The Spins Vinyl Cafe Lubbock Reviews
I’m so glad I found this place! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with just the right balance of cozy and modern. The coffee is excellent—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. You can tell the beans are high quality, and the baristas really know their craft. The pastries were fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. This is definitely my new go-to coffee spot in town!
Love to visit new coffee shops, and the vibe is very old school and I love it. Like stepping back in time for a bit. Coffee is good, and this would be a perfect hang out spot!
This café is such a gem! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff always makes you feel right at home. The food and drinks are incredible, highly recommend trying the tamales (so flavorful and comforting!) and the pumpkin matcha, which is easily one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. Everything tastes fresh and made with care. It’s the kind of place you can relax, enjoy, and know you’re supporting something special. Definitely a must-visit spot!
Definitely come here. Cool atmosphere and great coffee. The staff was super nice and quick. $3 for a double shot espresso that was excellent. Dump Starbucks and start coming somewhere that is actually cool and affordable like this place.
Everything about this spot is a vibe! The coffee and tamale's were delicious! I definitely need to try their sandwiches next time. Give this place a try you won’t regret it!
Friendly service , out of a few things but understandable for how busy they were and it being the end of the week.
Great place to get coffee and some food. The 19th street construction really tries slow these business down. Really glad I came here today
Great place to stop and enjoy the atmosphere and have a cup of coffee and chat or study.

This place is one of my favorites here in Lubbock. The ladies that own and work this place are lovely, and I swear they sell the best tamales in town. Right now, they have Cafe de Oya, and it’s deliciously addicting! If you need anything, just ask the ladies working and they’re so helpful and happy to serve. Highly recommend it!
Such an amazing experience!! I stopped by on my lunch break and was immediately greeted with kindness and a helping hand. I was also so grateful to have assistance with the menu as a first time customer & am pleasantly surprised by the options & prices for quality, homemade food and coffee. Definitely try the Brown Sugar latte! It was delicious! I couldn’t decide between the breakfast sandwich or tamales so purchased both & regret nothing! Also had the pleasure of speaking with the owner and tamale chef & they are the sweetest, most dedicated women. I will always support local & especially here. Will definitely be adding this to my weekly routine!
The Spins Vinyl Café in Lubbock is such a hidden gem! Their menu is absolutely delicious, with so many unique options you don’t find anywhere else. The tamales paired with their coffee are a one-of-a-kind treat that totally blew me away. I also have to give an honorable shout-out to the pizza bagel—it’s my personal favorite! And if you’re a matcha fan, theirs is amazing, smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere here is incredibly relaxing, the kind of place where you can unwind and enjoy your meal, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. It feels great to support a locally owned small business that clearly pours so much love into what they do. Highly recommend!
First time here and I love coffee so gave it a shot. Coffee was delicious and the tamales were amazing!! Definitely recommend and will be returning. Love the esthetics, very relaxing and welcoming environment.
It was my first time here and it definitely won’t be my last!!! Oh my goodness this place was such a vibe. At first upon arriving the construction across the street almost made me not stop, but what a regret that would have been. My wife and I are from El Paso, Tx and we are always in a hunt looking for the closest thing to home cooked tamales and I believe we found our new spot! Mother and daughter run this joint and we couldn’t feel more at home 😭 the coffee was freaking delicious! I had the Iced Caramel Apple Latte and my wife got the strawberry matcha! Both very delicious! The chicken tamales, mmmhhmmmm with the green salsa!💃 chefs kiss! 😚 I got seconds while I was here hehe, no regrets!
This is such a neat place and it feels so home like. The employees are so nice and the coffee and matcha tastes so good not the mentions the delicious homemade tamales. You MUST come to experience this gem.
Bruh! This place is nice!!! Atmosphere is beautiful. Oh and the Vanilla cappuccino is awesome. Thank you guys.

Would recommend giving this place a try! Don’t let the construction deter you, it was not hard to enter or find a parking spot. Inside there is a retro and chill atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They checked in with us a few times and I felt very welcomed and comfortable. I was a huge fan of the tamales, they were very fresh and so tasty. There are several seating options, making it a great place to visit with a friend or even relax with a book. Overall, The Spins is another great addition to the Lubbock community!

Price tag a bit high, but it's a new place and local. Coffee was pretty good. Atmosphere is really cool!! But the wait time for us was really really long.

Not a typical coffee shop. Interesting and fun retro vibe. The food is good and the coffee is too. Parking however is HORRIBLE and limited. Music is way too loud for a coffee shop, not a good study hall or meeting place because you can't really hear to well. Staff ..well I will just say they are doing themselves an Injustice by having teens with tudes working the counter. Get yourself a real barista to teach them techniques, terminology , and customer service! POS should not be frustrating for customers. Tip: if your going to try it out bring your own water (it is not provided) and have patience.

I got the caramel apple ice latte recommended to me by the girl taking my order. It is VERY good- they advertise homemade syrups and I can honestly taste it, I’m impressed. I got 2 chicken tamales and they were very good as well; the green salsa was *chef’s kiss*. I didn’t expect these being a food option but, being from el paso, i had absolutely no complaints haha. The vibe is nice, the building is perfect for a coffee shop. My only thing would be the prices- a little steep for a classic latte. I do however understand small businesses need to make a profit and i’d rather support local than a massive chain.
The shop is cute and coffee was good, but really expensive. It was $10 for a 12 oz latte. I like to support local, but I was a bit surprised by that price tag. There wasn’t a menu available so I was a bit shocked by that price. The girl at the counter was very nice, but the experience would’ve been better if they had some sort of pricing display.

It’s a really cute place, the idea is nice. The coffee tasted like 7 brews or Dutch bros coffee though. I asked for half sweet and it still tasted terrible, my boyfriend also ended up throwing out his coffee it was so bad. I asked if I could get tamales instead of the coffee and gave it back to the lady whom was very kind. I got the tamales, which were pretty good. But they ended up messing up my stomach pretty bad. If you love a good coffee bean, and coffee that actually taste like a real latte then I wouldn’t recommend coming here. Also cost me 17 dollars for 2 of their smallest iced lattes…
