1st class service! Delicious dishes! Super clean. Stunning decor! We were welcomed right at 5pm, opening. Dolma was yummy, Cherry Blossom tea with whipped cream was superb!! Had it cold. We had chicken & the rack of lamb. Baklava for dessert. They are doing everything right in here!! You will enjoy!!

We stumbled upon this lovely restaurant by accident tonight (Friday around 5:30 pm). Beautiful atmosphere, attentive service and amazing food! The value is very good for the amount and quality! If you like wine , they have $8.50 per glass of house wine. That’s extremely inexpensive for SoCal and especially in La Jolla! This place is great as a family atmosphere or for a romantic dinner. It’s a quieter environment which I really liked. I had the shrimp kabobs- came with a delicious green salad and generous portion of rice (see photo). I highly recommend this restaurant!!!

The food is PHENOMENAL. Service is excellent. My wife and I loved it so much, we went out of our way to come back and eat here again on our way home.

We had a nice late lunch here on a Sunday. Friendly service and great food. We both had lamb dishes. One was the Chef Special with sour cherries. The other was a lamb shank with rice. Both were very well prepared. The rice was perfectly cooked and not too moist. I look forward to coming again.

F i met a friend here for lunch and it was quite delicious. And I wish I could remember the names of the dishes that I had but here are some pictures of them! You can generally find parking on pearl street but if not you can pull on one of the side streets in parallel park there.

Absolutely amazing experience here! My family of 7 (including 2 young kids) enjoyed a beautiful New Year’s Eve dinner and everyone was raving about their food. Literally every dish was spectacular and as we discussed our favorite memories of 2023, everyone mentioned tonight’s dinner! Do yourself a favor and get your next meal here!

04/02 This was our first night here. I’ve been craving Afghanistan Food for a while. The food was amazing. The chief is a genius at making any dish or dessert with a crust very light and fluffy! Never heavy or greasy!! If you want truly good Afghani Food, give this place a try! You’ll love it!!

It was my first time eating Afghan food, and it was amazing - I love the design and the atmosphere, staff friendly attention and especially the food. I think it has something in common with Indian and Uzbek food - plov, kebab, soups. I am so happy I found it while traveling in San Diego.

I’ve passed this restaurant many times over the years, but just tried it today. The food was exceptional in its quality and nuances of flavor. We had the chicken kabob, filet mignon kabob, and the lamb zardaloo chalow for entres. Sambosas and eggplant for appetizers, and both desserts. All were very good. The filet mignon was a great value for the money, especially compared to a steakhouse. The zardaloo chalow was extremely good, especially if you like sweet stews. The lamb was excellently cooked and really melted in my mouth. I’ve had lamb at other places where it was chewy, this was not. The server was nice and attentive. I’d recommend this restaurant.

Omg I found this place again. I used to live in Temecula and I used to eat at Pamir ALL the time! I moved to OC and miss it so much. Unknowingly they moved to La Jolla and here we are I found them again. All the delicious flavors are still there. The kabobs, delicious unique stews, dumplings, sauces. Wonderful, inviting restaurant! I walk by here all the time and stopped in for lunch. I was worried I was underdressed given the cloth tableclothes, but they were very welcoming. We had the lunch specials with delicious, flavorful chicken kabob and kachaloo chalow with chicken! A real treat and we'll be sure to come back. Highly recommend! I am surprised there isn't a line out the door.

Tried Pamir Kabob House and loved it! The chicken shiah kebob and lamb kebob were juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Rice was fragrant, portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. Friendly staff and a nice, clean place. Definitely coming back!

Great authentic Afghan restaurant. The location was also very good and is on busy street with many other food and entertainment establishments. The food was excellent. The filet mignon (beef shish kabob) was perfect! I recommend trying it with Afghani bread instead of rice. The house salad was also typical Afghani salad. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for real Afghani food. There were, however, two downsides-Pepsi instead of Coke, and pita bread was not real pita bread but the Greek soft mushy dough. So, try the Afghani bread instead.

Clean facility, friendly owner. The aush soup was just ok, lacking flavor. The combo platter was good, the beef and chicken kebobs were perfectly grilled. The side of spicy sauce was good. Good option if you want to try something different.

The customer service was excellent. The food was freshly made and tasty. I gave four stars instead of five because I ordered the sambusas, there was hardly any filling in the puff. The beef meat filling was so skimpy it was like eating puffed empty pastry. I had a delicious beef kabob with rice and salad.
