Inn Kensington Kensington Reviews
A charming little café that instantly feels like a neighborhood favorite. The cozy atmosphere makes it easy to settle in, and the warm, friendly staff add to that sense of comfort the moment you walk through the door. There’s something genuinely inviting about the way they greet you—unhurried, attentive, and clearly proud of what they do. My cappuccino ended up being the standout of my visit. It was rich, smooth, and beautifully made, but what really made it special was getting to watch them craft it right in the front. There’s a kind of quiet artistry to it. It’s such a small detail, but it adds a personal touch that makes the whole experience feel more thoughtful and intentional. The food was wonderful as well—fresh, satisfying, and clearly made with care. Nothing felt rushed or generic. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a slow morning, savor your meal, and actually appreciate the moment. I’ll definitely be coming back. This café is a true gem In Kensington, the kind of spot you’re grateful to stumble upon and grateful to come back to
Yummy, friendly service. The corn pancakes were crisp and the salsa was just amazing. The biscuits were good but enormous. Might try another starch next time. Note: There are older reviews of this place stating that they do not take credit cards, but they have changed their policy since then and definitely accepted our credit card today.
I hadn't been there in a few years when my family and I went in for breakfast. Their waffles and omelettes were as good as I remember. The grand mere is very hearty with excellent bacon, and the firenze is lighter, with spinach. Both are delicious. If you order waffles, ask for real maple syrup (it costs extra, I believe), but it really makes the difference. Their fresh fruit is outstanding and extremely refreshing. They still don't take credit cards, so bring cash or your checkbook
All the food was good and they have fancier food than I expected. Friendly service, generous portions. I look forward to going back.
Delicious food. Small, but comfy dining spot. Staff is attentive and the mimosa is worth the price.

Love it here. They were nice to my kids, brunch was super yummy and hearty.
I grew up near Kensington and my family has been coming here for decades. It is the perfect neighborhood restaurant. * Delicious and wholesome food for a reasonable price. * Good variety so you can keep coming back. * Run by people who care about customers, regulars, and the community. Unlike many restaurants, the people running this place seem genuinely happy to be there. My fav is the chicken sandwich :)
Their sausage scramble is "To Die For! with their sliced mushrooms" Their toasted bread is delicious with a spread of their wonderful jam. It was wonderful running into a former university music college at the restaurant. Wonderful atmosphere.
Food here is very good. I’ve tried most the menu items and they have all been good. I especially like the corn cilantro pancakes, but all their omelets are great too. Their biscuits are home made and very tasty and filling.
This is a gem! Delicious food, incredible service, and all in a cute, quaint location. I would highly recommend it! We had a great time and are already planning on coming back soon.
Our absolute favorite for breakfast/ brunch whenever we are in town ! Whole wheat toast and biscuits are great- don’t miss the potatoes! Generous portions will get you through most of the day
Perfect hometown style restaurant with diner vibes and great food. The service is quick, the food is incredible, and the biscuits are top tier. My go-to meal is the corn cilantro pancake, because I can't really get that anywhere else.
A hidden gem!! The food was delicious and the service was friendly, quick and efficient. The dining room is a bit small but well worth squeezing in for the yummy food!

Great food. I had dinner once and breakfast twice. The steak was done perfectly. The seafood omelet was awesome with perfectly done shrimp, scallops and salmon. The Mexican scramble was a great take on chilaquiles. The biscuits were sublime. We saved two for sandwiches on the road. The prices are quite reasonable, even to the good wine selection, $5 mimosa.
Why is the food so good? HOW is the food this good? What do they even put in it? My meal was so delicious, through and through. All the ingredients are good quality and the food is cooked perfectly, every time. My omelet was devine. The biscuits are delicious. Very few breakfast places compare.
Cute spot for an American diner. Came for brunch and ordered the corned beef hash. Their biscuits are delicious, and I'm disappointed that they don't have biscuits and gravy on the menu. But overall, good food, fast service.
This is a great breakfast restaurant known for their biscuits. For the holidays they had a honey cranberry biscuit that is amazing. They have the typical breakfast items with specials on the board. My moms favorite is the seafood egg breakfast. They now accept credit cards.
There is always a line, but it's worth it! Biscuit is a MUST! (with their blueberry jam). They serve their food pretty fast too. The whole table always gets the food together (I really like that). CASH ONLY!
Charming small neighborhood cafe and restaurant. Some interesting choices for food, twists on your standard Americana. Nice location with decent parking.

Very popular tiny cafe for the local neighbors. They serve alot of food. Typical american breakfast with homemade biscuits. Great coffee.
Excellent food and fantastic table service. The entire staff is friendly and attentive.
It's a small dining area, so was kind of tight but the food was good so I didn't mind. We ordered the seafood omelette, which included shrimp, salmon, bay scallops, cheese and tomatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly. It came with seasoned potatoes, and two large fluffy biscuits that melted in my mouth. The staff was friendly and attentive. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Our party of 6 was seated fairly quickly for breakfast. Everyone got something different from the menu, and everybody was pleased with their meal. My only complaint was the fact that the butter and syrup served with my waffles were cold (I'd have liked them to be warmed up). Overall, my experience was very positive and solid.
