Waited 20 min after order was placed and got home and chicken was cold and biscuits were crumbled. Not a good experience

There was a staff member cleaning the glass to the doors when i arrived and she was super friendly and genuine too! It truly makes a difference when employees enjoy their job! Made the experience all the better! Food was fresh and hot and served in a professional manner. Thanks Churches, you made my day!!

Excellent place to get some Church's Texas Chicken. The staff in here are working hard and very friendly. They even had me try one of their famous cheddar jalepeno biscuits which was delicious. They keep the restaurant very clean. It is really easy to find using Google Maps. There is plenty of free parking in their lot.

I went in to this location. Ordered a chicken sandwich. It was fresh and hot. Had to wait 8 mins for it. But I didn’t mind. Staff is courteous and friendly. I would go again.

Got the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and was told not to get the smaller sandwich since it tastes similar to a McChicken. The chicken was juicy and did not disappoint for a Texas Fast-food chain! The mashed potatoes & fries were great portion sizes & touches to the meal.

I think the buttered corn was spoiled and the chicken was cold and I think old not worth it this time.

I love Church's Chicken. There's never a surprise! It's the same as the one before and the one on the following visit. And the price is very good. Much least expensive than the others.

Let's see 8 piece mix of thighs and legs, 95% of the time 4 thighs and 4 legs and tonight was again the 5% we received 2 thighs and 6 legs. Mumm. Well it was good

The place is kind of grimy and could use some wiping down of the tables. The food is ok. However this Church's Chicken has a history of getting your orders wrong. Also when I asked for a jalapeno they gave me a cup with 5 Jalapenos in it! What am I going to do with the other four?

We went to the drive up and we'll be at home. We'll be alive. They've forgotten to put in our peppers and they didn't give us any sauce for a chicken nuggets. When you went back to manager, there was very rude.

Idk if they were learning or what but they had to repeat my order like 6 times the guy that was on the cashier was nice and sweet the lady behind him yelling everything at him not really went back inside because I didnt realize my order did not include biscuits so went back and the were good taste but horrible looking

We waited five mins in the drive the lady told us to wait one moment twice we finally ordered and we get to the window as the manager is saying "we shouldn't be messing up anything today" we get drinks we pull up and wait another ten men's and finally received or food with no silverware for our mashed potatoes and they forgot the two jalapenos

Dirty atmosphere, sticky tables, sitting area was not clean at all nor acceptable for people to sit down and eat comfortably. Chicken was good as expected. 2 stars is for eating environment AMD lack of cleanliness.

Food is decent since it’s churches, workers are nice, but takes forever especially if you pick up from inside the store.

Staff seem to not know what they were doing. While in this establishment 2 different customers had complaints about their orders being wrong. We watch a drive through order wait in front for over 15 mins. When the customer asked what was taking so long he was told one of the cooks was "tripping." Very unprofessional

Went to restroom no paper towels came back out to get paper towels from the front nothing. When we got out food we got a 2 of the 2 piece meal with side's okra was burnt and Mac tasted nasty. Ordered drive thru service was fast friendly. Paid $25 for mixed 12 piece got only legs and thighs, chicken was probably an hour or two under the light so I wouldn't say old but definitely not fresh. With the high price of fast food these days, franchise chains like these need to do a little better. Tried again got chicken that tasted like it was cooked the day before and my granddaughter tossed her chicken sandwich in the trash where it belonged.

They hardly ever serve chicken the workers there were taking chicken it was about 9 when I went to go order and they said there was a 15 to 20-minute wait so I waited then I look and I see to Two employees taking home food it seems like everytime I go they never want to work and there's always a wait for chicken I only go because it is the best one I got besides the other one

It never fails there's a wait . Even when we call ahead and they assure us they will have chicken 10 minutes later there's a 25 min wait. EVERY TIME.

There was not one clean table, nothing was cooked, the cooks just stood around talking and looking at the cashier funny, and the floors were so filthy. I asked the manager if I could use her sanitizer bucket to clean a table and she said she had none made. So, so many health code violations. They'd fail a surprise inspection.

They just told me that they forgot to cook my hush puppies. Now my shrimp is just sitting behind the counter getting cold. I've already been waiting over 20 minutes. Not happy. And why is it that every Church's I go to is ghetto. Got my food, my fries are old.

Chicken is dry, you have to ask for plasticware, and the menu says they have spicy chicken, yet when we ordered it they said they did not have it. We asked if they ran out of it or they just didn't sell it. They said they didn't have it at all. Hmmm.... Worst ever. Why even bother working if you don't even take care in your job and what you are serving your customers? Extremely disappointed.

Unsanitary the preparer of my order was sneezing around the food granted he walked away as the cashier completed the order he picked some items out of the box and threw them away then put new fries in the same box. When I questioned his actions he hastly threw the box away and prepared a new box the guy sneezing questioned why he said because you were sneezing. The sneezer then stated I sneezed over there pointing to the counter. Neither had a mask on and the cashier didnt even have gloves or washed his hands They had the nerve to have an attitude. Go here if you want snotty spray on your food. I know I won't be back.

I normally don't do a one-star unless I've had a bad experience and everyone needs to know about it what that being said it was too disgusting to even pull out my phone and take pictures of the restroom look like it hadn't been cleaned and days the service was good the place was pretty nasty I seen leaking from the faucets where the fountain drinks were and corrosion I could see the kitchen from where I was ordering food and there was flour all over the floor and I can hear one of the managers talking to the maintenance about coming and fixing a plug that it's been out for months from what I could hear her say overall bad experience

I understand that this is a busy location but a 30 min. Wait both times I have tried this location. Not acceptable while I see thru the drive thru window employees on their phones, mixing and messing up on orders. Did deserve the one star... very disappointed

Absolutely filthy restraunt. Staff complaining they want a raise, but they don't do anything. No napkins, forks, or condiments stocked. Filthy in the kitchen and dining area. One person working with the rest standing around complaining.

I sat in drive thru 15 minutes no one answered so I finally pulled to the window the manager went to the office and shut the door the crew was standing around not working. I and 3 other families waited for over 30 minutes to get our orders, while obvious friends of the employees were walking in and out taking food. They had spicy chicken sitting, under the heat lamps, but refused to sell it claiming they were out. (This is the food the friends were hauling off) This is the THIRD time I've been to this location, and the third disappointment. Idk who's running the stores in Lubbock, but they need to be fired.

I normally love this location but the last couple of times the have been subpar. The first occasion had to deal with the crew in the afternoon. The shorter Hispanic male with a white shirt on, I assume might have been in management didn't acknowledge customers as they entered. He did however acknowledge a customer he knew six people down the line. I waited ten minutes before I gave up. This time around the staff was quite friendly but they didn't have spicy chicken at 11:55 am. How does that even happen? You make the chicken fresh all day long but you don't have the materials to make upon request? Won't be coming back...

One of the worst customer service I'd ever experienced. I ordered a fresh 10pc. The food took 28 mins and the chicken wasn't fresh. Forgot to mention that it took 10mins just to order. I saw 6 cars drive off behind me. Not good for business. I hope a good Manger comes in and changes a few things.

Chicken was dry, mashed potatoes had no flavor, and the Dr. Pepper was all carbonated water.

No gloves, no hair nets, slow, my sandwich looked preassembled & warmed up. All of our food was warm & not hot. The Apple pie breading tasted old. It was not nasty though.

This place is beyond filthy lobby area was disgusting. A man had a dog in the lobby inside of a bag! Bathrooms were like using it outside, the manager keep licking his lips sexually just so unprofessional. The employees didn’t have any work ethic they were just standing around not trying to rush the orders even behind the counter it was filthy. This is what you call straight out the hood ghetto, and rude! No condiments no nothing just close the place down our get new management that care about their customers that’s spending their hard earned money. My chicken didn’t have crust, okra was burnt, and my bombers didn’t have cheese I’m calling the health department my self on this filthy place.

Never has any spicy chicken. And if you go after 9 pm you have to wait 30 minutes to get your food. Because they are too busy fixing and deciding what they are going to take home. If you close at 10pm why are you cooking at 9? Another time called up there at 9 to see if they might have some spicy chicken, had to call 3 times and employee says we're closed. I told her I thought they closed at 10. Her reply was we're having technical difficulties and hung up. Worst customer service ever

I would give Zero stars if I could. Today I witnessed elderly customers being cheated out of their order and money and then so called manger yelling at them and being so disrespectful. It was awful!! I had to speak up and they ended up telling me to leave which was fine because there was no way I would eat there or want to be served by such ugliness. I pray those poor folks were able to get some resolution after they left. Churches needs to investigate this store and employees. They are harassing customers and stealing from them and likely from the business!

Arrived in the dining area on 5/24/22 at approximately 7:25 pm. Male employee waited on me. Out of spicy chicken, honey and apple pie. I wanted spicy chicken but I could see the employee did not want to start cooking. I don’t want anyone unhappy cooking my food. I ordered 3 thighs Mac n cheese and corn. Before leaving I ask my server why the were out of product? Of course he blamed it on Covid. I said “Screw Covid” I’m sick and tired of everyone blaming poor customer service on Covid. If you’re open you should have Spicy Chicken. He then threw my receipt on the counter and asked me to leave. When I got to my Hotel room there was no Mac n Cheese or Corn. I tried calling the phone number 9 times that was printed on the receipt. No answer. If I was able I would rate this place 0 stars. Kitchen and Dining area also unkempt. DO NOT GO HERE! Walk down the street to Dennys.

My husband loves this place and I don't see why. We go get dinner today. And zwe get home to eat. As soon as I start to eat I noticed hair. How gross can it be. Nasty hair in the food. When we ordered, we asked to split the $45 order. The cashier tried to say he couldn't give me change (paid $30 for a $23 order). Then he said he would give me a $5 back and let me pay $25. I said if he could give me $5 change he could give me $7. It wasn't a lack of change issue either, he just didn't want to do it. He was very rude and acted like I was inconveniencing him by coming to the restaurant. The chicken tasted funny. It wasn't pink, but the texture didn't feel cooked all the way. The Mac & cheese tasted burnt and they didn't give us everything in our order. We had to go back up and ask for the missing items and argue that they weren't there. We overlooked our poppers in our bag (they were in another bag in the bag) and the employees were rude to us. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the okra was hot and fresh. Very disappointed in the service and the taste of some of our food. We will not be returning to this Church's.

Church's Chicken on North Avenue Q in Lubbock, Texas is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE... My boyfriend got food poisoning from RAW CHICKEN. The following day we called Church's Chicken to have our meal refunded. As we had eaten only 2 to 3 bites each. Our final bite, once realizing the chicken was raw, was quickly spat back into the boxes. Essentially our entire 8-piece meal was still intact. However, the manager said they can't return our money because we didn't have the receipt. The black woman that was working at the drive-thru window the previous evening didn't give us a receipt. So we had to get more food. And like anybody wants to eat food from a place that just served them some heinously under-cooked chicken. Plus, the manager that was working the following day didn't even comparably compensate our meal. So, we. got screwed coming, going; coming, going; and AGAIN, coming and going. With, I FEAR, absolutely NO HAPPY ENDING IN SIGHT!!!!!😨😱😠😡😖😆😷😵🤕🤒🤢💩

This location was just bad. All around terrible experience. There was not enough cooks for 1 But the "manager" didn't know what she was doing. I heard the cashier ask for change 5 times while I was here. One of the cooks kept cussing and slamming stuff because he was overwhelmed being back there by himself. Which I get but still. Come on... Speaker is always broken and then they don’t let you drive up to the window to order they tell you that if you want to order you have to go inside. Then they said it’s a 30 minute wait because they are behind on the chicken and to top it off you have the cashier handling food and money using the same gloves. GROSS! Worst experience never going back that’s for sure.

I sat in line, at the ordering box for over 30 minutes. For 20 minutes, they're were card in front of me. Those cars moved forward and no answer from the box. I called hello, she said I'll be right with you (again). I waited 10 minutes with zero response! Worst service ever. Went to KFC, ordered and food within 5 minutes. Churches needs to hire more people or train better. That was unacceptable!

Went to the one on Ave. Q at 9:10 pm they stated they had no chicken cause they were about close or macaroni and cheese. So we went to the one on 50th and Ave Q and they were nice at first, we ordered over 50 dollars worth of food,20 pieces 2 lg mash potatoes and 2 lg macaroni and cheese, and 8 biscuits. We got home (yes we should've checked before we left but didnt) and all we got was chicken, which was cold, and the mashed potatoes. That's it. Called the location and they said there was nothing they could do cause they were closing . I called another location got the district manager number called them twice and never received a call back. So they got free money off of me basically stole my money from me.

I waited in line and the cashiers ignored me to help the black customers (who were nice but came after me) first. I stood at the front of the line for like 15 minutes before leaving. Even told them I hadn't been helped. Pure racism

I spent $60 on a meal . The entire 15 piece chicken strips meal was cold except for the coleslaw and their order taking skills were poor. I had to keep asking for things that were supposed to already be on the order. I keep giving them a chance and they keep failing. The Churches Chicken on 19th and Milwaukee is so much better.

Came thru drive thru and ordered a pick up which I’ve done plenty of times before, manager Freddy asked me to get out my car and come inside and get it which I’ve NEVERRRRRR had to do. Comes to the window talking about “we on a timer” idgaf about a time and at that my order said it was to be ready at 3:26 I got there to get it at 3:31 and there was NO LINE & WAS NOT BUSY AT ALL. Freddy started to be rude thru the drive thru window bc I started to explain that I’ve never had to do that before. Terrible customer service. If you hate your job then quit.

The manager on duty this evening is very rude and can't handle a busy atmosphere. I was told my order would be 15 more minutes after initially waiting 15 minutes after ordering it. I did mumble a word but so very quietly as i do have respect in communities. Then he told me if I didn't like that he can kick me out and get another driver for the delivery.After I told them I am not a delivery driver that the order is mine and in my wife's name, he said we'll I'll just cancel your order then. If your manager can't handle working in a kitchen, he doesn't need to be a manager. He was very rude and has absolutely zero customer service skills.

Drive-thru speaker didn’t work, the lady at the window didn’t know the menu, but it was right above her head. I was the only person there and it took 20 minutes. This place doesn’t have spicy chicken, so don’t order it even tho it’s on the menu. God awful service. And the picture is the half full gravy they gave us.
