Ai Cha Isla Vista Reviews
This place is rarely open but when it is, it’s a mandatory visit, their prices are insanely cheap for these delicious drinks. 10/10 service just wish they were open more.
Super cute place and the girl working there is super nice! Drinks are great the cups are the cutest ! Recommend this Boba
I’ve tried many bubble tea shops, with all kinds of fancy flavors and styles, but my favorite is still the good old classic milk tea. The rich, creamy taste of milk tea bursts on my taste buds. If you love a bold and flavorful milk tea, this is one you definitely try it!
The cheese dew smoothies are always sooooo soo good! 🔥🔥🔥 Mango and Strawberry are our faves (but avocado mango is also delicious). Super cute atmosphere with lots of comfy seating. P.S. same owner of “Meet Up Chinese Cuisine” on Las Positas which is hands down the most delicious and high quality Chinese food we’ve ever had, anywhere. Must try!!!
Just tried out this newly opened boba tea shop, and wow!!! The classic milk tea is honestly so good! It’s super rich and creamy, with a strong tea flavor that’s just right.
Amazing service. I accidentally ordered the wrong drink and the guy working kindly changed it for me at no extra cost! He daid he just wanted to make me happy which warmed my heart. So awesome and amazing that i took my time to find a place to leave s review! I highly recommend! This place is awesome and great!

New boba place in IV- the classic milk tea was great - we also got a brown sugar boba tea and a Thai tea- everything was good. I'd go back and recommend. You can either self order or at the cashier. No menu anywhere you need to scan a QR code.
Very yummy. We’ve been missing decent boba in IV for so long and AI CHA has more than achieved this. Love how cute the cups are :)
the fruit drinks are actually really good I tried the avomango, grape cheese, pink love, mochi taro, and milk tea with boba and I really liked them; would recommend for people that like dessert boba drinks
The fruit teas taste great, I’m gonna come here every week
The boba milk tea is extremely delicious and the service is extremely fast too!

Food: The Boba itself was too hard for my taste but I do like really soft Boba, so benefit of the doubt. The drink on the other hand, I got the tiramusu. Again, maybe I should have asked for no whip cream but when it mixed into my drink it was about as thick as an in n out milkshake. The flavor itself was a little too sweet but again maybe I should've gone with a lower sweetness even though the server recommended 70%. The flavor was OK, tasted like a basic black milk tea + slight tarimusu flavor until it got thick... Cute cup tho! Service: Everyone was really nice! The server recommended me 70% as like a normal drink, so again I should've known my lack of liking things too sugary would make me want a teir lower of sweeteness. But yeah, Service slayed! Atmosphere: It was aight. It barley opened so obviously the atmosphere isn't going to be top notch yet. But they could not drape some fabric over some machine and not look like a white room... Not dirty tho!
I tried this place twice and each time I ask for regular ice but they give it to me with no ice. The fruit tea even tastes lukewarm so I had to add my own ice when I took it home. I asked the worker if she put ice in it and I said it looks like there is no ice and the cup feels warm but the only response she had was that she put ice. Also, not sure how well the ordering system is going to work. You can only place the order through a kiosk and the staff does not really interact with customers even when giving customers their orders they are not too welcoming. I personally am not a fan of this type of ordering system.
High prices, over $8 for most/all drinks if you want boba in it. Mochi taro boba isn't baddddd it's just very strange. Order 100% sweetness on everything but mochi taro boba or else it wont be sweet.
I’m not sure why but the Mochi taro milk I ordered was extremely grainy with lots of chunks that gave the drink a really unappetizing texture. It’s a shame because the taste was otherwise good.
Tried three drinks (jasmine peach, taro mochi, and boba milk tea without boba) and the taro mochi was the only one that was good. I had to get boba milk tea without boba because they ran out of boba 4 drinks after opening, and I had already waited 40 minutes to get my drink. There are also no pictures of 80% of the menu offerings, and the cashiers do not seem to know more details about what exactly the drinks were. I got 70% sweetness across all of them and milk tea was barely sweet at all, taro mochi was at a good sweetness, and jasmine peach was way too sweet. I had to throw away the milk tea/jasmine peach a few sips in. The consistency across drinks is not there. Also, wait time is quite long, 5-10 minutes per drink.
TLDR the actual drink is meh, boba is ok (soft but clumpy) Boba extremely sticky and there were large clumps in both of my drinks. Passion fruit was overly sour and the tiramisu was really heavy. I would’ve enjoyed the whip cream on top of the tiramisu if the milk itself wasn’t so thick. On the positive side, the boba was soft and chewy as it should be. Really nice cups and really cute logo. Mildly disappointed

Always have had a good experience but went today and order a thai tea and it was bitter and tasted like water even though I asked for 100% sweetness. It was flavorless.
She kicked my dog and gave me no boba even though I ordered double boba not to mention she had the authority to harass me with a assault of verbal bullets.
Didn’t serve us 2 nights in a row because they “didn’t feel like it” and claimed to be closed when it was only 6 pm. Do not go here.

We got two drinks and the milk in both of them had gone bad
