One of my favorite places in the Valley. Amazing food, amazing service. Ana make our friends reunion just perfect. Food on time, beverages on time. Even the little details like extra sauce and refills without asking. Definitively a 10 of 10!

I really enjoy eating at Famous Dave's. Besides offering delicious food, especially the ribs, the venue is very nice and the staff are extremely friendly and attentive. Our server was Oscar who had provided EXCELLENT service!! Unlike most servers, he made sure we understood the menu and offered excellent suggestions. He got busy but continued to make sure that my girl friend and I were well taken care of. I would highly recommend dining at this restaurant.

Visited this area on work notice. It was time for dinner and decided i would do a take out and eat back at the hotel. Boy was the brisket tender & juicy. Ribs amazing flavor and portion size of serving was more then bargained for.

I went to celebrate a birthday with my friend on Saturday and we had the most helpful, Nice waitress. I came to leave a review because it seems like it rarely happens nowadays. From ordering and answering our questions, making sure we had everything we need before the meal came and swinging by to ask if we wanted refills. Just so attentive and friendly. I remembered her name Vanessa, because I knew I would leave a review. She deserves the recognition and the food was great too!

Highly recommend the server, Famous Vanessa. Every time I go she never fails to give her all and give the best service. I love how she remembers my order every time without me even telling her lol. All around great service and food. Will be definitely coming back again with my family!

Ordered to-go from Famous Dave’s in El Centro and had a great experience. The food was delicious and packed well. Staff were friendly and efficient when I picked up my order. The location is convenient, close to my hotel and right near the shopping mall and shopping strip, which makes it easy to stop by. Nice, upscale area and a solid choice if you’re craving good BBQ.

I had a really great meal. I had the three item plate with an additional item for $6. I had brisket, ribs, hot link sausage, and bbq chicken. It came with a cornbread muffin and one side. I chose french fries (wedge style). After dinner I had the brownie and ice cream desert. My friend had a similar meal but with catfish. This meal was really good and the service was also good. Update: I'm not changing the stars but I was disappointed on my last visit. I ordered a burger medium and it came out like charcoal. Medium is light pink in the middle. They took the burger off my bill and they were friendly about everything. I was told they have to cook well done which might be a company policy OR it could be a cook that hasn't a clue how to cook medium. It's not only this restaurant. I don't know if it's a regional custom or not but so many places literally burn the burger and for egg dishes burn the eggs. Stop overcooking food.

The service was incredibly good the person who Help us was a young woman vania with good advice to choose the fooa I am planing to eat more frenquency.

Service was great! Vanessa was attentive and polite. Not alot of people, 5 people total inside at 3pm. Food tasted as if it was warmed up in a microwave and the plates felt as if they were. Brisket was good, like BBQ. Ground pork as well but alot of sauce for cubed pork bites. Rib tips were good just alot of seasoning and fat cap not alot of meat. Good for the cost and service was great but it would be last on the list since it's no wait, just gotta wait for the front desk to seat you.

The place was warm and welcoming and in good ambience. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was warm enough to eat but not hot enough to burn your tongue. The drinks are always being refilled and cold. Overall it was a nice experience even if the food was only ok flavor and taste wise.

Cannot go wrong with this barbeque joint! Service is friendly. Plenty of beers on tap, even tecate which is not that common amazingly! The food is pretty outstanding. Had the bin lid platter for four people, it was huge! The ribs are incredible. And everything else was pretty damn good too. Enjoy.

I had two very nice dinners here, partly because the service was so warm and friendly. On the second visit I was a little surprised to find a bartender who didn't know how to make a martini--and made mine dirty, which was fine but not what I ordered. (Actually, it was pretty good, and I told her so.) Ribs were good. The steak was decent, but not up to the same level.

Typical chain restaurant. Mediocre atmosphere and large portions of food that were okay but not spectacular. Service was good. By default, they put cheese on the BBQ chicken sandwich. I thought that was weird, but I'm from Texas and have pretty set ways regarding BBQ. Prices are high for what you get. Gave most of it to my dog.

I went there at lunch time. Service was really good. The food is ... Let me explain. 2 of the 3 items were fantastic! 1 item I didn't like at all. The server noticed and asked about it, and I told them that I just didn't like it. Within 2 minutes Jesus Serrano the GM was at my table. We had a conversation and he was genuinely asking questions about why I didn't like that item. He asked me what specifically I didn't like about the item, was it the texture, temperature, the presentation, taste etc. Then we talked for a minute about different types of food we both enjoyed. That is a good GM they have! I will return in the future.

1 lb smoked ribeye. Couldn't finish the MF. But soooo good. I'll have leftovers for a bit. I'd dance a jig, but I can't lift one leg. If I tried, I'd tip over. Also, I've been drinking.

Frankly I didn't like the brisket and the pork rubs were dry and chewy. The bbq sauces are all really sweet. Best thing was garlic mashed potatoes. No I won't go back to this chain. Find a local specialty restaurant instead.

As I entered, I was immediately greeted and seated. I was looking to try to fried chicken with barbecue but they were out. I opted for the chopped pork. I was hoping for something juicier but overall tasty. If you had to put a sauce on it, I'd recommend the Devil Spit: wonderfully smokey with just a kick of heat. I chose the mac'n'cheese as my side. I was informed there was jalapeño in it but did not expect there was also corn. It a decent but had it a better cheese crust on top, it really would've been better. Overall, it was a great deal for quality barbecue. Crystal was my server and was very friendly. She seemed to be very on top of her whole section, checking in to make sure all her tables were doing well.

Awful: some of the worst boneless wings I've ever had. School cafeteria bad. Onion straws were limp, greasy, and unsalted. Gag. Decent/Good: really weird fries that were surprisingly yummy. Chicken strips were solid. Brisket sliders were good (but nothing to write home about). Decent margarita. Good happy hour prices.

The food was delicious. We ordered the family platter for two to three. It comes with pork ribs, half a chicken, potato wedges, pulled pork, sweet baked beans and corn on the cob. Problem was that the waitress only came back to the table every 10 minutes, so I couldn't get a chance to tell her my coke was flat. I had to tell the person that brought our food to tell her. She finally brings another coke which was also flat. Their coke machine was obviously not working properly. Such a shame that a restaurant that serves such good food could have something so simple like a coke ruin your family dinner. I would give this place another shot, but if I get another flat coke, I walk right out.

The burger that I ordered was very good. For the side, I order mashed potatoes. The problem here was that they didn't have mashed potatoes. Without asking, they gave me potatoes wedges. I would've like to have my opinions to choose.

I ordered a lunch special,chili and baked potatoe. The chili was good but tasted like it was a little on the old side. The pork sandwich my spouse ordered was decent. The chili and fries weren't as hot as I would have liked. Their restroom however, was disgustingly filthy, it stunk in both men's and women's bathrooms. permeating the space outside the restrooms. The counters around the sinks were covered in dust. Seriously,I am not in favor of returning there because of the restrooms. It makes me think that the kitchen must be dirtier

The food was pretty good but pretty expensive for the amount of meat you get. I got the 2 meat combo with chopped pork, brisket, collard greens and steamed broccoli. It came with 3 pieces of brisket and a decent amount of pork, the brisket was good but had a weird texture to it and was kinda dry. The pork was delicious and probably my favorite part. Collards were alright, for whatever reason they didn't drain them so there was a bowl half full of liquid when I finished them. The broccoli still tasted raw but the cornbread muffin was very good. I would eat here again just wouldn't get the brisket again which is a bit weird to say about a BBQ place.

Food is good but expensive for what it is. Had a bad experience with curbside pickup where we got home and realized we didn't get all our food. Then drive 30 minute round trip to pick up the food we should have received. The food was good though but again expensive for what it is.

I ordered the loaded BBQ brisket potato, and it was delicious! However, we also ordered the 3 meat combo with turkey, brisket, and Buffalo boneless wings, which was not so good. The brisket was tender but extremely salty! The turkey was not bad, but the plating was a horrible idea. The brisket and turkey were placed on top of toast, which made the toast soggy and unedible. The wings were tasty but scarce on meat.

Life is too short to eat bad bbq. When you have staff walking around wearing shirts with this phrase on the back, you need to live up to it. Maybe I caught them on an off night. But it was, in fact, bad bar-b-q. The chopped pork was so salty I couldn't finish it. And you can see from my picture it wasn't a huge serving. The cole slaw was bland but the mashed potatoes were okay. The sad part is perhaps the best tasting item was the stale corn muffin. I took a picture of it to show how stale it was. The paper muffin cup was so stuck to the side that it tore in several places. And when I tried to remove the muffin the bottom stuck to the paper. Still, I ate part of it and it tasted good. And it's pricey for bbq. If it were good bbq that would be one thing but... When in San Diego try Ph**'* for comparison.

I was disappointed in how drastic the flavors in all the recipes seem to have changed. The presentation of the food was not as once was, and the portions have not only changed in consideration of inflation, but drastically. I think maybe you need to get cooks in the kitchen that have worked at other Famous Dave's so you guys can get a refresher on what the recipes should be like.

Was staying at Yuma hotel across the street and was craving BBQ. Ordered the 2 meat combo for $25 and was throughly disappointed with the meats. I ordered the spare ribs and brisket to go. When I got back to the hotel there no ribs just chunks of rib meat that were so tough you couldn’t eat it….like jerky!! The brisket was a little better but super greasy. I have a home Green Egg smoker and know good BBQ. This is not it. Maybe since it was a to go meal they Gave me the scraps. I would have sent it back if I ate at the restaurant. Very disappointed. They didn't respect our reservation time, they made us wait over 30 minutes for a reservation made the same day since 1:30 pm. The manager in charge was very unprofessional and rude, we were not expecting anything for free but at least for him to do his job and check on us after the incident. When we requested to speak with the manager about the previous table arragment made with the morning manager, he came up to us in a very arrogant attitude and talking like we (the customers) were the ones making a big deal about it. The manager didn't fix anything, instead, he told my husband "I hope you understand I can give you that table" I need to mention that around 2 or 3 minutes after they gave us the table, they gave our reservation to another big group waiting after us. The reason why I'm giving 2 stars is because the food was great and our server was wonderful.

I was then told by female manager they only give you 6oz of each item, so then I asked if that's how they sell it by oz? Or if that's worded on the menu (maybe I didn't read the fine print) she proceeds to say no it's not printed on menu but that's the way it is and always has been. And let's talk about the family platter, chicken was burnt, so we're ribs and they were out of the big containers so who knows how many oz of that I got too, My bill was close to $175 on 3 items that apparently they sell by ounces... BEWARE check your food.

This is a review for a to-go order. Ordered buffalo wings and they were mid at best and cold. Caesar salad was terrible, soggy and drenched in dressing. Only salvage thing was the croutons. Honesty quite disappointing for $32 :(

Came from TX so I know BBQ, even if slightly spoiled. Food was alright but not good. Serving size was acceptable but slightly skimpy. Nothing came out hot enough. Didn't serve the combo with pickles or pickled onions. Corn muffin came without butter. Sauce is way too sweet and had no tang and was lacking in spices. Brisket had good color but bark wasn't very bark like/no splash of juice on top, just the syrupy sauce. Ribs are also fine but feels like they skimped on the rub and opted for sauce alone. Turkey was okay smothered in gravy but was weak. Store style gravy made it acceptable, though not something I would pay for compared to what you can get from a store. Didn't offer sausage. Chicken was okay. Mac and Cheese had chopped peppers and bits which were good but was underseasoned and overcooked, reminded me of Kraft and needed more cheese, maybe a crumb topping. Admittedly, the food smelled better from the outside than it tasted when i got inside, so maybe it was a bad day? Unsure why they served the food on two trays when the paltry amount could have fit on one. Service was friendly but hit or miss in terms of always being there when I was trying to eat but disappearing when I wanted to pay. Left a solid tip because I guess it's an A-for Effort. I wouldn't come back here again unless I was coming for the bar or was going out with friends who wanted to come here, though I'd do my best to discourage them if they're really friends. Ambience is good. Has great decor.

I heard a lot about this place before. I visited on a Friday night and my order was very dry. My $20 plate is on the picture. No sampler plates just pick one thing and get a full pound of it. I asked for a bourbon shot, besides the usual Jim n Jack nothing else was available. The mac and cheese from the kids meal is out of the box Kraft and even that was very watery. They tipped themselves after I left. I got food for take out that was already way overpriced especially for the amount and quality of the food. I didn't realize they would tip themselves for walking the food out the front door where I met them btw because of their own rule of they don't want anyone going inside to pickup. I also wasn't in a vehicle I literally met them at the front door. This place actually needs to be shut down on account of the quality of food, service, serving size for price, and all around disappointing experience of treating yourself to takeout. I can only imagine what they would have tried to tip themselves if I had been able to dine in. Will definitely never go back to this chain of restaurants.

Last time I rated this 3 stars. Today they go down to 2 stars. If you do go, don't order the smoked ribeye. It was so tough and chewy and dry. UPDATE After reading the rest of the negative reviews, I realized my experience with the food is not unique. There are a lot of reviews with the same complaint: dry, rubbery, terrible food. So for years management has known there is a problem with their food but they haven't bothered to fix it and they continue to charge customers a premium price. Thus, I must knock them down another star from 2 to 1. My check was $165 dollars and the food I paid for was mostly uneaten. My parents gave their steaks to their dog.

We came in from Arizona and we’re not mask prepared. No problem put them on and then we we’re directed to open seating in the bar area. Walked over and it was stifling hot and no a/ c so we back to the host and told we prefer the dining area and he proceeded to tell us we would have to wait as 8 more people came in after us! I told him that was not proper customer service and was about to ask for the manager when my husband said forget we’re leaving. We love this place in Yuma but will not be going to the El Centro location again. Someone needs to send the young male host back to customer service training !!!!

O...M...Gosh! This place is BAD!!! Okay, I'm leaving 2 reviews that happened in less than one week. 1st, the most recent was Thanksgiving. I've got to say that the smoked turkey was delicious but they didn't give nearly enough. You think you're getting a decent serving until you realize it's sitting on a large piece of bread. Who wants bread on Thanksgiving? We're "supposed" to get stuffing! Well, the stuffing was the real problem. I'm hoping to post pictures of it on here. Apparently they opened a box of StoveTop, forgot to prepare it, and just poured the loose bread crumbs into little bowls with lids and passed that off as a side. It's not cooked, it's not anything! It's just loose dry bread crumbs!!! The broccoli wasn't cooked, completely raw. I cooked it at home though and we were able to eat it. The savior of the meal (at $21 per person plus an additional fee.) was that turkey, just wish they had given more. Okay, now onto the meal my husband and I ordered less than a week before. We had ordered 2 chopped pork sandwiches. THEY WERE DISGUSTING!!!!! It tasted like they had literally poured salt over the entire sandwiches, both of them! We were so dehydrated after choking them down. I had ordered them to go and it was too far away to take them back. They were also soooooooo dry!!!!! I had to use an entire packet of bbq sauce on mine and it was still chokingly dry. The beans were good but we didn't pay $35 plus (with tip) to have to force a sandwich down. We have always been patrons of Famous Dave's but in Yuma Az. I guess the El Centro store needs a serious manager change. I cannot recommend this place to a stray dog.

Ate there twice. First night ordered online their ribs n brisket n sides. Got back to hotel and had brisket only, no ribs. Brisket wasn't tender but decent flavor, as if it wasn't cooked long enough. Second time I ate in house got a 16 Oz rib eye. I had three 805 beers the steak and sides and friend had pulled pork sandwich 3 bud lights and total w tip was 100 bucks... had heartburn and indigestion all night and had to call off from work the next day because it tore my stomach up so bad. I tried to give a fair shake at eating here as it was close vicinity to my hotel... this Texan will eat elsewhere.

Started with sticky bbq laced menus! Cold mashed potatoes baby-back ribs were burnt and dry and the cole slaw had no dressing! Terrible! Boy did I have a bad idea for a good dinner. If there were no stars it would be better!!!

So you're telling me this 'famous dave' bloke has spent 50 years perfecting his BBQ but even Stevie wonder can see that Dave is just blagging it at this point. I probably should've asked what award the 'award winning ribs' actually got because it can't be a good one. Probably award for most jaw strength required to get the meat off the bone. I also didn't think they had SPAM in America but I guess that's what they used for brisket here. Imagine making it your lifelong quest to make the best BBQ food but the best thing on the plate was a rouge vanilla muffin. Mission failed Dave , you'll get em next time x

Sorry to say, terrible service. We dined in on a Tuesday evening. No one at front desk so we sat down and waited few minutes in a family comes in and waited in front of desk until someone came. So we lost our place for sitting down. We're not to lazy to stand. We just have disabilities. So after this we finally get noted and we were told it be about a 20 minute wait to be seated at a table which we were ok with. So after being seated at a table we're there waiting and waiting and no one would bother to ask us if we had be waited on. At this point we were debating walking out but my friend decided to call out one of the waitresses to get us help and only because she invited here for birthday dinner. The waitress sent us the waiter that was responsible for that And instead of apologizing for the very long wait he responded by saying we should have called him out. "Really" this gentleman passed by us a few times and completely ignored us. And I was supposed to know he was assigned to our table Still trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt in this review but this is the truth. With an open mind, they might of been short staff. But I would suggest placing a sign at the front desk apologizing for being short staff and that this may cause delays

GOD AWFUL!!!!!! I’m not sure where Dave of Famous Dave’s is but he really needs to pay a visit to the El Centro location ASAP and show them how it’s done or shut the place down all together. Dave would be ashamed of this place. There’s a reason he became famous. People really need to stop going to the El Centro Famous Daves. The people giving them good reviews are probably high, drunk or they are fake restaurant owner accounts. Food was way too salty and the beef sandwich was covered in some sticky pan grease, which added to the saltiness. I highly doubt they smoke anything. Didn’t smell any smoke in the restaurant. Paid 20 bucks for a few dry pieces of fried chicken. The chicken never made in near a smoker. Clearly it was fried and over seasoned with some dry rub and liquid smoke. Service wasn’t terrible but no drink refills and she seemed bothered by our one request. I should have asked for my money back but didn’t want to make a scene. 0 stars for this place. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

So sorry but it was the worst ribeye we've ever had: It was mostly gristle (see photo). Also, we asked for medium well and we got medium rare; However, the corn bread and onion strings were excellent.

Today's experience was the worst I've ever had in the Valley. Husband, daughter and I get there, and we're seated right away. After 10 mins or so of being there nobody approached us to take our orders or even asked if we wanted a drink. For being Sunday, it was fairly empty. A group of about 5/6 people arrived and were seated right behind us, and as they were seated they were taken their orderright away. Must I say we're Hispanics and this group was mainly white. I got upset and we left they noticed us leaving and only said thank you to us. We ended up going to Chili's instead and their service since arrival was excellent.

Sub-par but expected for a chain brand! Firm believer that “Famous” “award winning” ribs should not be slathered in a sauce!! Unfortunately the third party delivery service “required” a sauce selection.

I'm really shocked at how bad this visit was. I took a family member out to eat and the tables were grimey as well as the menus that they pass to you. Wasn't able to substitute anything on our orders. The server had no experience at taking orders and talked to fast so it was hard to understand. Atmosphere is a joke , majority of tables had other customers dirty dishes piled up and that alone looks sad especially if there were very little people eating there at the time. Restrooms were awful and unsanitary. Shame on the Owner but if you want good business, clean up your restaurant and be professional 👌 at least take pride in cleaning, even the plates we received were dirty 🤦‍♀️

Went in for dinner with my family and was seated first by a young male hostess. We got our menus and as we are waiting for the server an older grey hair and mustache pointed to the hostess with an attitude that not there(whatever that meant). The hostess comes back and notifies us that the server notified the manager we had to move from the booth because we had our infants carseat. Our booth was located next to the wall not blocking anyones way or any other booth. Even the young male apologize and said it didn’t make sense to move us. The restaurant wasn’t even full but I guess the server doesn’t like children, he already had an attitude since the beginning. We gladly left and went to another restaurant to avoid any more bad service. The service is a joke, the place has gone down in the last couple of years. Take your hard earned money somewhere else where it’s valued.

COLD FOOD ALWAYS, Cold cold cold !! Every time I go eat here the FOOD IS COLD! the meats are always cold, the beans, the sides are all cold, It’s crazy how nobody complains about it, I guess people from the valley love cold BBQ lol what a joke,

I'm in town for work and decided to visit a familiar place to eat. The bartenders were very friendly and the service was acceptable. The food, that was horrible. I ordered a 3 meat plate with chopped pork, brisket and hot sausage. My sides were fries and mac n cheese. The chopped pork was cold, but overall it was great. The brisket was extremely overcooked and dry. The sausage was cold, and just tasted bad. I asked the bartender to take my food, mentioned that it was not good. The manager came over to speak with me, and I mentioned that it was not cooked correctly. She apologized, and walked away. When I got my bill, the full $24.99 was still on the bill! I would have been ok with paying for part of the meal, since I did eat the pork. But nothing was taken off. I asked the bartender if he felt comfortable charging me full price for my meal. He said it was the managers call. Stay away from this place. Bad food, even worse management.
