Piper's Cantina Houston Reviews
Highly recommend Piper’s Cantina in Houston! Love there’s a drive-thru makes stopping for breakfast tacos that much easier. Once the weather warms up I’ll be back on the cute patio. My daughter enjoyed the awesome playground (which is rare to find) entertainment for the little ones without going to a fast food joint play area. I recommend the beef quesadilla with an extra green sauce DELICIOUS! Check it out show them some love.🌮
If you’re just passing through or live here, the food was great! The hammocks to swing in add a nice touch of comfort while the kids play. There was one lady in there working and she did such a great job getting out our food quickly. Will definitely return.
I stopped by for a breakfast taco and the staff treated me with kindness. They made a few suggestions and my food was prepared in a timely manner. I could tell the tortilla was homemade, and the taco itself was delicious. I'll definitely be back to try more things on the menu.
Came out to try Piper ‘s Cantina and here’s what I thought. This place is really good, don’t be fooled by any other meat that’s passed of as fajitas. This place has skirt steak fajitas! Homemade tortillas made fresh to order, flour or corn. Margaritas are fantastic and made with tequila, no wine based margs here. Can’t go wrong with great aesthetics if you’re looking to post pics to the FB, Instagram or any other social media platform. Even better, you can stop by for breakfast and either walk up or go through the drive thru! And if you have time? Feel free to sit outside in one of the swings or step inside and watch the kitchen at work!! I know PHG will do great with this just like they did/do with the others! Can’t wait to go back.
Piper’s has solid food at good prices. To me it is much more a place to come hang out and have some drinks. It’s so worth taking the kids here. The staff is so kind. They have a playground, which is rare in these areas. The kids plate is a good deal and a lot of food. The tacos are good too. However, the atmosphere is great for kids.
I came here to eat breakfast and I love there breakfast tacos definitely coming back with my whole family great hospitality and amazing patio for my kids
This was truly an interesting and amazing place to come to for lunch. I brought me and my son here to give this place a try and they exceeded my expectations.

I absolutely love this place! I am a burria fanatic and theirs is soooo good! My husband and I stop by at least once a week to grab lunch or a quick dinner. Tortillas are made to order so they are always fresh & warm. The frozen margarita is my favorite but I’ve also had the one on the rocks and it hits the spot too. My husband swears by their quesadillas. There isn’t much inside seating but the patio absolutely makes up for it! They also have a playground for the kiddos. We were so excited for Piper’s Cantina to open and it definitely did not disappoint!
Original plan was to hit Karbach but it was CRAZY packed, so that didn't work out. Thankfully we came across Piper's Cantina! I had no idea it was here. Perfect atmosphere. Plenty of parking and seating for adults and kids. Perfect portions and prices. Definitely will return !
The food was really good! The hot green sauce was just right, not too spicy but not too tame. On top of that, the service was excellent! It did not take long for my food to be ready. The atmosphere was excellent too. I loved all the designs they have there, but wished there was a bigger indoor area. However, I will come back soon!
10/10 would recommend. The food was a little pricey, and it took a while to get food because there was only one person working. The food was absolutely delicious. The reason we will be going back was the atmosphere. It was a gorgeous night and we sat for hours in the hammock chairs. Our kids played on the playground and watched the trains go by. It was an incredibly relaxing evening out which is hard to achieve with 4 kids.
The beef fajita taco at Piper's Cantina is a solid choice. The beef was tender and flavorful, with a nice spicy kick from the green salsa. The toppings were fresh and plentiful, and the tortillas were soft and pliable. Overall, it was a satisfying and enjoyable taco.
I recently visited Piper’s Cantina, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with a great mix of lively decor and friendly service. The staff was attentive and made me feel right at home. I tried the beef fajita taco and it was amazing.
(Preface: not a lot of indoor seating but a beautiful patio in a side of town that needs the revitalization! ) Stopped by Pipers for lunch and had the Al Pastor Tacos and a chicken taco. $27 for two orders and some Jaritos. The lady working the front was super friendly and came by to ask how we liked everything. It is only a few days old but a needed good spot to eat for the NW side in spring branch. I hope they can stay open and keep serving our community!
This place is great. I miss the one on Shepard that was great also. The burgers were awesome. The service was good and tacos tasty. Stop by

We had an amazing birthday party dinner!! The food was delicious. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The most fun we have had out with the family in a ling

Nice patio dining. The Mexican 🌮🌯 food restaurant has not been here too long. The beef tacos were really good? The service was great and the associate was super friendly. The restaurant looked clean and organized. The family has returned for quesadillas twice since we first discovered it. If you want it then you had better enjoy it while you can because I have been told that the restaurant it converting to a hamburger cafe real soon.
I heard about Piper’s cantina so I came out with my family to give it a try! We ordered the quesibirria, a torta and the milanesa. On first impression, the food is good but not great. My only complaint is that the milanesa was soaked in grease when it came out and it came out pretty bland. For the price I expected the food to came out with better flavor. The service was friendly and we received the food pretty quickly. I will add that seating is limited, especially inside. Would I come back? Probably not, just because the cost of getting the 4 items was not worth the taste. I would definitely say it’s one of those places you come one time to try out and that’s it.

I got two flour tortilla chicken tacos with rice and refried beans. Everything was really fresh and really good. The only thing I have a problem with is the refried beans add a texture like they were made in a blender. The flavor was good though. I will definitely be back! They are the star in the middle of a bunch of horrible food options. I work in the middle of a good food desert.
The restaurant features a drive-through and a patio area so it’s basically take away. It’s neither brilliant nor is it horrible. It’s just average there too. Many restaurants in the city are settle for average but on upside plentiful parking great location really nicely done. Patio service is good. In the end above average service average food. No vegan options whatsoever. Flexitarian friend enjoyed the chicken Taco . Asked would she come back she shrugged. My thoughts exactly.

Patio is nice when it's not too hot. Food is overpriced for what you get. Food trucks and local taquerias offer the same menu with the same quality but better pricing.
I ordered the quesabirria tacos with consommé and 3 chicken fajita tacos through uber eats for here. When I pulled up, I see two people in the inside and one is cleaning a substantial amount of water across the floor, like they were closing. To my surprise, they were open and my food still wasn’t ready though the app said it was. Had me concerned for cleanliness and safety of my food. The quesabirria tacos are like $17, you get three. The birria meat was over cooked, extremely greasy, and burned and the meat that was in the tacos was all fat. It would’ve been tasty had it not been for the above. The chicken fajita tacos are almost $4 and they’re pretty small. The lady also rolled the tacos as if they were a taquito making it look even more unappealing. Even less fulfilling. I then ordered some chips and salsa because the chicken tacos were just not going to be enough for my bf. He said the salsa was not good and too sweet. Chips were decent but it’s just chips. The atmosphere of the outdoor space made me want to try it. The whole concept is nice! But I definitely wouldn’t eat here again

I really wanted to like this place, because of the playground and relatively cute patio area (this is clearly an old Sonic converted to a quick order taco place). However, these were some of the worst tacos I’ve ever had in Houston. Terrible dry tortillas and plain meat, nothing else on the taco. You simply can’t serve subpar Mexican food in Houston with all the amazing options we have. My 2 year old toddler could barely get any down. If this place is going to stay in business the food has to improve significantly as the location is less than ideal with a loud busy street behind it. The playground area is also not safe for toddlers / kids as there isn’t a proper fence or barrier along the perimeter and very easy for a child to cross. I’m surprised the owners own Preslees and other restaurants.
