're leaving the manager will say f*ck you in return. 6. With my status as a local guide I can say that I have now visited the worst Sonic in Texas. You can take it for what it's worth, but I would take your money elsewhere. I hope the franchise owner reads this and knows the type of service their employees are offering. Buyer beware.

I love sonic. I just think this one could be better. I waited 20 minutes or longer on my order, & when it finally got to me my food was cold rather than hot like it should have been. My fries & burgers were not hot when the food came to me. The pricing was pretty reasonable. But I hate cold food! Employee working there that brought me my food probably spends more time giggling then anything else! & does not take the customers all that seriously.

The past few months, this store’s performance has gone down. Ive had several orders take forever to come out or they come out quickly but are missing items or given the wrong order. Every time ive brought up these issues, the carhops are rude and disinterested in fixing the problem. I try to be understanding about these things but this has gone on way too much. Being in the food industry myself, i understand if the workers are overwhelmed or understaffed, but if this is going on for months, this is unacceptable. Management needs to train their carhops to how to be sincere and work on double checking orders.
