Enrique's Mexican Restaurant Long Beach Reviews
Thai is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant in Long Beach. The food is fantastic. The portions are huge. The salsa is delicious. Service is spectacular. There is literally nothing negative I could say except for maybe they don't have a full bar but everything else more than makes up for it!
First time here, small and quaint. Had a fish taco and a shrimp taco and both were very delicious. Looking forward to comig back here again
This place made me fall in love with chili Colorado and don’t get me started on their salsa. Out of this world.
We’ve been going here for about 10 years now. Always delicious, portions are nice and big, parking is pretty easy and there’s never too long wait of a wait
This place is a hidden gem ! They greeted us as they seated us in a booth w/a beautiful table ! They took our drink order & gave us Chips with their homemade Salsa (really good)! By far the best Mexican food ! The prices are reasonable ! We ordered burritos , one with Chicken w/Red chili sauce w/lettuce , cheese & Guacamole ($1.50) moreone with Chili Verde Carnitas w/Lettuce, cheese & Guacamole ($1.50) more, but worth it ! Both burritos were huge filled with lots of meat ! With refried beans & rice ! Both were very delicious ! We took more than half of both burritos !
Been eating here for at least 20 years and it’s My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Long Beach/ north OC area. And I’ve eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants. Everything here tastes so much fresher and more authentic than other places that are more expensive. I’m picky about salsa and their table salsa is the best I’ve ever had. Guacamole is really good too. I’ve Never had a bad or average meal there.
A Long Beach classic. In a world where $8 street tacos are deemed “authentic” by some white dude in a trucker hat, Enrique’s is just over here making massive portions of comfort food. I love their carne asada plate, especially when Enrique is there. Their Carne En Su Jugo is a go-to as well. There is a huge pork leg that isn’t on the menu that is pretty stupid-good, too. Oh yeah! The steak & shrimp skewers, too. It’s been in business for a long time and still has big lines of you catch it at a busy time, so check the wait here on google first. Oh yeah - it’s family-owned, too - and they’re just a wonderful family. Seeing exactly who your hard-earned money goes to, especially when they’re good folks, is a huge plus in my book. Just go. Enrique’s is awesome.
Amazing food! Decent prices and great service. Went with my whole family and everyone ordered something different and everyone loved their food! Would definitely return and highly recommend!
I picked this place since we would be in Long Beach and I just assumed it was a little hole in the wall. Boy was I wrong.... Started with the chips and salsa and was impressed by the flavor. Hubby passed since it was loaded with cilantro but I devoured the entire bowl by myself! He asked for spicy salsa and was given a bowl of habanero salsa. Usually when you get something like this it's just FIRE hot but this had great flavor. IF you like heat, ask for it! I initially wanted tacos, beans and rice but I was talked into the Chile Rojo plate. I like a good chile Colorado. The was delicious and I am pretty picky when if comes to the red sauce. The meat was a little dry and I would have liked a little more sauce on the plate but it definitely would be a go to on my next order. The plate came out so hot the red sauce was bubbling like lava! Hubby got the tres taco platter and it was legit! The potato taco was the bomb! SO much food we could not finish our plates! Great restaurant. I was bummed because I wanted a margarita on the rocks but they only carried slushy ones. They have beer, too, but I wasn't in the mood for that. It's close to CSULB and the VA hospital. Definitely glad we tried it.
My intake of fried food decreases so much every year. The chips taste alright and the salsa is tasty. I have to save half the meal for lunch the following day because I get full half way through the meal. There is a decent amount of seating. The customer service is good (in my experience) and the prices are okay. For as much as I've come to experience of the eatery, I think it's a decent eatery providing home-cooked-vibes.
It’s very small, and fills up so fast! The food, however, is excellent and the service is always so friendly. I loved their salsa full of fresh tomatoes, but with roasted peppers to give it a deep charred flavor. Put on top of their rice, it’s phenomenal. I know it sounds incredibly pedestrian, but their cheese quesadilla is one of the best. They use White Mexican cheese, and they keep their flower tortilla nice and soft during the cooking.
The food was really good quality but the restaurant was a tad bit musky smelling. I avoided the restroom area because you had a pungent smell. If you go to this restaurant just get seated in the front of the restaurant by the doors and I’m not in the back. The food was very flavorful with a authentic twist.
Been here 30 times in three years. I went back today. The hostess put our name on the wait list. Waited outside 15 minutes for a booth. Watched a few couples leave. The hostess forgot about us. Walked in asked, and they seated us. There were three empty booths, which I pointed out. The hostess said they just emptied and just cleaned them. I expressed that is hard to believe. she got very huffy and glared at me. We left. It will be a while before we go back, if ever.
