Project Barley Lomita Reviews
There are quite a few beers to choose from. They don't have flight racks, but you can get 4 Oz pours. I got the Marine layer ipa, key lime pie sour, and stout. They were all good, I probably liked the sour best but, I do like sours. The food options were a bit limited, but that's fine cause I love pizza. I built my own pizza, bacon, jalapeno, and pineapple. The pizza was really good. It was a bit heavy, but it was because there was a good amount of sauce and cheese. I would totally come back again, especially with the live music!
Came for happy hour Tuesday through Friday 4-6pm. Bartenders know the beer explain what you like, and they will give recommendations since the names are craft and unfamiliar. They are partner with a pizzeria in the same building. 2 slices and a pint for $12 was a good deal 👌
This place is truly a gem in our little town! There is always a new craft beer to try (my current fav is Southside Red. Although the Beach Trip triple IPA is stellar). The live music never disappoints; from bluegrass to the piano man to bands. Staff is super helpful when you have questions about the beer. And the pizza! Give the pastrami pizza a try!
Great little brewery with easy access to food. The pizza smelled amazing as we came in from the back parking lot. Will have to try it next visit. Beers were all good; I tried flight of 4. Good enough variety to please everyone. Thorpe's Hanger DIPA and the Penrod's Imperial Stout were fantastic. Tasting room is more finished than most basic breweries, and they've got a great live music rotation.
Incredible spot for live music and great beers. LA needs more spots like this. We need live music!I had the best time and the pizza was FANTASTIC. Love the 86 pizza. Red amber ale was my favorite. Can't remember the exact name but it was smooth!
This brewery has amazing craft beer. Every single time we've (my better half)ever stopped in we have never been disappointed. Staff is friendly and cool, live music is an awesome touch at night. And they have a craft pizza shop now too!!! Walk/bike down the street or take a drive over....worth it!!!!😎🍻
amazing beers amazing Acoustics wonderful community. so glad these guys are back in action. really a wonderful wonderful add to our community so sorry for that crazy Year please let support them and bring them back to life with a big kick
(Note: This review is during the 2020 pandemic.) I had the pleasure of stopping by Project Barley after hearing a recommendation that I should try their Oktoberfest beer. I ordered it easily online and got a text message when it was ready. Coming into the parking lot, there is a lot of space (at least on a Saturday) to park easily. The brewery itself is pretty big. Coming in from the parking lot side, you pass by a nice outdoor area that is covered with a tarp with some tables and chairs. Coming in, you're greeted with gloves if you want them and hand sanitizer. Walking through, you come to the big bar area that is gorgeously set-up. The cashier area has plexiglass which is where I went to pick up my order. While waiting for the beer, I took a gander and saw a large chalkboard with all the beers to try for the day. The area inside was fairly large - would love to come back when indoor seating is open again. I finally got to try the Marzen Oktoberfest at home, and it was a delight. I'm a big amber ale fan as well as Oktoberfest fan and this hit the notes for both for me quite well. The can is fairly large and filled up two pints at home. The process was super easy - hope to be back again soon!
Good beer selection. Live music. Good food selection. Pet friendly. Kid friendly. Parking in the back of brewery. Great servers. All around a great local bar that is definitely supported and a hidden gem I'd say. Would definitely come back with friends. Have nothing but good things to say!
Great beer, live music, and the pizza joint in back is awesome. Definitely a cool spot!
The band Joker’s Hand performed original songs and cover songs during its gig on March 5, 2023. Matt and Kevin are talented musicians. They will be back on 4/7/23. Apparently also Matt’s birthday ;) Thursday is karaoke night with Mitch. Come prepared to sing. Lots of talent here; including Angie the Bar’s boss. Modern Times beer was fruity and not to sour. 7 dollars The Rose house wine is decent too. Water is free. Self serve. You have to pull the can. See photo. Cheese garlic bread is just under $7. Including marinara
Project Barley offers a wide variety of delicious beer in a relaxed environment. You can order food here, and there's a band now and then. You can't go wrong.

I came for the line dancing. It was so fun. The instructor was great. I think i learned. Lol
Loved our first visit to Project Barley! The atmosphere was laid-back, friendly, and full of good vibes—the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. Huge shoutout to Zha for making us feel so welcomed and taken care of. It was our first time, but it’s definitely not our last. The beer selection? Top notch. Whether you’re into hoppy IPAs, smooth lagers, or something a little more adventurous, they’ve got something for every palate. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

ame here with another couple to listen to a Bluegrass Jam. Really enjoyed the music and beer was good. We tried a sampler which is a great way to taste a wide range of their offerings. We really enjoyed the Pernod Percolator. They allow dogs and there's a pizza place right next door if you want something to eat. We didn't try the pizza but it seems a lot ordered one.
It is nice brewery but unfortunately with less variety of my favorite 🍺 IPA ( just 2)

Music was great, beer diverse and interesting as always at a project barley (THANK you for having dark beer) We came to this location for the pizza though, which underwhelmed (the veg). Took 45 minutes on a quiet Friday night to arrive Luke warm, with the answer 'sorry I got distracted'. And the pizza itself... $44 after tip (pizza only) and Underwhelming. I'll come here for the beer, music, coolness. But not food.
The bartender was very helpful. Tried several beers, there were several that were not to our taste. We decided on the Cerveza Noche and Thorpes Hammer. They were good. You have to go into the pizzeria to order and pick up.food. we had the cauliflower bites and zucchini sticks from the pizzeria.

I came on Saturday night and the service at the bar was great. I ordered some fries at the pizzeria and they gave me a buzzer. Once it lit up, I went to pick it up at the counter but no one came to help me and I was in a rush since the game was on. I called for someone’s attention even though two people clearly saw me standing there. The lady that finally came to help me seemed annoyed and when I asked for ketchup she rolled her eyes and said they didn’t have any.

The service at the bar was outstanding. We didn’t appreciate the guy in the kitchen area who told us we had to order our food at the counter and pick it up ourselves. He didn’t say anything as we tipped him. During the course of the evening we noticed other patrons order from their table and the food was brought to them. Things like this disappoint customers and question if they’ll return or not. Besides his deception and laziness, everything else was great.
If I could leave minus Stars for customer service and the straight ignoring by staff. I would. Usually you greet and if you're busy. You say I'll be with you as soon as I can. But not here. It's like ignoring and not acknowledging your customers till they leave. I would never recommend going here.
