Rosebud's Cafe Jackson Reviews
Stopped here on a wim and was pleasantly surprised. The survive was quick and friendly. The food was top notch. We had the Strawberry Shortcake Beignets were a perfect starter, our main course was Miso Noodle Soup, Garlic Bread Gilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque, and Chilaquiles. We loved all of it. Definitely worth a stop
It's a Gem. Welcoming. Service was friendly. Basic breakfast sandwich was basic but delicious with crispy bacon. Grits were done right! Very good and large portion. My son loved the avocado toast and it was a fair portion. Beignets were very good maybe not as fluffy as New Orleans but still super good and nice topping. This place is certainly worth a visit.
To say I love their food is an understatement! So many options, such as gluten free, vegan, etc. my current obsession is the avocado toast with bacon. Loved their steak sandwich with Gorgonzola 🤤 but everything I’ve had is consistently delicious, year after year. Though I don’t eat out much, Rosebud’s is my go to for guilty pleasure. Speaking of “guilty”, make sure to grab a sweet treat on your way out.
It is a small but busy dîner. The mother and son duo are great. Everyone is nice. When I ordered a Burger I was given a choice of rye bread instead of the White Bread.
Cute restaurant visited by many locals (always a good sign). We went there on a whim on a Saturday morning for late breakfast - early brunch. We enjoyed some live music while we ate. Everything was good. The portions are generous. The potatoes were absolutely delicious.
Love the details of the cafe! Like adding fruit in the water to add more flavor and different painting covers from the kids. Great food and welcoming services 💛
Delightful experience! Colorful café! Mom and I got the Salmon Benedict and split it, as well as got lavender mimosas! The lavender very much on the sweet side but definitely worth trying. I can’t believe I’ve never been to this place. It was fun to try something new in Jackson. Very friendly staff. The smashed potatoes were bomb! Also, yes, get the beignet donuts. Still coming here a year later. Yes I got the other mimosa: much better! Always enjoy this little treat, here locally.
You know what's a real shame? That we'll probably never get to eat here again. Life is full of regrets, and this is one of mine. We loved this place. Get the beignets. Get the omelet. Get everything. I wish I could have tried the pork belly Benedict, but I went with the Monte cristo. It was very good, but my heart lies with hollandaise.
We were quite a big chaotic group and were in a hurry to reach Kirkwood for our skii lessons. They managed to bring in our order quick enough. I loved their Eggs Benedict, it has a veggie cutlet that I found really good. They recommended their New Orleans style donuts and we tried it. I loved it. It wasn't too sweet and had a nice unique taste. I liked their white chocolate mocha as well.
Loved the outdoor seating option at this main street mainstay for solid dishes. Well crafted plates and super friendly staff. We got the blintzes and the bacon quiche, both of which were wonderful. Good drip coffee as well.
What a great place. Family owned and operated. They just exude happiness when you walk in. Lots of great vegan options. I had the vegan hash and loved it. Also great blueberry pie. Don’t miss this place.
We never miss a chance to eat here when we’re in town. Warm, eclectic, artsy atmosphere, unique menu offerings (and SO many… plus vegan!), delicious food presented beautifully, and friendly, attentive service. Thank you for making my birthday so special!
What a lovely find on a weekend morning! From the moment you walk through the door you are welcomed and greeted with kindness! The food options are really good and the breakfast potatoes are the best I’ve ever had! They are soft on the inside and super crunchy on the outside, just perfect! The quiche was light and the texture was similar to a flan, it was delicious. I highly recommended Rosebuds Cafe!
The service was so friendly and fast! We stopped through town on a Saturday morning and found better vegan breakfasts than we do in Sacramento! There was also fantastic live jazz! So happy we stopped here!! Servings are huge, you can easily share a dish.
The food is delicious, fresh ingredients prepared with love and just the right amount of seasonings! The beignets were fluffy, full of flavor and divine. The mushroom quiche was cooked just right, with a perfect blend of tastes between the spinach, mushroom and cheese. The bacon sandwich was amazing!!

Ate here last week. Haven't been to Rosebuds since we moved, but pretty much the same place it was when we left Amador Co. Wonderful, friendly staff from beginning to end of service. Delicious food and generous pour of coffee. Surprisingly, it wasn't packed, but there was a steady stream of people who were taken care of tout de suite. The falafel on biscuit was moist and not overly seasoned. My husband's eggvbreakfast came with his choice of wonderful homemade fig jam. Our server told us a bit about the local food sources they use as well as their upcoming 35 years in business. I'm happy Rosebuds is still doing well. They've always been good to the community.
This was a fantastic find on our drive up to Kirkwood for the day. Stopped in for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by the amazing food and service. All items were delicious and homemade! Will be returning.
Went and search for some breakfast on a Sunday morning in downtown Jackson, California and as far as I know, Rosebud’s Café was the only place that we could find and they were extremely busy however, they sat as quick as they possibly could, and the food was just amazingin fact hoping to return today

Greeted w a warm welcome. The menu has lots to offer, but we saw beignets! Mmm.. then was suggested the chiliquilles or B&G special. Their omelet and sweet potatoes sides looked delicious! Too. Perfect oe eggs crispy bacon 🥓. Most def. Will continue to send my city/local/traveling friends... and most def. Will be back!!
Service is 5 star all the way! Wonderful people work here and you can tell they truly love their customers. Very big menu and everything- including Beignets are made in house! Our table got the Main Street Benedict, falafel Benedict and classic beignets. Everything was really good.

Stopped through while visiting friends, we decided to eat here because of the reviews. The food was delicious, the beignets were freshly made and the sauces were good. My only complaint would be the prices, $20 for a burger and arugula side salad with nothing else but arugula? Or $20 for 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon and biscuit with gravy? 🤷🏻♀️ the live music was beautiful and a nice touch, overall a cute small town cafe.
The staff are friendly and the food is good. My only complaint is that the cafe has a really long wait for tables - we waited 30 minutes to be seated and another 40 for a sandwich and some oatmeal. The air conditioner was either broken or not strong enough to cool the space, so it was sweltering inside.
