DeeDee was spectacular; she went above and beyond by making some cocktail sauce from the on-hand ingredients since they don't have cocktail sauce instead of just telling me they didn't have it. We got seated quickly and the food came out fairly quickly for how busy the restaurant is. The Reuben with Onion Rings was just right and my companion's Open Face Turkey sandwich looked good with the side of mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce looked tasty and was truly enjoyed.

We just ate a late Breakfast today Tony was our server. He was very friendly, quickly greeted us, food came out fresh and hot. Tony checked on us multiple times. I cant express what great service we experienced today. Black bear thank you and Tony for the wonderful breakfast

I finally was able to make it to eat my free "Birthday Breakfast." This was my first visit. Drew, greeted me with a warm smile and helped navigate through the menu. I had time to read the entire history as stated on the menu. I was truly pleased with the exceptional service and food. Little did Drew know he touched my heart. As I finished I was headed to the hospital to visit my spouse who is an "Incomplete Quadriplegic." I entered his room smiling and telling him how Drew put some joy back into my heart by his acts of kindness.

This is one of our favorite breakfast spots! The staff are always so friendly. The food is phenomenal every time. The service is quick. And you can’t come without getting their fresh OJ! We had Ebony as our server this morning and she is so kind! We will be back soon!

Tiara was amazing. She has the cutest personality and that helps her connect with the customer. At least with my husband and I. We will be returning and asking for her every time!

Today's experience at the black bear establishment in Cypress TX was nothing short of incredible. Often times when you go to establishments for breakfast, lunch or dinner great customer service can feel like a dying art. Not only was our food and dining experience great our waitress Jody had a great sense of humor and made our trip to black bear a pleasant one. We highly recommend Black Bear and ask for Jody!

Ebony was an amazing server, very friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great personality! The food was also really good - definitely get a bang for your buck. My family of four had breakfast and everything was cooked perfectly, the bread pudding french toast was really good, and spent under $100 for our big order with add ons from the side menu too. Highly recommend!

Ebony was fantastic, so friendly and had a great personality while providing excellent service. We’ll be back because of her. Food was great, portion sizing was huge especially for the price. The biscuits and gravy and spicy sausage patties were the best!!

I brought the family out for breakfast and Zadi made it a fantastic experience! She was very attentive to my wife and my daughters and we just had a wonderful experience because of her service. This is what dining out should always be like and we will definitely be back to Zadi's section!

Stopped by for breakfast before we hit the road. Our waiter, Drew was amazing! He greeted us with a big warm smile and was very attentive to all of our needs/requests. The food was excellent and great portions! Highly recommend!

The banana pudding French toast was delicious and my mini volcano was gigantic lol I only ate one pancake so I have to remember their pancakes are huge lol The staff is amazing and always made sure my coffee cup was filled and provided me hazelnut creamer. I love those details where they make sure you’re happy. I will say be prepared to wait for a table if you go right at lunchtime. It’s worth it.

The breakfast brought to us by the amazing DeeDee was delicious and scrumptious. Dee Dee and the exceptional service surpassed all expectations for this restaurant. All restaurants need a Dee Dee in their staff because she’s the epitome of southern hospitality. Definitely will be back just for her.!

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast with my husband on a Monday morning. We had Jodie as our server, and she was very attentive and accommodating. The portion sizes were huge and the taste was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Service was beyond expectations, Ebony was awesome her fried chicken is a must try with her special sauce. Don’t for get the mimosa flight it was everything.

This was my 1st time visit on 08/15/25. I went early on Friday morning around 730am. Sat immediately although the Hostess walked way a head, dropped the menu on the table and spoke over her shoulder as she walked away "server will be with you". The waiter wasnt the friendliest to start, but he gradually warmed up and hit all service points. Coffee was good which is hard to find at breakfast restaurants. The food was warm. It was platted nicely. It all tasted great. The spicy sausage patties were my favorite! Overall great experience and will return.

First time at Black Bear & we were not disappointed. We came on a Sunday so there was a bit of a wait, of course. We opted to sit at the bar which was offered by the server and was immediately say. Ebony was our server and was super friendly & kind. She gave us suggestions from the secret menu and which was fried chicken & waffles. I gave it a try and I would say it’s one of the best I’ve had. The sauce on the chicken was delicious and gave it that sweet and savoriness.

Great breakfast. The chicken fried steak and eggs was great. Jody was our server and was very attentive. All of our food was really good. Pancakes were probably the best I've ever had. Chicken sausage was moist and delicious. The biscuit was ginormous and super tasty. The Grits were also fantastic.

What an awesome gem! The food is delicious and the staff is so friendly! I had my car serviced at the Tesla service center, I was so hungry and this place rescued me! I highly recommend it! Thank you!

My mom took me out for lunch. Oh my yummy! I had the classic burger and fries! Fresh everything! So good! My mom had the pancakes with sweet cream and strawberries and blueberries. Oh my gosh, soooo good. Excellent customer service and the restaurant was super clean and had a good, light vibe.

I came here with my family, famished, after my graduation and the food was so good. The pancakes were perfectly fluffy and eggs were yummy. The mashed potatoes w/ brown gravy and burger were REALLY good as well. Not only that, but our server Gretchen was amazing! She had good energy, was very friendly, and super attentive. The rest of the staff were super kind as well. Definitely coming back here again! 🐻👍

From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Tiara was our server was attentive without being overbearing, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu. They checked in at just the right times, which really elevated the whole dining experience. The food was equally impressive. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and everything came out at the perfect temperature. Highlights for me were the Sweet Cream Waffle & the Chicken Fried Steak, but honestly, everything we ordered was excellent. Overall, it was one of those rare meals where both the service and the food were truly top-notch. I’d highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be coming back!

Our waitress, Jody, made us feel very welcomed. Her help with making arrangements for a friend group birthday celebration was so kind and accommodating. She was very attentive and had a sweet spirit.

The restaurant wasn’t even packed and me and my husband was ignored even after being seated for 10 minutes. We left and came to this restaurant. It was busy but we were seated immediately. The restaurant was packed but people were being served and taken care of. Our waiter was absolutely amazing the older gentleman really turned our day around. In March, the AC should not be set for July ! Other than that, we highly recommend! We travel so I appreciate all the locations! Oatmeal, omelettes, breakfast sandwiches are all delicious. Look up Elvis oatmeal and serve that too.... chocolate chips and banana I think....maybe peanut butter.

The pancakes were amazing! Bacon was good, the sausage was okay. Hashbrowns could have been cooked longer... service was a bit slow, but it was Sunday brunch time, so I can understand that. Definitely would go back.

1st time at this location. Clean, and friendly staff. Now they were short staffed so I had my side while I waited for my sandwich, so i took it to go when it came. I was told there was 1 cook and the manager had to help cook. Wasn't many people but the food was very slow coming out. But everything did taste good.

First time at this location but satisfied as always. Came in late morning but they have a large dining area so there was plenty of seating. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast and The Grizz with French Toast. If you have not experienced them, Black Bear Diner is a must.

Food: The food was really good at this location. Everything was fresh and well flavored. Super impressed compared to other locations. Service: the servers here are really good but too overworked. They have great humor but wear too many hats. The manager woman was doing nothing while her servers were waiting tables, busting tables and cleaning. She needs more staff and she needs to do some work herself. Atmosphere: because of the work being done by a handful of people, the tables were dirty. Seems like the servers were just trying to juggle too much. It's cute in there, but having dirty tables is noy great. Overall, I would recommend this location

The food and presentation were great. I loved that everything was fresh, including the fruit. Service could have been better. I was offered a drink on my way out because our waitress realized we had been waiting a while for her return to ask if we needed anything else after bringing our food to the table. It took a while after we were done eating to get her attention to ask for our check.

Paid the same price yet this is what I get. Clearly they’re using less eggs yet making us pay the same price without telling us they are doing shrinking of items Then I tried their pot roast and it was BEYOND DRY!!!! I’ve never seen a place put so little gravy. It was tender but not enjoyable because it was too dry to eat and unless you have access to make more gravy. It’s not worth the price at all. I am surprised this place has a 4.6 starts, First time i came here with my wife, looking forward to the place to see if it was all talk or not. Got seated at a table so dirty, food on the floor and table. Looking around us like this can't be our table. The waiter told us here it is and left, Took 7 minutes to get someone to clean the place. we would of left but my wife told me to give it one more chance, So I did. Food came and it was horrible, under cook for my wife and over cooked on mine. The cheese looked so old and it was hard as a rock. The drinks tasted horrible, it seems like they probably never get there drinks cleaned. There is mold all over the ceiling along with water damage. The place smells horrible. Don't even get me started on my wife food, The food was raw doe. I highly recommend not to come here. I'm surly will never come back.

I ordered the pot roast dinner and chicken fried steak dinner. The amount of pot roast i got honestly would NOT fill the palm of me hand. Mashed potatoes were a single ice cream scoop size. The chicken fried steak was 4 inches in diameter. I measured it and again a scoop of potatoes. I USED to love black bear but for $40 I expected a little more. I called and manager never came to the phone. I let is set listening the the good Ole food black bear dinner song for 20 minutes. Will be my last time ordering food here.

We had a bad experience with the food a previous time but after a while we thought we would try again. I ordered to go for us and the entire order was wrong or missing items, but the quality was lacking yet again. We ordered The Grizz ($18.79) which is the biggest most expensive breakfast as it feeds us both easily. I also ordered the biscuits and gravy on the side. ($7.09) Pictured you’ll see I was missing the loaded hash browns (extra $2.39) the eggs were cold and cheese hardened.(extra $1.19 for cheese) Never even got the pancakes. It was missing a sausage. Then the biscuits and gravy. There was like 2 small spoonfuls of gravy in this tiny container which seemed like it was sitting out for quite some time as it was lumpy and had no flavor at all. Very very disappointed. I’d expect more than all of this for almost $40 for breakfast. Shameful. The only thing edible was the cinnamon roll French toast my kiddo ordered ($12.79) but came with one to go packet of syrup that is 1.4oz for 3 pieces of French toast.
