This place rocks. I stopped in around 7:30 after a motorcycle ride out to Lake Buchanan. I ordered the Smashburger combo. Holy cow was it delicious. Whoever cooked that burger loves their job five stars all around.

This location has really stepped up its game! Been 3 times in 2 months & service & food has been incredible!! I've only been between 1:30 - 3pm times, so not during rush. Today I ordered #1, chs tots & tried their new Groovy fries which were crispy & delicious! Their burgers have been juicy, NOT burnt (like they used to be) & perfectly seasoned!!! Big kudos to the new, friendly staff, especially to the cooks,thank you!!! Nice job.
This sonic is very convenient to stop to get meals, pass right by going home BUT usually something is wrong. Today I ordered a burger with fries and chili dog with tots and chicken dinner, had two order of tots, no fries and the chicken was so over cooked that actually was nasty. Also the wrong change was given back to me(can't anyone count change anymore) was shorted $3 but that wasn't that big of a deal except it happens alot and orders messed up happen on a regular basis. I stopped going to that sonic but because it is convenient, decided to give it a try again. Will still stop there but will check carefully before leaving to make sure ALL of order is right and correct change from now on.
The chicken sandwich was inedible. Perhaps the spices were dropped in? I had to share my garlic butter cheeseburger, with my friend that got that gross fried chicken sandwich. Tots were hot, the garlic butter cheeseburger was phenomenal but that chicken was really bad. She made me taste it and it took an hour to get that taste out. Staff were very nice and all was great minus one major thing.
Ate here today. Fair to middlin'. The food was ok. But i may be a bit prejudice since I got the patty melt and, for some unknown reason, they put mustard on it! Blahhhh 😝 Very little sautéed onion. But mustard!!! Lesson learned! Round 2.... Went through drive thru for the Trick or Treat blast. It's a trick, y'all. A complete waste of money! Unless you want to pay $5 (for a small) for vanilla ice cream with a couple mini M&M's in it. Had more on top than thru the rest of it. And I can't even make any excuses for them. Not busy. No one else in drive thru. Think I'm going to have to go to Georgetown...
Ordered large fries with my chicken tenders.. looks more like a small (check picture) then I ordered a Rootbeer, but they put Dr.Pepper (luckily I noticed before food came).. Also ordered 2 cheeseburger meals with fries and they came out without the fries... Food is barely warm as well.. Gabriell brought the food out and was professional by reading me the order first and being apologetic about the mistakes. So the 3 stars are only there due to her having good customer service.
My husband got a double smash burger combo.He said it was ok he also asked for a heath blast, but received a resees blast. So they got that wrong!!! I got a double cheeseburger combo no condiments it was just ok nothing to rave about.
We went last night after dinner. Pushed the button, and were told someone would be with us shortly. We pushed it again after 10 minutes-same message-no service. Waited 15 minutes and no one came. In the meantime people were coming and going through their drive thru lane. When we left 2 employees were sitting on the picnic tables out front. They could have been on break, but it still left a bad taste in our mouths about what was going on in there. We ended up at Dairy Queen.
We ordered our food on the app and sat at the pick up area there. There was another car next to us who had been there a while. 15 minutes pass they've yet to get their meal and neither have I. I watch as other people who had did app orders come and wait for a while. People started to get out of their cars to get their food. I watch as my food is given to another car. That car complains that it's not their food. They were beside us. I know it was ours because I could see what was in it. The woman man handled the food before handing it back to the waitress. We stop her and ask what was going on it had been twenty minutes. She argues with me our food was not given to them but it says we are parked in thar person spot. I showered her my app and receipt proving we are in the correct spot. She argues it before walking back and with in less than a minute comes back and hands the food. No way she switched out food that quickly and talked to her manager. She hands our food. It's missing part of it, it's cold and nasty. The soda had no syrup in it and the pretzel was burnt. Don't recommend this sonic. Have nothing but problems with service and quality of food is hot and miss.
No stars. Royally messed up a simple order. Then found a spider in my daughter’s blue raspberry slush. Don’t eat here.
We pulled up to the drive-thru speaker to order, but no one responded. After waiting about 10 minutes with still no answer, we decided to pull forward to the window. A friendly lady opened it, and we realized the guy who was supposed to be taking orders didn’t even have his headset on. She tried to get our order through him, but he seemed annoyed we had pulled up and wasn’t paying attention. She laughed and said, “Oh my gosh, this guy is going to be the death of me.” It seemed like we were going to have to drive back around, but by then the line behind us had grown long, so we just left.
This location consistently has issues. The last five+ times we’ve gone, something is wrong. I have tried to be patient and understanding but it’s too much at this point. I’ve contacted customer service via the app a couple times because of the issues but even through the app the customer service is lacking solution and compassion. I explained the issues prior i.e. missing items, completely melted ice cream, etc - I’ve only used the app to order. I was offered a free sundae that expired in 30 days because of missing food items one of those times - it was a burger missing... That didn’t even make sense nor did it ever appear on my account. I can’t even eat ice cream but I was so exhausted going in circles with the customer service chat I gave up. I acknowledge the app is not directly connected to this location, but seems Sonic as a whole has drastically gone downhill. This last visit I’d ordered 4 drinks and food for my 4 year old. Three Rt44 cups and a kids cup. I have a leg cast currently and a cane as well as a young child. We were taking this all home to carry inside. I was sure to click to add a drink carrier because I literally cannot carry 4 drinks. I parked in a mobile order pick up stall. The girl came out without a drink carrier so I asked for it again and she said they were out (scrolling other reviews, I’m not the first being told this). I have a very hard time believing they were out and if that is true and an issue for others, someone is slacking on supply orders. She said she would go back and check since I explained I don’t even have 4 cupholders anyway. She came back with the magical “last drink carrier they had”. As she handed me the carrier full of drinks through my window in a manner that seemingly felt aggressive, 3 x Rt44 and a kids cup mind you, she spilled them on me… then asked if I needed anything else as she walked away unfazed that she just spilled drinks on me and inside my car. Apathy in the workplace is unacceptable. She made me feel like I was inconveniencing her where she’s paid to be and I paying as a customer. I was completely baffled. I had to decompress, got out of my car (again, I have a leg cast right now), tried to clean myself up, clean up the cups and the now soaked cup carrier. I went to Sonic for drinks and my son to get a Wacky Pack to celebrate an important day for him and this is how it turned out. We will not be visiting Sonic any time soon and it breaks my heart for my son. I can’t even eat any of the food on the menu because of allergies but he loves the Wacky Pack corn dog so I go for him. Consistent inconsistency and issues at every visit… this last visit was the final straw and I’m seeing that I am not the only one. Half the time the app doesn’t even work to redeem rewards and other tech issues. I was told by customer service to delete the app and redownload which yes, I was able to then use the 1/2 price drinks, but that is ridiculous to have to do in order to use their deals. Again, acknowledging the app is separate from this location but clearly an issue many other customers have dealt with. Sonic used to be such a fun experience, good food, great service and I was so happy to finally have one nearby but I have officially lost respect for this location and will not be going back.
Sunday, not busy, 30 min for a bog standard burger and milkshake. They noticed at minute 15 but I had to still ask about my order 15 minutes later. The best part was the ice-cream was half melted. Save some frustration and go to the Texas stop sign down the road.
Submitted a mobile order for two drinks and a sundae. When we arrived there were only 2 others at the restaurant. We sat in the mobile pick up spot for about 10-12 minutes past the the initial pick up time. Called the restaurant as instructed on the sign, and no one answered. A few minutes later, walked inside to ask - I would assume the manager let the girl know who I asked the mobile order was just sitting on the counter. So it had been made and just sitting there for like 20 minutes?? As I walked back to my car noticed the sundae was completely melted into liquid, obviously, makes sense. Walked back in and asked them to remake. The guys working there seemed a little put out by it but the young girl was apologetic. Not a great experience.
Waited over 30 minutes for a mobile order which was then wrong, had to wait an additional 20 minutes in the drive thru for it to be fixed. Was not offered a refund or coupons or anything and workers seemed like they were inconvenienced by making my request right. Absolutely the worst Sonic I’ve ever been to.
The staff was nice and apologetic when I finally got out of my car to ask why 4 drinks were taking almost an hour to get after watching multiple people who pulled in way after me get their orders and leave, I ordered at 12:33 on the app for order ahead and am just now leaving at 1:29 with drinks in hand (literally had to carry them to my car because they didn’t have a drink carrier apparently?!?!). They need to hire more people at this location, almost an hour for just drinks is insane, can’t even imagine how long I’d still be sitting here if I had added food to the mix. If I had the option to cancel my order & go I would have but the Sonic app makes that nearly impossible to get a refund since it’s all based on franchise locations. Do better and do better for your staff!
This is absolute garbage. Ordered on the app and waited an hour and a half for food. Still missing a part of the order when we left and THIS is what the coney they delivered looked like. Robbery and gross food. I'm complaining to anyone who will listen. This place needs to close. IMMEDIATELY.
Just lost my business. Prices have gone up, but typically I’d still get decent portion sizes. But the past several visits, I’ve been getting half if not less than half the normal portion sizes. So to recap, higher prices and lower portion sizes=scam. I payed 5 dollars for 3 tater tots, half the amount of eggs this burrito should have, 1 strip of bacon, and a couple burnt dry pieces of sausage. There was more tortilla than filling.
