Gelateria La Baracca Lissone Reviews
Gelateria vecchio stampo, solo il fatto che facciano ancora il gusto Malaga la dice tutta..beh io ci vado solo per quello! Cortesia, pulizia e gelato ottimo ed abbondante. La brioche con gelato un must!
Best Gelato in Italy! The kindest family owns and operates this hidden but well known gem! We have the best memories of them hosting our first child’s first birthday, and tasting all the flavors while getting a behind the scenes look at gelato production on a small commercial scale.
I've been coming here since I was little. It's a place close to my heart. Everything here is delicious and the people are incredibly kind. If you're passing by, you absolutely must stop by.
A historic ice cream shop in Lissone, and there's a reason why! The granita is truly delicious, not the usual chunks of ice with added "flavor." The atmosphere is dated, but the quality of the products is superb!
An iconic place from the golden age of artisanal gelato. Truly high-quality gelato, generous servings at a fair price. The addition of black cherries in syrup is highly recommended. The owners are courteous and very friendly.
Luckily, everything is as it once was: excellent ice cream, excellent cream. Top-notch service. Authentic tradition. The only thing that needs updating are the light bulbs, because more light is needed to illuminate the shop as it deserves and also make it known to new customers (and save on bills).
Delicious Galato. Both the zuccotto and the tiramisu are must-trys: they deserve top marks. And for Christmas, don't miss the panettone with ice cream inside... baked and eaten down to the last crumb.
We went there today for the first time, after a recommendation on Google. The products are good, tasty, and delicious. There were four of us, and we all enjoyed our choices. The staff was very kind and hospitable, as I wish all restaurant owners were: you feel welcomed. The place is beautiful and spotlessly clean. What else?
Being from Lissone, I'm a little biased, but their gelato is truly special, a gelateria with a retro charm. If you stop by, you absolutely must try the nougat flavor, because it would be like going to Milan and not seeing the Duomo. Another unparalleled flavor is the salted pistachio.
Artisanal gelato, nothing short of excellent. The place is welcoming, clean, and tidy. The staff is friendly and always available. There's a wide variety of flavors (the cream is especially excellent) and the prices are affordable.
A historic ice cream shop not only in Lissone but also in Brianza. No frills, but high quality. All homemade, from gelato to parfaits, from popsicles to hard ice cream. Excellent coffee. Definitely worth a try.
"True" artisanal gelato. Forget the flavors you're used to, made with powders and various sugary concoctions. Here, gelato is still made the way it was made 60 years ago. Yes, because the Magros have been in business since about 1960 and know their stuff. La Baracca (there's no sign because it's not needed) makes artisanal gelato using "common" ingredients. Some might be disappointed, accustomed to the synthetic flavors they're used to. The popsicles and granitas are excellent, with syrups always made in-house. One last tip... if you stop by in the morning, try one of their brioches!!! One of the best gelatos in Italy.
A tradition passed down over time, dedicated to the care and pursuit of consistently high-quality products. Simply taste any of the many flavors La Baracca offers to realize the difference between commercial gelato and their artisanal gelato, made with genuine ingredients. La Baracca in Lissone is an institution where courtesy, quality, and professionalism have always been their strengths...and the people of Lissone know this well. I also recommend that out-of-towners stop by, and who knows, while you're enjoying a delicious gelato, an international musician might drop by to offer a brief musical entertainment...because La Baracca has always been open to promoting all the cultural initiatives organized by the municipality of Lissone, both for adults (music, exhibitions, art) and for children, with tastings and hands-on lessons on how to make gelato.
The great thing about this old-fashioned gelateria is that it offers not only loose gelato in cones or cups, but also rolling pins and popsicles. I love their aniseed popsicle. The staff is friendly, although they sometimes make me a little nervous. The prices are average.
The granita is beyond compare, superb, not watery, and truly delicious. The gelato is also really good. Only the location is a bit dated in terms of decor.
Tried it for the first time as a takeout and I have to say it was very good. 1 star less for the pistachio, which wasn't up to par with the other spreads. Worth trying again for the 5 star.
Strengths: The ice cream and hot chocolate are really good. Weaknesses: Few flavors, but above all, the decor is the same (or at least it looks the same) as when I was a child (and it's definitely been a few years ;-)), which makes the atmosphere a bit "stale"... Without necessarily having to adapt to the style that recently characterized other competing establishments, a "freshening up" could certainly do them good!
Gelato buono, sono loro cliente da anni. Un suggerimento:andrebbe aggiornato sul sito l'orario di apertura e chiusura dell'esercizio.
