Hop Devine Livermore Reviews
Had a great meal and tried several different craft beer options. This is a must visit restaurant for anyone living in Springtown.
It's another pub. It does have a lot of tables and space for larger parties. The two IPA's we tried were really good as was the pretzels and fried calamari. The staff was very attentive ans service oriented.
Can't wait to go back. Tried this place for the first time, found via google. Ambience can be a bit intimidating if you aren't local or if you're not someone who drinks. They had plenty of sports events playing on their tvs. They have these neat long benches, seated ourselves & server didn't keep us waiting at all. Hands down this place has THE BEST coconut shrimp I've ever tried. Everything ordered was AMAZING. Service was great & attentive.
Friendly staff, delicious food -- what more can you ask!? We thought this location meant not very good food, and the outdoor seating was all blown over and junky so we wondered if they were even opened still... But they were open and it was delicious!! Poké salad (was amazing!!), whatever burger my husband got, kids split the Aloha burger, kids' Mac... Would definitely recommend skipping Vasco rush hour and eating here!
Quite a nice beer selection. Food was also delish. We ordered the pkoe nachos...turned out to be a mound of ahi plus chips (etc) and was plenty for a starter. I had the Jalapeno Tri Tip Wrap. The meat was tasty...whole thing hit the spot. Wife got the Fish sandy, another winner. Beer selection varies from light to heavy. Prices are slightly higher here (around $9/pint).
We stumbled across this place accidently and I'm so glad we did. They had a really nice beer selection with beer on tap from local breweries. The food was amazing! Whoever decided that the poke nachos was a thing should win some kind of award. And even though they were fairly busy, the service was fast, friendly and attentive. I hope to make it back here some day.
A great place for good food and drink. Staff is friendly and take their time to get your order correct. Both family style and regular table seating with the completed expansion. A wide variety of food but a bit pricey for what you get.
This is always a good decent place to go for lunch or dinner. Their cocktails are always good, and the ahi tuna nachos are one of my teams must haves.
Just went in for drinks and appetizers 2 times while in town. 5 of us first time. Sat at the bar, drink service was slow at the bar, food was fast. Went back a couple nights later alone, and the bartender then was on point amazing. Food was decent nothing spectacular but pretty good.
Great food, it was a busy night, so the service was good, we had a large group after a family graduation, and at this restaurant it is difficult to hear one another, however the food flavors make up for atmosphere or choose to go in a smaller group. This restaurant needs a few more plant based options. I ordered their strawberry salad, and it was perfect. I totally recommend trying Brussel sprouts .
Come early. Wear stretchy pants. Don't usually go this far in Livermore, but glad my friend introduced me to this spot. 1. Parking: tons, it's in a plaza with lots of other businesses 2. Self seating right as they opened at 1130. Already 8 other groups waiting!! 3. Service: We didn't have any issues, friendly staff. 4. Atmosphere: Loud 5. Now the food.. Coconut Shrimp: man those came out piping hot! good crisp, shrimp had great flavor. Comes with a sweet and sour dipping sauce that goes perfect with it. Onion Rings: I had to. wasn't disappointed. Love the creamy sauce that it came with. Good balance . Poke Salad: Perfect amount of dressing. My ONLY complaint, was that some of the pieces of tuna were a little chewy? The tuna should really melt in your mouth. $17 for the salad, portions were good, I left full. Def will be back!
We used to love Hop Devine for reliable, great American food, but our recent visit was a bit disappointing. While the service remains excellent and the food is still tasty, there has been a noticeable shift: the portions feel quite a bit smaller now, and the prices have definitely crept up
The food is good but not the quality you would expect from what theyre charging. Staff is nice and attentive. We had 6 people on our party so they added the tip automatically, likley giving themselves 20%.
I had high hopes because the reviews were good, but I cannot recommend this place. The server was clearly not happy to be there, and the food was aggressively average. I had the sweet potato tots, they were just fried little balls of smashed sweet potato. Not good. The pork belly sandwich had good flavor but was unbelievably tough and chewy. The beer selection, at 24 taps, is decent.
Food was decent, service was awful. We were never asked how things were doing or if we needed anything. It took until we ordered dessert to have our plates cleared from our appetizers and main courses (7 of us, mind you). It took a long time to get the server to come over and ask if we were good or not, so it took a while to get dessert order in....and it wasn't even a check in at that time, she just handed us to go boxes that we didn't ask for. By the time we were finished, my husband and I were definitely going to tip less for our service but then she just declares that tip is automatically charged 20% for parties of 6 and more. No wonder she didn't care about providing decent service. What a joke. Won't be back. Which is unfortunate because it was roomy in there. ( And no, it wasn't busy at the time we went, quite empty actually with plenty of employees standing around talking and laughing loudly)
I got the Cali Burrito. Look at the picture. That is a french fry wrap. And to kick me while I was down - it came with a side of fries. Any lawyer in California would agree that legally can’t be called a burrito. That was a french fry wrap. That fact this was served to me was insulting. If you were curious, yes, I ate the whole thing. To be fair, I was in a rush. The food took 45 minutes to show up. You can’t be proud of serving this. I know that for a fact.
I gave this place two chances, but the food quality didn’t justify the high prices. The first time, I got a severely overcooked chicken sandwich. The second time, I ordered a French dip that was burnt, dry, and tasted like old meat, it made me feel sick for the rest of the afternoon. The food felt like generic Sysco slop with little care or effort put into it, just no love. Honestly, I should have taken a photo to show how bad it was. Service was okay, but very slow.
