Absolutely amazing experience here today with Claire! The drinks were delicious and served quickly. We only had a couple appetizers but they were also great! But really Claire made our entire night here. She was so sweet and answered all of our questions with so much patience and kindness.

Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast. We had the tuna tartare and it was a total happy-hour win—Roppongi-level taste at a “wait… is this really the price?” kind of deal. The vibe is relaxed and neighborhood-perfect, and the service is friendly and consistent. Also love that they’re amazing supporters of the La Jolla Vikings—community support matters. If you want more San Diego recommendations (or want to DM me for specifics), follow me on Instagram @lovelajollarealestate_ and I’ll send you my full favorites list.

Awesome experience, fast service, great food. Absolutely cannot beat the happy hour prices either. We went because it was close to our hotel at the holiday inn. I'd go back

Nautilus Tavern is an amazing place to host an event!! We threw our high school's 10 year reunion on their back patio and everyone had an incredible time. Courtney and her team helped us get all of the details finalized including games/layout, food (which was delicious btw), and photobooth package through their partnership with KPTZ Photo Booth (highly recommend!!). We had a slideshow playing and got to play our own music - all of the little details that really made the night a success. Everyone was super helpful and friendly day-of as well!!

An Incredible Spot – How Did I Not Come Here Sooner?! I’ve lived in San Diego for 21 years, and I’m honestly wondering how I never made it here before! I stumbled upon this place by chance—I just needed to use the restroom—but as soon as I walked in, I was completely impressed by the ambiance. It has the perfect balance of style and comfort, making it a great place to unwind. I ended up staying for a drink and some food, and everything exceeded my expectations. The cocktails were top-notch, the food was flavorful and well-prepared, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. This isn’t some hidden gem—it’s a well-known spot for a reason! If you haven’t been yet, make sure to check it out. You’ll be glad you did!

Fantastic restaurant that's extremely delicious! We were out walking around the beach and got a bit hungry so headed up the hill a couple blocks and found this place. We love outdoor dining and saw they had tables outside. One thing led to another and then we were stuffing great food into our faces. The menu has many options but we opted for an appetizer which was The Gilroy garlic cheese curds and they were very tasty. If you've ever had the cheese curds from the cheesecake factory, think that but better! Also the photo showing the cheese curds is missing quite a few cheese curds because I forgot to take a picture before we started eating them. We were both out walking around and so we opted for salads. I got the surf salad with ahi and it was mighty tasty. I got the wasabi vinaigrette dressing and it had a small kick to it but nothing too spicy and it complimented the flavors of the Ahi and the grilled veggies that are mixed within the salad. My fiancee went with the Cobb salad with the cilantro lime vinaigrette dressing and that was also delicious. She got chicken in hers and the chicken was cooked perfectly. We will be heading back there again so I will update with what other goodies we try when we actually dig into their plates and such. They do have other things such as fish tacos, wings, ceviche, burgers, pasta and more. It wasn't that busy for a early September Saturday and there was open tables around 1: 00pm. Although people did start coming in right after us. I was also surprised with the cost as it was not that expensive for the two salads and appetizer with a soda and a tea. Definitely a new favorite that we will back too. Update #1: tried the buffalo chicken sandwich with cheddar cheese and regular fries. A+++ / also tried club sandwich with steak fries, also A+++. Great food! Update #2: Tried the fish tacos. Also most excellent! The lady stuck with the Cobb salad with the cilantro lime dressing so nothing new on her side. Added photos of the delicious fish tacos.

This is a great Tavern! My husband and I stayed around the corner on our honeymoon and came to the Tavern everyday! Athena was our server I apologize if I spelt your name wrong. You invited us to your Christmas party and we had a blast just a day after our wedding. Thank you for our memories and the Philly cheese steak was the best we had! Please ask for Athena she make the best drinks! Thank you for our margaritas on the beach. We will definitely be returning on our next adventure! Thank you for your hospitality

Went here three days in a row and had excellent service, food, and drinks each day. Sounds like they have recently updated their menu so can’t speak to prior options. Had great beer selection and was told cocktails were also fantastic. Would highly recommend stopping by.

We landed on this spot because they were showing fights, and the food sounded good. We were very pleasantly surprised. The ceviche and coconut shrimp were so delicious we actually ordered them twice. The ceviche had a ton of flavor and the coconut shrimp was sweet without being overly sweet. We finished our night with the churro waffle. It was so good the only picture I took was while our group was devouring it. Highly recommend!

We went in for a quick delicious happy hour. Nice environment, great location and friendly service:) Been before…food is great, apps are awesome and drinks even better. Such a nice La Jolla staple for elevated bar food!

I stopped in here to kill some time near the beach. The staff was super welcoming and very friendly. All I got were a couple of waters and some tots (which were delicious) but the waitress still seemed happy to have me there. I did a crossword while enjoying the beautiful weather and listened to the Rufus du Sol Pandora playlist they were playing. Overall a really great experience! Whether you're looking to get some drinks or just hang out for a bit (or both) near Windansea, I recommend this spot!

Have been here twice within a weeks time. The first time we met around 20 people here for a big office gathering after five. The group ordered tons of different drinks and some food items. Nachos, fish tacos, fish and chips. We ordered fish and chips and they were so good. Great tasting fish and the batter wasn’t too heavy and had great flavor. So, we came back the following Friday for lunch and had more fish and chips. You’ve got to try them! So good!

I had the most delicious fried mahi mahi taco at this fun sports bar. The staff were friendly and attentive. The crowd was relaxed but cheering on their beloved Padres. A great place to hang out, have dinner and kick it with friends.

This place is so fire. Second time coming here in the last 2 days and literally is obsessed with the quality of food that we've been receiving. I like to judge a place based on the food freshness and, of course, their garlic aioli. To put this place in perspective, the garlic aioli at Nautilus Tavern is TOP mf NOTCH. Highly recommend checking this place out. Food recommendations: fish & chips, calimari & fries, poke bowl.

George the owner came into Vinny’s Barber Shop for a cut. He told me about this place. My neighbor Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center assorted me to the Tavern. We were pleasantly surprised when the DJ started to spin. Sure enough a line wrapped around with folks trying to get in. Kaisa was our waitress looked too young to be serving us. Who cares she was so friendly and her big smile was enough to make anyone return over and over again. Night two here at the Tavern Marshall after working a busy Friday night seated us and we ordered a bottle of Daou which was delicious. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Parking: 5 mins to find street parking at 730pm on Tues Ambience: Mellow Service: Amazing! our server was super friendly and efficient Food: I ordered the Whiskey Jerk Shrimp and the Nautilus Burger. The whiskey jerk shrimp was quite flavorful and the Nautilus Burger was a bit bland for me. Overall: food was good but the welcomingly friendly service brought it up a star.

Fairly good drinks. Aggressive bartender was taking selfies and talking about sexual exploits all night--made for a terrible atmosphere. Would not recommend. College bar.

Didn’t get a chance to try the food. Walked in and one employee just walked past us, not even acknowledging our existence so she could put stickers on the windows. We felt so awkward standing around while three different workers just ignored us. The bartender finally said hello and told us to sit wherever but we left because of the unwelcoming atmosphere.

Really, reserve every spot in the joint for the Super Bowl hours ahead of time. Great strategy. Alienate longtime local patrons to join the venues who do elite reserve only BS. Nice.

I, a strict vegetarian, ordered a cheese quesadilla from here and after repeatedly requesting no protein and only cheese in it, the quesadilla came back with chicken. Waste of $14. Never coming back. A similar situation happened to a friend but with blue cheese in her salad. This is unacceptable. If I was allergic to chicken and didn’t notice it inside the quesadilla, I could’ve had an allergic reaction and been seriously harmed. This is a safety violation and needs to be dealt with.
