They had the Calexico Martial Arts Academy Lion/Dragon Dance team performing and it was the best thing ever!
Best chinese food in town! Hope we can dine in pretty soon.. Thanks for making all changes to keep us safe!
I love this place. It's close, safe during covid, and the food is delicious!!! I like the way they process orders
Real good the best chinese food... on the area we eat there for more 35 years.... recomended
Some of the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. May not look like much from the outside but don't let that deter you. Pot stickers were fantastic!
Always fullfilling fresh and delicious food. Their orange chicken is the best!!! Special soup is very delicious
Great taste and good price. Service is always very nice!

I have been eating at Luckey's Restaurant for almost 30 years. The food is great like always.
If I was local this would be my go to place for Chinese.
This is the 1st time in over a year we've ordered take out since the pandemic. Our food was delicious! The restaurant we used to go to was closed and I'm so glad we ordered from Lucky Chinese Restaurant. We will be ordering from Lucky again!
The food was really good. The service was good and the prices are fair. This place is always busy. I've been here a few times. So far my favorite is the Sizzling Duck. Yum
My favorite hometown Chinese restaurant. My mom used to love coming her and now it's a must when in town .. great food. Great customer service. Try the shark soup it's amazing
Had the Kung Pao chicken and loved it! Not only is the food delicious buy the service is amazing. Big shout out to Minerva for making our visit memorable! We will definitely dine here again.
We always get the Noodle Soup to go everytime we come. They serve the noodles in a separate container and the broth in another. You just mix them when you get home. We also order a few other different things as well. All of the food and service is great. Never had a bad experience here. We have been coming here for years.
The customer service at this place was exceptional! We came from Yuma Az (40-45 min Drive) and the dine in was still closed due to pandemic. The owner greeted us and offered to set up a tent for outside seating for our family of 10. The food is amazing and everything was freshly made! Our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Impressive customer service and great tasting food! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Order from the take out windows, wait a few minutes, and voilà! Beautiful, delicious, yummy Chinese food made to order. I love this modern lifestyle we are living in! I was feeling indecisive on what to eat so I came here for a quick bite. Got the pork fried rice with extra eggs. Straight from the take out box, it looks mouth watering. Add some extra soy sauce to your liking and happiness, satisfaction, and fulfillment of humble, comfort food. The staffs are quite pleasant and can speak English, Cantonese, and Spanish (fluently!). Highly recommend!
I loved that I got there close to closing and they were still able to take my order and they were very nice and friendly. They had myb order ready in a flash and it wan wasn't old or reheated. It was freshly made and delicious.
Hard to beat CHINESE FOOD. The little red pork char with hot mustard. Egg Foo Young is best with either beef or shrimp. Also available veg, chicken, pork or fish. The black pepper beef is wonderful. Also lunch has special combos. They include lots of accompanying selections
Great food and service. Our waiter knew the menu very well and checked up on use constantly. I ordered the No. 2 for platters and was not disappointed with the quality and quantity. Highly recommend to try at least once.
Every town has a cherished Chinese restaurant that the locals love. Lucky Chinese Restaurant in El Centro is it. The positives about this place easily outweighs any negatives. Request for the stir fried green onions with lemon and salt as an appetizer and you'll understand why this place is like no other! The orange chicken, Lucky's chow mein, and hot and sour soup are all uniquely flavored and cooked with a Mexi-American Chinese fusion flair. The friendly, fast, and overall vibe of this place is what makes El Centro and Lucky's so great. No, this place is not your typical Chinese restaurant....so don't even compare. It's an amazing establishment that's been in El Centro for over 30 years (with some of the waiters who have worked there for 20+ years). I look forward to taking my family back to Lucky's!
The best in Chinese food, always fresh, well serve portions, and a beautiful customer services starting with the owners
This is the most desent and delicious place I've been to in a long time. Service was excellent and the food. Omg the luckiest Chow mien Hong Kong style was the best. Can't wait to go back again. BBQ beef was tasty and the orange chicken was the bomb. The only thing was the parking. Not enough..
Very friendly staff, the owner is so attentive and always makes you feel welcomed. They have the best shrimp fried rice and orange chicken in the valley. Food always tastes fresh!
Best Asian style food I've had in a long time and I am a foodie at heart. The combos are enough for 2 people to share. The staff is really nice and attentive. I would definitely recommend this amazing restaurant.
Orange chicken and shrimp fried rice was delicious!!!
An amazing experience. The Salt and Pepper Shrimp was incredible. Huge crispy perfectly seasoned I'd rather call prawns. We had a choice if we wanted asparagus so of course...add them on!! The plate could feed two or three and a big bowl of rice. The day after, another serving and I still have for tomorrow! All for only $22! Size did matter!! Well unfortunately I live on the other side of the country and will have to wait for another trip around the sun to go back (sad face)
Lucky is always a must for our family, we always make at least 1 stop when we're back visiting the Valley, generous portions and wonderfully flavored food.
This place portions are amazingly filling, the food was excellent waiter was friendly, on time and quick. The food was served hot and steamy like food should be. The owner is a very friendly man as well he said he was greatful for us coming. If you're law enforcement this is a decent way to cool off on your code 7 and relax for a bit and get stuffed. I wish I could rate this place a 1,000,000 stars cause this place is amazing! Definitely will be coming back here again.
Lucky's Chinese has always had the best food in town. I order the Combination dinner, which consists of pork fried rice, orange chicken, and chicken chow mein. Believe me when I say that it is absolutely delicious! The plate feeds two, and will keep you craving more.
Best Chinese food in town the service and the variety of plates are really tasty and quality is top notch I've been coming to this place for over 19 years driving from SAN Diego to the valley just to eat at this place Lucky's
Great food and service get the salt and pepper fish
Great food and excellent service. Portions are big.
Service was good and food was excellent, at a great price point.
This is my favorite Chinese spot (Mexicali style Chinese) and I absolutely have to stop every time I go through El Centro. My dad used to take us there as kids and it was my first experience into Chinese food, although I found out later in life that it’s completely different that real Chinese food and that I was enjoying Mexicali style. My go to is the Mongolian beef. It’s very flavorful and well cooked and comes with fried rice and chicken chow mein. The service is fast and friendly too. Thank you to the staff and I hope the family keeps this place open for generations to come.
The service here is fantastic! The ladies at the register and the waiters are incredibly friendly — they make you feel like part of the family. And of course, the food is always delicious! I’ve been coming here for years, and the quality has never changed. My go-to dishes are the orange chicken and fried rice.😋
Super friendly staff, and large portions at a reasonable price. Food was amazing, probably some of the best Chinese food I have ever tasted. Employee was very patient with us ordering, and was extremely helpful to us. I highly recommend this place.
I didn’t think there’d be a good Chinese spot in town!! I’m so lucky I was wrong (no pun intended). Everything from the lady I spoke with on the phone to order, to the gentleman that took my payment and gave me my order and of course to the delicious and generous portions were on point! I plan on coming back here and trying at least one of everything! Definitely try this place out, you will not be disappointed!
I was gonna go to another place for lunch cause they have many vegan options but they closed today so we went to this place instead. We ordered vegetable chow main and Mapo tofu and they were vegan to my surprise! The portions were humongous see my pictures and the taste.... no too salty! Love it! We are just passing through this town so we are not coming back this way but if we are, we would stop by again. We spent $23 and this will be our dinner also! Thanks
Lucky’s has been here for 29 years. Originally from San Francisco, this restaurant serves up Chinese American cuisine with potion sizes meant for sharing. Inside seats about 150 people in various sections of the restaurant, and there is a room you can use for more private dining. Just call in advance to reserve if you have a party of about 15. Generous portions of all your well-known dishes. We love the orange chicken and the crazy fried rice. Take out orders are frequent here. Large open parking lot out front. $5 minimum credit card charge. Beer served here.
When you need good fresh chinese food, come visit this place. They offer an array of dishes to eat. My top choices are their chow mein, kun pao, Mongolian beef, fried rice, egg flower soup, fried won tons, bbq pork and egg foo young. The prices are very reasonable. They also offer lunch plate specials and a smaller portion, they started serving a few years ago. They call these their 'mini lunch plates'. These come with a single portion entree and white rice. It is a reasonable size serving.
Huge hearty portions and real wholesome ingredients. You will leave with a full belly and a small dent on your wallet. Friendly staff and owner.
The food was delicious and brought out quickly which is why I'm giving it a 4. The downfall as the waiter. It was like once my boyfriend and I had our food, he completely forgot about it for like 30 minutes.
Good food here. Service is great. They also have great prices. Great for lunch or dinner.
Excellent Chinese food! Service, on this visit, was not good. Had to ask three times for plates to eat off of, waited 15 minutes for tab, water was never refilled.
I came accross this place and tried it. Good food and serving portion is perfect for sharing. Friendly staff.
The mongolian beef and orange chicken plates were awesome. The one bad thing was that teir egg rolls were garbage. They didnt even have vegetables in them. It was just some nasty looking gray gelatinous filling. Avoid the egg rolls at all costs.
Very good food but the atmosphere was loud and compacted. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience.
Overall, food is pretty good enough to try again. Chicken chow mein and rice in pretty good, shark fin soup and Mongolian beef not so good. Service was great being we were a party of 15.
Good have a good taste, service was ok , but ambience it’s not the better , tables very close each other and a lot customers at the same time , I feel claustrophobic
Luck of the draw. The wife said hungry. Kung Poa Chicken and Mongolian Beef from the Lunch menu. Large Portion Size with good Flavor. Reasonable Service with a full house. Would return again.
I had the combination dinner, which was delicious, and the walnut shrimp was great too. I also ordered a side of chow mein, which was pretty flavorless, but overall the food was excellent.
One of the most popular Chinese food places in the Imperial Valley. The food is okay and it has gone down in quality over the year. It is a place to check out while in the valley.
saw this place online and decided to try.. Gladly it didn't disappoint, but they are not that great. some food were ok, some are not
Great good good custy service and I just like Chinese food alot to if u coming from SD or up north coming south I recommend
I used to love this place but its gone downhill a bit as far as quality it seems. The portions are always great but make sure you finish it. It never keeps past the initial serving. the food never used to be this way and has unfortunately turned me off. Eating there(dine in) is always a no go for me. Way too crowded, cramped and loud. I miss the Lucky's of 10 years ago. The price is right and has never broken the bank to feed a family. I'll try it again soon. Maybe.
Food is tasty, nickle and diming take out customers isn't. Having to pay extra for spicy mustard might not be a big deal but definitely annoying. A business isnt going to be made or broken due to take out customers asking for multiple spicy mustard. This place and chef lees are the only ones in the valley that do this.
Good food and lots of it. We especially enjoyed the shrimp and broccoli, and everyone's favorite, Mongolian beef. Crispy wings were good, served with chilies and fried noodles were great. Tofu vegetable dish good if not inspired. Disappointed by Hot and Sour soup because I twice bit into bullion cube crystals. Bummer, because otherwise I liked the flavor. On previous visit enjoyed the salt and pepper fish. Service was crisp and highly efficient.
The rice is under cooked, the beef and broccoli was 95% broccoli. The cashier should have given me more time, rather than asking me what I want after I picked up the menu.
Fortune garden is closed so I tried lucky Chinese. A little more expensive so I thought better food. But NO!!! fried rice had a burnt taste like if it was from hours ago and they just reheated but got it burned and dry. Noodles need some work too. (The rest was ok.4out5) Hope the comment helps to improve the quality! 40dls to the trash I will probably come back in Dec. when fortune garden closes again. Haha
Over all... It's good Chinese Food.. good portions... But the best Chow Mein in the Valley suddenly w have without warning changed .. Everything about it.. The color orange , different texture ... Taste. Should I go on.....Staff owner's cooks keep insisting it's the same recipe.. nope .. denials .. Lies should I go on.....??
Well best Chinese food in the valley but the prices keep going up. But it is still really good. Update: 04-26-2023. I have been calling for 25 mins and no one answers the food and this is a common occurrence. I don’t care if it is good. Having to wait so long to order with no answer is ridiculous. This alone is why i starting going to other places .
Been here a few times. Food was not tasty both times. Won't be going back again. Blech. Panda is actually better tasting!
This place is a joke. Sat ma at a dirty table, then sprayed me with the cleaner when they came to clean. Was never asked if I needed a refill on my drink. When I orderd was talked into speacial soup, which never came when asked was told i didnt order it (yet it was on the bill when i paid.). As for the food I had to walk out. I could not eat it. How you make meat mushy is beyond me. I do not recommend this place to anyone (except maby pres. Obama. He deserves this place.) P.S. how do Mexicans know how to cook Chinese. . .Im not racist Just saying......
Placed is closed for 2 weeks for vacation and couldn't bother to update their website.
The amount of oil in the food is concerning, broccoli lost its taste. Threw my plate away
I visited carryout on 1/16/21the entire order was totally a no👎 the rice tasted reheated from a day before everything tasted off.The salt and pepper had no flavor as before the entire oder wasn't good I did call to ask what happened 😳
So i just ordered Salt and Pepper fish and they gave my husband Salt and Pepper chicken omg 😨
Ordered early for dinner11am. so I would get fresh prepared food.I got family dinner for 2. It all tasted like it’s been in my fridge for 3 days. Pork like jerky. Hardly any beef in beef and broccoli. Soggy greasy egg rolls ect. I will be sure to go to Fotune House from now on
If you're from out of town avoid this place.
after so much terrible customer service experience after being a loyal customer for 10+ years I really had the last straw. I’ve never had anyone give me such a hard time over substituting an orange chicken when I specifically said I would pay the difference. I certainly don’t like being belittled and yelled at in a restaurant as a paying customer. Please train your staff to have some kind of customer service capacity and human decency.
Sweet and Sour Chicken was dry and too tough to eat there was hardly any sauce in it. I requested extra chicken instead of rice and I offered to pay extra for it and they refused to do this. Won't be going back.
I think the picture says it all, but to further explain pictured is my order of "shrimp chop suey" as you can see for this resturant that means just a pile of warm bean sprouts no shrimp no sauce nothing, unlike the usual mix of vegetables and choice of meat you usually get. Terrible want to request my money back would give zero stars if I could
