Sweet Spot Houston Reviews
My husband and I met the owner at HEB and she asked if we would visit her restaurant sometime. We love to support local businesses, so today we tried Sweet Spot. We had the salmon special for lunch and s'mores gelato for our dessert. Both the entree and the gelato were so good! Next time we will try the cheese enchiladas. The restroom was also sparkling clean. The only suggestion I have is to feature bit more chocolate in the candy area. There are lots of other candies, like kosher gummies. For chocolate lovers like myself, I'd love to see a few more choices. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back for more.
My family and I love The Sweet Spot! The service is friendly and helpful, the selection is beautiful, and most importantly the sweet and savory food is all delicious! They offer beautiful, customizable gifts and a wide variety of fresh made options. Such a special local spot with something for everyone.
We enjoyed our first visit to a new place to get coffee and many different kinds of sweets. Candy, gelato, baked goods, crepes, waffles...you name it. Very nice people that know how to make a great hot cappucino and a frozen blended coffee concoction, cafe frappe, espresso, mocha caramel, blended with ice topped with whipped cream...wifey skipped the whipped and had them go light on anything that added to sweetness....she loved what they came up with. I enjoyed a couple of unneeded cookies, buy two and get a third free....our granddaughter is getting the third one.
Great place, opens late, they have Lavazza coffee and Gelato. We tried Pistachio Halva, to me it was better than the Pistachio Extra. Also stratachelini.
Fantastic place! The gelato is delicious and the candy wall is impressive! Great staff and very friendly. We highly recommend! Looking forward to the next time we visit to try their coffee and breakfast.
We stopped by for a preview of the candy and coffee, and it was really great. Can’t wait for the gelato and all desserts to be fully up and running. It was a really beautiful store, and we also had a custom ‘nut free’ candy board made for a gift, it was really easy to order, thanks!
Walking in here I felt like a kid in a candy shop. The decision-making process felt a little bit overwhelming, but Ricardo was so helpful! He gave me a little tour and explanation of their offerings and was very knowledgeable, telling me about his personal favorites. I got the Affogato with Biscoff Butter Cookie gelato. What a treat! I will definitely come back to try more soon. Highly recommend this little gem.
Large selection of candy! Staff was incredibly friendly. I sampled a bunch of their gelatos. I ended up getting an espresso one and was impressed with the quality and taste. Highly recommend.
Food is amazing without exception. We tried many menu items. Delicious panini! Huevos rancheros, and more. All fresh and perfect. YUM! 4+ stores in one: Candy, Gelato, Lavazza Cafe, Crepes and Waffles, breakfast croissants, quiches, paninis, smoothies.
They have the sweetest staff and everything is delicious. they have a large variety of sweets , food , coffee and desserts!
Great place, delicious things. Friendly staff. Nice place to hang out, use Wi-Fi, or just pass through and get something to go. We stayed a while and tried the matcha, fogata, gelato.. enchiladas. Everything was great, I look forward to going back. G.d bless.

Great coffee and gelato! I especially like that their dairy free options include more than just sorbet. Their crepes are delicious, but too much sugar for one person alone. Savory options include delicious sandwiches. There's also a whole candy wall!
Hands down the best gelato around! Incredible flavors, great texture, and wonderful service. A must-visit if you’re in the area.
This is the best kosher place in Houston. Every time I’m here their menu is expanded. We love the gelato and all the Mexican food. It feels like real authentic Mexican cuisine!! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner so it is a must if you’re in the area, anytime of day!
BEST place for lunch or a quick treat. Highly recommend! Excellent service, always with a smile. Loved the churros, the lotus blast, pistachio latte , everything is so so so good! Ask for the tortilla soup, best soup i ever had. No joke. 😀

Loved their flautas and their hot chocolate! Everything was so organized and clean, such a cute place and nice staff! 10/10 recommend!!
I had a great experience at Sweet Spot Cafe. Service is great and everything is delicious! I love their biscoff gelato and their ceviche tostadas 😁😄

This was a quick stop for my family's annual first day of school ice cream meet up! We had no idea it was there. Super cute inside. They have dairy and non-dairy options which was great. My family had 4 ice cream cones and a bag of bulk (by the ppund) gummy candy. My total was $35 which wasn't bad. Clean restroom. I guess my only "complaints" were (1) the non-dairy was so hard the lady ended up piling chunks of ice cream in my cone, (2)The cone wasn't good at all, and (3) they weren't able to take regular cards so I had to Zelle a QR Code. Not really big deals... I'll choose a cup next time but We will visit again.

I ordered the salmon croissant with tater tots and a lemon lime frozen ice. Everything tasted good and was flavorful. The croissant was buttery and the salmon paired well with it. That said, the tater tots were very small, almost bite sized, and the overall portion felt light for the price. At $23, it seemed a little expensive for what you get. Good flavors, but the value did not quite match the cost for me.
I don’t like leaving negative comments, but when I order a Nutella crepe, I expect just that—crepe and Nutella. Unexpected fruit inside was disappointing one of my kids refused to eat it . Also, pairing a hot crepe with whipped cream in a to-go container doesn’t work well—the result is a soggy crepe floating in a pool of melted cream. Please consider revisiting how it’s packaged.

Everything is expensive. The owner say the food is authentic, but that’s a damn lie. I had got some nachos cause he said it was authentic but it taste like the nacho cheese that come out the gas station machine and He lied and said that the fish tacos are red fish, but it’s tilapia. The pastries are old and stale it’s like chewing on bricks NEVER AGAIN 🙅🏼🙅🏼🙅🏼
I came with my toddler after a pretty difficult doctors visit. Of course the people there wouldn’t have known that but holy crap they made my day go from bad to worse. Older lady has absolutely horrible customer service, attitude, and she seemed annoyed that it was my first time there and didn’t know what or how I was ordering. After I ordered I came back up to get some ice cream and her and another gentleman were talking amongst themselves while I was waiting with my unruly toddler. I tipped 10%. Idc, she sucked. And I hear the lady say to a young girl that was getting the ice cream “don’t fill it up all the way” because i didn’t tip well on the already rude service. When she came by to drop off the ice cream I gave the nice girl a cash tip and left. (The girl that got the ice cream ended up filling it up all the way and was actually very sweet). Chilaquiles were actually not bad, but my god the older lady’s aura was so negative rude and bad I had to get out of there. First time and last. Doesn’t matter how good the food is, places like this don’t last because of their terrible customer service.
