Pitfire Los Angeles Reviews
On super bowl Sunday in February 2026, our Epilepsy Foundation Los Angeles hosted a meeting with teens and parents for our Epilepsy Walk Los Angeles at the Pitfire Pizza location on Washington Blvd. Initially, I was coordinating with William Turnball, and then both William and Chris Isaacs (who was my point person onsite). Both were incredibly patient asking my trillion questions and making sure the event was going to be perfect for us - which it was! Thank you, Chris and Pitfire for making us feel so welcome on one of the busiest pizza days of the year! We loved making our own pizzas!
Love the vibe. Buffed cement floors, plywood booths, open ceiling with exceptional food. Service was fast. Got white bean soup, trio of vegetables- broccolini, roasted cauliflower and salad, chicken meatballs with whipped ricotta. My kids ate pizza and meatballs- finished everything. A must if you’re in the area.
We love this neighborhood spot - good ambiance and family friendly. Amazing seasonal pizzas. Great drink selections. Leave room for desert!
I really enjoyed my visit to Pitfire Pizza! The pizza was delicious — perfectly baked with a crispy crust and fresh toppings. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The atmosphere was casual and comfortable, great for hanging out with friends or family. Staff were friendly and service was fast. Plenty of parking and the restaurant was clean and well-organized. Overall, it’s one of the best spots for artisan-style pizza. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great pizza and a cozy vibe! 🍕✨
Craving good pizza tonight and not knowing where to go ended up here, starving and craving chopped salad, wood fired pizza and beer. The ambience is below par to say the least, with rap music playing, hard wooden chairs and benches and stark surroundings. But with my stomach growling, this wasn’t my main concern at this time. We had to order at the counter - another minus. I hate having to wait on myself at restaurants. But, the kind person behind the counter was gracious enough to help us choose from among the craft beers offered and even gave us samples. We ordered the Field Mushroom Pizza, the Vegetarian Chopped Salad and the Charred Brussel Sprouts. Everything was delicious and we had quite a bit to take home.
Who is debating coming here or another pizzeria in the area but I sure am glad I picked this place! All the ingredients are fresh.I experienced great service! The place is clean. Large selection of beer and on tap options as well. Definitely will be coming back! They must try if you’re in the area.
Okay this is definitely one of my favorite places. We don’t come often to not tire ourselves with the food. Love the fact that it’s made fresh to order. We usually get the same thing and don’t get to crazy with the menu. We usually get the Roasted chicken & mushroom cavatappi with extra sauce also a Pesto chicken pizza. Don’t forget to always try their seasonal lemonade. When we went this time they had blood orange lemonade! Frankly I would say the whole menu is great!
Defiantly a must when you Venice beach! The pizza was amazing! We got the pest pizza and the Meat lovers and it was 10/10 :) Brussels sprouts it’s sooo good and the mozzarella knot is soooo good too! The kale salad is great ( my sister loved it! ) and the Mac and cheese is really good too! Definitely I will come back :)
Stopped in for a quick diner while traveling for work. Fast casual style pizza place. Not just pizza. Lots of salads and pastas to choose from also. Pizza was good not great. Crust/dough was the star of the show. Just need to elevate the sauce and cheese a bit. If you like a very loud restaurant where kids run wild, this is your place.
Here’s what you need to know: really enjoyable pizza for an Uber eats delivery to our hotel. The shaved kale salad and field mushroom pizza were absolutely deligh. Kids enjoyed their pepperoni pizza too. Quality and portions made for a very good QPR Mushroom pizza was rich and very well seasoned (no tomato sauce). Only thing it was lacking was a touch of acid - maybe a balsamic or some lemon drizzle. But we loved it. Shaved kale salad was great with plenty of nuts and toppings. Didn’t even need the dressing which was mediocre anyhow. Kids enjoyed their pizza too but perhaps the least value - too Tony for $10 Overall, while not a destination restaurant, we would order for delivery again if we were doing a hotel stay nearby.
I actually think the pizza is five stars but it is so annoying that every time I order for pickup I get punished. I love to have Caesar salad with my pizza and every time I ask for it I come pick it up and my Caesar salad is waiting on top of the pizza which is on top of the heating plates. I do appreciate keeping the pizza hot but I hate having my Caesar salad heated up and wiltered. It's almost like they don't know what they're doing even though their pizza is phenomenal. I understand they don't want to forget the salad but put some kind of a sticky note or something. Don't put the Caesar on the hot plate. Duh!
"I was really looking forward to this meal, but my order was completely black on the bottom and inedible. I politely brought it to their attention, hoping for a replacement, but they just told me it's 'normal.' I had to throw it in the trash without eating it. Poor customer service and a waste of money. See the attached photo."
What the actual heck. I came to pick up my order and as I was walking up to the door, a woman inside looked directly at me and locked the door. I tapped on the window and multiple employees saw me standing there, but no one acknowledged me. I could clearly see my food sitting under the heater. I waited for several minutes and continued to be ignored. I eventually called the restaurant and the same woman answered. When I asked if my order was ready, she told me no and hung up on me, even though it should have already been prepared. This was an absolutely horrible and disrespectful way to treat a customer.
I’ve lived in LA for 15 years and am always on the lookout for great pizza, so it was my idea to give this place a try. When ordering, I asked if their pizza could compete with New York’s, and I was confidently told “Yes.” Unfortunately, our experience was terrible! The pepperoni pizza barely had any cheese — several slices were almost completely bare. I brought it back to the counter and spoke with someone named Will, who was dismissive and short with us. When I explained the issue, he just said, “That’s how we make our pizza. The cheese is measured.” No offer to help, no apology. I carried the pizza back to our table while the men behind the pizza counter stared and snickered — incredibly unprofessional and rude. We live just ten minutes away, but after this experience, we’ll never go back. I’ve already told my neighbors about it. A $50 lunch wasted — most of the pizza was left untouched on the table.
FIELD MUSHROOM pizza Thank you for a spoiled evening. I ordered a pizza with extra pepperoni and bacon — instead, I received a completely burnt pizza. When I called the restaurant, they said, “Oh, we apologize, but you should call DoorDash.” After 40 minutes with DoorDash support, I got only a $5 refund out of $46 spent. In the end, I couldn’t even eat that pizza because it was completely burned. Totally disappointing experience.
Yesterday I picked up my order from Pitfire Pizza. In addition to the delivery order, I also ordered a salad for myself. The staff member who was helping me was very rude. He didn’t even listen when I tried to explain that I had two separate orders, didn’t check carefully, and spoke in an irritated tone. I had to wait there for a long time, and during that time, he acted unpleasantly, as if I was bothering him. Such behavior completely ruins the impression of the restaurant. Later, I found out that the same employee gave me a one-star rating in the app for no reason. I didn’t do anything wrong — I was just waiting for my order and trying to explain that I had two. After I left the restaurant, I saw in my account that he had rated me with one star. That was very unpleasant and unfair. I’ll try my best not to take any orders from this place again.
This place was GROSS. Definitely bottom of the barrel pizza. The wings were very dry and chewy, it felt like eating tough leather. The pizza was served cold and flimsy. The pasta was overcooked and soft, the sauce tasted like canned sauce. The Mac n cheese was cheesy but had no flavor whatsoever. On top of all of this, the staff was extremely rude especially the manager or owner who scolded us when we came to pickup the food. He treated us like we were stealing the food instead of being paying customers. Save your money and eat somewhere else!!
