Safron Los Angeles Reviews
Food was good. Portions were good and filling.
Love this place! I love chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and Saffron is great for a quick meal
Good, delicious food with affordable prices. Very near to the museum of contemporary art. I had samosas, and being from India, I can say they were really good. Fresh food, recommended stop for hungry tummies.
Delicious, well seasoned, and vegan friendly.
Great little place for lunch. Tried the bowl with Chicken Tikka and Garlic Naan. I also grabbed the cilantro lime for the Naan. All was great for a quick lunch. Definitely going back.
Really great Indian food! Took my whole family everyone tried something different. I enjoyed the Indian Burrito & Spiced Fries! Personally enjoyed the Lentil Soup and Chicken Curry, it wasn’t to spicy and the rice was cooked well. It’s hard to find good take out in dtla so I’ll def. be back for more🤘🏻Great price for everything we got! Lots of food they weren’t stingy. A Must Try
Bidesha was great! Took care of our group all night. Superb service that made us feel right at home! We have become regulars because of her!
Authentic Indian flavours we tried lunch plate and 4 dishes between the 2 of us, all tasted good: saag paneer, chicken and lamb curry and dhal. All extra green and red chili sauces were tangy and fresh. The only minor point was rice was not basmati but it’s nice they offered a brown rice option. Highly recommend for a quick tasty lunch

I look forward to eating here every time I'm in the office! Great flavors and great price. Desi stamp of approval. Don't listen to the haters!

Excellent food and great prices. I had the combo with chicken and lamb Tikka. The lamb was tender tho needed a little salt. The chicken was excellent. I got the combo plus naan and raita and iced tea for $24. Not bad for DTLA
Got food quickly, which was nice. Food was ok. Chicken Tikka masala was good. Saag Paneer is not so great. A Thali combo is quite sufficient.

I ordered the combo plate with chicken tikka masala and saag paneer, which was about $13. For plenty of actual food with nutritional value at this price, it’s a good deal. The restaurant is kept clean and the service is good. However, the food itself was unimpressive. I’m no Indian food expert but I felt like every dish was missing something. Plus, the curries were all too oily and lacked strong flavors. The naan was alright and they have some nice chutneys and other sauces available. Overall, mediocre food for a decent price. Not a terrible lunch but I would only come back here if I had very few other options.

The quality of food has gone down substantially. Ordered chicken tikka masala and curry and both dishes are watery and just small chicken pieces boiled in gravy. Surprisingly the chicken tika masala has no tika and only hard boiled chicken.
The food here is good. But on this day, I got a half a bag of fries for four bucks. Definitely check your food before you leave.
The rice tasted faintly of plastic and the portion size is laughable for the price. I ordered the lamb curry and it was probably the most watery curry I have ever eaten. The service was great however, and the Naan is quite flavorful.
Went there recently but to be quite honest, the tikka wasn’t all that good. I asked the cashier about the girl cook that was there before but she told me that she wasn’t no longer in that location. She made the best chicken tikka. I miss it. Anyways the food just wasn’t as tasty & the naan was burnt. Whoever the cook is now just doesn’t know exactly what he is doing. He needs to add more flavor to his food and make the the chicken tikka look more red. Hopefully this gets better
Really poor Indian food. I tried 4 different curries and they were all watery and tasted bland. The only reason it gets two stars is that the samosas were actually ok. Do not recommend

They need to shut down there operations. If they don’t care about food they should at least do some justice to their location. Food quality is zero.
I planned my entire day around this restaurant, when I arrive here, according to google maps timings, it should have been open, but now it’s closed. If you take google maps seriously and don’t want a 1 star review then fix your timings here
Food was too watery, almost no rice given so it's unbalanced too, rice seemed reheated. Sag paneer - rice was stale and tasted like it was just remicrowaved. Spinach was soggy and whole thing was inedibly flavorless Mango lassi- good but arrived warm. I don't live that far away Garlic Naan- tastes plain and was so stale and hard
The food is fine, but the service is atrocious. Of the dozen or so times I've eaten here, the employees are usually rude, but this last time the girl working the cash register was downright hostile. Management needs to provide better customer service training and improve morale.
