I was here in Kilgore a couple of weeks ago to order supplies from a local vendor and just happened to grab an early lunch. I just want to say the front counter lady was so sweet. Literally was my best experience ever at a Popeyes.
The food was great, the service was awesome and the restaurant was very clean. I will definitely be back. I can tell the new manager has this place running like a well oiled machine.
The new general manager Mr. Woods is definitely a breath of fresh air to the environment of the Kilgore Popeyes…. I walked in and the place smelled so fresh it made me want to dine in instead of take out. I’m not sure where that guy is from or where he came from but I would definitely say he is a real keeper for our Popeyes in Kilgore. Thanks Mr Willie Woods for improving our Kilgore Popeyes
You have a wonderful woman working your drive thru! We went to Popeye's last night. We were greeted by a wonderful voice who took our orders patiently. When we got to the window I was excited to meet this person! Kudos to yall for having an employee who cares as much as shes does! We will be back!

We are on a road trip, and the customer service here was refreshing! The friendly service here has been the best of our entire trip from FL to TX! Zaire was such a kind & joyful employee!!! She was a pro even though it was her first day! 😀👍 And the chicken sandwich was amazing!
I am actually in Tyler at the loop and hwy 31... but had to leave a review on this popeyes because the Kilgore crew is here working... I frequent Popeyes and I've made a few reviews but I had to sit out here in the parking lot and give a review today. As stated above, I'm at the Tyler location and first I want to say that the food is typical Popeyes, it's good. This location is usually pretty clean and it's always good and they've always done a pretty good job at customer service but today was probably my best Popeyes experience ever. It was probably my best fast food experience ever. I left out of that store feeling great about life in about Humanity, the whole nine yards. The Kilgore crew, GM Willie Woods, employee Matt Freeman and employee Corey Huff we're probably some of the most nice people I have ever met with excellent customer service. Willie Woods was running that place like a true champ. They were busy and he was all over the place. Matt Freeman was the guy ringing me up and he had to be the most polite and humble young man I have ever encountered. His parents should be super proud that they raised an awesome young man. Same goes for Corey Huff, super customer service skills and a great attitude. They were all smiles and doing their job perfectly. If I own a fast food chain or anything for that matter I would definitely want this crew to run my place. Popeyes you made an excellent decision hiring these guys. GREAT JOB!!!!!!
I haven't visited Popeyes in Kilgore since mid 2023 because the staff was terrible. A friend and I waited near the door for 45 minutes and that's after they had already opened for service. They never opened the door and kept it locked all while flashing dirty looks at us. This was not my only bad experience with Popeyes in Kilgore but it stands out the most. So I decided to give them another chance today and they have definitely turned things around. I saw new staff all very friendly and helpful and our food was not bad. Happy with Popeyes in Kilgore please keep up the good work.
Stopped by Friday afternoon and the manager there put me in a great mood for the rest of the day with his amazing personality! Also, the second manager came in before I left and he was just as bubbly and personable even though he was working alone on shift and super busy. I'll deffo be going back just to get them good homey vibes! Thanks gentlemen, your indispensable essence has had a lingering effect for days after.
We went through the drive thru so I can't give info about the inside of the restaurant. They were snappy and spoke very fast when we were trying to order but when we asked them to please speak audibly they slowed down. The drive thru moved very quickly and once we got to the window the employees were very kind. We had ordered 3 Apple pies and they had already swiped our credit card, but they only had 2 Apple pies. We told them not to worry about it but they insisted we pick something to add to our order. They felt bad and were insistent on fixing it. We just got a small order of mashed potatoes and gravy. The food was very fresh, very hot. Their chicken is perfect and it's never dry. We drive 50 minutes round trip just to get Popeyes!

We ordered online and picked up in the drive thru around 7:30. The food was great and hot! A minor mistake happened and it was quickly and kindly fixed. The ladies in the store were so nice! We will be back (:
Just going to be honest, I have read and heard bad reviews about this restaurant but, in the past few months that I have been visiting the customer service and food have been continuously improving! 🧡 I'm so glad that I do not base my thoughts of something off of someone else's opinion. Love the crew they have now! all the management and crew members are always friendly and do their best to correct any situation! The store is always clean and food is always fresh!! I don't mind waiting 12-15 min for fresh chicken, I understand they do get busy and it takes time for more food to be cooked! I will definitely keep coming 3-4 times a week 🧡
I just left feeling great thanks to a total stranger! The current manager is the absolute best, you can just tell by how personable he is and he was super friendly! He went above and beyond to fix a simple mistake and I really appreciated his customer service!- Reference to DoorDash leaving my two chicken sandwiches but he made it right :)
Seems as if chicken pieces get more smaller and price increases. Air conditioner must have been not working. Was extremely hot trying to eat.
The cashiers did their best, but several of my meal requests were out of stock.

You shouldn’t really eat here if your expecting your food to get there fast, the food is pretty good but it does take a while sometimes, also I’ve had a couple of times were my order was a bit wrong like not having fries but they fixed my order when I asked them.
Order from Doordash, Jeanie was great. But my order was wrong. Call the restaurant and manager went beyond to make it right. Young man, wearing a red bandana, an employee volunteer to deliver my order in his personal vehicle. Recently had surgery so Doordash was the best option but Popeyes put a smile on my face. The moral to this review "Good Customer Service Does Exist."
It’s alright. When it had just opened, the food was consistently served fresh, and they gave me Sweet Heat sauce packets when I asked for them. Nowadays the chicken is sometimes fresh, and they charge me for sauce packets even when I make a purchase.
Girl at drive thru was super nice but they got my order wrong . Went back next day and paid for same meal made right And the biscuits that they gave me was hard enough to knock a brick wall down... That stinks too. So I say get your act together in the drive-thru check and make sure your customers orders are correct That after all is part of your job.
Was weirdly asked if I was sure I was done ordering because they did not want me to ask for something else when I get to the window…. The chicken was good but they need to supervise their employees.
Got 2 chicken sandwiches and those were really good... If i could rate the service it would be a zero. The girl at drive thru was short with me. When we got to the window it seemed like I was inconveniencing her being a customer. When she handed us our food she checked her nails out before shutting the window not even saying anything else to us. Poor customer service. But then chicken sandwiches were hot and fresh.
I placed my order, pulled to the window to pay. I said hello, The cashier didn’t say anything to me just put his hand out for my card. I give it to him, he closes the window. Comes back with my card no receipt. I say thank you, he shuts the window. I pull off and check my bank account due to no receipt or him telling me the total. I was charged $11.24 for two legs, biscuit and lemonade with no side. I pull back around and ask for the receipt. He gives it to me and shuts the window still saying nothing. So at this point I’m reading the receipt thinking I was charged for a combo (I was wrong) which comes with a side. This time I decide to go inside and the same window cashier looks at me, huffs and puffs and rolls his eyes. At this point I’m irritated with the cashier. The manager Teresa (name on the receipt) nicely explained to me that she rung up my order ale cart because of how I ordered it. She was very nice and offered me a side to fix it. Communication and customer service go a long way. If this had been explained before shutting the window in my face and saying completely nothing there would be no issue. Teresa needs a raise and the cashier needs customer service training.
Really disappointed and this is the ONLY time after about 10 visits I have felt this way. I always get the spicy chicken strips and they used to be thick and juicy, but when I went through a week ago, the strips were so thin, mainly crust...I couldn't even finish eating them. Not sure if I'll go back.
Dropped by for something quick to eat after a football game. Lobby was closed because they didn’t have enough employees to staff. I walked in the lobby and the older lady told me in a gruff, hateful voice, “lobby is closed you have to go through the drive through.” If the lobby is closed why are the doors unlocked and why not put a sign on the door. I ordered plain chicken wings. Got the hot and spicy. I couldn’t eat them, they were entirely too hot. The lady working the drive through, Angelica, was very kind. I probably not go back to this location.
On 4/24/2025 I placed an app order for pickup at around 10:11am, with a pickup time of 10:30. I have been to this location before, so I know the service can be slow and thought that making the order in advance might allow me to pick up my order on time before getting to work in Kilgore. In reality, I arrived at 10:35 and had to wait until 10:46 for my food to be ready, and my order was also wrong (I received the wrong sandwich). The food was good, but the service and actual delivery on the ordered product was unfortunately a poor experience.
Came in at 7:45 pm on a Saturday. Got our order okay, no mistakes. Tea was off but rest of order was fine. Problem came at 8:06 when they locked the doors then kept staring at us while we ate. When I checked online, hours for dine-in are until 10 pm. When I asked why the doors were locked, we were told if they weren't busy they close early. I asked as early as 8 pm? Yes, and when asked if the franchise owner was aware, they didn't know. We were given a handful of coupons as we finished. Now that we know we can't count on this Popeyes to be open per online advertising we will be sure to make other arrangements for late trip dinners.
Very irritated that they do not take pickup orders over the phone! Daughter had to go in to order, and the place was EMPTY. No reason a phone ahead call in order couldn't have been done!! In response to the below question asking about Noise level, it was quiet, because there were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS in the restaurant.
I ordered 10 chicken strips with Cajun brown gravy, they don’t have cream gravy, mac and cheese and sweet tea. I was offered a free apple pie if I donated a $1 to the Popeyes fund. They mean strips, there was mostly batter and chicken. The Mac and cheese I think was from this week. The free pie took seven minutes, but in fairness I was given an extra free one for having to wait. The sweet tea was good and that’s about the best I can say about the whole meal. For the price I paid there should have been more chicken and more to be pleased with besides good sweet tea. This is a lesson I learned before, but forgot, Popeyes is not worthy of my time or money.
Came up with a coupon to get a two piece chicken and side,got home and they gave me two wings. Not happy, wings have hardly no meat. Very disappointed. Get chicken there on a regular basis and have never gotten just wings. You guys can do better than this
I’ve gone there twice on Sundays evening around six o’clock both times. This restaurant is slower tha a traffic jam and the food wasn’t what I asked for and the service was aweful both times. The people were rude and they never had any chicken ready. Both times I ordered a two piece and never got the chicken I asked for.
Absolutely disgusting!!!!!! Saw an employee no wash their hands after leaving the store for an unknown amount of time doing God knows what. The drive thru employee had most of their hair and beard uncovered.
Showed up at 9:40 to locked doors. The employee inside just looked at me. Almost understandable. Went through the drive thru, only to be told "I'm off". Are you SERIOUS? I'm not one to make it a habit to show up last minute. I myself work in food service. It was a late day and was getting it to go...but the attitude was RIDICULOUS. You advertise an open and close time FOR A REASON. You are in CUSTOMER SERVICE. FIX YOUR FACE AND YOUR ATTITUDE when you speak to me or anyone else for that matter.
I paid almost $40 for meals for the family. The fries we got were half an order and had been sitting cold for a minimum of 4 hours. The chicken sandwich also had been sitting a while. It truly was the worst meal we've gotten at this restaurant. It's a shame it's now gone downhill since it opened.
Absolutely trash! Ordered a number 9 with a large fry, lemonade, large diet coke, and a 2 pc with biscuit. I was given way over cooked 8 pc chicken that was dry as bone, 6 overcooked rock hard biscuits, and gross mashed potatoes. I call over and over and no one answers. So today I call three times and finally get intouch with someone about 15 mins ago. I tell them the situation and he says, "better luck next time. I can't look up your receipt, so I don't know if you're lying to me or not." Pathetic for a manager to treat his customers like this. Whoever this dude is that a manager there needs to be fired. Smart alleck, rude, and beyond unprofessional. I WILL NEVER BE BACK. The excuse was that she said last night her headset was not working once I got to the window to verify my order and her response was, "yeah, we got it." So I paid $16 for food I didn't order and couldn't even eat! I wish I could give you negative stars!!
WORST FAST FOOD RESTURANT IN KILGORE. Employees are extremely unprofessional. No one wears masks. They always close early. If you pull up to the drive thru to place an order after 9:30pm no one will answer the speaker. You will be ignored until you finally give up and drive off. Cleanliness of the store is an absolute joke. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
I got food poisoning here. I wish I'd taken a picture of the chicken sandwich, half of it was dried out and discolored, might as well have been rotten. Either check your food or be prepared to get sick. Better not to eat here at all though.
Absolutely brutal. Unless its 11 am when they first open dont go. Trust me, i live in kilgore and ive given them so many opportunities. They take FOREVER and when the food finally comes its absolutely trash.
Was told the lobby wasn’t open at 5pm on a Saturday, then they wouldn’t take the order when getting to the drive thru. And while honking at the window was seen but ignored.

Will never go to this Popeyes again. Went today to pickup part of an order from earlier in the week that I payed for but was not in my bag when I got home in another town. The doors were locked when I got there at lunch time. I went to the drive thru and the manager said they did not have enough staff to open the inside. Like their food to bad they are not going to make.
Absolutely horrible Popeye's location! Placed an online order, got to the location 20 minutes later giving them plenty of time to have the order ready. Got there pulled up to the drive through and was told to pull around to the window. I was the ONLY car in the drive through. No one came to the window to tell me they were still working on it or anything. NOTHING for nearly 15 more minutes. Then what looked like the asst manager or something brought me my order, without even an apology for the delay or anything. Get the order home and I'm missing the 4 tenders that came with the family meal AND the french fries tasted like they'd been sitting for hours under the heat lamp AFTER being cooked in week old oil!!! Sent an email complaint via the APP and have heard NOTHING back from the company. COMPLETELY dissatisfied with the food and the service. Take my advice....if you are in Kilgore skip Popeye's and head over to Chick fil A instead!

Waited over 40 minutes for our food and never received. Multiple customers came in after us and got their food before us. Requested refund and took over 10 minutes while they continued serving others. If I could give zero stars I would!
Like the many TRUE 1 stars Just make sure you check your order before you leave the window or inside. They don't care if your order is wrong. Otherwise You will have the luxury of going back through the drive-thru/inside to attain what you basically asked for especially if its after 8pm (lobby closed). Magically, after knocking on the door one of the employees after 8pm said they were closed 2 hours beforehand (actual closing 10pm) on a simple request for the missing product on the receipt that would've taken 15 seconds or less to give . Obviously they denied customer service. Lazy
I've tried on multiple times to order food here but no one comes to the drive through window. Last night we tried at 8:05 PM, nearly 2 full hours before closing, and there was no one there. How does this place even stay open?
Good food, terrible, slow, rude service. Not sure what else I expected at Popeyes in Kilgore but if this place could have half the customer service that CFA has they could be alright but completely different cultures.
The service was good. The food was skimpy. I paid $10 for my meal. It has been this way at all Popeyes I go to. Pricey with small portions. My biggest complaint was the loud TV in the dining room. The volume did not bother me. What bothered me was it was on a liberal news station bashing former President Trump. Giving news that all of his corruption is about to be revealed and this information will send him to prison. I was shocked. No wonder our country is so divided when restaurants promote this. I will not be back.

Ordered a chicken sandwich and was nothing like they were in beginning. I got one bite that had sauce on it and the chicken is smaller. This was the third time. I’ll go to Chic-fil-a from now on. The ones that are in Longview are no better and have a lot of people problems. As bad as I hate it looks like I’m through with Popeyes in general. Did away with the dirty rice again even tho the signs were still up. Looks as though they removed my last review as well as a bunch of others. Definitely will not darken their door steps again.
Pulled in drive-thru waited like 5 mins no one ask what I wanted pulled to windows saw employees standing around didn't come to window so pulled around front doors locked and the employees just standing this was at 445 pm 1/5/2025 Sunday go figure this is by far the worst resturant in kilgore tx not the first time this has happened and many times the order was wrong or left out part of our order, once there were ants in the meal I love Popeyes but about to boycott
I came to Popeyes ordered the 12 pc chicken for ONLY 13.99$ but come to find out it’s 30 freakin dollars. I don’t know how it went from 13 to 30 but I think they trying to scam me. I came back to get my refund because that unacceptable
This has to be the worst experience of my life. The drive through was broken and I sat there for 5 minutes until I saw a post it note written in faded chicken scratch prompting me to pull forward. I wish I would have instead pulled in reverse. Because once I got to the window I was greeted by an impatient woman eating a chicken sandwich. She mumbled through the pound and half of chicken she had in her mouth something along the lines of "what you want?" Once we put in our order we were told to wait in the parking lot for our sandwiches. After 15 minutes I went inside and our sandwiches were being ignored. #iusedtolovethatchickenfrompopeyes
On my way home from work very hungry I decided to go here. I drove all the way to Henderson tx just to find out my chicken sandwich was not in the bag.. lazy bad workers fire them all.. never go there again
Order 2 fried chicken sandwiches. Ask them to make it fresh that I would wait. Got to the counter. Do the drive through 3 seconds later? They gave me my food. I said this is fresh. The guy says yes, it is it was. Terrible when I got home, never be back.
Saturday Nov 18 at 10:40 am and the worst experience ever. The female manager on duty was beyond pompous and rude, not only to me, but also to the patrons behind me. I ordered a 5 piece for $9.99 and arrived home to find only 3 pieces of chicken in my box. I live too far to turn around and try to convince the staff that they short-changed me, especially because the manager on duty was so curt and rude with both staff AND customers. POPEYES you need to make some serious changes in management training. Today was the epitome of a long history of my negative experiences at Popeyes. I am now making Johnny Ozark’s my #1 Kilgore location for awesome fried chicken food & experience.
This store is absolutely awful. I’ve tried multiple times coming here but today was my final time! They ALWAYS mess up the orders, actually went inside this time to order since the drive thru was blocked and they still messed up! Ordered two shrimp meals and came home to find two separate orders of wings and a single small fries so it’s a waste of money to drive all the way back to kilgore and food in the trash, it’s all cold and in a gross smelling sauce. They need to do better!
They have their employees in there working without AC and 99+ degree temperatures not to mention the lack of cleanliness in the few times people have gotten raw chicken. As a company, they’re not paying their employees in the robbing them of hours work for not allowing them access to paystub‘s, or to HR to make a complaint or receive their income. This is not the type of company any of us American citizen should be supporting. We’re for working contributing members of society being able to be paid for work worked. At the very least will you make your trip there call the local health department and try to get those guys some AC in there‼️

So my fiance works in Kilgore and over the last few nights I've asked her to pick me up some chicken on the way home. I find it very odd that after 9:20pm the credit card machine is always down and they specifically ask for cash. She has came thru the last 3 times and it has always been a different cash price 🙄 They tried charging her $13 tonight for a 2 piece and one side which is usually nine bucks and some change with no receipt. Sounds to me like the employees are trying to make some cash on the side with food that is about to go into the trash 🗑 for the night. Gonna give corporate a call tomorrow. " 🎶 love that chicken from Popeyes 🎶 "😏
The food and service used to be good here when it first opened. I love Popeyes and was excited about it. Now it's just full of half asleep workers and was just told they only have legs and breasts left. If you're this understaffed and this unequipped for business, please just shut it down.
Lobby was closed so had to go through the drive through. We'll the speaker was broken in the drive through so it said to pull forward to the window. I wanted at the window for a minute and made eye contact with an employee who proceeded to just ignore me. Absolutely the worst Popeyes I have ever been to.
6 times on a row SIX! Worse each visit. Once the manager actually fell asleep while taking my order, the girl I. The drive thru came over to wake her. Always rude service, extreme waits in the drive thru (23 mins one time! Chicken tastes old every time. I gave it 6 chances, I won’t be back.
Placed a order online to be ready at 11:25 the lady talking about it won’t show up until I get there, then they take over 30 minutes and my food is still not ready so I didn’t have a lunch to eat. Also had a child in the back touching the food.
Let me tell you about my visit. Worst service ever. I went thru the drive thru. Every other chicken place you go, if the chicken isn't available they will give you a wait time. Nope not here, first it took them 5 minutes to even take my order. Then I got to the window, they took my money and asked me to pull around to the front of the store. When I asked how long it would be the girl told me she didn't know. I said give me an idea she said it depends on what the other orders are. I pulled to the front and after 20 minutes went on to check on the order. One girl said " Man they aren't even ready" the manager, I'm guessing because his outfit was black said that the spicy chicken would not be ready for another 5 mins. After getting home. The chicken had mushy parts. I'll NEVER go back to that store again.
I have gone so many times before to order and had great service. But just went 3 days ago and ordered 2 spicy chicken sandwiches for my mom and her husband and that same day my mom and my mom and her husband got sick and till now my mom is still since. I deeply recommend you check your food. They really need to improve their services and staff.
Waited 15 minutes to place my order and another 39 minutes to receive it. Only to get home take the first bite and the chicken wasn't done. I've been calling for almost two hours to make a complaint and the line has been busy the entire time.
Manager would not accept my coupon. Cashier tried all of the coupon codes and they all only rang a leg and a wing. When clearly on the coupon it says 2 pc signature chicken and shows a leg and a thigh. Don't try to use your corporate coupons at this place because he's only going to let you have a wing and a leg not what's in the picture or what the coupon says just what ever the code is when he puts it in. Worst management I've ever dealt with in my entire life I took a picture of the coupon it shows a thigh and a leg that ain't no wing and everyone of a coupon codes cashier put in only gave you a leg and wing.
It's trash and over priced. I decided I wanted some chicken and showed up to order. Upon arrival the dining area was closed. Started to leave and a guy got out of his car and said he was the cook. Told me that it was driving thru only and there was only two people working. This building has housed another failed business. Area manager should address these problems.
I showed up at 9:22 pm to pick up an Uber order and first off I sat at the speaker for 10 min waiting for someone to answer… nothing so I drive to the window. It’s cracked open and still no one. I see 2 people come from the back and side come to the window and says they are closed I told him I had an order to pick up and he said they could make it then went and looked at the order and said they didn’t have any of the stuff in the order. So I leave and there is a head set sitting on the trash can outside???? Weird shit going on at that one…
Went to Popeyes in Kilgore and received the worst chicken ever. I was not aware that they closed at 8 pm. If you show up close to closing time they will not serve you. I went to the drive thru and was ignored. Instead of a sign or someone saying we are getting ready to close they act as if you don’t exist. Before this incident and not aware of the closing time I ordered chicken around 7:30pm. They gave me chicken that sat out all day. The chicken was so hard I had to throw it away. I am very disappointed in this place.
I give the service no stars. We sat in the drive through for 4 mins and was told twice to hold on. Then looked and no one was even in line. So after 5 mins waiting we drove on through the drive thru w no one in the window or inside dining. Good luck staying open.
Ordered on line through the app. Got to the store all closed up at 8:30pm finally getting someone's attention at the drive through window I was told they close at 8 because they only had three people working. So no food however there was no charge on my bank account... the next morning the $30 charge was on my bank! Looks like I now get to waste time contacting their corporate office and contacting my bank as well to dispute the charge.
The worst, Drive thru took forever to take our order, we got old food and a large drink with only half of it in there! Manager was very rude!! They been out of Sugar for sweet tea for days.. This place needs to shut down..
Absolutely the worst Popeye's I have ever been to. I'll make this short. Lobby was closed, so I had to order through the drive-through. My vehicle wouldn't fit, so I walked up and they graciously took my order. As I was standing there, another customer rode up and almost hit me. I'm a big guy and easy to see. She cussed me out. I let her get her food and leave while I was still waiting for my food. Once I received my food, I walked back to my RV to discover that the order was wrong. I walked back. Again, lobby closed. Okay, no problem. I walked back up to the drive-through. This time, it was packed. Was finally able to tell her about the order issue. She proceeded to serve everyone who came through the drive-through for the next 30 minutes. I stood out in the rain and waited for my food. Once received, I proceeded back to my RV to find out that the lobby had opened. Once I opened my food, I found out that is was overcooked and my sides were missing. Worst location ever.
Sat in drive thru almost 40 mins. Nobody came over the intercom. Me and others were just sitting running out our gas. I had to get the person behind me to let me out so that I could get out of line and leave. Nobody was inside working. Saw two employees come outside and they are looking at the line l, giggling. As I was pulling out, one employee came outside with a piece of paper with something written on it. She stated to the guy who was ahead of me, that she was sorry for the long wait. I’m not sure how long he had been there before pulling up behind him. This is very unprofessional. All I wanted was dinner for my kids and I after a long day of work. I will not be stopping at this location for a while.
This is not a review from a one time experience, this is from an overall experience over the last 4-5 years. Starting off with the drive-thru, it's not 1st come 1st served. If your order takes longer than people's behind you, they make you pull forward and park right after paying (with or without a receipt) and make you wait anywhere from 10-40 minutes (even if you're just ordering a sandwich). Half the time your order is either incorrect or correct and sloppy. You feeling something in particular? Well most of the time they are out of everything you want. You have to constantly repeat your order, even inside, and still have a good probability of it being wrong... WORST FAST FOOD PLACE IN KILGORE.
This location used to be an OK place to eat once in a while. Recently though, the service has been slow. My last trip I waited in the parking lot for 30 minutes for my food to be brought out after going through the drive through. The food was excellent that trip however, and wound up being worth the wait. I decided to try again this evening because I needed a quick dinner. It was well before closing time, there were a couple other cars parked out front and I saw at least 2 employees inside working. I tried the drive through and waited nearly 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. Needless to say, I was very disappointed this trip and just decided to find something down the road for dinner. It's hard to go in to order when you have a car full of kids.
Took 20+ minutes sitting out front for my order then called in to see why its taking so long for a chicken sandwich and fries and still havent even begun to make it !!!!! Watching the two 12 yr olds working drive thru just walking around inside!!!!! And when does a number 1 cost 19.90 ???
Stopped in here a handful of times never had a good experience every time customer service sucks they always have a wait for everything on the menu if it isn’t chicken order has been wrong a couple of times
Got half a serving of shrimp and no biscuit just because my boyfriend didn’t give the cashier his phone number. SO unprofessional, I just wanted my food. I don’t believe there was a misunderstanding, the receipt was correct.
Ran my card in drive thru for someone else’s order. I bet they pocketed the money. Service is non existent. They often screw up orders. On one occasion they only had drive thru open as nobody showed up to work that day. Owner, you should give it up. This is a loosing franchise. Fought the charge through my bank for five months. It was like $60. Was determined these guys ran my card on my order and someone else’s it. We have been to this Popeyes about five times and they constantly screw up the order. One time they actually had no spicy chicken. Another time only drive through was open as only a couple of employees showed up that day. So dear owner: sell this store now! You have made a bad investment. Or get a better store manager.
Literally went 10 minutes ago picked a mobile order up for Dalton. Didn't get my 3pc tenders, placed the order damn near 30 minutes before getting there and still waited another 15 minutes, and the cherry on top is the kid that dropped my bag on the ground and still handed me the food.
Waited in the drive through for 20 minutes. They say one minute, then make you sit at the menu for extended period. I ordered one meal. I paid, they asked me to pull forward to wait on fries. A kid comes out on his phone, doesn’t look up as he hands me the bag, doesn’t say a word to me, nearly drops the bag, and walks off. I’ve been here a few times, the wait is always long, and the food usually cold. Not worth the $13-18 meals.
This is the worst Popeyes location in existence. They can't read an order to save their lives, the food is sub-par at best, and their attitudes are terrible (that's saying a LOT for Popeyes, as we expect a bad attitude at all their locations). I'm a huge fan of Popeyes, but every time I mention them to someone local, they respond with "Kilgore location ruined it for me". C'mon y'all, you're literally singlehandedly ruining the entire brand.
Food under cooked bad attitudes manager can't speak good english employees bring their small kids to work coughing and sick with a cold all over the tables in the dinning area playing in the bathrooms no home training! Sister dragging her brother all over the floor it was ridiculous! Manager did nothing said nothing didn't care! Manager argue with customers who want fresh properly cooked food she will sell you old food if you don't go in and watch and they don't do hand washing!
Today was the worst experience we have had at this place. They finally added their gravy to their online ordering and we ordered 6 of them thinking they would be the size of their 4 oz containers because that's what was in the picture. No, what we got was these little condiment containers HALF full that cost .99. I called them up and talked to the manager and she said that her workers probably thought that those containers where what the gravy went into and the other sauces cost .99 that goes into those same containers. No they do not, on the website they cost .25. I'm so sick of people not being trained properly and mangers making excuses to cover up their own short comings. On top of that we got stale, STALE food and we ordered 80.00 worth of it!!!!!! We will NEVER be coming back. This is just down right ridiculous. Mangers just don't care anymore, they aren't rotating their product probably. Just letting it sit under the heat lamp for hours.
We pulled up to the menu to order our food, and we had to wait for almost ten minutes even though there were almost no other customers at the drive-thru. And when we got our drinks, one of them was just straight carbonation, and my order for a frozen lemonade was wrong. Finally, when we tried to enjoy our food, it came with no utensils to use to eat, and the macaroni and cheese looked as if it was curdled.
Created an online order ahead of time. Arrived to the store and there was a sign posted they were closed, yet many employees still in the building. Knocked on window and asked what to do about an alone order as I would need a refund. Employee stated they can't do anything and doesn't know how apps work. Now I have to wait and go through corporate for a refund. I understand that things happen but this is the third time trying this location and have not had a good experience. I will unfortunately not return. Hope this store can find better management.
