Maria's Tortillas Los Angeles Reviews
This is my 2nd time coming here. The first time I went for lunch wasnt planned. I was going to go try another place in that same plaza. But something told me to go check them out. This time we decided to have their breakfast a try. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food taste like a home cooked meal. They also make fresh tortillas and chips, much sure to buy a pack. I ordered Huevos Ranchiros and it was so savory. I liked that they use their own tortillas for the rancheros. The breakfast burritos taste homemade, and I'm pretty sure they use their homemade tortillas as well. Definitely will be going back.
Best Playa Burrito I’ve had so far!
2nd time there. Food is good. Opens at 9am. get there early.
The best breakfast burritos in town !!! I ate the playa breakfast burrito. Fresh juices & more !!

First stop we made after landing in California. I didn't order anything but my 3 sisters did and they loved their food. I can't lie it did smell amazing but the place was too pricey for me.
Bought 30# of masa to make tamales. Nice little corner store front inside a strip mall off Manchester. Little abuelitas hand making tortillas.
So friendly and accommodating. Best tortilla you'll ever see.
Outstanding Carne Asada tacos. Some of the best I’ve had in LA in 30 years.
The food is delicious! I was greeted right away and the staff is very friendly. I love getting their freshly made tortillas to go!
Hector, his daughter, and the cook are very friendly and lovely! Tlayuda with tasajo (beef) and quesillo was delicious. The tostadas are great as well. Their menu has fresh tortillas and the chips are very tasty without all the unhealthy ingredients that other tortillas have.
Maria's Tortillas is a hidden gem! What a fantastic place to buy fresh handmade tamales. It's a small strip mall setting with limited seating inside. However, I ordered to go and suggest doing the same. I personally ordered one shredded beef and one sweet corn tamale and they were both full of flavor. She also included fresh tortilla chips with salsa. For refreshments she had a nice selection of recognizable brands to choose from. Highly recommend for an authentic experience!
Big portions friendly staff and delicious coffee. Came here in the morning real quick and was happy I chose this place. Can’t wait to come back

The only store open before 10am apparently. Great customer service, authentic feel and taste of food. I'm not an expert, I was just have hungry.

Good tamales. Lots of good options. Next time I will try the birria/barbacoa. Ten dollars minimum purchase if paying with credit card. They also sell tortillas by the pound.
Stopped here on our way to LAX for for breakfast burritos and tamales. We would definitely be back for the burrito, it was made to order, very hot and flavorful! Salsas had a small kick to them too. The tamales were good, they only had rajas when we went, the masa on the outside was a bit hard, but not bad at all. Overall would definitely be back!
This place is similar to Ramona's except smaller. They make tortillas which is their specialty. They also sell Mexican food. Their tamales are really, really good. I highly recommend the green chili and chicken. I gave this place a four star because their hours of operation end early, like at 2pm.

I got a tortilla in case of chips for my chilqguiles
Food was decent, but on the pricey side. Old lady running the joint was a little rude and argued with me about using a credit card. Wanted me to pay cash saying her cc machine was broken. After I said I wanted to just cancel my order she accepted my card. I suppose this was because she didn't want to pay the 3% fee for the cc company, which was poor way to treat a customer.

Disappointing. The worst flour tortillas ive ever had. Sold a week past the expiration date, had a strange smell , stiff and when you warmed them they became hard plastic like. We threw them away. Never again
Beware. Horrible experience. Ordered some webos rancheros and I asked about tortillas because they usually come with order. NOPE. If I wanted 3 tortillas I would have pay for an entire package of tortillas just to have some with my breakfast.
