Port Royal Restaurant & Bakery Jamaica Reviews
The food is good. Employees keep to themselves and do there job. But being a little friendly would come a long way.
My taste palate honestly couldn’t ask for anything better than the delicacies at Port Royal Restaurant. The place is clean and well-kept, and the steam table is always on point. The food's layout looks amazing, and the presentation really grabs your attention. The staff is stellar. The food is well-prepared, and the portions are absolutely worth the price. The taste is by far the best I’ve had. It’s exactly like the real, authentic Jamaican dishes you’d get back home. I even drive across town just for this mouthwatering delicacy.
Very friendly staff makes you feel like you had known them all your life amd the food, good quality amd fresh
I absolutely love the bakery at Port Royal! The cakes are beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, and they taste just as amazing as they look. While I can’t speak much on the food from the restaurant side, the bakery truly stands out. The baker was incredibly kind and provided excellent customer service—unfortunately, I don’t remember her name, but she made the experience even better. For a Jamaican restaurant/bakery, the warmth and friendliness she showed were refreshing. I’ll definitely be back for more sweet treats!
I ordered a baked chicken dinner, only to get alot of rice and 2 pieces of chicken which had mostly skin and bones. Very little meat after separating the skin and bone.i think chicken is one of the most inexpensive meats so why not serve customers more and better pieces of chicken with the meal instead of packing the plate with rice to make the food seem plentiful. I do hope management will hold a serving class with their workers to ensure satisfaction for all customers who spend their hard working money at this establishment.
Port Royal has been in business for many years. So they must be doing something right. They do Jamaican takeout which tastes good and always has a line. The customer service could be better. They don't allow you to mix and match. And like most restaurants they give way too much rice for their prices. Oxtails are too sweet and liver is cooked too hard. The Akee and salt fish is good. Food sells quick and sometimes they run out. A decent place to order takeout.
They don’t even have a breakfast menu yet they are open at 8? If you know an order is gonna be long you let the customer know initially. There is no accountability for none of these West Indian restaurants at all! Plural because i mean it, all of them.
Ordered online thru Uber eats rasta pasta with extra shrimp pasta was watery shrimp was no fully cooked. Bake chicken and rice was watery and not done at all brought $60 in food and was totally nasty will never order again
The lie about pricing. They’ll give you a totally different price from what the menu says. When you confront them about it they make up more numbers. No calculators just lies. They’ll charge $20 one day for oxtails and $30 the next. A total. Rip off!
Ordered a banana bread and a baked chicken (dark meat only) with spinach rice and vegetables.... I got banana carrots and for the meal chicken breast with a leg (not baked and not dark meat only) with white rice and some dirty looking gravy... very disgusting.. had to get my full refund for this garbage... I don't know if the staff cant read or it they just don't care about people's orders but this is unacceptable... would not recommend ever!!!
Disgusting 🤮 they’re trying to pass this off as “jerk chicken”…TRY AGAIN!!…the chicken was BURNT, I tried one piece that wasn’t so bad & it tasted like 4 days old dried out thanksgiving Turkey. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I’m wondering how they’ve stayed opened this long with such horrible food.
