I Love Pho Lubbock Reviews
Service was great! They were very interactive . They guided me through the menu and even gave recommendations. Friendly of course. And the food is where it really got me. It was pretty freakin' good. I got the tomahawk pho. The broth was full of flavor and all the add ons took it up a notch. Will for sure be coming back to this spot.
Please go to this place! The pho is lovely (as are other dishes that my friends tried), the service is excellent, there is no wait time for seating. All in all a 10/10.
Great food and friendly servers. This comment is from 6/28/24: this place is still great, that’s why I keep coming here! As an Asian, I can speak for the quality of the food and ingredients. After 7 years, I can still highly recommend this place!
My family and I got spring rolls, pho, and a special rice plate. All of it was super delicious, and the flavor was perfect, not too light or strong! Of all the Pho places I've been so far, i really do recommend this place.
Came here twice while visiting relatives in Lubbock. Food was delicious and friendly service from Alvin.
I have came here since 2021 Spring Semester. The food is great! The people are great. This is authentic pho compared to alot of other places in lubbock.
I really enjoyed this place. Good start to the meal with the fried egg rolls. They were slightly over seasoned but still did not stray from delicious and my main was a great tofu pho dish with plenty of flavor to dig in to. Will be going back next time I'm in Lubbock
Great food, service and amazing staff/owners. Recommend this place 100 percent! Also, new boba flavors that are delicious and if you love coffee- you HAVE to get a Vietnamese coffee- iced or hot, yummy stuff!
Im super picky about my Pho and they did not disappoint at all, and the staff was super friendly. We also got boba and spring rolls which were both equally as delicious as the pho, I will definitely come here again anytime Im in Lubbock 😋
Excellent food and service! Staff is always friendly and helpful. One of our favorite restaurants in Lubbock!
Have been here twice. Soup the first time and vermicelli this time. Good service both times, good food quality, good taste. There was a small error the first time here, but it was corrected quickly and without complaint. If you like coffee that tastes like coffee, get the hot brew. It's unusual and unusually strong, almost like an espresso.
I had the traditional beef and broccoli dish and let me tell you- "It was exceptional."
This is absolutely one of my favorite places to eat. The food is always fresh and comes out pretty quickly. Friendly staff and the best pho in Lubbock make this establishment worth a visit! Not to mention the best boba you can get around! Every time we go we have a 5 star experience!
My work buddies and I eat here about once a week. The service and food are consistently good. I typically get the Pho here, and I really enjoy it. I've tried one or two other items here, but always prefer their pho. I like their P1 (their number for a myriad of meats that go into the soup). I will keep coming back for the foreseeable future.
The best grilled pork bahn mi. Inexpensive and so worth the drive across town for me. We moved from a larger city, and we have been missing our Bahn mi sandwiches until now. We will be back. Probably once a week 😂
I love I <3 Pho! The staff is kind, the food is great, and the location is convenient. Lots of choices for what to put in your pho, and also lots of non-pho options. I like the banh mi sandwiches for lunch. Check out the multiple boba flavors, too - I always get avocado. Rich but not overly sweet.
Super delicious, my favorite pho place out of all the other ones here in Lubbock. Definitely recommend!!!
Excellent food; quality is always high. Try the grilled pork chop!
I have been eating here for years and I can't imagine Pho getting any better than this! If you are seeking a hot, fresh, fast, and wholesome meal this is the place to go. The atmosphere is causal and welcoming and the staff is soo kind and hospitable. Their pho is like a hug in a bowl! I ❤️ I ❤️ Pho! 🤗
This the third time to eat there. I read all the negative reviews and am at a lost. The cafe was packed for lunch. The had the meatball sandwich and very pleased with the good and service. The wife says it one the her new favorite places she gets the vermicelli with grilled chicken. I thinks it is very good. My choices have the seafood co no pho and the traditional mixed meat. If you are thinking American Asian style quick food, there is that here locally. It will cut down my wait for a table. Go PHO
In my opinion the best Pho in town! The freshest hottest Pho! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean. We never have a wait. They have boba anx coffee with other drinks available. My children like to eat here. The prices are reasonable and their portion sizes are big! I can never finish a full meal.
Very nice people! I love their phở gà. The broth tastes amazing it is served hot, and with fresh vegetables. The workers are attentive and very positive! 1000/10 Recommend! :)
Great food and service. The prices are affordable and you get a lot of food! There are many different options, and you don't have to get pho if that's not your thing. The boba tea is amazing also! My personal favorite is the mango flavor but I have heard that the avocado flavor is really good too (despite sounding odd).
First time getting food here, typical hole in the wall kinda place but the food was delicious. The gentleman that was working was very helpful and suggested their signature dish. The pho was wonderful and very flavorful. I also ordered the crab and cream cheese Rangoons but they didn't call them Rangoons lol. Definitely will go again.
The new setting is much better. We like the taste of Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup) and ice coffee here. The service is good as well. Highly recommend!
Had the combination pho with extra eye round. Comes with plenty toppings. It was wonderful
They have the best pho and spring rolls!! Excellent food and service. This place is definitely one of Lubbock's hidden gems.
WOW!! What a hidden gem. Staff was beyond helpful and friendly. We tried the Chicken Pho, beef Pho, and spring rolls and we're not disappointed. Stop in and support this business if you can... You won't be disappointed. Awesome spot!!
Always love coming to this place, been eating here for years. Great food great service
Pho is amazing only place I go to and the service is on point the staff are very friendly
We really love this Pho! The hospitality of the owner and Allen waiter are var none. The food is excellent and plentiful. The pho and com are perfectly prepared.
I stopped in a couple of times on my lunch break and really enjoyed it! Staff is nice and attentive. Great stop for a quick lunch
From the moment you step into I Love Pho, you’re greeted with more than just the tantalizing aroma of spices; you’re enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth that only a family-owned gem like this can offer. Since 2017, this cozy nook has been my go-to spot for not just a meal, but an experience. The broth here is nothing short of liquid gold. Each spoonful is a testament to the hours of simmering and the meticulous balance of flavors that can only come from a recipe perfected over time. It’s rich, it’s fragrant, and it’s the kind of delicious that has you planning your next visit before you’ve even left. Service? Impeccable. The staff at I Love Pho treat you like family, ensuring that your bowl is always brimming and your dining needs are met with a smile. They’re the unsung heroes who make each visit memorable. Sure, the ambiance might not be what you’d find in a high-end restaurant, but that’s part of its charm. It’s clean, it’s comfortable, and it’s the perfect backdrop for what truly matters—the food and the people. It’s a quiet retreat where you can savor your meal and enjoy good company. I Love Pho is more than just a restaurant; it’s a staple of Lubbock, a culinary haven, and a place that holds countless delicious memories for me. If you’re looking for authentic pho that’s served with care, look no further. This is where you’ll find it.
We had their pho and spicy beef noodle. The pho broth was great. The spicy beef noodle was superb! It's actually even better than the one I had in Vietnam. So glad to finally find an authentic Viet restaurant in town.
Best banh mi in town..... grilled pork banh mi recommended!
We have been going there for years and still cant get enough. My girlfriend and I are vegetarian and its one of our favorite places to eat at for it. Alvin is always super sweet when we go to. Makes the whole experience worth it!
I was initially skeptical of Vietnamese dishes, but the Pho meat was absolutely delicious. I recently saw a review where a customer complained about the meat smelling or looking bad. I completely disagree. Will be returning. Alvin was extremely friendly with me.
Food is great, service is awesome. Love this place.
Let’s just start off, this place feels like home. Great food and great people. The beef pho was amazing so good I called my mom and told her about it! (Order the P4) other than that this place is in my top 3 pho places to eat at. Trust me you won’t be disappointed. Great food and great hospitality. nhiều tình yêu!
Amazing food!! Fast and friendly service. We eat here everytime we come to Lubbock. A great, quiet atmosphere but still very kid friendly!! Highly recommend
I come here all the time here tasty great portions and affordable
Love this place. Pho is spot on. Varied menu, but I haven’t tried anything else. Service is prompt and restaurant is super clean.
The staff is always so nice! And it helps that their food is great too. We always order the combo pho, bun bo hue, banh mi, along with the summer and spring rolls.
Great food, had brisket and meatball pho. Great service, very friendly. Small bowl is only a buck and some change cheaper than the large one-took the server's recommendation on getting the larger size, and it was well worth it. The only complaint is that it's way too cold in there. In late November it was cold outside, and just a few degrees warmer inside.
Super inviting and warm every time we come in! Food is always so delicious. I love their rice plates and spring rolls!
We didn't realize it was 15 minutes to close when we entered to eat. Caught it right after we went through the door, but even as they're getting ready to close they were all smiles. Definitely going to try this place again later. Vietnamese food is usually awesome.
I can not say enough good stuff about this place! Fast fresh friendly. Great good and always hits the spot. If you've never had pho let this be your first place to try because I'm telling you you won't be disappointed nor.ally I'd upload a picture but I'm to hungry.
Always amazing. Quick service. Friendly. Well priced. Great quality and quantity. Delicious every time. Our favorites are the cream cheese ragoos, shrimp fried rice, tofu vermicelli, and Korean BBQ short ribs. YUM! I have never gotten sick from here and it is always nice and clean in there.
Came here for the first time in a while I’ve had a couple different things from here but this time I got the B4 first time trying it and I absolutely love it server was so nice and respectful too!!
This place kept me satiated for four years while going to TTU, was my favorite restaurant there and probably ever in my life. Live in Dallas now and can’t find a Pho place as good as this one. From the speed to the easy setting, this place is the def one of the best in Texas. The serving size is more than enough, the proportion of noodles, meat, and clean broth are perfect and a lot - which is good. Just a better product for much lower price for what’s offer here in the D. I reminisce about this place atleast once a week, had to write a review
Pork and shrimp bun was great. Pork spring rolls were really good. Crab wonton were a little greasy, but still OK.
Great food and service! Very authentic flavor and nice price. We really enjoy their specials.
Friendly & fast service. Grilled chicken spring rolls were delicious! We enjoyed our visit and look forward to going back!
First place I came straight to, is I love pho. Our waiter was efficient, effective and I don't even think I had time to turn something on my phone before my hot food was brought to our table. Our waiter was Johnathon. I will always come to this place.
I have eaten at this place numerous times over the last 6 months and have never had any issues. Both servers were attentive and if the order got mixed up or wasn't how you had ordered it, they had it corrected on the spot. The food has always tasted great and the service was equally as good. The town that I live in does not have good Vietnamese, so it is not uncommon when visiting in Lubbock to go eat here. If the food quality or service was in question, then at this point 6 months later I would have eaten somewhere else. The servers work hard and will make sure you get what you ordered. If you love Vietnamese food, then you need to come eat here. Thanks for the great food and service!
WOW WOW. This place is super delicious Banh Mi and Beef PHO were one of the best we ever had, hands down. And the Chicken wings were delish.Very friendly staff will definitely be back again Update Came back today for the Banh Mi. Server was having an "off" day iguess, first thing I ordered was the banh mi, but I NEVER recieved the Banh mi. When I went to pay for our food, Pho , fried rice and soda I asked for receipt to be sure I wasn't charged for Banh mi, he said " there wasn't banh mi, I didn't hear it" went specifically for the banh mi, but unfortunately didn't get any
Our fav pho restaurant in town!!! P1: Pho was absolutely delicious and the portions were generous! A2: Spring roll was light and healthy. The best appetizer especially when the weather was hot. Love it! C3: it was sweet and satisfying!! Atmosphere was very chill. Price was good. 100%good food. Recommend!!
I Love Pho is my favorite place to get pho in Lubbock, Texas. The atmosphere is so calm and the service is really great and fast. The portions are perfect. The food is amazing. You won’t regret coming here! I get the combination Pho and the spring rolls many times (with a water). The price is reasonable for the portions.
This is my favorite pho spot in lubbock! And their Vietnamese Coffee is a delicious way to give yourself a jolt of energy. ☕️ It has a true "Mom & Pop" shop vibe because that's what it is! I love being able to support a small business while having a delicious quiet meal, away from all the hustle and bustle of other restaurants.
First time here, and I enjoyed the food. The place has a broken air conditioner but if you are here for the food you are in the right place. Clean and clear setting, very clean bathrooms. Kind, friendly, professional staff. I had the egg rolls, and the five spice chicken with yellow rice. It was really good lots of flavor, and the added touch was the garnish of tomatoes, cucumbers on a bed lettuce leaves. A must try place for sure.
We've been here several times and have always enjoyed the food. The service has been a little sub-par a couple times but it hasn't stopped us from going back. The dining room is nice and open and kept at a very cool temperature, which is definitely a positive on hot days.
It was freezing cold outside as well as in the restaurant! Had to eat with my jacket on. Food was good. Fried rice with very crispy tofu. But they don’t have hot mustard??? Maybe I’ll come back in the spring.
The first thing I tried here was because my co-worker really wanted to try the rice egg rolls so I agreed to try them out and they were amazing, with or without the peanut butter sauce they provide you with. Either way I enjoyed them very much. She also purchased a soup from them is was different but delicious, because you add your own choice of meat into the bowl of soup and everything else. It had a small kick to it but it made it better, they also give out big servings. Don't exactly remember the name of the soup but they have several options to choose from. I absolutely loved the rolls and will go back for the rice rolls.
I picked up my order for lunch on 2/7. I got the shrimp and pork spring rolls, brisket and flank pho, and a coconut boba. The spring rolls were pretty much just shrimp spring rolls with one thin slice of pork on the bottom of each. The pho was delicious once the broth was mixed with all of the aromatics provided. And the coconut boba was good too. I am sure if I had dined-in, the meal would have been more enjoyable, but overall I was satisfied with my experience.
Service was fantastic! My only complaints? The spring rolls were not fresh, and they never filled up our drinks. Other than that the pho was fantastic!
The food is decent, but it took me a while to get used to the flavor, and I guess it is because I am more used to other Asian cuisine such as Chinese and Korean. The Large size comes with a huge bowl, but the content only fills up to about 2/3 of the bowl, I wish the portion could be a little bit more. Don't order fat brisket because it's very hard to chew. The sandwich is small for $4+ price (Subway is a better choice for sandwich). I don't know what kind of tea they use for the milk tea and it does not have enough tea flavor in it. Our waiter that day was very nice, friendly, and patient, so high-five for the good customer service. Overall, it's a decent Vietnamese restaurant and if you are a fan of noodle soup it's worth a visit.
I do honestly appreciate that there is a place with pho in the area. However, ours were bland and the meat was mostly fat/tendon. The shrimp/pork egg rolls are meaty. No other veggies to speak of. Just meat. My husband's noodle dish was dry. He ended up using the bland fluid from my Pho on his noodles just to get them to be less dry. My 7 year old was okay with her meatball pho. My husband and I did not prefer it. I am sorry to the establishment. I typically do not leave bad reviews. :( I will say that maybe if you dine in, it is a better experience. I read reviews, and in their defense, there was plenty of food. It was just flavorless. We ordered and within 10 minutes, it was ready to be picked up.
If you’re craving pho and are in the area, this is pretty much your only option for probably 100 miles. So keep that in mind. I enjoyed the soup. The broth was flavorful enough, though a bit flat in flavor. It just needed a little extra lift for that sublime warm lift experience I’m used to with pho. The spring rolls were fresh, as they should be. But they were wrapped really loosely and fell apart after a single bite. My biggest issue, and this is unfortunately what really took the rating down for me, is their cleanliness. I understand they’re short staffed, and that seems to have affected their attention to detail. Sauce bottles were dirty and needed to be wiped down, there were tables with dirty dishes that were there before before I sat down and still needed bussing after I finished, and there was cilantro on the inside of my cup from the dishwasher. Service was nice enough, though obviously harangued. Every time they set something down on my table it was so hurriedly that any liquid would spill. Sauce on the spring rolls spilled over its container, and broth sloshed over the side of the bowl. I hope to be back, and I hope it’s on a better day and that my experience was the exception rather than the rule.
Good pho and fast service. Their Vietnamese coffee tastes likes instant coffee. If you go for Pho, then this is the place. I ordered B11, another soup-based dish they offer, and it was bareable: little to no calamary, 4 pieces of shrimps, and maybe 5 frozen fishballs. Edit 1: -1 star for an annoying employee playing loud sound sitting near the rest room
First time eating there and the food was decent. The Pho was great and the rice was ok, but the service was really bad. We ordered eggrolls and he never brought it out and never checked on us/offered refills. The only reason we got anything is because we asked OTHER people for straws, napkins, etc.
The waiter, a man with long hair and mustache was AWESOME. Very polite, knowledgeable and knew the menu from left to right. The things I didn’t like were the beef it had a certain smell and the pho didn’t taste as homemade pho from other places. GREAT SERVICE but food can definitely improve a lot.
The food was great however if you have a nut allergy do not eat here. I have a severe peanut allergy so I asked if the food would be safe for me and the person who took my order assured me that it would be, however the next day I ended up in the hospital after eating my pho. I believe this is due to cross contamination within their kitchen but I don't know for sure.
Edible but not what I was hoping for. It's an absolute shame too. I miss Dallas there was a large vietnamese community there and there was a lot of mom and pop shops selling banh mi but this banh mi I was given, waited 10 minutes for and paid 8.00$ for was... I wouldn't pay 8$ for this. I guess that's just lubbock though. I don't think I'll be back. Server looked dirty/ place had an odd smell to it. Meat tastes like it was canned and microwaved.
Taste is excellent, but service is so bad. They did not let me know the charge for extra vegetables served free by customer's ask. Other pho houses do not this service.
Let me start off by saying zero stars is too many. First-time visitor ordered well-done flank steak pho. What I received was an entire plate of fat 0 steak. The person who put this dish together should be ashamed of themselves. I paid $10.50 for a large to go plate of fat. To say I am disappointed is an understatement I actually feel like I was robbed and that the company doesn't care about their customer satisfaction or they never would have made a plate like this. I went here in the first place because it had good reviews clearly they can do better then what I got. Trying to figure out how to post a photo so everyone can see I'm not exaggerating in the least bit.
Ordered pho to go to eat in my air bnb while visiting and they sent it to me in a styrofoam container instead of the usual large bowl, I didn’t have a bowl in my air bnb so it was really hard do eat it. Not sure why they would think that serving a large soup in a styrafoam to go container is a good idea but it sucks. Not sure if they have large to go bowls available but if you order from here and don’t have one handy then definitely ask for one.
I ordered Brisket and meatball pho it was not flavorful!!! The broth had no flavor at all there are better places in town I will never order from here again
I went out of my way to eat here, and you should not expect that the bun with “grilled” chicken will look anything like it was described. Sad lettuce. Bits of cucumber. No fresh herbs or peanuts. No pickled carrots. Fish was was tasteless, maybe watered down. Peanut sauce was like watered down peanut butter. Maybe the other dishes are okay and maybe they adapted their home recipes for local preferences. To the owners, please change your menu. This felt so unfair. The server was marvelous and apologetic.
Don't come here to get full. For $4.33 the iced coffee is a scam. I use to frequent this establishment and have never had this issue. The cup is filled with ice and in three sips you're done with the coffee portion. I brought in two other potential customers with me . When they were made aware, the response to the issue was "that's how it's portioned" and didn't offer anything more. Not an apology, not more coffee, nothing. Well if this is the new portion, what else will suffer? Coffee is relatively inexpensive so if they are cutting back here, then I can imagine the food portions/ quality will (or are going to suffer)? If they don't care about customer loyalty, they ain't here a complaint with anymore care to a new customer. So buyer beware.
This restaurant reeks of cat litter. Everything is severely unprofessional from how dirty and cluttered the place is to the silverware wrapped in literal paper towels. I ordered the Wok noodles and they were severely undercooked and still stuck together. The chicken was like eating a rubber toy. When we asked the waiter about it, he told us “that’s just how it is” and there’s just meals that are undercooked. He basically said it was our fault for not asking for a recommendation. Why is anything being served undercooked?? My boyfriend’s meat was discolored and a little concerning. The atmosphere was super weird and the waitstaff were pretty unprofessional for restaurant. We kept getting stared at while waiting for our meal. Not to mention there was literally a table in front of the register to catch water dripping from the roof. Also, the bathroom was completely filthy and had no lock. This place is definitely in violation of various Lubbock health codes.
I recently just went in here, and when I first walked it was a few people in front of me, but they were greeted. I waited over 10 minutes and nobody tried to help, acknowledged my existence, but others were greeted and helped. I’m not sure what kind of business they’re running here. How can you try get comfort food and not be comforted? This is crazy to experience such bad customer service and not be in a hospitable environment. Do better.
Literally the rudest most unprofessional individual answers the phone for to go orders I have no idea why they have that dude answering the phone/ taking orders when he clearly hates his job I can’t imagine what the service is like when you dine in it’s a shame because the pho is pretty good but I will be taking my business elsewhere because it costs zero dollars to be kind and professional to your customers!!!!!! if I could give this place zero stars I would!
Walked in, it smelled like ammonia. The roof was leaking, and both servers were sitting at tables on their phones. We were the only people there the entire time we were eating. Our food came out in about 8 minutes- my guess is that everything had been stewing for hours. The brisket on my pho looked green and smelled expired, and the noodles on both of our dishes were somehow both undercooked and overcooked. The pho itself was both unseasoned and over-salted. The chicken on the other dish smelled funny and had the texture of a microwaved rotisserie chicken. The sauce it was in tasted metallic, like from a can. Though we barely touched our food, our server started yelling at us when we told him we did not want to pay for it. I could not warn you enough to stay away from this establishment. To be entirely honest, I’m shocked the health department in Lubbock hasn’t shut it down.
