Ecuadorian Restaurant Long Island City Reviews
Just a few blocks away from the 7 train on Queens Boulevard we stopped by this small spot on the corner and let me tell you, it's exactly what people say that the best food is found in the smaller restaurants vs the fancy big company restaurants. This place is small so if you are planning on visiting please make sure you get there early then usual because if you don't you will get stuck outside and wait for a little bit. They only have maybe 10 total tables and you literally have to wait until a table is available, but hands down the wait is soooo worth it. The music makes me feel like I'm having a family dinner in the backyard, the service was perfectly crafted as they catered us to the fullest and made each individual person in their as they were kings and queens! What a great experience it was I recommended this place to several people already and now I recommend it to you all enjoy and Bon appetit! If you love New York City Pictures Follow me on IG Instagram @nyctme & @nycprimeshot This place definitely deserves ✨⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
Wonderful food. Caring service. Bravo for all staff of this place. Thank you for our great lunch. PS calamari were so good that I almost forgot to take a picture
This place is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The service was excellent and very attentive, and the drinks were absolutely delicious. I tried one of their signature cocktail and a margarita, and both were amazing — I honestly hadn’t had a margarita this good in a long time. The food was just as great, with generous portions at a very fair price. The ambience is very cozy, and you can really tell it’s a family-owned business, which makes the experience feel even more special. I would definitely come back.
This was my first time trying ceviche and the ceviche de camarón set the tone right away, bright, refreshing, and balanced, with clean flavors that didn’t need to shout to be memorable. 🍤 We also ordered bolón de chicharrón,, churrasco cooked just right, and salchipapa that felt nostalgic and indulgent. But the chaulafán was my favorite. A Spanish-style fried rice with everything in it meats, vegetables, seasoning, the kind of dish where every bite is different but still comes together perfectly. Who doesn’t love a fried rice that doesn’t hold back?
Wow You want Good authentic Ecuadorian food . This place is a must the flavor reminded me of home. The service was 💯 excellent. I am definitely coming back 🙏 Thank you so much to the staff Krys , Angelo. Steph 🫶🫶🇪🇨🇪🇨 @Rincón Melania
Food 4.5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 4/5 Value 4.25/5 First time trying Ecuadorian food and it was a great experience here. Good food. Big portions. And reasonable prices too. Loved the house green sauce and parking right infront of the restaurant too! Skirt steak 4.5/5 Mixed seafood ceviche 4/5 Picalo (chicken, sausage Rib) 4/5
Update 12/8/24: party of 12 for my dad's birthday celebration, food was great as always but service was definitely lacking this time around. No check up, no water, no napkins, when we asked one of the servers for anything she had attitude and rolled her eyes a few times. All other servers were amazing and kind but definitely not attentive today. Loved my entire experience here. Really busy at 1pm for lunch but well worth the wait . Food took sometime to come out but when it did , it was so fresh and straight out the stove. Prices are amazing for the amount of food you get. Huge portions and everything delicious! The cheese Bolon was my favorite ! The fish encebollado was amazing. The ceviche too. I can't wait to go back ! Update: went on a Saturday afternoon with my kids, we were seated right away despite it being busy. The food came out pretty fast, all straight out of the kitchen hot, fresh and delicious. Service was amazing, this place never disappoints.
Amazing Ecuadorian restaurant. Portion size is huge, imo. Very filling. We ordered the llapengachos, mix seafood ceviche, entrana, churrasco, bandera and fruit drinks. Delicious. Took the leftovers for our next meal. Love their rice and pinto beans. Can get packed. Front has parking for 3 cars.
In my radar for a bit. My caldo de bola was epic, hadn’t had it in so long and it was great. A friend tried the Bandera; shrimp ceviche was a bit tiny but seco and guatita were good portions. Guatita is always a challenging dish for flavor and tbh did not love it 100%, it was ok. Complimented with lulo and tree tomato shakes… which were delicious
Second time here - both for office lunch parties - and once again they did not disappoint. Everything Ive eaten here is perfectly seasoned and delicious - I highly recommend the cazuela de mariscos (seafood stew) it was phenomenal. The service was friendly and always available to help, even though we had a large party, and probably stayed into their dinner time. I look forward to going back.
I went to Rincón Melania yesterday with my wife, my parents, and my sister for dinner. My wife and I had been there once before and convinced my mother, a native Ecuadorian, to come try the food. We ordered the grilled octopus and bolon mixto as appetizers. Both were really great. My sister and I I enjoyed a drink similar to a margarita (forgot the name), which was also good. As an entree, my wife ordered the enecebollado de pescado (fish soup made of tuna), which she loved. I tried it and loved it too. It was filling and she brought home the leftovers. I had la bandera, which was good, but not mind blowing. The rice was great; but I thought the goat was mostly bones. I had substituted the tripe for hen, and thought that was mostly bones too. The ceviche was REALLY good. For dessert, we ordered the flan and chocolate mousse. The flan was very bland, but the chocolate mousse was great. I honestly wish I had tried the caldo de bola. We had ordered it the first time and I loved it so much. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! The service is great here and they let you dance salsa :) We’ll be back!
As an Ecuadorian, I’m always on the lookout for the most authentic Ecuadorian food out there. This place was good. Not the best. The Bolon was good just needed more salt or seasoning. Very different take of the traditional bolon as this was way crispier than I’m used to. The ceviche was good as well. It reminded me of my dad’s recipe, highly recommend. The other dish we got was el Yapingacho and it was delicious. If you are in the area try them out and see for yourself!
After clearly explaining my order to the young waitress for my wife and I, two different dishes, she still brought us the same two dishes. I returned one and said "this is not what I ordered". I watched my wife have her dish for at least 15 min before I received my correct dish.. the place was not busy at the time. The intense draft from the front door was unbearable. All this created a bad experience and I will not recommend this restaurant.
Unfortunately tik tok lied about this place. The meat is dry, the bolon has no taste and the ceviche isn’t good at all, taste like ketchup. I ate the shrimp and left the whole soups, 18 bucks for nothing! Btw there was literally 8 shrimp in my ceviche. Mediocre food at expensive prices. Not worth the hype, the time or price. The food isn’t great, although the place is beautiful inside. The service is decent, but I wouldn’t ever come back. This place is for non-Ecuadorian people who do not know about the taste from back home. Focus on kids menus as well.
