Nice food shop at JFK, they were open and served hot food as first among other shops. We had a layover in New York, so arrived to check in quite early at 4 am. We were hungry and tired after a sleepless night out in New York, so we desperately needed something hot, not only sandwiches. Latte was lovely, and our daughter liked the mushroom burrito very much. Our son was satisfied with the soup of the day. The only problem was that we were not able to place orders at the machine, as we got the error message that it couldn't summarise our order. By the time we queued and arrived to the cashier, we ordered just about the half what we wanted originally through the machine.

While I did not try all the products at Camden, I will say that their Salad bar by the pound is by far the best food I have had at an airport and for the most affordable price. A nice Caesar Salad I made there only cost me $7.53 with tax, and the staff was very nice and helpful, I definitely will be eating here every time I am at the New York airport if possible!

The hot chicken soup with Turkey sandwich only 12$. Not bad!

Plane diverted after midnight. Not many things open. Service was good. Bagel sandwich, although overpriced airport prices, it hit the spot. And a bottle of water. Can’t go wrong

I wanted to have a bite before my late-night flight. Unfortunately, only a few options are available after 10 pm in Terminal 4. My choices were MacDonald's and Camden. I was in NYC (sort of), so I craved a pastrami sandwich rather than the ubiquitous Big Mac, and I settled for Camden despite the poor reviews. The service at the counter was friendly enough, and my sandwich was prepared quickly. The sandwich: The marbled rye was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the pastrami was heated in a microwave, and the steam of the lava-hot meat melted the otherwise nice bread. But the meat-to-mustard ratio made this a mustard sandwich with a side of pastrami (see photo). That said, the small bits of pastrami I did get were tasty. Overall, it was a very expensive sandwich for what you get, but it was late at night, and there was no competition. They would get two stars for the food, but the fact that they were open late and the service was friendly moved them up to a low three.

Grabbed a quick sandwich between flights, but the self serve order system couldn't calculate total despite it being already on screen. Went to the back of the line, finally ordered, and moved to a different area of the store to get the sandwich Flow of the store is very weird, and there's no checking of receipts to verify the sandwich you're getting. $18 for a pressed turkey melt was airport tax entirely. It at least fit the bill of being tasty and reasonably filling.

We grabbed some premade sandwiches and sushi knowing we needed some sort of dinner as we had a 5pm–9pm flight. The $12 chicken avocado sandwich and $12 turkey sandwich were bland but sustenance. In future, we’d get something else. The $15.99 for a couple of pieces of sushi and California roll were about what you expect from sushi to go at an airport. At least none of the food made us sick.

I only gave this a two star because you can get some deep river chips here and bottled water. Otherwise, it may be due to covid, but the food is terrible. Save your money and just eat the lipstick from the MAC makeup across the hall.

Worst airport sandwich I had in a decade. Threw away most of it and crossed my fingers not to be sick. For ordering you are directed to big screen tablets, that do not work. Wasted time on three of them; then had to still use a long time on cash register line while worrying about boarding of flight. If the self-ordering kiosks don't work, turn them off. No genius intelligence required. The lady that made my sandwich was nice, which is always a positive in JFK. Unfortunately, the turkey sandwich tasted off and made me feel queasy when I finally got to take a bite later. Save yourself time and aggravation, there are enough airport alternatives.

Camden Food's prices are steep - $15 for grilled cheese and $17.5 for a microwaved chicken sandwich. Additionally, the grilled cheese felt overpriced for a basic sandwich, and the microwaved chicken sandwich lacked flavor and freshness, failing to justify the hefty cost. While it's convenient and has a fast checkout, the high prices and subpar food quality at Camden Food were a letdown during my visit, leaving me with an overall unsatisfactory dining experience.

Sarah-Marie R. Boerner Albertson

Extremely limited food selection when we went. Most heartier foods had not been restocked and what was primarily available were snack foods like chips, and some muffins. The last sandwich I was able to find was very dry and the bread was stale. Staff were unwilling to open the kitchen so no menu items were available. They suggested we go to McDonalds. Staff was friendly, but was really left very disappointed overall. Extremely limited vegetarian options when we were there.

Waited 30 minutes to get my order. Asked for a sandwich breakfast, so expensive not worth it! Barely egg and the sandwich was cold on the inside.

Talk about crazy expensive $18 breakfast sandwich. Unfriendly staff. Just not friendly and acting fed up. Wouldn't bother if it weren't the only coffee spot with espresso coffee.

The employees were making fun of me and laughing within themselves and not customer centric. Indian man was not able to explain it was self service after kiosk pay. I asked for spoon and the lady at the counter calls me to pay first. Worst experience in JFK in my all years

P
Patricia Sicinski

Doesn't even deserve one star! Absolutely rude staff with unorganized layouts. Order here first in this line then jump in this line to pay. Extremely over priced for the garbage food they serve. The lady didn't want to make custom sandwiches and forced this terrible excuse of a breakfast sandwich on people. And the food... Absolutely horrendous. I want a full refund. The wrap was soggy on the one side and completely hard as a rock on the other. I'd be better off eating McDonald's junk then this. I want money back and will be pressing this company till I get one.

There is one place in Terminal 4 you could possibly sleep, and it is next to this Camden Food. We got a flight at 06:00 am and had the night in JFK. Out of nothing they started playing Indian Prayer Music or something like that all night in maximum volume. No sleep, thank you.

Paid 18 for a turkey and Swiss sandwich that was literally bread 3 slices of turkey and a slice of Swiss cheese. The bread wasn’t toasted. The cheese never melted. I also waited 20 minutes from order to pick up for this. Then to top it off the attitude ma of the women working there were horrible. I don’t have high expectations of airport food and I know it will be price gauged but Gees. The store was very clean however!

S
Shristi Varshney

The location looks nice and clean, but wow I have never ever been more disappointed in a grilled cheese. Especially one that costs $16…. I ordered a grilled cheese which according to the menu has 3 cheeses (Swiss, American, Fresh Mozz). The sandwich only had 2 cheeses and it didn’t include the fresh mozz. It was on normal bread. The sandwich was very lightly toasted if even because the cheese wasn’t even melted. Poor excuse for a sandwich especially for that price point. I wish I had checked the reviews for this place before ordering.

Bought a bottel of water in JFK, paid $20,- but she gave me back from $10,-!!! Ofcourse she put the money in the drawer and asked me if I wanna see the receipt… How simple are you!!! What an easy way to make money or she cannot count…!!! Not being honest makes me angry!!! 😤😤😤

M
Mrs A

Awful place! The lady who served me was extremely rude! Clearly not the job for her! I ordered a banana muffin which was dry, the mushroom and avocado burrito was average at best. Don't bother eating here if you can avoid it. The staff were unhelpful and disengaged. Very unprofessional

C
Craig Riley

Poor and almost rude service, terribly overpriced. My daughter liked her egg breakfast burrito but my turkey sandwich was a joke - $17.99 for bread, turkey and cheese. Do yourself a favor and just head further down terminal B.

S
Sharlae Lund

I used the Camden food co express grab and go location at JFK (terminal 4 I think) where you swipe your credit card to enter and then you get charged for what you walk out with. There was no price indicated for the sandwich I picked up, but I figured it couldn't cost too much (aside from the fact that airport food is always overpriced). The sandwich itself was okay, nothing special, but I am baffled by two separate charges to my credit card, one for $10 and the other for $3. 05. I only got one thing. I wouldn't write a complaining review if I had just had one charge, (even though I'm kicking myself for a $10 mediocre sandwich) but what's the second charge for? I'll never trust that place again.

V
V Sorrengail

The breakfast burrito with mushroom and avocado was disgusting. Not sure if it was the completely unripe avocado, premade egg patties, or the full slice of Swiss cheese in it that made my stomach churn as I was eating it. This is a travesty. Cmon, it’s not that hard, I know you have it in you to make your vegetarian options taste decent. The cashier and the lady preparing food were very nice.

R
Rabbi Philip Weintraub

Grateful that in the display case they have kosher sandwiches. Unfortunately, the cashier was incredibly rude when she saw my wife’s Jewish star. She spent the entire time looking at the star and refused to put anything in a bag or assist in any way. .

S
Sundar Venugopalan

This is about your restaurant in terminal 4 at JFK airport. The self-service kiosk didn't print a receipt for the breakfast order and the front desk cashier refused to help print one for me. Considering the extremely high price of food here, the quality of the food and the customer service is extremely poor. Wouldn't recommend this place.

S
Stephen Young

No prices on anything, so you don’t faint at the price! How can any business justify $13.99 for an egg mayonnaise roll? This is profiteering at it worse. One dry bread roll, one spoonful of mayonnaise and a few leaves. The staff didn’t give a damn. They so didn’t want to be there, that was obvious. Stay clear.

M
Marc Cohen

Wow, wish I had read these reviews before I went there. They ask for $16 dollars for a tuna sandwich, which I was willing to pay because there were few choices in the terminal and I love a good deli tuna sandwich. But this was a joke. They gave me two sad pieces of palm-sized grocery store bread and a smear of tuna with no vegetables and nothing on the side (and no option for vegetables). Honestly, this was and is an exploitive rip off. I told them that this was unacceptable and demanded a refund. The management at JFK in charge of food & beverage should lose their jobs.

A
Ashwin Balani

14.99 for the ultimate grilled cheese. Two pieces of bread put in an easy bake oven with generic cheese. Just because it’s the airport doesn’t mean you should rip people off. To the owner, Look into your pricing or the quality of ingredients to offer a better value and experience! thanks!

K
Kris Jimenez

Really disappointed in my experience here. I ordered a sandwich and the man making it was very rude. I asked if I could have some lettuce as he gave me one tomato and a few strands and he said if I wanted that I could weigh it out at the salad bar. I went to get a cup of soup and he nagged me assuming I wanted a free sample. My flight was near boarding so I paid for my sandwich and left. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a food establishment before. Very upsetting. I will not be coming back.

B

I hate to be this bitter, but my interaction with Marquita was one of the worst interactions I’ve had in my life. She treated me with hostile nastiness when I noted she charged me for the incorrect order. They refunded my order at least.

M
Melissa Marino

Run, don't walk from this place! 20 dollars for a tasteless drugstore sandwich I could have made at home. Total rip off, even for airport standards! If it weren't for the fact that I need to eat when traveling ( otherwise I am physically ill) I would have preferred to go hungry

C
Cady Buche

Maaaan I wish I read these reviews before coming here, but sadly for an early morning flight you sometimes just have to go for what is open. $17 for a breakfast burrito with a tortilla that tastes like freezer burn, unmelted cheese, disc shaped eggs (I think), a teaspoon of mashed avocado and slimy sluggy mushrooms. I hate leaving bad reviews but this felt criminal to charge this price for whatever THAT was. It was vile.

L
Lauren Moreno

This was a comical experience. The cashier/"barista" couldn't be more miserable. Didn't say hello, welcome, how can I help you...nothing. Just gave me a blank stare. I asked if they had any milk alternatives. Instead of telling me what they offered, she just said ya. She rolled her eyes when I ordered an almond milk latte. I ended up apologizing for bothering her and troubling her at work. How dare me. The coffee was trash and $7.50. I ended up throwing it away. Unfortunately, there are limited options in this terminal, but I'd recommend Dunkin or Peetes around the corner. Wouldn't recommend giving this place business since it irritates them so much.

B

Mean guy making sandwiches , behaves as if he doing a HUGE favor by throwing in some heated frozen chicken with teaspoon of avocado spread and slapping between two pieces of bread. This is their most popular avocado chicken sandwich. He was initially angry at us as to why we want it heated and why can’t we just pick up one of those stale ones sitting in the refrigerator section. People eat food at airport because they don’t have any other option.. don’t treat your customers like someone begging you for mercy. That attitude for the unreasonable prices is an extreme displeasure Garbage garbage garbage !!

B
Benjamin Wong

Pour your own soup? Pay $11 for a cardboard container of soup, standing there with your bags and your coat and you’re supposed to pour your own steaming hot soup! And it’s the bottom of the container with most of all the good stuff gone. Bad. Don’t buy food here. But a bag of chips, if you can figure out where to order. What a complete cluster. And give me a soup spoon, not a tea spoon.

O
Olga

Food was good. The cashier was rude. As my family was deciding what to order she told us to hurry up because there was a long line. Customers should not be rushed. The food was expensive and the customers deserve better customer service.

M

“You don’t have to be good to eat good food” That’s what there slogan is. The food is terrible. The ingredients are the absolute worst, lowest quality you can get, the food is made with zero love. There business model is lying and over charging

R

Probably the worst breakfast sandwich I ever had. Not kidding. $16 for a breakfast sandwich with essentially nothing on it. Wasn’t even warm. Wish I read the reviews, but at the airport you just don’t think to do it. Can’t expect much at an airport but this was ridiculous. Tried to get a refund but they said they “can’t do that.” Make sure you dispute the charge with your credit card company if they refuse to refund your money for inedible food, that’s what I did.

Very rude woman who served me. From the time i got there to order the coffee until I got the coffee, she was rude. She served me warm coffee, and I told her I needed it hot. She did not want to do this until I insisted. She had a very bad attitude. My advice is never to get coffee in this location. Rude, rude, rude. I told her that she should not be working there. She will turn all the customers away. I took a picture of the coffee shop and the rude lady who served me, is in this picture. This is the rude lady. The coffee is also not nice. This is the worst experience I have ever had. Not recommended.

Terrible terrible place. The kiosks don't work here and there are no signs for where your supposed to order. Waited in line by the food to order, only to get yelled at that you need to pay first. Kiosks weren't working and the only order station was by the coffee counter. Waited 10minutes just for the worker making the food to delete my order from the list before even making it, I had to tell them they never made it and explain I had my receipt and re-explain my order (2 breakfast sandwiches, that's it). In the end, $15 for a slice of cheese, thin sausage, and thin egg, the saddest sandwich Ive ever seen.

Well if there was a zero star it would be utilized here. Needless to say, I will definitely NOT be returning to this location or any with the associated name. Asides from the fact that you order one item and get another, the staff is utterly rude (and this includes the mgr who apparently is too young to stand up to the others). My sister-in-law and I went here and I ordered a cappuccino for my husband (who doesn't drink coffee), when I got it because it smelt like coffee I tasted it, and it was coffee, so I told her I did not order coffee but she insisted that it was cappuccino. I looked at my in-law and I said to her, I want you to watch your brother after he taste this, so we left and took the "cappuccino" to him. He took the cup, tasted it, made up his face all while pushing the cup back in my hand and saying, thats coffee, not cappuccino!! We went back, this girl because she heard my accent, looks at me and says, I don't know how they make cappuccino where you come from, so I said excuse me, where I come from, and her response was yes, Jamaica or where ever. So I said to her, you know what, I am from Jamaica and I've lived in the US over 15years, and this is not a cappuccino, call your manager. Two guys are working in the sandwich section, they have no customers and volunteered to go get the Mgr. She refuses, leaves the one register that was functional, to go get the Mgr so she can relay her version of the events to her. All this while we counted 'at least' 15 customers who came and left because there was nobody to check them out. Unfortunately, I forgot to take back the original receipt so the only one I have is the one for the refund which has the managers name on it. A cappuccino that cost $6 that not a cappuccino. As I said in a previous post, the proprietor of this establishment need to go under cover at this location and see what happens here when they are not looking, and better yet, order a cappuccino here and order one elsewhere and compare them, because if this is their idea of what a cappuccino is, they are obviously clueless in this business.

I got a sandwich that was like $27 dollars and it was horrible. I would have returned it if I could. The sandwich was on a hamburger bun with chicken breast that tasted weird and avocado. It was more of an avocado spread it was not actual avocado. Barely ate the whole thing and certainly not worth the money. Would not recommend.

The level of incompetence in this country is out of this world: I insisted several times I wanted a honey dijonnaise sauce instead of Chipotle mayo. Guess what ? They still served me a sandwich with Chipotle mayo. I understand that the workers in the US are many times not specialized and that they might cime from various countries. It is insane thoough that without rush hour and too many customers and despite repeating this plenty of times they still couldn't substitute 1 ingredient in 1 sandwich... not to mention that I had to bring the manager to make them understand how tax exemption cards work for diplomats. This is not the 1st time in this country that service is disappointing...
