We came with all the knowledge of the negative reviews. But it turned out to us that food is good and tasty to our experience. We don’t feel the soup is artificially made. Instead, we like the less sweet version of the soup. Besides the fact that we have no issues with the food, we do have some concerns about their food hygiene. The spoons are dirty as not completely washed. But I saw the waiter talking to the boss right away, and they seemed to take the issue seriously.

The vegetable curry with tofu was very good. I'm a new tofu eater, I like the soft tofu, I think. Get the curry with extra veggies no tofu and the veggie egg rolls

Great pho spot at Diamond Jamboree!! The modern ambiance in this small yet well-kept place is inviting. The service is lightning-fast, and there's an older gentleman, perhaps the owner or manager, personally thanking everyone – a lovely touch. The pho was an absolutely delicious, and what stood out for me was the option of a kids size!!!! – Our daughter LOVED IT. Surprisingly, I didn't find the need to add my usual lime and condiments; the flavors were spot on. The only drawback is the challenge with parking during peak hours at Diamond Jamboree. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic. Can't wait to be back and savor more of their delicious offerings! Highly recommend giving it a try.

Amazing Vietnamese restaurant found in Irvine Spectrum. So many good items from the menu! Highlights of the menu: 1. Vietnamese Spring rolls - gỏi cuốn 2. Soft yellow egg noodles stir-fried with seafood - Mì xào mềm hải sản 3. Rice with special marinated golden chicken - Cơm gà Rôti 4. Pan fried chicken wings - Cánh gà chiên nước mắm 5. Trio color dessert - chè 3 màu 6. Jelly in iced milk dessert I cannot pick so I ordered a full table! Quick service, casual ambiance with Vietnamese lantern decorations.

My oldest friend & I went to dinner to catch up. This was a new place for us, we usually go to Garden Grove for Pho. Always want to start with the area.. if you have anxiety like me. The parking is BUSY. So just mentally prepare for that. We did get good parking and a street was closed so might have been that but just prepare to have patience lol. We were seated immediately and served immediately. For appetizer we got meat egg rolls - delicious! I got the combination #12 plate. It was delicious. My friend got the shrimp vermicelli bowl. I was impressed with the grilled shrimp! It was delicious. Will definitely be coming back. I just wish they were open later than 10 (:

Pho Saigon Pearl never disappoints. The restaurant is comfortable and quiet, so you can enjoy your meal without a lot of loud chatter, or what seems to be a trend, loud dance music. The food is consistently great, and arrives quickly to the table. Attentive servers, and good value for the money. You won't leave there hungry, and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend.

You know its good when the Pho broth beefy and star anise scent fills your nose as it is placed on the table! Of course I kicked it up with REAL Huy Fong Sriracha! The garlic noodles with mushroom did a delightful battle with the Pho to entertain my nose. But when the noodles hit my tongue......drooool!

Small convenient Vietnamese restaurant in Irvine. We went there upon a chance as the other restaurant had a really long wait. Surprisingly nice to-the-point menu, quick service, friendly staff, fresh food and large portions. Parking is a challenge in that area but worth the trouble. Edit- Went there again for a takeout. Still the same great food and service.

Was feeling a little under the weather and needed some pho. Pho Saigon Pearl was super fast and easy to do take out. The take out bag has a ton of broth and veggies so you are fully set when you get home. Broth is so good. Not to salty. Perfect with just a little sriracha and hoison!

I was very surprised by how great everything tasted- fresh and cooked perfectly. I have never ordered a coconut but I'm so glad I did. Never thought a fresh coconut would taste so good! I loved my pork chop rice, so savory. My friend ordered a filet mignon rice and it was so tender. Definitely coming back here! Service was excellent. Thank you Neo!

My friend and I went here for a somewhat late dinner. Order 2 dishes and 2 drinks. Satisfied with all of them. Actually I ordered #38 on the menu, "Cơm Bò Lúc Lắc", but I asked the restaurant to give me noodles instead of rice. So they brought me a "not-on-menu" kinda dish, and I have to say, I wasn't disappointed at all. Very well made. Oh and the atmosphere at the restaurant was also very friendly, the waiters and waitresses here were all very helpful.

Exceptional service from Raanan this past Sunday! We felt like we were VIPs with the level of attention and quickness for our table. Lots of quick drink refills, plenty of limes, and our seafood combo bag was full of flavor. The shrimp was also perfectly cooked and not overly done. Cant recommend this place enough. Would not be surprised if this guy became manager with how hospitable he was 🦀🤙

Our first time at Kickin Crab. We got there before 6pm and luckily best the rush. We were seated immediately even though we had no reservations. We really enjoyed the food. Even my daughter who is so-so with crab enjoyed the experience. She even asked to go back. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Super friendly staff. Delicious food. I usually go to the one in Garland Texas, so I thought I would try this one since I was close by. Kickin Crab never disappoints no matter what state you're in. I got the whole Lobster, 6 piece Sausage, and corn, Cajun medium. DELICIOUS. The lobster was perfectly cooked (no overcooked). Get there early because it is a little small and seems like seats are limited. I kept seeing people come in and leave. Other than that... a definite must.

It’s been a while since I had Cajun boil and Kickin crab did fabulous job making the shrimp bag with sausage/corn for dinner. Medium was spicy enough for someone who likes HOT 🥵! The sauce is so good… I can eat white rice 🍚 just with the sauce 💜 Thank you for delicious dinner! 👍🏼👍🏼

hey guys, let me tell you about a place called kicking crabs located in Irvine California. If you’re looking for really nice seafood boil that this place is awesome. The only one downside to this is that the wait time for Seden is sometimes over an hour the cocky guys that are there. Don’t really give you the best customer service in my opinion other than that, the ambience is great. The men’s bathroom was pretty filthy. When I went inside I didn’t take any photos of it cause I’m not here to create any Health Department issues with this restaurant however, I believe that they can do much more better in the restroom

Was in town for a shoot and craving some Cajun :) This was referred! The boil was pretty good and sauce was very tasty, but what stood out the most was the fish and fries! Fish was thick and so tasty! Especially with the tarter sauce! Also had the clam chowder and it had huge pieces of clams in every bite! Really light and not so creamy and delicious.

Definitely, yes, It’s one of my favorite restaurants! Seafood is always fresh, the service is great, we choose the Combo 3, $125, including snow crab legs, 3 lbs other seafood( shrimps, clams, mussels). Everyone likes the snow crab legs, and we order 2 more lbs again. Spent over $400

This place was great! All the workers are super attentive, we were just stopping by for some te lunch, never been here before, but we go to crab boil places a lot in San Diego. Here was super nice, and clean. All the workers check up on us. Alittle pricey compared to other places but I think it’s worth it! This place is also great because it’s not really loud either.

WOW! Just WOW! This place was absolutely DELICIOUS!! My daughter & I were in town from Denver & met my niece here last night for dinner (11/04/22) & we were blown away with everything! The seafood was so fresh & the portions were HUGE!!! There had to be at least 3-5lbs of food in our bags each! Highly recommend the All in flavor I think it’s called, that combines all of them for sure! Very tasty indeed & the staff are so friendly & attentive too!! Check this place out. You won’t be disappointed at all!!!

A quick review. My family loves coming here, I am not that much into seafood but love seeing the excitement on my kids faces and their comments on the taste of the seafood. Staff were pretty attentive and food came out pretty quick. I had Cajun fries that were pretty good. The rest of the family had the "bag o' crab". They liked the food a lot! I would say it's pricy for the seafood but I think that's expected at a restaurant.

Good restaurant, decent service and fine food! The fresh coconut juice was a plus, but the food is not super! I think you should try it but it wasn’t the best that I have had. The service was good and fast, although we arrived 30 minutes before closing. I would say their Pho with beef on the side was the best one we ordered.

Great place - love the authenticity. We were seated outside due to covid - the service was great and the portions were very large. We took home quite a bit of leftovers. Definitely will come back. This restaurant unlike the other restaurants like the curry house or Tim Ho Wan didn’t have a line which is great. Not to mention there was also a lot of value in it. They give you a ton of meat in the pho noodles which seems to be so rare now in times that restaurants are so ungenerous in their portions. So thank you

The food is great! But parking is horrible, you can never find a parking lot during normal lunch or dinner time😪

No marinate , tons of empty shells , sure just dumped it in the bag , no taste or flavor whatsoever. You wanna be a copycat but you’re at least 2000 miles from the original boiling crab quality! Need a lot of improvements.

Nice service. Clean and comfy. Food presentation was very nice. Unfortunately the bun cha gio was not good with The fish sauce. Way too sweet :(...The peanut sauce was like a strange ketchup. The wraps were pretty good. But not a typical vietnamese style in my opinion. We might try again another day.

We were craving Vietnamese food for dinner and tried Phi Saigon Pearl. We had their coconut curry and combination dry noodles (hu tieu mi). The food was good but we had better. Service was so-so. Not fast, not slow but the experience (food/service/ambience) was forgettable. We even got their iced Vietnamese coffee to-go but nothing special.

This was my second time dining at a Kicking Crab location. My first experience was at their Long Beach branch, where I ordered a non-spicy seafood combo and really enjoyed the food. It was flavorful and fresh, and I left with a great impression. However, my recent visit to the Irvine location didn’t go as well. I decided to try the spicy combo with lobster, crawfish, and prawn, and unfortunately, I ended up feeling sick afterward. I didn’t expect that choosing the spicy option would affect me that way, and it unfortunately ruined my Friday evening. I’m sharing this not to bring the restaurant down, but so others—especially those who might be sensitive to spicy food—can make a more informed choice. I still believe Kicking Crab serves good food based on my first experience, and I hope this was just an isolated situation. I wish the Irvine location continued success, and I may return in the future, maybe going back to the non-spicy option I enjoyed in Long Beach.

unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The soup tasted medicinal, which was very off-putting. If I hadn't been in a rush, I would have left after the first bite. The grilled beef was extremely dry and unappetizing. Overall, it was a waste of $20. I do not recommend this restaurant.

This was my family’s first time and our server was great at answering our questions. Unfortunately the food quality wasn’t what we had hoped for. The corn tasted stale, the shrimps were not deveined, and texture was off. We did have the garlic noodles, but overall there was a lack in flavor.

Ocean Blue

We ordered the combo #3 last night for dinner and it wasn't great. The shrimp and mussels texture were very bad. We got takeout and were told that the food will be prepared in about 15 minutes, but the food was ready in 6. We were there at 8:05 pm and received the food at 8:12 pm. Seafood should be made fresh and it unfortunately it wasn't. When we got home and was in the process of eating our dinner, the shrimp meat was almost like paste. They were not cleaned and the mussels would almost disintegrate, they fell apart. It was very unfortunate because the dinner was supposed to be for my son's birthday. All I ask for in the future is that we get the food we actually paid for, fresh and worth the $125 plus tip- because it's really unfair for the customer. These pictures are from last night.

I’ve been here a few times. Today just made men want to write a review. This isn’t place… small amount of noodles, pulled out a great amount of just pure fat chunks, there’s literally no difference between portion sizes besides the price. Soda machine doesn’t work, there’s better places in Irvine.. don’t go here. Service is service.. they forgot a few of the add ons.. pho places are known for being fast & precise.. this place dropped the ball. Prettt look inside.

The waiter who took my order had an attitude if he had more important things to do than to take my order. Then once I got to school my veggies for my Pho were rotten. Definitely disappointed and won’t go back again.

If I could give 0 starts I would. This is the second time that we are so disappointing with our order. The first time they gave us raw meat separately from the broth. The second time which is last night when I picked up my order we saw half of the herbs were black and rotten already. When I opened the box I found a bug in the salad.

Jocelin

I ordered the shrimp and it was extremely disappointing. The flavor was bad and tasted old, definitely not fresh. It wasn’t spicy at all, even though that’s what I ordered. The food seemed reheated, and overall the taste was just disgusting. This is not what I expected or paid for. Very disappointed.

Stopped by with my wife for my birthday and ordered the #2 combo, and received 2 snow crab clusters with >75% of legs that barely had any meat. Most of the shells were entirely empty when broken (couldn’t snap the legs - it was like wringing a towel). It’s happened one other time a few years back, coincidentally on my birthday as well (maybe October isn’t the right time of year for snow crab?). Did not raise the issue with our waiter, as the last time this happened, the server’s response was “well do you want to order a different type of crab?” I had also already broken half the legs looking for meat by the time I realized they were mostly empty, and I don’t want to be the guy that sends back half-eaten food. Kickin Crab was my go to for seafood but I’m not sure if I’ll return. Definitely avoid for special occasions - don’t risk the dissapointment.

We had a horrible experience at Kickin Crab. We added pur name on Waitlist on Sunday, May 11th at 12:10 pm for dine in with two other friends. My wife wasn’t feeling well due to the extreme heat outside, so we politely asked if she could sit inside the restaurant for a moment to cool down. The place was nearly empty, as you can clearly see from the photos—plenty of open tables and chairs. Still, one of the servers, an Asian young lady with tablet in hand and calling waitlist parties, rudely told us, “Our store is small, sorry you can’t sit here,” and turned us away. She clearly saw that my wife was unwell and chose to ignore it. There was zero compassion, zero flexibility, and the attitude was unnecessarily rude. It’s unacceptable for a restaurant with so much empty space to treat people like this—especially when someone is clearly not feeling well. Absolutely disappointed. We will never be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values decent customer service or basic human kindness.
